Negative experience: The worst experience I've ever had. The driving lessons were fine. All my practice was done with cars that use a key to start. All of a sudden the test was in a push to start car which they knew I had no experience with. The driving lessons were never done in a push to start car either. I was failed for not knowing how to start a car that I had no experience in and that they never taught me how to use. Failed for not being able to start this car though I said mutiple times I had no experience with it. I didn't even get a chance to drive, waste of money. Took the test at a dmv with no problem so I know I would've passed had I been able to actually take the test. Absolutely ridiculous. Edit to update: I received no such video

Negative experience: I have dealt with Epic driving school on three separate occasions—once in 2019 when the state required me to complete a class to transfer my out-of-state license, and twice when I purchased the teen driving program for my sons. Each experience was plagued with gross unprofessionalism, incompetence, and a complete lack of respect for customers' time and money. Repeated Cancellations & Scheduling Chaos: For my oldest son’s 8-hour teen driver instruction in June 2024 and my youngest son’s instruction in December 2024/January 2025, we encountered an outrageous seven last-minute cancellations by the instructor—each time within an hour of the scheduled lesson. Given that these were in-home pick-up sessions, this was beyond frustrating as we had planned our days around these appointments. Rescheduling was a nightmare, requiring multiple calls to management just to get new dates. Instructor Vaping in the Car During Lessons: The unprofessional behavior extended far beyond scheduling issues. During my oldest son’s lessons, the instructor was vaping inside the vehicle while teaching my son how to drive. This is not only reckless but completely unacceptable for a professional driving school. When I complained, I was assured that disciplinary action would be taken. However, to my absolute disbelief, the same instructor showed up to teach my youngest son and continued vaping in the car during lessons. Clearly, no corrective action was taken, and the school has no real accountability for its instructors. If anyone with the state reads this and wants more details please contact me and I will be happy to provide more information as the instructor was vaping in a closed vehicle with a minor in the seat next to him.I Road Test Scheduling Disaster: For both of my sons, scheduling the road test was yet another ordeal. First Son’s Test (June 2024) – We arrived at the school as scheduled, only to be forced to wait over two hours because they had stacked so many appointments together that there was a long line of teens waiting to test. I complained and was assured that this would not happen again. Second Son’s Test (2/7/25) – I was explicitly told that my second son would not have to wait due to my previous complaint. However, upon arrival, we were seventh in line and told we would have to wait indefinitely. Unprofessional & Disrespectful Behavior from the Bridgeport Manager: The absolute worst part of this experience was dealing with the Bridgeport location’s manager. When I calmly pointed out that her boss had assured me we would not have to wait, she began trash-talking me in Spanish, assuming I wouldn’t understand because I "look like a regular white guy." When I attempted to contact her superior, she picked up her own phone and called someone, proceeding to spend the next 5–10 minutes openly insulting me in Spanish while ignoring the ringing office phone and sending every call to voicemail. When she got off the phone she lied to me and said it was the “Epic school owner and he said I had to wait”. Little did she know I could understand everything she said on the call. It was only after I spoke directly with the DMV examiner that my son was taken ahead of the others. The examiner himself acknowledged that the driving school deliberately overbooks tests, ignoring the fact that each one takes 15–20 minutes resulting long wait times that in his opinion are 3-4 times longer than even at the DMV. Final Verdict This school preys on the fact that parents have no choice but to use a private school if they want their teen to get licensed faster. The level of unprofessionalism, incompetence, and outright disrespect for paying customers makes this school absolutely not worth the money. The instructors are unreliable, management is rude and unprofessional, and the entire operation is disorganized and unethical. If you value your time, money, and your child's driving education, avoid this school at all costs.

Fantastic experience: Taking driving lessons at the Bridgeport location was truly a wonderful experience. I am so grateful to the instructors that I have met and how they made driving comfortable. The knowledge that they have given me will truly stay with me forever!!

Fantastic experience: My daughter just went through the full teen program. Really well run - the online classes were easy to book and full of information. I had to join her for a parent class and that was helpful. The driving instructors did a nice job supporting her learning in addition to her driving with us. Very easy to book classes and they were flexible to schedule driving lessons - had Saturday and Sunday lessons in addition to evening ones. Overall a really good experience. She passed her test on the first try.

Fantastic experience: First of all, I am very happy and grateful to get my license as a teenager. I had the full teen program which was very amazing! Booking all of the online classes were very easy. The driving lessons were very helpful as well, my driving instructor (Mrs. Rivera) was such a great instructor and love her energy, make me less nervous and anxious during driving lessons. As well as Raquel, the lady in the front who was very sweet explaining the eligible programs that I could take with epic. Then on the day of my driving test, I passed and got my license. Very happy that I chose epic, amazing!

Negative experience: Péssimo atendimento, a moça recepcionista super mal educada. Simplesmente disse que vou ter que pagar pelos erros dela e ainda desligou na minha cara, após eu cobrá-la por não fazer o trabalho dela com o compromisso necessário.

