Our comment from DrivingSchools.Directory about Schwartz Driving School:
Schwartz Driving School is highly regarded for its overall service and commitment to providing a positive learning atmosphere for new drivers. Many clients have shared their experiences highlighting the school's flexibility, professionalism, and welcoming environment. Instructors like Janetta and Sally have received praise for being patient and thorough, ensuring that students feel comfortable and adequately prepared for their driving tests. Additionally, the booking process has been described as efficient, with some customers reporting that they could schedule their classes and in-car lessons within a short timeframe.
Key Positive Aspects:
- Flexible scheduling that accommodates busy lifestyles.
- Friendly and professional instructors who genuinely care about the students' success.
- Quick response times for inquiries and scheduling.
- Positive experiences reported by multiple families, with several recommending Schwartz for teen drivers.
However, there have been some negative reviews regarding communication issues and specific instructors. While some instructors, like Karen and Mary, have been reported as unprofessional and difficult to work with, these instances appear to be exceptions rather than the rule.
Areas for Improvement:
- Addressing staff communication and customer service to ensure all interactions are positive.
- Implementing a consistent follow-up process for scheduling in-car lessons to reduce wait times.
- Training instructors to better handle student anxieties and provide constructive feedback.
Despite some challenges, many customers believe that Schwartz Driving School is a great option for learning to drive. Their commitment to helping students succeed is commendable, and the positive feedback from multiple families illustrates that, while improvements can be made, the school's offerings are valuable for new drivers.
Schwartz Driving School: Reviews
Fantastic experience: If im going to be honest.... this is one of the best driving schools in Ohio. They are flexible with just about anything as long as there is communication. They are very welcoming and the in person drives are even better! Thank you Schwartz!
Fantastic experience: Great service. They were able to get my son in in a timely manner. Instructors were thorough and friendly. Overall great experience. I highly recommend Schwartz Driving School if you are in need of this type of service!!
Fantastic experience: The staff at Schwartz is no short of amazing and kind! They’ve helped me and my son for months with rescheduling, issues times 2, lol. They still was caring & understanding every call of MANY. I feel they truly cared about my son completing the drivers Ed & he couldn’t have succeeded without Schwartz!! Highly recommended, professional and personable.
Fantastic experience: We have had now two of our teen drivers go through Schwartz Driving School. We have had excellent experiences both times. Most recent is our 16 year old and she is an athlete with crazy busy schedule, as many of us have. We did not realize we missed 2 drivers lessons in 6 months span since she began her classes & driving lessons because of busy schedules. The management not only helped us get her into classes she is required to take again (in time) but where she will finish her in cars as well before her permit expires. We recommend Schwartz and will use when my youngest, 15 is ready in a matter of months.
Fantastic experience: So far...so good. There are some harsh reviews of this company on here but luckily I have had a very nice experience so far. The person with whom I spoke on the phone is named Maria and she was very helpful and patient with my many questions. With all of these teen driver education companies it seems like the customer has to do a lot of scheduling and stuff online and I suspect that that aspect is just the nature of the business. It has be quite a challenge to manage that busy of a schedule with different driving times, ect....I am hoping that I don't have a bad experience like the others have reported. It was nice that they tried to warn everyone. I called later in the day about something and Jessica was very nice and very helpful too. :) I sent them the certificate that was needed and a copy of my son's temps...and Viola!! They were great --they got those required things uploaded and I was able to schedule my son's in car rides the same day! :) His first ride is in a few days. :) Thank you Maria and Jessica for the great customer service. Update:: this business is GREAT! All of the nice instructors with whom my son worked were very professional, pleasant, and very helpful by giving my son extra (very good) advice about driving and preparing for the test. They were all very friendly and patient with my son. If you follow their instructions for the process your teenager will eventually get his or her license. My son passed all of his tests on his first time. He was very well prepared because of these great people. Thank you so much again for the great customer service.
