Fantastic experience: The $40 service they have. Where they submit the paperwork for you is totally worth it. I got my license in a week... and didn't have to go to DPS ever..

Fantastic experience: This place saved me a trip to the DMV. My daughter did parent taught drivers Ed and already had her permit. She did her driving test here at Community and they filed the paperwork for her to receive her license. So glad they made this process easy.

Fantastic experience: What an amazing experience and professional team here. I strongly suggest spending the extra money to submit the road test online. Son received his temporary license in two days and we didn’t have to go to the DMV. Referring all my friends. Thanks guys

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend this place as the staff was informative and helpful. As an adult I chose to take my driving test here and the gentleman who administered the test was a very personable ndividual. I chose to use the car the school provided, a Honda Civic which is an easy car to handle. The route you take is easy to understand and safe to drive with plenty of road for changing lanes. The staff is helpful and let's you know what you need to do once you pass. Also they are open 7 days a week for you to take the driving test, great for those who work on weekdays and don't have much free time. Overall, I would highly recommend Community Driving School. Best of luck with your test!

Positive experience: I took my road test not too long ago with them and I passed however the only thing I didn’t like was that before I left no one knew how I could schedule an appointment with DPS to update my license. Til I commented asking anyone on their fb page.

Fantastic experience: I took a road test here last month and Mr. Ahmed was great. Even though I was just taking a road test, he explained everything very nicely before starting test. Also, he cleared all my doubts. He was very patient and helpful. I highly recommend community driving school and Mr. Ahmed.

Fantastic experience: This place is magnificent. I went here after transferring from another local driving school, and they took me immediately and got all my lessons scheduled ASAP. All the instructors are friendly and respectful. Very friendly environment! I even took my test with them today at 10:20 AM today, and it went really well! They prepared me properly for the test effectively, and I passed! Very great school. I HIGHLY recommend this place over any other driving school. Great driving school!

Positive experience: Overall lengthy experience, especially once school started, but the experience wasn’t bad for the most part. One instructor named Steve, was totally unprofessional, and also performed a “fakeout” direction on an early driving lesson, which I felt was very reckless, especially due to the amount of traffic at the time of the lesson. However, as a stark contrast this negative experience, Ahmed, Jayla and Mrs. Parrish made me feel at total ease behind the wheel (which was great as I suffer from anxiety). The road test I performed was with Mrs. Parrish and she was astounding with her directions and guidance, and I passed on my first attempt despite my nervousness. Overall this driving school receives a 3 star rating, which leaves room for improvement in the future, and I hope to see the day this place becomes the “go-to” driving school in DFW.

Community Driving School

Thank you Curtis for your review. We enjoyed having you here as a student and I am shocked to hear that you felt you had some unsafe and 'reckless' experiences in our driving lessons. We will take the necessary steps to remedy that. We too hope this place will become the go-to driving school, thank you for your honesty and safe driving!

Negative experience: We are currently having issues getting my daughter's driving portion completed. Whoever is answering the phones is not willing to work with me. My daughter's test is in January and needs to have this completed this place is starting to smell more like a scam. I paid in full from the beginning. Classes are being posted at 12 or 1 AM when normal people who work are asleep. It's frustrating because the Facility sent out an email saying if you need help getting scheduled please call and when you call you get absolutely 0 help and get referred to the website. I cannot take my daughter out of school to come out here and drive anywhere from 1 PM to 3 PM.

Community Driving School

We are sorry that this is your experience with us, but we are not a scam. Today alone we had 15 students in for driving lessons. As for our drive times, they are posted every Monday between 10am and noon. The start of the school year is the busiest time for a driving school and we, like you, are feeling the effects. The 1pm and 3pm slots are usually the last ones left as the majority of our students are in high school. We utilize these slots for our homeschooled students and students who have recently graduated. I will speak with our receptionists about your experiences with the information you got upon calling us, but we have been calling you every Monday to schedule lessons as you are on our call list. Please reply back to the original email you received about getting help for scheduling lessons so that we can confirm your contact information. We hope your experience with us improves as you now have all 7 driving lessons scheduled.

Fantastic experience: I took my instructor driving times here. I found all the different drivers to have unique perspectives and found it to be overall quite helpful. However, the star of my experience was my test today. Mr. Ahmed was very welcoming and reassured me I shouldn't worry. He overall made me feel very comfortable during my test and provided useful information and was overall very nice and courteous. Though the cost is more expensive than DPS test, the flexibility and quality of the testing staff( Mr Ahmed) made my experience well worth it.