Fantastic experience: It took me 6 year to get my driver's licence. I failed my permit test twice, i failed my road test twice. I went to 2 other driving schools but there was something missing. Honestly, i would have never been able to get my license without Epic!! My instructor Alin really pushed me out of my comfort zone. She saw my potential and my failures but it did not stop her from encouraging. She is also a mother so I saw that side of her when she was teaching me. She was tough but also very caring. Personable but professional. I went from being scared to drive more than 10mph to driving in downtown manhattan. Thank you so much to Raquel at the front desk for patiently scheduling all my lessons. I would highly recommend this school, even if i had my own kids in 20 years and we lived in another area i would push them to take lessons at this school!!!!!

Negative experience: the staff in the school are so unprofessional. there are students who are already nervous as it is and there instructors have the nerve to bark at students because they lack patience. my instructor was rude yelling at me while on the road was in his phone majority of the time (mr.nunez) the staff here at not mindful of other peoples time. they will schedule you at a certain time but they won’t get to till you till 30 minutes later. receptionist was worse of the worse as well. i left the school in tears i do not recommend especially if you don’t have an ounce of knowledge of driving December 22nd: I ended going to LTD driving school where the staff were kind, gentle and patient. cost was way cheaper and my instructor (Omar) was the best of the best. i didn’t not leave in tears i left feeling confident and 10x better and i left 1000x times better that week when i passed my road test later. don’t walk, run to LTD where your time won’t be wasted.

Fantastic experience: I had been at another school before that did not work for me. However, the instructors here communicate clearly, make sure you have the basics down, and will help you pass your test. They will tell you what you need to hear for your own safety (and the eyes of the driving examiner), and that is not a bad thing.

Negative experience: If you’re reading reviews and thinking about coming to this school particularly, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. You’ll be saving some money too while at it, since these people are more expensive than most substitutes and clearly don’t value your business or time. I booked a 2 hour lesson in order to burrow a car for the DMV road test. I’m someone who drives regularly and legally (with a licensed passenger) almost weekly for the past couple months in my own daily and business car - I just couldn’t take the test in it due to tints (If this is you too, do yourself a favor and just remove the tints cause it’ll be a lot cheaper than dealing with these people). I’m still a new driver but I’m likely a lot more experienced than the regular new driver to give you perspective. Firstly, I had a two hour lesson which somehow ended about 30 minutes short. During the lesson, my instructor lacked basic communication skills and pointed out my mistakes without nuanced explanations or a proactive approach to helping me fix those mistakes. I remember asking instructions for a reverse parking I had messed up and receiving a two word reply rather than the instructor explaining the error in my movement and walking me through the thinking behind the next few steps and when my instructor did take this initiative, I essentially had to pry it out of him with clarification question after question. My instructor was also on his phone practically half the lesson while I drove but I guess this isn’t the biggest deal if the instructor is able to multitask. Secondly, during this 1.5 hour lesson, my instructor took a 20 minute bathroom break so my lesson was more like a hour, which is fine but at least give me my lesson: Im paying 100 an hour. Thirdly, the car I drove in for the lesson was completely different than the car I burrowed for the road test technologically and sizing-wise. The way the instructor showed me reverse parking required me to match my shoulder with the middle of the parking spot two spots up and just turn the wheel and back up. Since this car was a different size the reverse parking training was essentially useless as I wasn’t familiarized where I would have to line up my shoulder with now for a new spot for example - I wish this driving school taught people how to reverse park dependent on mirrors rather than estimating where your shoulder is at positionally and just hail marrying it, but maybe that’s just me lol. As readers, you would suggest maybe familiarizing yourself with the car very quickly before going inside the DMV to take the test. Well you would certainly be right but my instructor also didn’t show up with the car until approximately 20 minutes later from the scheduled time we had planned and was communicated. By the time we met up, my options were either rushing inside or maybe forfeiting my spot at the DMV. DMV test: After hastily locating the seat button, and the dmv tester looking at me as if i were insane, I managed to finally take a seat inside the car where I hastily powered on the car like I was shown the day prior and buckled up. I then lowered the windows to put on the turn signals, hit the break and start driving.. well sort of.. Once the dmv tester was seated, I had to waste another few minutes locating where the mirror button was before I could actually configure it at which point I started backing up as this school won’t reverse park a car for you for the dmv test, which I suppose is fine but every other school that showed up there proactively reverse parked the car for their student and gave them a brief explanation to calm their nerves.. and these schools were also on time - I only got to witness these other schools parking since my instructor had me waiting meanwhile. Once I started driving, having no clue about this car and getting used to the gas and steering wheel as it had a different feeling than the day before I realized the emergency break was still on. I had no clue where it was located thanks to my instructor & my dmv tester felt so bad he gave me a free dmv test reschedule!

Positive experience: Lessons with Mr Semeghini, Ms Lacerda, and Mrs. Baracui were amazing. They guide and teach you the basic steps of how to drive in an understanding way and whatever you needed to work on, they work with you in improving those skills. Unfortunately, I did not have a great lesson with Mr Oliveira and Mr Koziol, because they kept yelling at me whenever I made mistakes and their tone (when explaining stuff to you) was really aggressive. Because of my time in college was cut short, I moved out of Connecticut and Ms Lacerda recommended that I do driving lessons in NJ and come back for the road test only. I failed 4 times in Connecticut but I did pass in NJ, but this review is to thank all of those who I have done lessons with and had a good experience with.

