Fantastic experience: Excellent school. I ended up just barely securing a spot last minute. All the other driving schools were booked up for months in advance and I’m very grateful I came here instead. The owners are a family of great people with a lot of patience to offer courses for students and adults learning to drive, foreign speaking drivers etc. Alison (daughter of owner) is typically the main instructor of the classes and she does a wonderful, thorough job of explaining the risks and rules of the road, and practical driving knowledge. Not only from a straight textbook narrative, but really putting each instruction into real life situations for her students to understand better. Along with Alison, there are two other driving instructors. Harry’s does a great job of making sure everyone has a chance to rotate with different instructors and vehicle sizes. From my personal experience, I really enjoyed having all three instructors at different times during my learning. Jane (mother/co-owner) focuses on practical driving and taking routes that are designed to help you with real life tasks that you’ll typically have to do once you get your license (banks, gas stations, drive-thrus etc.). Alison and Chris really work on technicals like parking, maintaining lanes, speed control, highway driving etc. All the instructors are great and no matter who you have you’ll still feel prepared and fully equipped to go to the DMV after completing their course. Definitely would recommend to any family looking to send their child for an all-encompassing driving program!

Fantastic experience: l had barely any experience driving before this course, and didn't have much time to practice during, but despite my inexperience Alison was able to make me feel more confident on the road. She not only helped teach me how to navigate traffic + roundabouts, park, and u turn, but also how to keep a level head while driving. I really enjoyed having a balance of helpful instruction, and pleasant conversation while driving with Alison. Honestly suprised by how much I learned in this course. We covered a lot in class in a pretty short period of time, and I remembered almost all of it. Alison is a great teacher. An hour long commute to get here, and 100% worth it every time.

Positive experience: The drivers ed class was fun all arpund and pretty easy until i had chris. Chris had argued with me multiple times about him grabbing my wheel in parking spots and not listening to me when i said i wasnt straight when parking then proceeded to threaten saying he used to be a attorney and that he can make sure i will never see a license in my life i felt as if that was pretty disrespectful but jane and Alison were great

Positive experience: Harry’s is an amazing school with an amazing head teacher you will learn all you need to know from Harry’s if you just pay attention in class. The reasoning for my 4 star rating is because there are three driving instructors and I got Chris, Chris is a really nice guy I just feel after the class ended when I would practice I had no idea how to park. He only taught us how to park with a little car and I don’t think I was even in the lines most of the time when he said it was good. Then when I drove with Alison I would go to park she had to tell me I was going to go out of the line with how he taught me and I cant fully stop before parking that I have to roll in. Now looking back I wish I got Alison for my regular driving instructor so I would’ve known how to park before the class ended. I would recommend Harry’s Driving School to a friend just if they knew how to park before class.

The classes were fun as well as very informational and I had a good relationship with all three of the driving instructors. I would 100% recommend Harry's Driving School to any new drivers, as well as those who need to retake the course.

My son's instructor, Alison, was very professional, great to work with (the pandemic hit partway through the class and she handled it very well), and she kept the class interesting. The driving instructors my son had were also terrific. It was a great experience!

Fantastic experience: Drove with Jane, and felt comfortable and ready for the test after the whole Drivers Ed session. Alison gave us all the information that was needed to pass, if you passed her class you would be set and ready for the DMV written exam with no problem.

We worked on so much! We got to practice all types of parking and all situations of driving. And classroom hours were very informative

Fantastic experience: I've had my license for almost four months now, and I can say that I have felt prepared on the road throughout my entire duration of driving. Harry's selective way of teaching new information was powerful and really stuck in my mind. Heck, I needed to help my friend with his homework a few weeks ago and was able to remember everything with ease. While driving with Harry's three instructors, Alison, Jane and Chris, they could easily recognize my prior experiences with a variety of tasks on the road within a minute or two. Harry's method of teaching kids how to learn new tasks was the most beneficial aspect of this entire experience. For example, when learning how to parallel park, we were taken upon Broadway in Derry to do so. You may be asking yourself, why start in such a difficult and cluttered environment? Their philosophy of it was that if you could do something to the most intricate extent, that you would be able to do it anywhere. Now, when I go into Boston to go to a concert or sporting event I am able to go where I need to be without hesitation. I strongly recommend on sending your friend or child here to check it out if they are interesting in taking a course.

Negative experience: I had two children enrolled in classes because they attended Pinkerton. Worst experience with the teacher and the owners. They said they'd pick my daughter up at home (3 miles from where class is held). The 2nd class, they didn't show and then said I had to make arrangements for makeup. I paid for all classes a head and shouldn't have. DON'T do it. I pulled my daughters out and Harry's refused to refund my money. They said I could use towards future classes. They didn't get it! NO way was I going back to them. When I wrote them up with BBB, the owner threatened me and said he'd take me to court for reporting him. Their instruction was also awful. I found a different school and the teachers there were great. Unfortunately Harry's is still around. I still have the letter they wrote to me.. full of lies. They didn't even get my daughter's name right 3x times in the letter. They had no idea what or who they were talking about. If you can, find someone else.
