Fantastic experience: Giovanni is a very good teacher, I took three classes from him and I think I'm ready to take my license test . I've never driven a car before, he knows what to pay attention to and how to train your reaction on the road. I quickly figured out the parking lot and how to change lanes.THANKS!

Fantastic experience: Alonso was a wonderful instructor for my teen driver. "He was a very thorough, good teacher. He was patient and calm and explained why we do or don't certain things." - my teen driver. I was grateful to have an option for behind the wheel while located in 29 palms without having to drive all the way down the hill.

Fantastic experience: I would like to give a big thank you to Giovanni for being a relaxed and friendly instructor in teaching me the routes of the DMV test of where to go and what to do but also reminds me of looking at my shoulders before turning, checking both left and right lanes for pedestrians or vehicles, and others during the lesson which helped me ace my test.

Fantastic experience: Giovanni was a spectacular, patient and extremely helpful driving instructor for my daughter ! She started out a bit timid, but now is a confident driver ! Giovanni, saw the areas that she needed help in and worked through it all, while providing tips on how to improve ! He stood by her every step of the way ! He also worked around her work schedule and even picked her up from her work to start her lesson from there! However, most impressively, he took her to the DMV himself and provided his car so she could test confidently ! He stood by her every step of the way ! I cannot say enough about this company and Giovanni himself ! From the schedulers to him, they are all extremely friendly and eager to help ! I will recommend Giovanni and this company to all that ask !

Negative experience: Edit in response to the owner - he’s flat out lying and honestly trying to cover himself and his team. If they knew that area was a common challenge for the kids, they would be more adamant about making sure they know the right way to handle that turn. Just full on negligence. I mean if they didn’t feel like they were in the wrong, why would they offer to do another, now “free” session? Horrible Experience – Miller’s Driving Academy is Incompetent and Unaccountable If you’re looking for a driving school to prepare your child for their DMV test, do not choose Miller’s Driving Academy in Palm Desert. Their incompetence and refusal to take accountability have caused us nothing but frustration, wasted money, and heartbreak for my daughter. My daughter took three lessons with Miller’s, costing $140 each ($420 total), to prepare for her driving test. One of the critical parts of the test involves turning right from Kenner Ave onto Jackson, where there’s a narrow bike lane before the main traffic lane. The instructor insisted that she should pull into the narrow bike lane before merging into the normal lane. He didn’t just mention it in passing—he had her practice this move 9 to 10 times during her lessons and repeatedly assured her that this was the correct and legal way to pass the test. My daughter even questioned him, but he dismissed her concerns and doubled down on his wrong advice. Fast forward to her DMV test, and she failed because this advice was blatantly wrong. The narrow bike lane isn’t even legal to drive in! The instructor at Miller’s essentially trained her to fail, which is beyond unacceptable. But it gets worse. When I contacted Miller’s Driving Academy to address this, they refused to take any responsibility. The owner wouldn’t even have the decency to call us back—we could only get in touch with his admin, who was dismissive and offered no real solution. Their only response was to offer an additional lesson at a “discounted” rate. Let me be clear: this is an insult after we already paid $420 for instruction that led to failure. They refuse to own up to their instructor’s mistake or make things right in any meaningful way. To make matters even more upsetting, my 16-year-old daughter, who has worked so hard to prepare for her test and was so excited to finally get her license, was absolutely devastated. There’s nothing more heartbreaking than seeing her hard work go to waste because she received bad information from a driving school that should know better. Now, thanks to Miller’s incompetence, we have to wait another two weeks to retake the test, pay the DMV again, and deal with the stress all over. Miller’s Driving Academy is unprofessional, negligent, and completely unapologetic. They charge premium prices for subpar instruction and show no interest in making things right when their mistakes cost students their success. This experience has been an absolute nightmare, and I wouldn’t recommend this school to anyone. Save yourself the heartache and go elsewhere. Your child deserves better than this.

Negative experience: Avoid Miller’s Driving Academy—Costly Mistakes and No Accountability Miller’s Driving Academy in Palm Desert failed my daughter in every way. She took three lessons, costing $140 each, to prepare for her DMV test. During these lessons, the instructor repeatedly told her to pull into the narrow bike lane when turning right from Kenner Ave onto Jackson. He made her practice this 9 to 10 times and assured her it was the correct way to pass the test, despite her questioning it. The first time they practiced this route she actually turned into the CORRECT lane as the narrower lane didn’t look like a driving lane to her. He immediately “corrected” her and told her she needed to turn into the narrower, bike lane. When she further questioned this, citing the narrow looking lane, he explained that lanes get narrower in Indio. When my daughter followed his instructions during her test, she failed because driving in the bike lane is illegal. The very people meant to prepare her set her up to fail. To make matters worse, the owner refuses to contact us. We’ve only been able to speak with an admin, who dismissed the issue and offered a “discounted” lesson as compensation—insulting after we already paid $420 for bad instruction. My daughter worked so hard to prepare for her test and was devastated to fail because of their negligence. Now we’re stuck waiting two weeks, paying another DMV fee, and helping her regain the confidence this school destroyed. Avoid Miller’s at all costs. They provide inaccurate training, refuse to take responsibility, and don’t care about their students.

Fantastic experience: Giovanni is a great instructor and has helped me feel confident enough to drive on the road again after getting into a car crash. Also the customer service representative who answers the phone is very nice.

Hailey has also been such a kind and accommodating receptionist; she listened to my complaints with another instructor and directed me to alonso, of whom I am extremely grateful towards!

Fantastic experience: After passing my written test, I had no idea where to go in order to get a certificate of driver’s training. That’s when my friends talked to me about Miller’s Driving Academy. I have never heard of it but im sure glad I went to the right place. In my case, I haven’t drove any car before so I had my reasons to be really nervous on my 1st Behind The Wheel Lesson. At first, I thought my Driver’s Instructor was gonna yell at me for committing abrupt maneuvers on the road. Turns out that I had one of the best Instructors in the company. He was not only chill and patient with me, he also made learning fun. To be honest, I never thought I would be learning and having a blast at the same time during a Behind The Wheel Lesson. I recently got my Certificate of Completion from my 3rd Behind The Wheel Lesson. Im sure happy about it but still doesn’t mean I have graduated in the process of learning new things in driving. I sure look forward to acquiring more confidence and knowledge to finally do the Drivers Test and obtain my license just like the rest of the minors out there. I have no regrets in attending Miller’s Driving Academy. I definitely recommend this place. I thank Giovanni (who was my Driving Instructor) for his patience and coolness for explaining everything over and over regardless of my attention deficiency. Nevertheless if I had a blast with Giovanni, I could already imagine how awesome the rest of the associates are in the company.

Fantastic experience: Over the past 10 years, all 3 of my children have had their online and behind the wheel training completed through Millers. They were very prepared for the behind the wheel test. The staff at Millers made sure that my children were confident, knew the route and what to expect before, during, and after the test. My youngest completed her lesson last week and took her behind the wheel test today. Thomas may look young but he is a great driving instructor. He worked well with my daughter and helped build her confidence. He communicated with me on what her strengths were and areas that we needed to practice more.
