Negative experience: Terrible driving class experience for my younger sibling, all very surface level instruction. Didn’t gain any confidence in driving, didn’t pick up any tips for driving, wasn’t told the importance of turn signals, using mirrors, really not happy with the service provided. Phone call with representative was pleasant but nothing was done to help. Overall let down. Place isn’t what it once was.

Fantastic experience: Easy experience with Ford Driving School: walked in and decided on a package. I picked the 12 Hour one with home pick up. People in the office were helpful and so was my instructor. Nathaniel was patient and made it easy to gain confidence in my driving. We went to take the test and passed first try! Thanks Ford Driving School and my instructor Nathaniel.

Fantastic experience: Their school is fantastic. I passed the test on my first try, and my teacher Nathaniel was particularly amazing. He helped me so much during my hours with him, and he made me a substantially better and safer driver.

My instructor Nathaniel was outstanding, I went from a very nervous new adult driver to a licensed driver in just a few weeks. He taught me all the skills I needed to pass and was a very kind, supportive (and funny!) teacher to an extremely anxious student. I highly recommend him.

Fantastic experience: Amazing driving school! Passed test in Arleta with no experience on the road prior to lessons. I recommend having Nathaniel as your instructor. He may be humorous, but he is chill and his main focus to help you learn to drive. Amazing experience, amazing instructor, amazing school!

Fantastic experience: Best driving school in the L.A. county. Came here YEARS ago! Instructor was very chill and looked like Striker from Xmen. If he was still there, I'd send my kids to him. I'm actually wondering if he is still there so I can send everyone I know to him.

Fantastic experience: The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, streamlining the process of scheduling the DMV Test. The instructor I was assigned (Steve Vallera) went beyond the requirements of the driving test, teaching skills that will not be evaluated but are necessary driving on the open road. He never displayed any kind of disrespect and is openly supportive of the learning aspect of driving. The quality of this school is impeccable and well worth the price. Best recommendation is to also practice outside of learning hours to hone in skills and pass the exam.

Fantastic experience: I had two instructors! Belica helped me learn the rules of the road. Nathaniel fine-tuned my approach and gave me the confidence I needed to pass my behind-the-wheel test. I highly recommend Perla to be your driving Instructor. Perla uses many teaching methods for those that won't get it the first time. I got the 6 hours package and for every hour he was very kind in giving me little tips to add upon what I already knew. After my lessons I felt very confident and passed my exam the first try! Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend Ford Driving School and my instructor Perla! I had no driving experience before and did not even have my family or friends around to help me practice. I am thankful to have Perla as my teacher. She is so kind, professional, patient, and supportive. Every class with her is full of fun and I can see myself driving better. Sadly, after 18h of classes, I didn't pass on my first try because I made a wide right turn at the beginning. I was wayyyyy too nervous and I felt deflated and unsure of myself after that (Like, who fails within 5 mins!!). But I decided to try again. I had a 2h class with Perla a few days later, and she helped me feel more confident and less anxious and overcome any problems I had. The following day I took the test for the 2nd time and I passed with 4 points off. I know it's probably not the most perfect score but it's great for me. It would probably be more difficult for me to pass the test without Perla. Thank you all for helping all the time!!

Fantastic experience: I want to recommend Ford Driving School to everyone! I just passed my behind the wheel test this Thursday after taking just 4 classes with Perla. This is my first time driving and I had no family or friends to practice with, I also took almost 10 lessons with another school at first (Oxford) and even though a learned a bit, I felt like their teachers only added up to my anxiety, I felt awful behind the wheel and like I'm doing everything wrong and bad. I found Perla through reviews and just want to say SHE'S THE BEST teacher I've ever had, she's calm, friendly, chill and very very professional and encouraging, I seriously admire her driving and composure! She helped me to fix all my mistakes and bad habits I acquired from previous teachers and gave me confidence that I can be a good driver. I passed my test with ease and wasn't even that stressed overall. I recommend that everyone take their lessons from Perla, she's seriously the best, I'm very grateful for her hard work and honestly gonna miss our lessons! Thanks Perla!

