Negative experience: Very unhappy with my experience with this company. My son went here and wasn’t impressed or otherwise. Just boring and had to do what he had to do. Years later I sign my daughter up as a surprise so she could start preparing. Turns out she wasn’t interested in driving at the time so we waited. I went to ask for a refund, they convinced me to wait and try to get her to come because she wouldn’t be able to get her license without the course. (Which idk how that’s true since my middle son got his license wo any course) Called back and requested to get my refund but they said that they destroy their records after 3 years so there’s no record of my purchase. I said I think I may have the receipt at home, if I can produce it, would yall give me a refund. She said there’s no way to know if she actually registered for class or not. Like we were lying. But last time I was in the office they said that since she didn’t actually register for a class she could get a refund and now they are not. And THEN she proceeds to say that they don’t give refunds , that it’s on their website (but they were happy to give me one the time before?) I think they need to come together and educate all staff on their policy so that they tell their customers the same thing. Our fault for waiting too long but I think it’s pretty unprofessional how they handled the situation. $500 down the drain

Fantastic experience: My daughter went to this fabulous driving school. She had a wonderful experienced. 3 instructors for driving was very pleasant and nice, the ladies that works in the front are super nice and lastly the driving test instructor Mr. Roy was awesome. My daughter got a 93. Wonderful people and very helpful. Thank you so much for helping young people be responsible drivers.

Fantastic experience: It is one of the best driving schools!! Not only that but Mr. Patrick is the BEST driving instructor there is!! There is no other instructor like him he is SO nice and willing to help with anything he is the nicest instructor I had! If you request any one you wanna make sure you request him!!

Fantastic experience: I had my very first driving lesson with Instructor Dshawn today and it was amazing….it was my very first time being on the road and I was VERY nervous at first but his techniques and his gentle attitude made it so much better and made me feel very confident!!

Fantastic experience: Great place to take your teenager to learn. Kelvin was a great instructor. He was very patient and provided clear instructions and recommendations on how to improve. Ask for Kelvin!!

Negative experience: Terrible place for Spanish speakers. Tried for months to book driving lessons. When they got a Spanish trainer, they kept canceling.

Fantastic experience: Ms Piper was an amazing teacher, and helped me learn so many things about driving I didn’t know. I definitely recommend taking these classes at new london, they will teach you vital things and open your eyes to how important being a safe driver is. Ms Gwen, Mr Dwight, and Mr patrick were also amazing instructors, and got me ready to park and drive well on my test! :)

Negative experience: Complete rip off; waste of money and time. Very condescending staff for the most part.

Fantastic experience: Everyone here was great! Michelle is very helpful and answered all of our questions. She even sent a link to register early at the DDS so after the road test, my sons were ready to go get their license. The in person classes were great! Patrick and Rodney were great instructors! They were on time when picking up my boys. They gave great tips to help them develop their driving skills. I highly recommend New London!

Fantastic experience: I enjoyed Mrs. Piper as my teacher, she taught me things I didn’t even know that will help me on the road. I enjoyed having Patrick as my driving instructor, he does a great job as one. Helped me learn new things and a nice guy to help you with whatever you need and answers any questions you may have. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: My daughter was almost ready for her driving test but I was unable to properly explain parallel parking. One session was all it took to raise her knowledge and confidence level. The person giving the test at the DMV didn't even require her to get all the way in the space and was like "you know how to parallel park." That evening we attended a school event and the only parking spaces were against the curb...my daughter asked, "what do I do"? I said parallel park and she confidently parked perfectly on the first try.

Fantastic experience: New London is a 100% a great school and they will go above and beyond to help you. I would highly recommend this school to anyone!!

Ms. Piper was an amazing instructor who was dedicated to my learning, teaching me not just how to drive, but how to drive safely. Mr. Dwight was encouraging and helped me with my confidence. So much gratitude could not recommend this school enough.

Fantastic experience: I started off feeling extremely anxious, but Patrick was an amazing instructor by my 4th lesson I felt confident that I would be a good driver. I am very grateful that he was my instructor he taught me a lot and also provided me with helpful driving tips! I recommend New London to anyone .

