Fantastic experience: All 3 of my kids went to Xcelerate, with my youngest having just finished with all the testing this week. The foundation and instruction they provide here will help your teen walk away with the skill, confidence, and understanding of driving laws that every parent hopes for. Everyone we had communication with at this school was friendly and welcoming! This really helps if you have nervous drivers! Fantastic experience: All the employees at Xcelerate are great. The owners are amazing! I’ve had my 2 kids go thru this driving school and they successfully obtained their drivers licenses. My kids told me they loved their instructors. They said each one was kind, great sense of humor, and great at instructing. Each of my kids had such great confidence when it came time to take their written and driving tests…they both passed the first time. I highly, highly recommend this driving school. Fantastic experience: I had to take the knowledge and skills test as my foreign license was unable to be converted to a WA license. Xcelerate made it a very smooth process to arrange both components and were very friendly. Would highly recommend for anyone else in my situation!

Fantastic experience: WOULD HIGHLY RECCOMEND FOR ADULT DRIVERS! As someone with a panic disorder and a late bloomer to driving as a whole, my instructor Dane was incredible. He was very patient and understanding during the entire process. They offer a practice session right before the initial driving exam which I would highly recommend if your nervous about taking the test. 10/10 :)

Fantastic experience: best driving school ever!!! i just want to give a shout out to mark, my instructor. i took all my classes with him, and i have to say that he was very professional, helpful, and committed with his role. he taught me some tricks and tips to drive here and i really appreciate it (i'm a new driver). i'm sharing this review after passing my road test!!! i'm super grateful with this school and for their patience. if you go there, make sure to take the classes with mark :)

Fantastic experience: From the very beginning the process was smooth, but I want to shout out to Jen on my driving test. She was awesome, her instructions were clear, and I was feeling so nervous that I can barely express, but she made me feel secure and calm. Their by phone customer service worked great, very fast and objective.

Fantastic experience: We highly recommend this driving school. The learning material was presented in a very engaging way, Dane is a great teacher who takes his job seriously, but not himself. He has a very relaxed presence in the car which helped calmed my daughter's nerves on her drives. I felt confident she was ready for the road after she completed their course.

Negative experience: If you are an adult driver do not test here, there business model relies on customer retention, you will be offered the chance to pay more without knowing why you failed the test. Years of driving experience won’t help you at Xcelerate, you will need to buy a lesson if you want to pass.

Negative experience: It’s okay! You can tell that the teachers (especially heather! shoutout to heather :) are very passionate about what they do. There are instructors, however, that have made me very uncomfortable. I can’t remember the other ones, but i do remember paul. He out of nowhere asks me about my self-harm scars, why i did that, if i did it for fun, if it hurt, and a lot of weird questions like that. it was really really invasive, and it made me feel insecure. There was another time when i had to be hospitalized on the day of a lesson, and even after they responded to my dad informing them, they still charged 60$ because it wasn’t exactly on the 24 notice. Other than that, you get what you have to do out of the way, and you never have to deal with them again, so i don’t mind.

Fantastic experience: The driving instructor are amazing. I had 2 of my children that went through this driving school. I would recommend this school to any parents looking to put there child through.

Negative experience: Was nearly run off the road by one of the teachers of this driving school. I’m assuming it was a teacher because it was a full grown man driving the car by himself. He cut across several lanes of traffic during inclement weather to merge into a lane that I was already in. After slamming my breaks and making space for this person who could have changed lanes behind me where there were no vehicles. Mind you we still had her a mile till the exit that we both got off on. Wouldn’t even look in my direction to acknowledge what had occurred. Instead I had to follow him till I could tell him to be a better driver. His excuse, I was committed to the lane change and I couldn’t see your bright red car. Maybe if you weren’t changing multiple lanes at once you would have clearly seen me. Because I was there the entire time. Please don’t let this man teach your children how to drive.

Negative experience: I’ve had the unfortunate experience doing my Driver’s ED at Xcelerate. It’s both the instructors themselves and what they teach. Xcelerate claims they teach “defensive driving” when there is nothing defensive about it. The instructors consistently tell you to STAY at the speed limit and there is very little leniency during the drives (+3 mph is not allowed). Some instructors are downright crazy and just hit the brake (on their side) without warning to prove a point before they’ve explained it. Here is the unfortunate reality, people in Seattle don’t drive like this. They drive much much worse. That is to say, you don’t need to stoop down to their level, just know how to avoid bad drivers. They don’t teach you that. They teach you how to go under the speed limit, take turns leisurely, do an obscene amount of headchecks, all to no avail. And merging on the highway? That’s a joke. The way they teach driving is like a pipe dream: they pretend everyone drives like this but let’s be honest here, they don’t. So here is what I found coming out of Xcelerate and I believe this applies to most new drivers after completing the program: you have a choice. Either you will learn very quickly that driving like this is tantamount to suicide, or you will continue to drive like this and inevitably get hurt.

Negative experience: They will never let you pass if you are not a student there. Don't choose this place for your skill test. They only want the money.

Fantastic experience: Best experience. Great job Kacie with scheduling even on weekends. Had a practice test with Mark and it really was helpful and relaxing he knows how to teach you and in the same time doesn't get you nervous to get the best out of you, thank you so much Mark I really appreciate you. Prices are very good compared to other schools in the area. Written test was also a very good experience and the dog makes it even better. They have the option to use your own car in the test which I have never seen in any other driving school. Thanks to all. I really recommend it for adults and also for teenagers.

