Fantastic experience: I'm get right to it jannette the girl that answers the phone well gosh I just loved her customer service. She's a doll and funny the videos she post on ig put a smile on my face. Well I told her my needs being a disabled person trying to get my driver's license at 36, so I paid we scheduled a day for the driving test November 7th she set me up with a patient driver that was pretty cool and he def made me feel like I could pass. Chris I think his name was, gosh I hope I'm not wrong. Well I passed and it meant the world to me for many reasons cuz I was very nervous. Anywho I'm recommending my nieces and nephews and eventually my children too. My sons will be attending their driving school/classes. I recommend them as much as I can cuz the customers service man they make you feel like you can pass on the first try... And I did, they're very encouraging. Anywho I can write a whole essay but ill stop here and just say thank you.

After just two sessions with him, I felt way more confident behind the wheel. He totally got that I'm a quiet person and really helped me shake off my nerves. Today, I nailed my driving test! Negative experience: If it there is Zero I would give them Zero! Don’t Waste your money or your time with this place! I wanted to write everything & I really don’t even know where to start! First of all THEY NEVER EVER GIVE YOU FEEDBACKS! Called multiple times asked the instructor to gave me a feedbacks. They never did! Her answer was, “ I couldn’t find them, I asked her even if they can do in writing. They never ever did. They told my daughter, “ You are ready to take a driving test! “ Which she was not ready ! this just one example, There’s a lot of scary things ! Stay away from this place ! I did a big mistake cause of all these FAKE REVIEWS ! I really regretted! Learn from me.

My daughter has been taking lessons with them, and she received excellent feedback on her progress and how well she can follow the rules of driving. After each session, they provided detailed comments on her performance and suggestions for improvement. I was truly impressed by the quality of their lessons. Returned to LA in Jan, took only 4 lessons with 1st Choice, and passed my behind-the-wheel test on the first try. 100% recommend for all adult learners. Try to get Cris as your instructor (dude is just a natural driver/teacher). Gilbert is also good.

Fantastic experience: Excellent. It is in a good central location for Los Angeles residents. They actually answer the phone when you call the number and they answer your questions. They are open 7 days a week. Jeanette and Angeles were both professional and pleasant :)

Negative experience: They are horrible I had rented their car for my dmv driving test and they are supposed to review and help you before the test! The young lady was sweet but did not help me at all I had to keep asking her questions on my own they don't seem to care honestly if you pass or not. They just want your money!

Being a complete novice in the world of driving, I was pretty anxious at the start. However, my instructor helped me tackle my driving fears and patiently guided me through the basics, explained all the rules of the road, and made sure I didn't make the same mistakes again. Donovan was friendly, patient and was tough at times but only to make sure you pass your driving test. He goes the extra mile to motivate students and help them succeed. Fantastic experience: If you have drivers anxiety, I recommend 1st Choice! After 9 years of fearing driving, I was able to get my license with their help. I had 6 hours of driving and also rented a car for the test. It was all worth it! They are very kind and understanding and overall the best driving school I've been too. I highly recommend it.

Negative experience: My experience with 1st choice was okay But as a driving school they have much to improve I will explain I took 3 lessons Which was on very expensive side. All 3 lessons there were different drivers which is great so you are able to learn to adapt 2 different teachings of driving styles and people. However communication between these drivers are instructors Is Non existent. One of my instructors complained about this Which I firmly agree with if I'm going to build on my skills as a new driver without paying for more unnecessary lessons it is best to communicate With each other and take notes based off the DMV requirements and regulations. Only my last instructor did this. My 1st 2 lessons were OK . But other than myself making mental notes I wasn't given much advice on what to improve on. And was told when I asked For their opinion if they thought I was ready to take my DMV test Told me that that was not something that they were allowed to tell .For the money I expected more. My last instructor was late & appeared very nervous or scared for whatever reason and continuously stepped on the brakes without allowing me to make proper stops . There was a communication barrier they spoke English but very little Which kind of made it seem like we were clashing heads trying to understand each other. Nevertheless 3 lessons was all I needed To pass my DMV test with flying colors. Can't recommend this driving school unless it's your only option . Only benefit is the car's they rent that provide a dual breaking system & insurance.

He also makes me feel comfortable with his friendliness. I can tell that he not only wonderfully trains me to drive in this hectic LA traffic, but also has great insights about the driving test. I am not surprised if people agree that he is the best instructor at this driving school.

Positive experience: This school has great prices and great instructors (Marta,Rosa & Gilbert) I had a total of 7 lessons the majority of my lessons was with Marta when I tell you Marta is THE BEST!!! She is she encouraged me she made sure we went over my mistakes on the road until I got it correct I was scared of switching lanes and she gave me the confidence to switch safely she knows the rules of the road she goes by the book you will get your moneys worth going to this school and ask for Marta because of her I got my License today on my 1st try with only 2 minor mistakes that's how bomb Marta is!!!!! However I only gave 4 stars due to the organizing has to get better they gave 2 instructors my address wrong and the scheduling of the instructors because Marta did not go with me to my driving test I was a little disappointed that she didn't cause I wanted her to be with me when I passed but I was able to call her and let her know and she was as happy for me as I was

Negative experience: Cuando llame pedí por favor específicamente un instructor que hablara español y la persona que llego no hablaba nada de español perdí ahí tiempo pues no nos entendíamos me lo cambiaron y luego el siguiente instructor estaba más enfocado en sus otros clientes que estaban tramitando su licencia con su hijo y se nos fueron dos horas de clase yendo y regresando de su casa, pague 10 horas y siento que solo perdí mi dinero.