Fantastic experience: I am 44 years young and I got my drivers license through New London School. The instructors made learning fun and their also patient. I was comfortable on the road and parallel parking which I was hesitant about they made it simple and easy. The administrative staff was quite nice and accommodating. I would highly recommend New London School of Driving to any adult who wants to learn how to drive. It was a pleasure to know the staff.

Fantastic experience: I just completed all of their courses, both in class and the hands on driving, and I can confidently say this school is the best of the best. All of their instructors are so engaging, helpful, and make the experience so much better. One special person I wanna shout out is Rodney for being helpful, energetic, nice, and just making my experience with hands on driving all the better.

Fantastic experience: My 3 kids completed the program- it's excellent! Class/driving combo provides a strong foundation for excellent driving skills. All driving instructors are great, and Rodney deserves a special shout out for being especially energetic, engaging, and helpful!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had three driving lessons taken at New London and all of them were amazing. I took my 30 hours with them as well which gave me more understanding of driving, but I really want to thank Mrs.Gwen who gave me my last driving lesson she broke down every step on parallel parking, left & right lane changes, and also looking at the road in a different headspace by looking at all of your surroundings - thanks for all your help.

Fantastic experience: New London is a great school to learn how to drive because their instructors truly work to create responsible drivers who can keep the roads safe. Their classroom and behind the wheel lessons offer in depth learning and tricks to help prepare you for your driver’s test. On my last behind the wheel lesson, where we reviewed parking and other skills, I was paired with Ms Gwen. Ms Gwen was sure to describe the step by step procedures very clearly while being very reassuring. She was extremely passionate, polite, and detailed in her lesson and I felt very comfortable having her as my instructor. She made me confident in my parallel and reverse parking skills and now I feel more than ready to successfully pass my driver’s test in August!!

I love being in their classes, because they teach me a lot of useful information about driving. I absolutely adore the both of them. And I will really really really miss being around them. Created a very good bond with those 2. ❤ As far as my driving lessons went, I wanna thank Miss Gwen for being my best driving instructor! She was very very detailed at what she has done. Fantastic experience: Gwen is the best! when driving stayed calm and didn’t just say what to do but instead broke things down step by step so I knew what to do throughout the drive. she stayed calm and kept me calm even when I made mistakes. My drives with Gwen were definitely the most helpful ones I had. Very kind and respectful and not hard on new drivers. Definitely recommend Gwen on first and last drives. she taught we what to expect, and how to use those skills while driving. Very calm and collected.

Fantastic experience: This is my second class at the Driving School so far. I really enjoy and appreciate the fact they have so many really awesome presenters and instructors here. Today we had a truck driver and later a mechanic both come in and talk to us. They both gave us different presentations which was really fun and interesting. The presentations and speakers are great for helping the students retain the knowledge that we're getting. I took a bunch of pictures of the truck (with permission) I'm only posting a few of them here. Also, just as a note, the classrooms are the double doors just to the right of Dollar General.

Fantastic experience: My son took his in class session Spring Break 2019 (pre Covid) and had such a great experience. The staff and instructors are super knowledgeable and so helpful. They let you know step by step the process and speak to the young adults on their level so that they understand what to expect. They made sure to follow up, especially during Covid and took great precautions to make sure new drivers were safe during this pandemic when taking driving test. Their communication is impeccable and they let you know areas of opportunity to be a better driver. I wouldn’t recommend any other place, but New London Driving School.

Fantastic experience: mrs gwen and my second driving lesson teacher(i forgot his name) taught me how to parallel park good n boosted my confidence in driving , i recommend them if u can pick the drivers for ur drivers lesson.

Fantastic experience: Piper was our son’s classroom instructor and she did such a great job teaching and built such a great rapport with him that we requested her to be his driver instructor as well. She got him engaged in the material so well that he actually talked about what he learned every day and that is an accomplishment! She was able to instill the confidence he needed to drive solo, parallel park, back into parking spaces, etc. After just a few sessions, I have the confidence to let him drive without worrying every time he leaves the house alone!