Negative experience: The staff was very unprofessional. They kept a unleashed dog at their location which was running into every one going to take the test. When we requested him to keep the dog at leash due to pet allergy and other personal concerns, they rudely denied our request, so we had to return and could not take the test. It’s very inconvenient and we are searching for other options to take the test.

Fantastic experience: I took my learners training in xcelerate and was a great experience. I would highly recommend this school for anyone who is looking for their driving sessions. Instructor Mark was very patient and was ready to explain all my questions and he made sure that I was thorough with all the concepts before the test. Negative experience: Very unprofessional and rude staff. Dane kept a dog in the testing location, her name is Blue. The dog was not leashed, as soon we entered in the location she approached very closely to us. My wife screamed because the dog was very big, was too close to her and above all, the dog was not leashed. She got scared of the unleashed dog. Instead of apologizing to my wife Dan came and walked us out, he was very rude and said to immediately leave. When we objected and said that we wanna continue the test, he said very rudely and condescendingly, I am the owner, I can decide whatever I want, and I want you out of the office. We did not understand at all what happened. I would not recommend anyone to take this school for anything. I wonder how such a rude person got the license to conduct public facing tests.

Negative experience: In the past I’ve had very positive experiences with this driving school, but recently I don’t understand why they cannot get there website repaired? For the past 3 days I’ve called several times and every time they have said that they’ll have it up and running today, still not working I guess I’ll just have to go another school

They care about their students, and also value clear communication with parents. 2 of our teens have gone through their program, and we will be using them for our third when the time comes! Fantastic experience: Great school! Dane is just wonderful, a very good instructor! Though you drive good, u could feel nervous sometimes because of the test. But he is very assuring during practice and guides you right. Dane is pleasure to deal with. On any day I would recommend this school and specially Dane to feel confident, learn the right things and pass the test. I wish I would have known this place earlier. And I suggest practice + test i.e., half hr practice session before the test, that could help one get the feel of that car and warm up.

Negative experience: One of the front office staff members was extremely rude and I did not have a very pleasing experience with her. She treated me differently than the people in front and behind me and talked to me in an aggressive tone, when there was only a misunderstanding for signing a check-in sheet. All other staff members were helpful.

Fantastic experience: Terrific drive school. the process to get your teen a license is a little confusing and the system they set up (website, online scheduling, class make up system, and summary handouts) makes sure you get all the steps done in order and in a short period of time. Highly recommend it!!!

Negative experience: Don't take the driving test here with a woman examiner. I have taken three times here and all failed. She told me I didn't check my mirror and my right back. I actual did it! I won't take any more test here.

Negative experience: Do not have a driving test in this school with a woman sorry I do not remember her name. And I do not want to describe her in case someone might say I am judging her. A two years foreign driving license holder failed driving test twice in this school(right, I don't have an international license). Is this reasonable? May I think it is a good way of making money and wasting my time?If I have a choice I will choose a robot as my examiner. I was driving and she was playing her nail? At the end, she says You did not check the vision of back. Fair enough. I am done.Tips: use your own car to do the test if you still choosing this school.

Negative experience: Nothing really to do with the school but this morning while driving to work a Ford Explorer came inches from crashing into me on my motorcycle. All while going 35 mph. Nothing gets your heart pumping more than an awful driver with an Xcelerate Driving School bumper sticker.....

Fantastic experience: Driving Lessons at Xcelerate are clear and teaching methods by instructor tells us a fact that he is very passionate about teaching driving lessons to beginners. Though I have driving Skills in my Birth Country, I came to Xcelerate to attend for both Written and Driving Test for getting a WA State Driving License. The impression which I liked about the instructor here is, he would assess your driving skills by basic questions and try to take a ride with you and tells how much time you need to practice and teaches important driving techniques. Dane is a friendly instructor in the School. He helped me in learning Left Hand Side Driving as I have driving skills in Right Hand Side. In the last step, He Charges Decently not too high as his competitors. They have two good cars in the fleet. A nice Teaching room and a hospitable nature for their customers. Thanks Dane. Fantastic experience: I would certainly recommend this place to anyone looking to get driver training, or to take the written/driving test. I called on saturday afternoon and got an appointment the same day at 7pm to take both the written and driving test, try doing that at the dmv... Dane was a pleasure to deal with, the vehicle that was provided was excellent, there were no lines to deal with and it was very relaxed and simple. I even got to take the written test in my living room. I do have to go back to the dmv to pick up the license, but as far as the testing, everything was included. Thanks Xcelerate!

Fantastic experience: I like this driving school very very much! They have excellent people working there. I was there to take the driving skill test, and the instructor was really good to me. I don't need to pay before scheduling and taking the test. Let me say this again - I DON'T NEED TO PAY BEFORE THE TEST. I'm writing this review because I would like to tell people that the instructor in the school is passionate about teaching and they are not like any other commercialized driving schools out there like defensive, that takes all your money and say you can't take the test in the next 3 weeks. They also have a nice classroom, with nice tools and useful teaching aids in helping students to learn. They have 2 cars in their fleet, in nice condition. Get prepared to pay in cash, because they said to me paying in credit card would cost them extra.