Negative experience: This has been the worst experience ever the teacher Karen is beyond rude and very aggressive she litterally is unprofessional as ever and I cannot believe the way she talks to these kids in this class unacceptable I truly hope she chooses her battles wisely Because the way she interacts with these children can go bad quickly I would recommend this location I’ve heard better things about Westerville but I totally would never send another one of my kids to this place Update so the boss of Karen which is Donna just called me no better rude as ever and yelling unprofessional I will be filing a complaint with the department of public safety they also where taking pictures of my child without and permission from me so we requested a full refund and I would not recommend this experience for anyone child they are the worse of the worse and VERY unprofessional I could not say this enough Donna also hung up on me as to the fact that she couldn’t lie to me about the situation per what she heard from Karen definitely considering legal action.
Fantastic experience: My driving instructor was Sally Wilkes, she was the best driving instructor anyone could ask for! She taught me so much and was very helpful and patient. Also, anytime I needed some help figuring out technical things for their website, whoever answered the phone was always very kind and extremely patient. Since driving school is required for the state of Ohio, I would recommend everyone to choose Schwartz!
Fantastic experience: They were alot easier to deal with then I thought, we scheduled my daughter's online ourselves and got them done with in 2 weeks, then because her test was scheduled soon after her last drive we paid a $20 fee to get the paperwork expedited and I had it in my email 10 minutes later. I was super stressed cause I had heard horror stories about getting this all done but it was so easy and quick
Negative experience: For those struggling with this company as many in these reviews: ******Another area where a complaint can be filed is the Ohio Department of Public Safety, as that is where they receive their accreditation to be a recognized program to provide State Required Courses for Teen Drivers. I believe this company needs to be investigated and loose their accreditation so the State's sites do not continue to direct families to this company when they are searching their local areas for approved programs. I would encourage others to explore those areas for formal complaints as well!***** I would never recommend this company. Would give ZERO stars - bullet point timeline below: * Contracted and paid in full for services June 5th. * In class completion in July (having experienced the difficulty of their scheduling before, contacted right away July 31st to attempt to get in-cars scheduled) * Advised, in-cars wait listed and will have to call back for scheduling at the beginning of September * Call 1st week of September and advised unable to do any scheduling as transitioning to online platform (which should be available September 18th according to their email communication and would be first come first serve basis, regardless of those that have already been wait listed) * Login September 18th to check for scheduling - nothing showing available (check couple of days in a row) * Send email September 20th in attempts to get schedule and still not showing availability * Response on September 21st, no calendar out yet for October and to call them again which usually results in having to leave a voicemail and wait for a callback anyways (I work during their hours, so this is getting ridiculous) - respond to email advising no availability to contact them by phone and asked for availability of other locations (even though this would be difficult to navigate with schedules, just trying to get this done with this company) - no response to provide availability of other locations * September 24th - receive email that they have transitioned location to be under different management. The login to the account was changed, in class completion not registering blocking ability to schedule online, balance showing as owed all over again (when paid in full in June), and the calendar that had availability is 100% booked up in less than 2 hours of receiving this email notification (good thing I have snapshots from the previous login and records - as none of it transitioned) * Immediately send another email covering all of this and requesting proof of In Class completion and refund so that we may seek services that they are neglecting to provide elsewhere * Response I received is that they have 6 months to provide services in the contract and that they do not issue refunds (unable to book in cars and reaching 5 months based on calendar already being booked). Still no path forward! Going to be filing formal complaints against them, hopefully this will help others be aware of this company's business practices and take their hard earned money elsewhere. Have a feeling it may take multiple small claims suits to open their eyes and get a handle on their operations and services - as they show no signs of customer service or willingness to get things on track as I have asked to escalate this situation. * Additional edit: read the contract and it states "No refunds will be given when we are 'willing' and 'able' to complete all training...." - despite the multiple attempts to do so and still no ability to schedule, it does not appear to be willing or competent in their operations to complete. I have filed BBB and Attorney General Complaint (review of the BBB complaints, and the additional review of the online reviews I wish I would have further researched before). I do not understand how this company is still in business with the continued issues.