Fantastic experience: A huge thank you to this driving school especially Donovan, my driving instructor. I was completely new to driving a car and he helped me ease into driving. I took 4 lessons before I went to my first driving test attempt, I didn't pass. I took another 3 lessons with Donovan and it really helped me that he was the instructor who took me to my second driving test. He put me at ease and made sure I didn't stress out right before my test. Donovan was very easy-going, funny and at the same time makes sure you are following all the right rules and also makes sure you are definitely ready for the test. Would 100% recommend to take lessons with Donovan.

Fantastic experience: First Choice Driving school helped me pass my behind the wheel driving test. I took 3 clases with them, 2hrs each and that was more than enough for me to pass the test. They (Monica, Rosa and Lilian) made sure I learned about safe driving and the rules that the DMV pays more attention when giving a behind the wheel test. My first class was December 20th and the last one was December 26th. I took and passed my test at the downtown LA DMV( which most people say is the hardest one to pass the test on) on December 27th. Thanks God and the instructors I got, I was able to pass the test even though I had never driven a car before. Lilian took me the day before my test to drive around the DMV area, thanks to that, I was familiar with the area which made me feel more confident when taking the test. I would highly recommend anyone to take driving classes before taking a behind the wheel test because passing the test is not just about driving the car around but driving safely and fallowing the rules and may of the drivers don’t know that but First Choice Driving School can teach you all that. So, thank you First Choice Driving School for helping me pass my behind the wheel test.

Fantastic experience: After being disqualified twice on my driving test, I was really disheartened until I got Lillian and Gilbert as my driving instructors. They were very explicit on how the road works, the signs, and the law of the road. Their precision helped me to start thinking for myself and make decisions on my own which is crucial for the driving test. Out of the 4 instructors I've gotten from this school, Lillian and Gilbert were the best and are true rock stars who have decades of experience. I suggest any first time drivers or other drivers who are unsure/anxious to request these two. I felt comfortable, safe, and they are both great conversationalists to take your mind off of how stressful learning to drive can be. Fantastic experience: I’ve never been eager to drive honestly. It was cool to be driven around by others. But it was time for me to FINALLY get my license. Donovan was my instructor and with all of the knowledge, confidence, and techniques he instilled, I passed on the first try! Donovan also could have a career as a comedian if he wanted to lol. His jokes and down to earth personality is relaxing. I would definitely recommend Donovan as an instructor. On my day of the test, instructor, Lillian took me to the DMV and she was so comforting. I was a ball of nerves and her nurturing and supportive personality alleviated my anxiety. She was absolutely amazing! I would definitely recommend Donovan and Lillian!! I did the 6 hour package (3 -two hour classes and also purchased the DMV testing package.) One of my lessons was with Tesafaye. He was very nice. I definitely recommend taking classes here. They are affordable!

Fantastic experience: I wanted to get my license in a month and so my sister recommended Donovan at this driving school. And I am so glad I had him as my driving instructor. I passed my driving test the first time. One thing that makes him stand out is that he instills so much confidence in the student and that confidence is what every new driver needs. He taught me everything I needed to know to be a good driver. He was very patient and would answer all my questions/concerns. The teachers are knowledgeable about everything you need to know to do well on the test, and they'll give a ton of valuable feedback as you practice. I passed my driving test yesterday at Santa Monica with only 4 out of 15 minor mistakes (huge accomplishment for me -- I was NOT a natural when I started practicing)!

Fantastic experience: Choosing to go with 1st Choice was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I met with Donovan three times and I learned so much from him. First thing he did was make sure I had a behind the wheel test appointment all set up and I was so positive that I wouldn’t show up because I felt it was too soon for me to fully grasp and understand driving. I started off as a terrified first time driver and now almost a month later, I surely ended up showing up to my appointment and passed my exam yesterday first try and am now licensed! Donovan was very patient and made you feel comfortable even when you were terrified and not so confident with driving. By the time our third lesson came my confidence increased tremendously. My instructor was Gilbert and he was very professional and patient, adapted his teaching style to my level of experience, progressively eased me into more complex driving situations and always made me feel safe while driving. I would definitely recommend him as an instructor! Plus the classes are affordable!

Negative experience: I took lesson at 1st choice driving school for 3 months with Donavan and passed my test. Since I am an international student and not familiar with driving, I spent over 10 lessons here prepare for my test. The lesson is amazing but the management system here is very unprofessional. There are 4 Hispanic secretaries in here and they go by rotation. They do not communicate well with each other and don’t keep track of a payment record. As a result, they double charged me the the DMV car rental I already paid from last month. Brenda, one of the secretaries, spoke to me in a very rude and condescending manner, asking for money I already paid to another secretary from last month. It is their internal fault for not keeping the record month by month and communicate with each other. They are clueless of the payment that has been made beyond their rotation. To pass a driving test is stressful enough but to deal with unprofessional secretary constantly makes it more difficult to focus. It substantially affects my performance. Please improve your management system and improve your communication skill to clients. Everyone deserves to be treated with utmost respect.

Fantastic experience: The five stars are not for school, but the one particular driver name Donovan. I've used other instructor and he stand out especially showing the love and care he has for his job. His sessions doesnt seem rushed and he certainly takes his time to make sure you understand the road. It is not just about passing the driving test, but the ability to make sure you drive defensively. If you ever check out the school just ask for Donovan.... make sure you book more than a week it will worth it.