I’m glad that I’ve got the chance to have him as my teacher and had been able to get my driving license because of such competence teachers like him. Fantastic experience: Epic Driving School of Bridgeport CT is absolutely the best driving school ever! Very accommodating and knowledgeable. Logan Semeghini was the best driving instructor and because of them and him I passed my road test on the first try on August 6, 2022. The online 8 hour class was convenient and engaging! I highly and strongly recommend them to anyone and everyone! :-)

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Epic, people are super attentive, helpful and respond very quickly, I had my whole process solved in 1 month even though I didn't pass the first time in the road test. Gabriel and Yan were exceptional, I can't thank enough, they left me calm, confident and with great energy despite all the stress of the test. Fantastic experience: This is one of the BEST driving schools you can attend in CT! I took the 8 hour driving class and as someone who have never driven before, I was amazed at how my instructor (Mr Oliveira) built my confidence on the road. I never once felt rushed, pressured, or unsafe. He was so calm, professional, encouraging, and experienced. I passed my driving test and it really is all thanks to this amazing school. The entire team is courteous, respectful, considerate, and empathetic. Plus, their scheduling system is so efficient. 10/10 would recommend this school to everyone I know. Thank you Epic driving for turning the novice driver into a skilled one!

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience. My instructor was very polite and professional. Did not immediately assume I didn't know anything but rather let me show him and then made his assessment. If your looking for a place to learn or refresh (like me) they should be in your top 2 or 3.

Negative experience: I will start with the positives. The instructors are very nice and can take the stress out of the experience. Unfortunately, that is the extent of the good things I can say about the Bridgeport location. The receptionist especially is incredibly disrespectful. Not only not being present on the site when she's supposed to be but then catching an attitude after having everyone is waiting for her. I'm greatful for the people who were kind there but Denise(pretty sure was her name) being rude and unprofessional left a really bad taste in my mouth about the Company as a whole. Made an appointment to be there but the poor communication throughout the company was very apparent. I wouldn't recommend to come here if you don't want any issues getting your license.

Positive experience: Good school. My nephew took his lessons here. They taught well. You can also take the road test here. My issue only came at test time because they gave him lessons in a regular key automatic car, but then the test was with a push to start car and he had no idea how to work that. I didn't understand why that switcheroo would happen. My nephew is a bright kid and figured it out. Other than that, I was satisfied with the job they did because I for one do not have the patience to teach new drivers! so thank you

Fantastic experience: Great driving school! I rented a car with them for my road test and had a two hours driving lesson just before and it was super helpful. The instructor gave me great tips/feedback and we drove on the same roads that I had to drive on for the test. I highly recommend this school!

Also, we practiced at exactly the same places where the DMV people told me to go on the test day. The DMV person on the test day even asked me to parallel park in the same spot where Ashley and I had practiced parallel parking before! Obviously, because of that I passed! Negative experience: I took classes here a couple of years ago and the instructor was terrible he was on his phone the entire time. On top of that I didn’t know anything about driving so he would drive me to a area where there isn’t many cars and he timed the time that it took to get there 15 going 15 coming back and I only got 30 mins to drive! Big rip off! So I cancelled the sencond hour lesson and the school still sends me emails about me owing them money about a class I never took!

Negative experience: Overall I can say this isn't a bad school but I didn't like my experience with my driving instructor. The receptionist was kind and was able to help me book a last minute lesson with their school. I'm thankful for that because I was testing with my driving school (LTD) the next day and I wanted extra practice. However, my experience with the instructor Jay was terrible.He ignored every concern I had and took me to the DMV first even though I told him I was testing with my school. He barely gave me any help and whenever I asked for help would basically say "Your test is tomorrow.You should know." but gave me unnecessary corrections like having me check mirror and blind spot of the sidewalk in addition to the direction I was pulling off from, adding in unnecessary verifications that weren't on the test like making sure tires were okay and wipers were okay and getting upset that I didn't do his method of verifications or driving. He just had this demeanor and attitude when instructing that is discouraging and it's just like he's purposefully unhelpful to get you to comeback for more lessons. Waste of 2 hours with him. I especially didn't appreciate when he took me to the DMV area and told me aggressively drive and force my way into a lane. It just made me uneasy. Luckily I got my license the next day

Positive experience: Honestly, this place made the whole "getting your licence experience" so easy and good. I like how I was able to do my test there which is a big up because I was able to avoid the DMV. But my only issue with the place is one of the workers, Jay. Jay was my first driving instructor and honestly after driving with him, I never wanted to drive again. He's not a bad guy he just had this attitude and weird demeanor that made the whole ride uncomfortable. One of my friends then had her driving lesson with Jay and later called to complain about him. I'm not saying this place is bad just that they should do a check up with the driver and hopefully that will better the results.