Community Driving School

Thank you for your review! Mr. Ahmed is honored about your kind words. We are glad to have given you a good experience. Safe driving out there!

Negative experience: There is this older caucasian lady there that was my driving instructor. i appreciate the tips that she gave me during my lesson but she was extremely rude about it. The tone she used with me was very uncalled for and i felt uncomfortable with her presence. i had to take the test twice which is ok but she had to make it very known that i had failed the test the first time to the people that were in the school. not saying this is the reason but i am asian. there was also this caucasian boy that was before me and she was very happy to be his instructor but when she got to me she didn’t seem happy and was bitter. im just saying i think race has something to do with how this lady treats her students.

Community Driving School

We are truly sorry that this was your experience with our Driving School. We never want our students to feel anything like what you have described when interacting with our staff. Driver's ed is an industry with a very diverse cliental and we in no shape or form support treating our students differently due to their race or ethnicity. We will discuss this matter with the test examiner you had yesterday and take further steps.

Negative experience: I paid $499 for my Child to come to this Driving School I was NOT told you have to pay so many Additional Fees $10 Registration Fee Plus $16 Fee for Dps to Obtain A Learners Permit then After you complete the course you have the option to take your Road Test with The School As they are A 3rd Party Tester NO where on their website Nor did ANY of the School Receptionist or Staff State that's it is still Additional Fees so I chose to Allow my Child to test with the School Since I felt my Child would be more comfortable with someone who they have driven with so I paid $125 more(to allow my child to test in their car) then As my child is testing I find out I have to also pay a Additional Fee of $16 MORE to get his license @ the DPS Office when I could of just paid $30 or less for the DPS drivers License Test and would have been done with it IN MY OPINION A COMPLETE RIP OFF.

Community Driving School

Unfortunately, every fee you listed in your review of our business was listed on the contract you signed to start the course as well as listed on the paperwork sent home with your student on the first day of class. The $10 registration fee is listed on the enrollment contract that is filled out before the course starts and does not go to our business but our scheduling website schedule2drive.com. Our DPS Road Test is more expensive than the test offered at the DPS and this is due to our wide availability in scheduling, public test route, and offered rental cars. As for the $16 DPS fees we unfortunately cannot issue Learner's Licenses/Driver's Licenses, only the DPS can issue these and this fee was listed on the permit paperwork given to your student on the third day of class. We are sorry that this was your experience with us but we do try to be as transparent as possible with our pricing and why our services are priced the way that they are. We are here to provide comprehensive driver's education with convenience for parents and to avoid hassles at the DPS as much as possible.

Positive experience: The school is nice & Ms. Perish is professional, my first lesson with her didn’t go well in my opinion . I never did a parralell parking before, she walked me through it the first time. But the next two times I was on my own I feel like I did ok. Maybe she was just caught off guard by my driving but as we progressed further into the lesson she didn’t make me feel confident. “ I’m not going to tell you again if You drive on the wrong side” she didn’t say it in a nice tone,. She apologized if she seemed rude & I was clearly upset when the lesson was over. Your supposed to make your students feel confident not upset!

Negative experience: When I attending driving school, the road experience included the instructor taking us on the highway for 1 mile to practice getting on and off the highway. Never once did this school provide practice on this important part of driving for my daughter. When I inquired about why this was not included in the driving classes, I was told that it depends on what time of the day the student signed up for driving times. According to them if it was during high traffic times they would not go to the highway since sitting in traffic would take up most of the driving times. I made sure that I signed my daughter up for day and night times as well as weekday and weekend sessions and the instructors never took them. I made sure that we practiced this on our own. Also, when when my daughter took the final driving test, the instructor was not friendly and quite frankly flat out rude. I would not recommend this driving school due to our overall experience.

Community Driving School

We are sorry that this was your experience. Highway driving lessons are tricky given our location. We can take the kiddos onto 377, but not I-35 due to traffic.

Fantastic experience: This one is the easiest one and great place to pass . Examiner Castillo( my apologies if I spelled wrong)was very kind , inviting ,verbal, clear .I passed the test in first try even I did 2-3 mistakes. My advices are make sure you come to a complete stop, don't slowdown too much when you are merging at the intersection, observe the road continuously, commune with other drivers with the Signal lights . I highly recommend this. I bet you don't get better place than this when you look for non highway testing place. Thanks community driving school.