Negative experience: Took over a week to get an EMAIL of my online course certificate, then I was told I was scheduled for the first week of October and now they have “switched systems” and make the course scheduling whenever u can find a open spot on the calendar (been on the site over 50 times) and not once has a spot been open so I’m assuming I’ll mis October at this point too. I completed my online course in early June it’s ridiculous
Negative experience: I keep trying to schedule my in-cars. The first time they called they told me to call back at the end of the week to get scheduled for August. So I kept calling but they never responded until today. They have such poor communication and terrible customer service. The lady told me to call back the second or third week of august to get scheduled in September. Starting to feel like I'm never going to get scheduled with such poor communication.
Negative experience: My son had an in car driving lesson for today at 5, we made it in Bellefontaine bc the wait here in Columbus was so backed up. They called at 11am to cancel the class bc the instructor had something to do with her son!!! Not only is this an inconvenience, but the way she talked to me on the phone is unreal!! No apology, no respect. You just called me the day of to cancel and than talk to me with disrespect?! Treat ppl the way you want to be treated!!
Fantastic experience: The driving instructor that our son izaak has her name is Danielle in Westerville location. She was a very nice lady. She did a very outstanding job teaching him to drive. Our other son will be going there once he turns 16. Thank you Schwartz Driving School
Negative experience: Jessica a staff member there is so rude . They don’t communicate well and take forever to schedule in cars ! Don’t book them. You will waste your money !
Negative experience: What a shame, they give 1 hours driving lesson last week. The instructor not even reply my text. At lest give 2 time in a week
Fantastic experience: My expirience with Shwatrz was wonderful! The process to start my son was smooth and straight forward. When the time came for him to start the physical driving lessons, they were 3 months backed up but they worked diligently to get him scheduled. The office manager explained that she needed to be fair as there were many kids on the waiting list but that she would work with me to the best of her ability which she did! My son is scheduled and ready to finish next week!. I ALWAYS got same day call back if I called with a question and I must say they were very patient with an anxious mom who desperately needed to get her son ready for the driving test. Thank you Shwartz! I am forever indebted.
Fantastic experience: Due to the backup with the pandemic and me being new with finding a driving school, they were the first driving school to get back in touch with me. Their in-car instructors did a fantastic job of preparing my child for the driving test. They finally followed up promptly to my calls. The pandemic sure has made it tough on the driving schools but I sure do appreciate this one and all of them. Definitely consider Schwartz too.
Fantastic experience: Our experiences with Schwartz and their new Westerville instructor were very positive -- they were responsive to our scheduling concerns and my phone calls and emails were all returned promptly. Recent changes at their Westerville location seem to creating a more supportive atmosphere for the students.
Negative experience: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. 0 stars. Beyond unprofessional. No showed us. Rescheduled, then over slept and 40 minutes late arriving. Long waiting list for workers that are rude and unaccounted for. So glad that I took off work for nothing. Find another place for in cars. I’m beyond frustrated and mad. Then they hung up on me bc I was upset that I’m sitting here waiting. Wow. I hate they way people do business anymore. Disgusted to say the least with this place.
