Fantastic experience: Albert is an outstanding driving instructor - I was able to pass the driving test confidently on the first try after only a few lessons with him. Previously I had tried other instructors but I did not feel comfortable driving and lacked skills after more than two lessons with them. In contrast, Albert explains everything very clearly and in a way such that it's easy to remember the road rules and you'll feel confident on what to do in different driving situations. His lesson plans are also very thoughtful and will help you cover a wide range of scenarios that you'll encounter in the test and also in everyday driving, so you can build a great foundation for your driving skills. Negative experience: If you’re a beginner, I strongly advise against taking lessons with him. Despite clearly telling him that I was a complete novice and didn’t yet know how to turn, he insisted I attempt a turn without holding onto the steering wheel, which was highly unsafe and as a result led to a minor crash. Throughout the lesson, his demeanor was far from professional, he frequently belittled me, screamed at me, and made me feel utterly incompetent. Considering the high rate of nearly $100 per hour, the experience was both disappointing and disheartening. Might I also add that I gained nothing from this whole ordeal.

Fantastic experience: I recently had passed my written exam, and I was a first-time driver as I chose Albert as my driving instructor. For a first time driver taking his lessons, he explains the rules and concepts of driving very well, and is very patient as well, which helped me get rid of my nerves for driving. By the fourth lesson, he felt that I was ready to take the behind-the-wheel test, and even helped me signed up for the test. Though, I took a couple of extra lessons just to get ready for the test. His testing package includes an hour-and-a-half of driving lesson around the dmv, and the usage of his car. During the test day, I was extremely nervous. Albert had words of encouragement which helped me calm down before the test. Eventually, even though I made a few mistakes on the test, I still passed. Overall, my experience with Albert was great. If I knew someone who needed a driving instructor, I would definitely recommend Albert to them.

In the past, I have taken a few classes from other driving schools in Bay Area and I think Albert is the best instructor I have met so far. He is very professional and genuinely interested in teaching you. I took 4 classes from him and after each class I felt more confident about my driving skills. After my first class he suggested I needed 2-3 classes before giving my driving test (instead of multiple classes which a lot of schools would recommend). On the day of my exam he took my around the common routes and also helped my practice things I was not confident about so I felt more prepared for the test. I was able to pass my driving test in the first attempt after just 4 classes. I would highly recommend Albert especially if you are a nervous driver or don't have a vehicle to practice on.

Fantastic experience: I always said that I would never learn to drive, I had a terrible fear even though my relatives always wanted to teach me, I never achieved it until I encouraged myself and finally called Albert, the best, very patient and with the best desire to teach you how to drive as soon as possible. I only took two classes with him and it was enough. I recommend him, he is the best and this is from 11 years ago. It has served me so much in my life. I truly thank this person for existing. He made sure I knew the fundamentals very well, wrote notes for me after the lesson so that I wouldn’t forget and catered the lessons to whatever I felt I needed to work on. I have a licence in the UK however wanted to learn how to drive in the US so came to him for 2 lessons and will definitely be going back for more if I need practice!

Fantastic experience: All I heard about taking a driving exam in SF is that it's difficult, but Albert gave me a lot of confidence and turned driving in the city into something I enjoy. He had me practicing on routes that prepared me for the exam - which I passed with an almost perfect score and found it way less intimidating than what others describe. He also shared some manual driving tips that were very helpful. It's rare to find someone so patient and genuinely caring about making you a confident driver. He's friendly and puts you at ease, even when you're navigating the most nerve-wracking streets. I had a past with anxiety due to a previous road incident and have put off learning to drive for a very long time. Albert is the main reason why I now love driving. TYSM!!

Fantastic experience: Family and friends only got me so far - I wouldn't have passed my road test without Albert's help. Expect useful advice and stern, but valuable, criticism. For people who have a fear of driving, his teaching vehicle has secondary controls, so he can get you out of unsafe situations. This safety net is especially invaluable for the highway driving section. Though not part of the road test, it was part of Albert's course (at least with me).

Difficult by comparison and for a beginner, but after a couple of lessons with Albert, the test was a breeze. Fantastic experience: Through word of mouth, I (28F) asked Albert for two lessons back in 2023. I was so nervous about driving but Albert was very calm, poised, and patient in his teaching. Fantastic experience: great instructor!! helped me so much and got me to pass first try

Fantastic experience: Albert taught my daughter to drive and I have since referred others. She passed the first time- which is always a plus. But more importantly, he gave her the tools and confidence to be a good/safe driver. As a parent, I appreciated that Albert was easy to communicate with and had some flexibility with scheduling.

Fantastic experience: Albert is a phenomenal driving instructor!!! He has the patience of a saint and nerves of steel. Albert has a no-nonsense method of just putting you on the road and having you buck up and go for it! His confidence in his students makes them excel without them realizing his tactics. My story is extreme. I am a 58 year old San Francisco native. I was terrified of driving for decades. I either walked for miles or took public transportation. But in my old age, I decided that "being afraid to drive" was not a story that served me anymore. Carrying around that fear was dead weight. Albert taught me to drive in 8 lessons over 6 weeks. My 9th and final lesson was on the day of my drivers exam. I passed it with points to spare. For me having the confidence and skill to get in a car and drive away safely is a life changing event! I owe my new found freedom to Albert's excellent instructions and total confidence in my ability...even when I doubted myself. You can't find a better teacher than Albert Lee!

Fantastic experience: Alberto is a good instructor if you need to learn how to drive or you would like to pass your behind-the-wheel test. He is patient, professional, and friendly. He has a good method of teaching and it is easy to understand his instructions and corrections, also if you are not a native speaker. He gave me important tips during our session. I had two hours of lessons the day before the test and warm-up on the test day. After that, I passed the test on my first attempt because Albert helped me. I highly recommend Albert for foreign drivers.