Negative experience: I called here because I had some questions regarding defensive driving and the older lady who answered the phone was just rude. I didn’t get her name, but I will be calling back to speak with a manager because this turns you off when the employee is having smart remarks and being unprofessional all because they don’t wanna help. No one forced her to work at this job.

Fantastic experience: Great place to take a driving test without the headache of scheduling or long waits. We were in and out quickly! And he passed.

Caroline Becquer 6 years ago

Negative experience: Horrible place to take your drivers test. They failed me twice for small mistakes and the second time this old man didn’t even let me finish the test because I was going “too fast”. I barely went 1 over the speed limit. The secretary’s were monotone with a boring personality. Place not welcoming at all. I went to a+academy driving and took the test there in Arlington and passed easily the first time! (And only costed $55. The people there are so sweet and welcoming. Don’t come here! waste of $75.

Community Driving School

We are very sorry that this was your experience, any traffic violations (such as speeding or running stop signs) automatically fail the test. We are glad you got that test passed and are out on the road!

Andrea Peña 6 years ago

Fantastic experience: Very easy to schedule an appt and even took the test 15 minutes before my scheduled time! My intructor, Mr. Hassan was very nice and even let me ask questions before we began the drive!

khoi nguyen 6 years ago

Positive experience: Scheduling an appointment was easy, however if you make one mistake, you fail. All I did was lightly tap the curb when parallel parking. Other than that, it was spot on parking. The instructor barely speaks to you and doesn’t make you feel at ease. Maybe they’re more strict because they want you to pay an additional $25 to use their cars because I saw every kid go in and pass. I’ve been driving for 13 years now let’s just cut to the chase and not waste each others time. My road test prior was nothing like this. To sum it all up, if you make one mistake, you fail. Not worth the $75 you pay. UPDATE: I came again for my second road test and Mr. Terry was attentive and vocal about every thing I needed to know before starting. Unlike the Indian instructor I previously had, Mr. Terry put me at ease and was excellent through out the whole process. I will be changing my rating only because of Mr.Terry. That Indian instructor should be fired because he doesn’t seem to care and wasn’t as helpful about anything.

Bella Colvard 6 years ago

Negative experience: The scheduling process was easy.... however I wasn’t able to go to my DPS road test the day I scheduled because I couldn’t get one of the forms I needed on time so I called to reschedule. The guy that answered said he was unable to do it and I needed to call at 9AM the next morning. So I did, and I got no answer. I called multiple times 3 days in a row and tried to email to do so, and it said the email was invalid. Now I want to cancel completely and want a refund due to this. Completely unacceptable.

Maria De Lara 6 years ago

Negative experience: Poor service. I walked in and instead of being helped, the girl at the front desk was on her phone. My instructor didn’t allow me to take the WHOLE road test. He failed me after my first mistake. I pay $75 for the whole test, not a portion of it. They charge $64 more than the DPS the least they can do is allow us to finish the road test, so we can better our driving all together not in portions. Very disappointed.

Community Driving School

We are sorry that this was your experience, but any traffic violations (no matter how small) automatically fail the test. These rules are set by the DPS, not us. Our cost is more than the DPS because we do not take months to book and have our route posted online.

Dominique Fisher Durnell 6 years ago

Negative experience: Recommended my sister to this place after my brother went here to to take lessons and do his driving test. While my brother had a good experience, they treated my sister horribly! Her instructor was extremely rude and belittled her during the whole lesson! Talking to her as if she was a child and even going as far to say “You should know how to drive before coming here.” ARE YOU SERIOUS? The whole point of a driving lesson is to LEARN HOW TO DRIVE! She paid her hard earned money for a lesson and the treatment she received in return is absolutely unacceptable!!!! If you don’t have patience with young, inexperienced drivers, then you’re in the wrong line of work!!!!! Will never recommend this place to anyone!

Mathew Hardin 6 years ago

Fantastic experience: My wife immigrated from another country and English is not her first language. Hassan was very patient with her and got her to where she needs to be in order to get her license. Everytime the staff was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend using Community Driving School.

J Watson 6 years ago

Negative experience: Could not get anyone to answer the phone first. Called back and was told I had to go online to make an appointment. I get home and look at their site and the site says I can make an appointment over the phone or through their website. Once I got home they are now booked. Business must be too good.