Fantastic experience: I’m a driver and the lady is super nice and will tell you great info and very fast scheduling
Negative experience: This has been a total disaster. Instructors were late to in class training and had to wait 2 months for reply back and to schedule in cars. I have to pick my daughter up from school during school hours and drop her back off at school to complete her in cars because only time available was during school and they don't pick up or drop off. Rude in office staff and no customer service what so ever. Save yourself the headache and choose another company
Negative experience: If you hear your instructor is a lady named “MARY”…run…run far away lol super weird and not meant to be alone with 15-16 year olds. I wish I could give a zero star rating
Negative experience: Everything was a challenge. Immediately after registration I left messages with questions, including if I could cancel and get a return having then seen a review, that were not returned. The online portion is through a completely separate company (igottadrive) -we had issues getting the completion certificate emailed and had to contact customer service twice and Schwartz, instead of calling the vendor to assist, left it to us and just kept yelling about the requirement. The in-car driving instructor name Mary was AWFUL. She was generally inpatient, lacking communication skills, curt, rude, ate food in the car while instructing, and the car stank from cigarette smoke. My child was so traumatized by driving in with her in two hour increments I was afraid she would abandon the program. At the beginning of the last session Mary had her fill out a survey- what 16 year old held captive in a car for the next two hours, desperate to complete the course, can provide honest feedback on a form?! So Mary can just hand in the survey with all acceptable or good reviews? TOTAL B.S. Luckily for two of the four sessions she had a different, better instructor. Overall my fault for not doing enough research prior to registration. Minor, but the location itself has nothing to identify it other than a piece of paper taped to a glass door. Run fast towards another option or demand Mary is not your instructor.
Negative experience: This driving school is absolutely awful! Completed my online schooling in may and scheduled in June. Was told they could get me in sometime in august and once the time came I never heard anything back. Emailed them and they called to tell me they couldn’t get me in during august because someone quit. Showed them the proof they told me they would get me in august and all they had to say is that I couldn’t get a refund and would have to deal with it!
Fantastic experience: We had the best experience. The customer service was exceptional. Everyone I spoke to were very friendly and accommodating. My son's driving instructor (Mr. R) was so great, my son really liked him. I could not have asked for a better experience and I will say, I was skeptical because of some of the reviews I read.
Negative experience: The lady I had was very discouraging and was also very distracting as she was always doing other stuff whether she was on the phone, eating loud bags of chips or other foods, or talking about inappropriate topics. (such as how homeless people are just lazy people who need to get jobs because all homeless people are faking it). It was very distracting and at some points I would be on the verge of tears with how rude she was. Instead of teaching, she would just laugh and belittle me for how bad I was at driving. I do not recommend Mary at all. She was terrible and I would hate to see any other kid go through what I had to go through. I would instantly cry when I got back in the car with my parents. She was very sarcastic and had no problem being rude and making me feel bad. She would say “if you don’t do this then you’ll definitely fail your drivers test. and i’m not gonna cover this with you again this is my last time”. As a very shy, nervous young girl this made me instantly tear up and made me feel even more nervous for my test. No child should be told that, but instead should be shown the proper way to fix whatever they are doing wrong, and be encouraged rather than scolded for not being able to do something correctly.
Negative experience: Mary is the worst she always smoked and even though she did not make me cry she mad some of my friends she is super rude and never had anything positive to say was always sarcastic and was always eating something.
Negative experience: Do NOT send your son or daughter here under any circumstances. My daughter attended one class in person and said she never wanted to go back there again. Completely unprofessional and unstable teacher. The instructor described how you could stuff someone in a trunk bound and gagged to keep them from distracting you while driving, told the class about other students in the past she didn’t get along with and revealed their identity and grades on quizzes, and told the class about her imaginary friend. I’m unsure how this place is still in business with instructors like the one we encountered.
Fantastic experience: My daughter had a good experience and she learned so much from there, she also retained the info afterward. The scheduling was hard somewhat hard but overall they came through for us. Great Job. -Hassan Benlemlih
Fantastic experience: Very easy to work with! Tom answered all my questions and was very professional
Negative experience: In my class my instructor explicitly detailed step by step how to commit suicide using carbon monoxide poisoning in your car.
Negative experience: This place is absolutely horrible. I have tried several times to schedule my twins were in cars and they have been unable to do it. We did the online course and they did not send us our paperwork. I try to get my money back and they refused. So now my kids are out and not able to get their license and also we are out a bunch of money for two kids to go through a class that is horrible. Please look elsewhere do not send your kids here.