Fantastic experience: i had such a great experience at new london’s driving school! i was taught by both ms. piper and ms. gwen for my driving lessons, and they were both very great instructors and i felt really confident and comfortable during my road test. ms. gwen had instructed my lessons for road skills, and she did an amazing job helping me figure out my weaknesses and how to fix them. i’ve become a confident driver overall since my lessons, and i highly recommend attending this driving school :)

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at new London, as they made it easy to schedule classes, be it digital or in person, and the lessons were great! Easily my favorite part were the in vehicle lessons with Me. Gwen! She streamlines information in a way that makes it easy to understand. Even parallel parking was easy with her instruction, as she simplyfied it to a few steps. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I asked people in my neighborhood to recommend a driving school out of 4 different options. Out of 100 responses, 99 were New London which wasn’t even one of the 4. They did not disappoint. They were courteous and communicative. One of their staff members (Michelle) even went above and beyond to help with an issue that we had and I am forever grateful for that. After my son took one lesson with Dwight I saw an instant improvement. He was patient, always on time and made sure to talk to me after each lesson so that I knew what my son had to work on. I’m not sure why more people don’t review especially considering the number of recommendations I received but they are amazing!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend New London Driving School! I have a 16 year old student who is currently enrolled and will soon complete their program. After checking with a few schools in the area, New London offered the most comprehensive program. I’m glad we chose them because the staff has been consistently friendly and professional throughout the different phases of the program. What has been extremely comforting for me is that my daughter is enjoying the on the road lessons with Ms. Gwen. Initially, she was a little nervous about starting the road lessons. But after meeting and spending time with her instructor, she was more confident and more relaxed. Her instructor, Ms. Gwen, is absolutely AMAZING! Ms. Gwen is knowledgeable, friendly, very detailed, and does a fantastic job explaining and providing driving tips in a way that helps an inexperienced, novice driver understand. If possible, please request Ms. Gwen – I’m certain that you will be as impressed with her thoroughness and her instruction style as we have been. We love New London Driving School!

Negative experience: I spent around $500 to be taught nothing at all,I learned how to park honestly and that's all by a great instructor who was a male,he told me i was a great driver etc.Ms.Ann was completely unprofessional,racist and rude.I was criticized the entire time and taught nothing,what was the purpose.She sat there and criticized me and had the nerve to say "we can't teach you how to drive,not our job" so what was the point in paying for driving lessons.I paid for 4 sessions and cancelled the last because honestly she was very discouraging and the last thing i wanted was to be in her presence again.But luckily i was able to take lessons at a better school and received my license.If you can find a better school,please go.

Fantastic experience: Two of my daughters have taken classes and behind the wheel training at New London. Everyone has been very professional and helpful in every way. The behind the wheel teachers were patient and encouraging to the daughter who deals with anxiety. Office staff very nice. I love that we could take the classes in any order however fit our schedule best.

Fantastic experience: New London strives to always instill in their students and understanding of how the car works and what their responsibilities are behind the wheel. I have always enjoyed coming back and taking their defensive driving course to make sure I am still aware of the dangers of driving as an adult. Everyone that works here wants to see each student be safe on the road!! You will not find a more caring group of people who look out for our new drivers.

Negative experience: I’m not one to write reviews, however I’ve never had this bad of an experience with any company. The teachers were highly unprofessional, unorganized, and very rude. Majority of my time and money felt waisted there. I understand a lot of kids think the class is funny because they basically mess around for hours and it’s not very educational, but when you’re the one paying for the classes or if you at least have respect for your parents money then it’s not very funny. My time and money spent here was a complete waste you’d be better off taking an online free drivers ed, you would more than likely learn more and be a safer driver, what’s really sad to me is I’ve talked to multiple students and parents that felt the same.

Fantastic experience: There is not a better driving school anywhere! The owner, Alan is passionate about the safety of the young ones being taught in their classes. The instructors are some of the best individuals. We have our second child in classes now. We owe full credit to our oldest daughter's safe driving record for the past 3 years to this school.

Fantastic experience: I love this place. It really shows kids like me that driving is really dangerous and you have to be careful because it is not just you driving on the road. the only problem i have is the website. the classes are not titled. all you have for a class description is "class 1" it does not show a proper title for a class so students and parents are confused when they need to book a class. the website does not make it easy on the parents of the child or the child. nothing is really made clear about the class until yo you go to the class. I just don't understand why the teachers would get upset if you sat there the whole class not knowing that you already took the class if there is no title.

Fantastic experience: Used for both my children. Loved their flexibility. Always went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Come recommended to us and we continue to recommend to others. Can't go wrong!