Fantastic experience: My experience with this driving school has been great!! I just completed the first 6 hrs and can confidently say that I owe my driving instructor, Perla, a huge thanks. She always had a great attitude and her corrections while driving were calm, collected, and most importantly helpful. You can tell she really cares about all her students and loves her job. She really helped me build my confidence behind the wheel. I highly recommend her if you choose to get lessons here.

Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend Ford Driving School, specifically my instructor Perla. She was wonderful! So kind, patient and a great teacher. I haven't driven in years - I'm from London and moved to LA a few years ago - so I wanted to gain confidence driving around a busy city like LA and understand road rules better. I took Ford's 18 hour package which includes the DMV test and was so lucky to have Perla teach me. Anyone would be lucky to have her! I passed first time and have taken away a lot of knowledge thanks to Perla. Definitely learn with Ford whether you're new to driving or needing a refresher.

Negative experience: I never leave reviews like this, but my experience with this driving school was so awful, I just had to. I read good reviews about this place and got fooled to spend money on learning how to drive. I registered for a class that was a hassle to get. When I went for my driving session, which was scheduled from 8 -10 am, nobody was there at the place, and I had to call and wait for 20 minutes for my tutor to arrive. When he did, there was no apology or anything, and on top of that, he was telling me his stories instead of teaching me how to drive. We met with an ACCIDENT, and thank god nobody was injured. I DIDN'T learn any rules or regulations which I was hoping for. After my session was over, I called them to inform them about it. There was no proper response. After the day, I started getting calls from their place harassing me about giving details about my native driving license and insurance details. They were very rude. I didn't expect this from a professional driving school. Please don't fall for it because of a few good reviews.

Fantastic experience: If you're looking for a driving school to take classes in, I strongly recommend Ford. They are professional, and everyone I have encountered has been friendly and helpful. And if your schedule permits and Perla's availability allows it, I highly recommend taking classes with her. Perla is kind, encouraging, patient, and comfortable to be around, and it is visible that she genuinely enjoys and is excellent at her job. She'd correct me when I made mistakes during classes without making me feel bad. She was verbally correcting me and visually showing me the correct ways through miniature cars, drawings, notes, and her driving, which were extremely helpful. Thank you for all the help!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this driving school. After taking 6h of driving with a different school I left extremely scared of driving. I then booked 18h at Ford Driving School and passed the exam on the first try! Steve is an incredible instructor, knowledgeable, patient, and very supportive. In only 3 weeks he got me ready for the exam and I couldn’t wish for a better instructor!! Then Jose took me to the DMV test and did an amazing job at preparing me for the exam, he made my stress go away and really gave me the confidence to succeed! Every employee I met at the school was so agreeable, understanding and flexible. Best driving school ever!

Fantastic experience: I’m 24 and never learned how to drive. So I finally got down to it and I decided to the same driving school as my younger siblings. I was even lucky enough to have the same teacher as them Steve. I got to ride around with Steve and he was awesome. He really conceptualized the reasons for defensive driving. He’s one of the best teachers I’ve had! And I’m a kindergarten teacher myself! He was never rude when he had to help me make a correction. He made me feel really safe and we had really great conversations while driving around. I got the confidence to start, because the first couple of times you drive can feel daunting. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I think doing this driving class helped ease tension between me and my parents. When I did go to drive with my mom for the first time I had already practiced 4 hours with Steve. Which I think made all the difference.

She was professional, patient and friendly with me as she instructed me (and waited with me for over 1.5 hours at the DMV for my behind the wheel exam!). Despite driving overseas for years, I needed that extra assurance to pass the test and her straightforward feedback and pointers gave me that confidence. Thank you, Belica!