Negative experience: Does anyone know the cooperate phone number?
Negative experience: I have been trying to schedule the last of my son's in cars for three weeks and cannot get a call back. I call everyday and leave a professional message with my name and number and what I need....NEVER A CALL BACK. It's ridiculous.
Negative experience: This is a horrible company!!!. I feel bad for anyone that experiences this companies business. I signed up beginning of February for in cars. I had all my class room hours completed, 50 hours ,everything. They took my money, and gave no further guidance on what to do from there. I called them and they asked what to do. They told me to send my certificate of completion for classroom hours, and that I would be able to complete my in cars mid-early April. I sent that in and then the next day I called and asked to schedule them (I was aware that my dates would not be for that month, but they could at least schedule me) This lady was very nice, and explained to me that the lady that makes the schedules ( I think her name is Donna) has not given them out yet, and that they should be out the next week. I was told to call then. I called next week, was told to call again. Next week, again. And so on. One week in particular they didn't answer their phone for 8 days! I called 3 times each day, for 8 days. That's 24 calls!!! Finally, my dad had to take me down to the place and they told me they aren't located here anymore (why wouldn't you change your address?) and that she would have someone give me a call. Never got a call, and I had to call myself. I explained to the lady, (I think Donna) that I've left 24 messages, and had gotten no response. She cut me off and very defensively said, "I did leave messages." This however isn't even true because my voice mail isn't even set up. I had my parents call them, and she said that they were behind. My mom told her she understood this, however the communication has been very poor. They both agreed that she would call us on the first of April. We put it on our calendars, and she said she did too. We stopped calling for 3 weeks, just like we had agreed on. April rolls around, no call. We finally call like april 3rd or something like that. I simply asked to be scheduled. The girl (the nice one) told us that I was on the list to get schedule the next week, so to call back then. (Which is quite weird to schedule someone a week in advanced, but whatever we took it) Waited the week, and I was told that the lady who did the schedule had some family issues going on and would be out weeks to months. I empathize for the lady, however if you are going to be out that long you need to find someone to fill in. It's not fair to me and others to be pushed back, after I worked really hard to have my classes completed. We wanted a refund They very rudely and loudly said "We don't give refunds" Donna said that my dad was implying she was dumb, after he asked a simple question. She rudely hung up the phone. It was awful. I was standing there listening to the whole thing, and at that point I didn't even want to get in the car with them because I was kinda scared due to their behavior we had been getting from them. My dad sent a email, and told them to PLEASE respond in a week. They didn't and when we called the lady she said she had replied. We saw nothing. So we kindly asked her to re-send the same EXACT email. She quickly acted confused, and just kept saying "I sent the email" and "you can't get a refund" So honestly I think she was caught in the lie, because that's a simple thing to ask for. We just wanted proof of an email being sent, because we received no email . All she had to do was press send again. We also asked to speak to this one manager. They told us she wasn't in all day. We called again about 30 minutes later, and that same manager (We asked for her name and position) answered the phone. Another lie. Long story short, we got our money back. If you want your money back try going through the bank. Be very persistent about it. I went to queen coco. We called and they answered with exact dates, and full details. They were extremely friendly, and never once got an attitude with me when I asked questions. I was put on the schedule that day (April 15th) and will start May 3rd!
Negative experience: This is the WORST company to work with! PLEASE people DON’T go there. We finally went this morning, after waiting for a while, for the first In cars lesson for my son, we got to the place and they are no longer at the address they advertise in their website! This is a total joke! Nobody answers the phone, there’s no one to complaint to, this is ridiculous! Don’t spend your time, money and energy in this company.
Negative experience: This place sucks and won’t do anything to help doesn’t answer/ return calls. One class got a snow cancel and I was pushed a month back to get my liscence. Do NOT use this place!
