Negative experience: 12/16/24 Beware of this Driver’s School — Potential Scam Alert I recently moved to Texas from Missouri and needed to transfer my driver’s license. I contacted the Carrollton DPS, thinking it was a state-run office. It turns out it’s a driver’s school, but they assured me I could handle everything there, including retaking my permit and driver’s tests since my license had lapsed. On Friday, December 13th (correct date), I went in for the permit test, paid $50 for it, and was told the driving test would cost $150. When it was time to pay, I asked if they accepted card payments or had an online system. Instead, they asked for payment via Zelle, Apple Pay, or Cash App — all major red flags. As a small business owner myself, I know how risky Cash App payments can be since they’re irreversible. So, I insisted on using PayPal for the added protection. After leaving, I noticed the PayPal payment was sent to a woman’s name, not the man I dealt with. I contacted him as instructed on Monday morning (December 16th) but received no response. I called multiple times, but every call went straight to voicemail. No calls or messages were returned. This whole experience raised too many red flags. While taking my test, the man was on the phone discussing car insurance costs, and ironically, the amount he needed for his policy matched what I had just paid them ($200 total). Now that he’s unreachable, I’m working with PayPal to get my money back. This is a warning to others. Be cautious when dealing with businesses that request Cash App, Zelle, or other untraceable payments. Legitimate businesses have proper payment systems in place. As a business owner, I would never ask my customers to pay that way. I now see that I should have trusted my instincts. If you’re considering this place, be vigilant. They may seem friendly, but scams often do. Don’t let your need for help put you in a vulnerable position. God bless. 12/17/24 Update to My Initial Review I was scheduled to take my test on 12/16/24, but this individual was completely unreachable—no phone calls answered, no communication at all. Today, 12/17/24 after I already reported him to PayPal and left my first review, he suddenly reached out with an excuse that his “phone wasn’t working all day yesterday.” We all know that’s a lie. His behavior speaks for itself, but it gets worse: he couldn’t even spell my name correctly (he wrote “Dashanna ”). I now have screenshots of all communications and proof that I’ll be sharing with PayPal and posting here so others can see for themselves. Pictures don’t lie, and this is not just “one unhappy customer”—there are at least eight other reviews from people saying the exact same thing: this man is a scammer. If you’re considering using his “services,” I highly recommend you save your money and your time. Do NOT do business with him. I’ll continue to share updates to ensure others are protected. My money needs to be returned that it that all. Tonight 2:16am 12/31/24 just received my refund thank GOD and thank you to Paypal dispute!!!!

Be careful, he offered me an appointment and took money from me and after receiving the money he’s not at lifting the calls for three days and I called him from another number and asked him. He said he’ll be calling me in sometime but never did then I asked my money back then he called me cursed me with very bad words. He’s a fraud he just makes fake promises and takes your money.I’ll post in every social media and groups that this business is complete fraud and I’ll be going to complain to police on him.

I’m glad I made that call to them. They genuinely cared! The help and guidance they provide is amazing! Glad southern hospitality is still a thing! They have a unique cognitive driving program to improve your driving skills. They train on highways and all local roads. Highway sessions are very helpful, they taught me to maintain speed lane and helped me be aware of everything going on the road. See I was buying throught his lies until I witnessed it myself so I’m gonna be spreading this and lettin dps know abt this for the scams he does. Be careful he took $510 from me to get my wife a appointment at the Carrollton DPS, he offered us 3 appointments on the same day and nothing was valid we have reported him to the DPS Carrollton and they do not recommend anyone getting appointments from this institution. THIS IS FRAUD, people wake up don’t let this guy take your money and waste your time. I will be making a complaint at the police department to make sure he does not do this to anyone. He hides behind a phone number and never in his office. Takes money from people and then threatens them if you ask him to return money back. He will not provide any service just rip you off your money. DO NOT USE HIS SERVICES. HE IS A FRAUD!!!!!!

Negative experience: My second class they were 2 hours late with no call or text. Stand me up on my 3rd class, disappeared on my 4th class. I found out they were using a fake website. I called the number on the website provided on the receipt and found out it was not their company’s website. I reported them to bbb scam tracker but couldn't get my money back. A few weeks later they messaged me saying they wanted me to complete the course, which I declined because I feared for my safety due to all this dishonesty and bad experience. I have more proof to provide so if you have the same experience please report to bbb scam tracker.