Jeff Clanton 7 years ago

Negative experience: I’m becoming very frustrated with this place. Very difficult to schedule a drive that is not cancelled for one reason or another. More importantly, the vast majority of drive times available ONLY during school hours. School lets out at 3:45 but on every weekday but the only available drive times are 3-5 during the week. That is absurd. We understood when two of our scheduled drivetimes were cancelled due to a wrecked vehicle. We understood when one of our scheduled drivetimes was cancelled due to rain. But, if we cannot schedule a drive except for weekends AND scheduled drives MUST be scheduled 2 days apart then this place is leaving us with very bad odds of actually getting to drive. As of today, we are seeing a 25% success rate of actually getting to drive on the day we reserve. Something HAS TO CHANGE. It’s not right to offer a service only during times that the customer cannot receive it. This place needs to remove the required 2-day break between scheduled drives and make drivetimes available after school hours. It’s ridiculous and it’s not fair.

Fantastic experience: Could not be happier with their services. Made it easy to sign-up, schedule classes, and driving instructors are great! Would recommend to anyone. Plus staff was incredibly helpful with scheduling issues and all my questions.

Courtney Michelle 7 years ago

Negative experience: I would never reccomend this place. I went here for my driving lessons and I can tell you now that the instructors there didn’t care at all about whether or not anyone did well. Ms. Parrish basically let the kids run the class and goof off about using drugs and alcohol while driving, which is far from being mature or a laughing matter in the slightest, and then we have Mr. Wells who actually took me out on main, busy roads after I told him I wasn’t comfortable and didn’t think I could handle it. He told me that I drove like I was having an epileptic seizure and used profane language at me, and after I informed the manager of the way that he cursed at me, he began watching me in my classes and glaring at me like I was trash. No one should feel uncomfortable while learning to drive, but that’s how these instructors made me feel. This place doesn’t even deserve one star.

Fantastic experience: Great experience taking the road test this morning. Easy, quick, very convenient. Nice people, well organized. Terry, the instructor, was nice and friendly, which helped my very shy son taking the test, even if he was super nervous! LOL We highly recommend this place to everyone! Will go back when it's time for my younger son to get his driving license. Thank you!

Rebecca Krout 7 years ago

Fantastic experience: This school is absolutely amazing to work with as from the first drive with the instructor, you know the driving route so you can practice it. The classes are entertaining and very educational, proving future drivers a great base line of knowledge. Will recommend to everyone wanting to drive.

Mena Elgamal 7 years ago

Negative experience: Terrible, horrible, I went to do dps road test . The guy he did the test his name Terry . He met me with frown and rude face he didn’t even speak with me . He look like that he is racist . He stop my test after two turns he didn’t finish until the end . That means he doesn’t follow the rules of the dps . Advice : don’t try to take your test over that office if you are not student taking courses over there

Yanqi Liang 8 years ago

Fantastic experience: Great place. Terry is very friendly and professional. The real test route is a bit different from the routes posted at the website. However, it is around that area. I wonder why this place has such few comments. There are a lot of available times to schedule a test, much more than DPS's and the price is very reasonable.

Rashmi Kulkarni 8 years ago

Negative experience: The person who took the test did not take the full test. He made me do the parallel parking. My car did not hit any of the poles. He said the distance from the pathway was more than it should have been and failed me in the test. This is very frustrating. Atleast he should have let me attempt the entire test. What if there are any other areas that I need to practice on too. My 1st attempt was a waste.

Positive experience: Had a nice experience

Michelle Dawson 9 years ago

Fantastic experience: We had an extraordinary experience with my daughter's road test. We did an online parent-taught drivers course, then scheduled a road test with Community Driving School when I learned the Texas Driver License office website for scheduling tests was almost impossible to work with. (Not to mention they could only schedule three months away!) We experienced a problem with not being fully prepared for the test, but the good people at Community Driving School were extremely patient and accommodating giving us the needed time to get it all together, and reschedule very quickly so we wouldn't have a long wait. They went above and beyond in service! The only drawback was that the road test was pricey, but considering all they did for my daughter and I, in the end it was worth it. After the test, we took the paperwork in a sealed envelope to the Driver License office, where she had her photo taken, and they issued her Driver License...it was easy!