Negative experience: There worst driver school in Columbus because couple of there coworkers put the whole process of finish it slowly. If you want to get anything done less then 7 months then don’t go here. Toke me around seven months to finish with their program. Please for your sake don’t go here..........
Negative experience: I signed my daughter up in June 2020 for in-car driving lessons. I have called and emailed multiple times asking for her to be scheduled without a return call or email. I had asked for a refund after a couple of months but they emailed back that I was in contract for 6 months. The contract has now expired (1/7/2021) and they have not honored several requests to refund my money since they did not provide any service. Wish I had read Google reviews before using them. There are many reviews citing similar experiences. So frustrating! I am starting a dispute claim with my credit card company in an effort to get my money back.
Negative experience: Mary is the absolute worst! Don’t recommend coming from a mother.
Negative experience: This is the worst company I have ever encountered. They took my money for my daughter's in car lessons back in March. Asked us to be patient with them due to covid shutting them down. Was happy to do so. However, when it came time to reschedule, they were impossible to reach. I would call and not be able to get through...not even to voice mail. I emailed. No timely response. Finally someone got back to me many months later. She was very rude and unprofessional. Said they do not give refunds, but said she would pass my info along to the manager. Manager never called me back. Had to file a dispute through my credit card company and that's how I finally got my money back. They are THE WORST. We went through All Star in Upper Arlington. They were professional and honest and timely.
Negative experience: No stars would be a better rating for this school. Refusing to give me my money back for classes that they cannot schedule due to being overloaded. I signed up and tried to schedule in July, at that time they said scheduling could not begin until October. Called in mid-October and they immediately. Told me that they couldn't;t schedule me in December. Asked for my money back so I could go elsewhere and they refused. Manager immediately took a defensive tone and yelled at me which is why I asked for a refund.
Negative experience: Terrible experience, rude instructors that yell and do not teach. Never answer the phone very disorganized with everything. Awful driving school. Do not attend.
Negative experience: By far the worst “driving school” ive put one of my children to would not recommend to anyone even if it was completely free driving instructor very rude and hard to reach
Negative experience: They do not return calls. When we got ahold of them for in-car instruction, the staff was incredibly rude and did not apologize for not returning calls. Will not be recommending this to my peers.
Negative experience: Doesn’t respond for in cars and the instructors are bad and unprofessional
Positive experience: Highly recommend Janetta, she gives instruction clearly and allow the driver to learn in a safe environment.
Negative experience: CHECK THE BBB WEBSITE ON THIS COMPANY. THEIR ACCREDITATION WAS REVOKED. I WISH I would have read the reviews before I decided to give this company $400 to "teach" my son how to drive. The worst experience he EVER could have had & I've tried emailing & calling to speak to a manager about this but they REFUSE to call back. Actually there was ZERO communication the whole time, oh except at first before they got their hands on my hard earned money! Don't do it!!!!
Fantastic experience: I did my in cars here and they were great! I highly recommend Janetta, coming into my in cars I didn’t know what to expect but she made sure I was comfortable and getting all the information I needed. Also a huge shout out to Linda for getting my certificate done super fast!!!
Fantastic experience: Loved the experience. Was able to get all my classes done within the week of winter break. I was also able to finish all my drives throughout the same month span. Personally, if you plan on scheduling incars. Request Janetta. She is the best instructor I have ever encountered in my life.
Negative experience: My instructor was incredibly rude and unprofessional throughout the entire 2 hour drive. She smoked before so her car reeked of cigarettes and she was constantly eating bags of chips while laughing at how bad my driving was. I was on the brink of tears the entire time and burst into tears when I finally got home. I do not recommend Mary unless you want your confidence and spirit broken in just 2 hours.
Positive experience: I took the online schooling. It wasn’t too bad. My only problem was how I was taking my final exam and after the required break time, it started me over. The in cars were really great though. I highly recommend Janetta. During my in cars, I wasn’t nervous at all while she was there. She’ll also find your problem spots and make sure you get that together. Mine was maneuverability but she made it so simple. She’s honestly the only reason my rate even hit a 4.
Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience with Schwartz driving school. All my in class sessions consisted of great instructors and feeling very comfortable and having all of my questions answered. I’ve had a great instructor, Janetta, whom I was with for almost all of my drives and helped make me feel confident being behind the wheel and will recommend to all future students!
Fantastic experience: My experience at Schwartz was great. I learned a lot during the classes and got my in cars scheduled as fast as possible. I had two driving instructors, Janetta and Robert, and they were both amazing. Not only did they teach me everything I needed to know but made me comfortable behind the wheel.
Fantastic experience: My instructor was very nice and helpful and I genuinely learned a lot. They are a really good company!
Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Schwartz driving school. They were able to get me in with my in cars fast, and within a week I had them done. My instructor, Janetta, was very very nice and patient with me, and it was great having the same instructor all 4 sessions. She helped me a lot with some of the driving issues I was having and helped me build more confidence behind the wheel. Thank you guys:)
Negative experience: Do not use this company. They refuse to return calls or texts. Won't answer emails. They are refusing to refund money owed and keep dodging responsibility. Next call is to the attorney general and better business bureau.
Negative experience: DO NOT USE THIS SCHOOL, ABSOLUTE JOKE OF A BUSINESS. Horrible, rude and nasty on the phone. Never took a class, they couldn’t get one scheduled. Just kept lying and saying they would get an instructor and call us back “tomorrow”. After 3 weeks of calling about every other day i requested my money back and the lady got belligerent with me on the phone using profanity. Hope this place is out of business soon.
Negative experience: A horrific business. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. Registered for in-cars and was lied to about the time frame. Told to call back in several weeks. Patiently waited and did call back. Was lied to again. Waited longer and lied to again. And again. They strung me along for 5 months and REFUSED to allow me to register or get my $350 back. Horribly rude office staff who will scream at you for asking a question.
Negative experience: Purchased lessons in full, almost 2 months ago. Still haven't heard from driving instructor. This business needs to get its act together. Edit; Finally heard from instructor and he his wonderful. Great teacher, and his very patient and kind. Still am frustrated and disappointed in the process it took me to get to the lessons.
Negative experience: My son signed up in March a 2019 and still has four lessons left in the car every time you call and try to make an appointment they said they have a waiting list or they are short staffed now I'm at the point where they're saying my contract ends and I get nothing so I would never never recommend this company to no one they will take your money and not give you what you pay for
Negative experience: My wife has been trying to schedule for our daughter for weeks. They have been dismissive and rude. It's fraudulent to accept our money and have to wait for weeks and months to even start in car training. Funny how the only response from Schwartz in these reviews seems to be the one person who had something nice to say. I am going to reach out to ABC 6 On Your Side to see if they want to investigate. If we can't even get the training, it's theft of our time and money.
Negative experience: I feel badly giving a poor review, but hopefully it will make the business improve. We only used this company for incar time, not classes. My son did online with another company which was excellent. The only thing saving this review from being one star is the lady who is in the office does work very hard and is fairly professional even fielding multiple questions and phone calls. However there is another lady who answers phones and is terribly rude. Be aware it is difficult to schedule incar time and you have to be persistent in calling them, they don’t really call back. The rude lady told me when I finally got through that I would have to call back because they don’t do scheduling on Mondays. When I mentioned that is information was nowhere in the website and also not mentioned in the VM message I kept getting she rudely told me it was posted at the office on a since piece of paper—I hadn’t been to the office in two months and was only there for about 15 minutes so I didn’t read all the posting and take notes!!! Unfortunately I think this company has gotten away with poor service because it is the only one that offered incar in the Westerville area. I am so glad all my kids are done with this circus! Hopefully other more competitive company’s will open up for gutter new drivers.