Fantastic experience: I've been meaning to post this review since passing my test in April! 500 stars for Steve at Ford Driving School who helped me pass with 0 errors! I had developed a lot of anxiety around driving and was convinced I'd never be able to do it - and the ripe old age of 28 it was becoming both frustrating and embarrassing. I'd driven a couple of times in 2016 on quiet country roads in NY, but never in the crazy car circus that is LA. Had a few lessons with another instructor that didn't seem to go well and left me feeling like I was never, ever going to feel safe and in control behind the wheel. Then... Steve sat in the car with me and after 5 minutes told me "I don't know what you're worried about, you're a good driver already." Over the next 7 sessions he patiently answered every question I had, walked me through all the manoeuvres I needed to know (they're actually not that complicated...), gave me a bunch of helpful tips and tricks that I'm still using today, and as another Yelp reviewer has said, always explained what I'd done wrong but NEVER let me feel paralysed by a mistake. My confidence went through the roof and we had amazing car conversations about everything under the sun in the meantime. Went straight to the DMV, passed with flying colors, and have been enjoying my freedom ever since. It's completely changed my relationship to LA after 5 years of living here. I can officially say I'm a fully fledged adult now..! Thanks a billion Steve!

Fantastic experience: I'm nearly 40 and had started to feel like I was too old to learn to drive... or that I'd never get over the new fears and anxieties I had around it all. BUT then I signed up for lessons with Steve at Ford Driving School! I booked the biggest package they offer (18 hrs of driving with your instructor + your exam at the DMV) and I couldn't be happier to now have my license! Steve is an amazing teacher... so chill and easy... made the whole process fun and kept me super calm. If you wanna learn to drive - ask for Steve!!! He's the BEST.

Fantastic experience: A bit late considering I past my test almost 3 months ago, but better late than never. I had Perla teach me pretty much the end all be all for when it comes to driving. I paid for 3 3 lesson packages and in that time became so good of a driver that I managed to get a perfect score on my actual exam. Perla was great at keeping me calm in stressful situations, explained it how it was when I was wrong, and allowed me to make small mistakes to learn from them. Highly recommend this school, cost me about a grand to learn how to drive for life, which is a great deal IMO.

Fantastic experience: Ford Driving worked with me and my crazy schedule (I freelance) and they were patient with me moving my appointment multiple times when work would come up. The people at the office are super friendly. Steve, my instructor, was super experienced and an absolute delight, he's a fantastic teacher and has a really cool and calming presence. I've been anxious about getting my license for years but Steve led me to the finish line! Beyond grateful, so happy I went with Ford. Now I officially have my license, couldn't recommend enough.

Fantastic experience: I bought the 18 hour training course with the driver's test and am so glad I did. My daughter drove with one instructor, Jose, and she thought he was the best. I appreciated that students are assigned to one instructor instead of having to acclimate to several. Jose was very kind and patient. I appreciated how they handle the DMV visit from start to finish. Fantastic experience: I bought the 12 hour plus DMV package from this driving school. My instructor was Belica and she did an amazing job! Within the 6 lessons I learned so much! Each time I would do something she would calmly explain it to me and everything she would tell me made sense. She made very easy to understand how to control the car and how to do things and when to do them. I passed my DMV test and now have my drivers license! I would highly recommend this driving school!

Fantastic experience: I'm glad that people such as me review stuff on Google. As a result, through several reviews I was able to decide upon which driving schools to contact. I called a few and I just did not get a good vibe at all. However, I noticed right away the friendliness and professionalism of The Ford Driving School when I called. I spoke with Anna who was very polite and she suggested 'Steve' would be a good suit for me as an instructor. She was right. Steve is an excellent instructor.I had just a few two hour lessons with Steve and passed my driver's test first time around. He put me at ease, explained everything carefully, and is a very easy going, chill guy. Anna and Anne-Marie always helped me with figuring my lessons and when to book my test, very well coordinated by them both. Outstanding driving school, don't go anywhere else if you want to pass your California driver's test.

