Fantastic experience: Passed

Positive experience: Make sure you keep your receipt’s of your appointments as sessions can be cancelled with very short to no notice or no shows. This may subsequent to other fees even though it’s not your fault. Communicate with the staff and double check. Be mindful of time intervals between getting your permit and drivers license to avoid additional fees. They provide the tools necessary to get your license but be aware of these additional things.

Negative experience: I sent my niece here for driving lessons but I was disappointed to hear that the instructor for only made her drive home other students (that her lesson) and he would be on his phone and take phone calls during her sessions. After 4 lessons, all she did was drive students home. I would never recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: It is a reliable and highly professional driving school. My driver (Doug) gave me many tips and suggestions which helped me clear my road test in my first attempt. Also, he used cones to setup space to teach Parallel parking and 90 degree reverse parking just like in the actual exam which made it easier for me in the actual exam. All in all, I would recommend this driving school.

Positive experience: Difficult to depend on the staff to be at the office when they say they will be. Also, classes are frequently canceled with very little notice. This school helps students eventually meet their requirements, but they seem to be going through a season of not having the staff/time/dedication needed to keep it running properly.

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience with Main Street. Easy straightforward communication, we will choose this company again when our younger ones reach driving age.

Negative experience: Classroom education went well. Behind the wheel training not so much. First scheduled lesson the instructor Doug was a No Show. Once rescheduled we went to the school but our name wasn’t on the schedule for that day. Once my daughter actually had her first lesson Doug was on his phone the entire time. On Facebook or scheduling other students lessons. Second experience was with Jane and she ridiculed other drivers and told my daughter that “people who speed deserve to die, it’s called natural selection.” Her last lesson with Doug, she took him to the gas station for coffee then Office Max for him to go shopping.

Fantastic experience: All the classes were great, especially with Doug, and I passed my permit test easily. I did my behind the wheels here too without any problems. Other reviews complain about their contracts expiring, but you have a year to complete everything before it expires. Just plan ahead, and it’s not really that big of a deal. Behind the wheel appointments are running out about a month as of right now, but that changes a lot. I had Jane twice, she was kind of blunt but I didn’t have any problems. Doug I had for one and he was very helpful with parking and was super nice. Overall, I really liked the program, it was quick and easy to navigate.

Fantastic experience: We went to the Anoka site. It was nice and close for us and convenient. Everything went well. My daughter really like Dave , I believe he’s the owner, he did her last behind the wheel and was teacher friendly, communicated on her level and was informative about what a good place to go to for her drivers test.

Fantastic experience: Great experience at Main Street Driving School. I would highly recommend if your looking for classes and behind the wheel training. My daughter passed her written exam on the first try after completing her classes. She enjoyed the behind the wheel lessons and Doug provided great advice, and feedback she can use for her behind the wheel test and driving in general.

Negative experience: My kid want to take Driver Ed through this firm due her friend took it here before. I registered her, didn’t get a confirmation, emails the firm numerous times but no response. After reading many of the negative reviews. Will need to go elsewhere.

Negative experience: My daughter was happy with the program. The classroom and with behind the wheel . She enjoyed Doug and Amber. The problem was with Jane. She was really rude with my daughter, a minor. At the end of the session while filling out the white slip she made a very unecessary comment saying "will your 4 last names fit there" and also "if you drive like that you wont pass your test". Very hurtful and not constructive teaching. The following student ,who was the same ethnicity of Jane, was treated better than my daughter. Not qualified to teach. Very dissapointed.

Fantastic experience: I've had 2 kids go through the program here and have had a good experience both times! Easy class times, easy to make appointments for behind the wheel. 1st one passed first time and 2nd is ready for her test coming up!

Fantastic experience: Doug is an amazing teacher.. he lets your drive the mustang his personal car and he helped me pass my permit test and drivers license test.. I highly recommend this driving school

Negative experience: I sent my son here to learn how to drive and instead we were scammed. I paid money for classes and six hour driving lessons, after my son received his permit and finished the classes we went back to Doug (the instructor) to redeem the six hours of driving lessons that we were promised. Instead of giving us the hours we paid for he said that they were "expired" and told us to buy more hours. I then paid another hundred dollars for three days and my son went to one of those days and he then told us again that we needed to purchase more hours. He is untrustworthy and highly unprofessional. I would not recommend this driving school to anyone, save your money!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this driving school! We selected Main Street for the flexibility of their drop-in classroom schedule. Our son enjoyed the classes and Doug. The behind the wheel instructors are excellent. Our son was well prepared for both exams (permit and driver's). He passed them on his first try.

Negative experience: Driver with a goatee in the car 284-kfx (toyota red prius) shouldn't be a instructor!! Cannot drive and does not know his yields! Is that how the students there are taught? No wonder there are so many dumb drivers. Doesn't even deserve my one star on here.

Fantastic experience: My instructor was Amber and I loved her because she was very open to any questions you had. She also was very open to what you need to practice and what you was comfortable with. She also was very helpful with parking and giving you tips on stuff about the test.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with overall experience. Called 20 days before contract deadline for behind the wheel training and was told that they would not be able to schedule the training that was already paid for. I was referred back to the contract that stated it will take 6 weeks or longer to schedule behind the wheel. I asked for an appointment within 20 days or an extension and they simply stated that I signed the contract and there was nothing more they could do. I no longer trust this person/company alone in a vehicle with my 15 year old daughter and will be taking behind the wheel elsewhere.

Positive experience: Nice place. Got through the program with ease and the guy is nice. Though as another person said. He runs errands during your lesson, but whatever...