Negative experience: THANK GOD I KNEW HOW TO DRIVE BEFORE IN CAR the women I had in my first in car was asleep the entire time not very safe and makes the school look like a complete joke.
Negative experience: This place is a joke! For my brother, they scheduled driving times for him, then canceled last minute. Then, a week later they showed up randomly even though they had canceled. The instructors are very rude and make driving much harder for a new driver. STAY AWAY, they overcharge for a very poor service.
Negative experience: The lady in the westerville office is very very rude. I paid $310 for incar training the instructor is very sweet but the worker is very rude. Will never go through them again
Negative experience: Very unprofessional and donot recommend it at all. The driving instructor kept taking calls while I was in the car and was also making me stop the car every second .he wasted my time alot, he even took me to the gas station because he didnot remember to do that before coming to pick me up.
Negative experience: Very unprofessional. Instructors teach without shoes on. The study guides have been copied so many times, they are difficult to read. Do not return calls in a timely manner. For the cost, I expected a little bit more. Ridiculous
Fantastic experience: I learned a lot from Schwartz. The instructors there are very patient and friendly. Janetta was very patient with me when I was practicing with the cones, and I just want to say this is the place to go to if you want to learn. Thanks people at Schwartz, I'm going to miss you guys!
Thanks for the review and the kind words. We hope that you will get your license soon and continue to be safe behind the wheel. BuckleUp!
Fantastic experience: The teacher- Miss Harrington- is very kind and helps our understanding. Edit: my in car instructor- Sheryl- was very sweet and helped me to improve greatly in my driving abilities. I appreciate Schwartz very much.
Thank you for the review! We will pass it on to the instructor.
Negative experience: Which genius decided that it was ok to teach kids that they can go 5 mph over the speed limit? I have a grandson that now thinks that it is ok to drive 30 in neighborhoods and barrel through intersections. If he hurts someone I am sending them to you. How reckless.
Drivers certainly make their own choices after licensed. We teach the speed limit is a clear law to be obeyed. We do not teach anyone should drive 5 over. Please contact us at 614-882-4235 or send us an email with more details regarding any specifics. Thank you.
Negative experience: ZERO STARS if I could!!!! Don't do it!

Fantastic experience: Schwartz in Westerville is where my son took his in-car driving portion. They were EXTREMELY accommodating for scheduling and since he was flexible, they were able to get him in quickly! Very pleased with our experience with them.
Thank you for the review!
Negative experience: during my in cars the lady fell asleep 2 of the 4 times and had smoked before so her snoring smelled like smoke
Fantastic experience: Excellent. Classes were able to be scheduled very quickly (four days sequentially) and were quick and simple. Teachers were sure to instruct and accommodate scheduling needs so long as you conduct yourself politely and are an adequate driver. Wish I'd scheduled with Schwartz first, would've saved almost 6 weeks time.
Negative experience: Worst place in the world to take driving lessons from ,they will take your money and in return they will give us very poor quality of lessons even they took just 2 classes of my 6 lessons they are not refunding money for 4 lessons they are just giving 120 dollars which i have refused to take
Negative experience: This place is very unprofessional they never answer the phone gave me a quote over the phone went up there different price change! I just want my refund at this point I never even got a hold of anyone to take my classes!
Negative experience: first of all stay away from this company, you will save time and money. I signed up my sister to take 5 driving lessons for $300 ($60 a lesson) from this company which I paid up front (biggest mistake). they gave her only two lessons and they decide not to accommodate her because of her poor communication ability. now instead of giving her $180 in refund for three lesson ($60 a lesson) they are asking me to take only $125 refund. which I refused to take. Donna who works in office asked me to email her boss if I have dispute which I did so I emailed Dan Kramer, owner this place on march 27 2015 and today is June 1st 2015 and I am still waiting to hear from him. again stay away and save time and money. Calvin (driving instructor) + donna (lady works at office) + Dan (owner of the place) = very unprofessionally ran business