Fantastic experience: Awesome experience! Got my license on the first attempt after getting trained by an expert and experienced Jose! Note: A little less proactive on the scheduling front, I would recommend you to take the lead on that front based on your availability.

Negative experience: Long story short, Waste 260, since covid, I was unable to take lessons. Asked refund, refused. So I asked appointment. They didn't verify my information. Just told me they would call me. Never received call from them since. Fake reviews also.

Fantastic experience: A stellar experience overall. I had multiple classes with Steve, which taught me how to drive from absolute scratch and gave me the confidence and experience needed to pass my test, which I passed today! Fantastic experience: Awesome driving school. Would've taken lessons earlier had I known it'd be this easy. Lady on the phone was nice and got me setup with a teacher right away. Was lucky enough to get Steve as my teacher. Real lay back and understanding guy. Helped me get comfortable on the road and corrected certain mistakes I made without making me feel bad. Fantastic experience: I hired Ford driving school when I first began to learn driving. I have recently hired Ford driving school again for my daughter just to be on the safe side and so that my daughter can learn from a third party besides her parents. It has worked very wonderful because she is now confident with her driving skills and not nervous around us.

Negative experience: So my experience with Ford Driving School is in the form of another driver in Los Angeles driving behind a Ford driving school instructor. I say instructor because he was the only person in the car so unless the car was stolen comma which may very well have been the case and if so then I'm sorry that explains the bad driving, the driver was likely one of the instructors. So let's see right turn lane clearly marked Right Turn Only all other traffic merge left he blows the right turn and cut everybody off. You know the one you see them every morning doing that same douchebag thing that we all hate well that's what the for driving school drivers do. But then to follow it up when I was hoping that I would get close enough to write down the phone number to the company he approached the left hand turn lane and although the light was already read and I figured I would be able to pull up next to him he sped through the light I'm blown away I mean I understand living in the big city you do need to have to learn to drive aggressively but this takes the cake. The only follow-up would be when I called to speak with a supervisor and was met with a slightly pleasant but mostly sarcastic receptionist who informed me that aside from the manager the buck stops with her and that he won't be in for another day and that if I'd like to I guess I can leave my phone number so if you want to learn to drive by bending the rules and Cutthroat this is the place for you. This will be fun when I download my driving cam to see how much of this got caught on film wait for the YouTube!

Fantastic experience: I was lucky enough to get Steve as my instructor. After 6 hours of lessons I managed to get my license on the first attempt. He was simply amazing. Real laid back and easy going, and very good at pinpointing and correcting errors. I warmly recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: Not sure what people below are talking about but my driving school experience was awesome. Leo, my instructor, taught me all the things I needed to know in order to pass the driving test. I went with the 6 hour plus driving test package (about $400). Initially I was freaking out getting behind the wheel but Leo assured that he got my back and to take it easy. After the second day of driving school I gained confidence getting behind the wheel. For the road test I went to the Glendale DMV office. I passed on my first try WOOT!! Thanks again Leo. I would recommend this school to my family and friends

Fantastic experience: Great place

Negative experience: Seemed nice at first, but the representative kept me on hold for a long time. I had to call back twice to maybe get an answer. An hour later, after I booked someone helpful elsewhere, she calls back asking if I wanted to book them. When I asked for details of the process, the rep raised her voice and condescendingly repeated herself. Because that's what details are. Repetition. Not information. It's not like I'm offering to pay for a professional service or anything. I'm sure the service is good, but the rep ruined it. They would be more successful with someone else in their office.

Fantastic experience: At first I couldn't even start the engine but after 6 sections of driving lessons with my sweet patient and detail minded instructor (Belica) I proudly passed

Negative experience: i needed to learn driving for my test i thought they were cheap turn out they charged me more and didn't offer any package to save me money and the diving instacers are not good so wrong. so i tried different place Allied driving school they charged me less n help me way more and help me a out in 3 lesson n i passed the test but ford i didnt n wasted money so dont go ford drving school!!!
