Fantastic experience: Abu and Vik were extremely polite and kind to me. I would definitely recommend taking classes with Vik—he was the calm I needed on my road test day. We reached Staten Island in just 10 minutes. You can take the R train from Atlantic Barclays Center and get off one block from the school. Regardless of my results, I would still highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: The best driving school ever. Had the 5 hour class very informative and easy. The driving lessons were amazing. I didn’t knew anything about the parallel parking and the 3 pointer. Patricia my amazing driving teacher taught me everything in like 20 mins. And i did every thing good cause of her. Passed my test in first try. And another amazing thing they managed my documents themselves so i had nothing on my plate. They did all of the things for me like making appointment with dmv. Managing my documents. Reminding me of the dates.Gotta say the best and amazing people. All credit to Patricia and Farah, wouldn’t have done it without u guys.

While, student at Alpha have nothing but positive reviews and positive road test exams and experiences. It’s obviously that YOU are the problem. Abu Shadi has been in business for over 30 years and is nothing but understanding and patient with both his customer and workers. He is professional and knows how to run his business. Negative experience: I really wish you wouldn’t double park your cars on 3rd Ave. It creates an extremely dangerous situation for bikers. You would think a driving school would lead by example.

Fantastic experience: I totally recommend this school, they are super-professional. My instructor is Joseph and he is great. I make sure to get most if not all my classes with him. He is very alert, identifies what we need to work on and just let me keep practicing. I would definitely recommend him as a seasoned instructor to any one especially beginners

Negative experience: You’ll see their attitude after they took your money , I came to school they took me to the test without training, and they came me wrong time of time the let me know the night before the test that my test has different time , when I called them after the test the guys says I have no time for you I’m busy with other people wait a call from us , but before I pay was different as much as they had the money

Negative experience: Terrible detailed Experience at Alpha Driving School in Brooklyn I had an appalling experience with Alpha Driving School located at 8509 3rd Ave, Brooklyn. Initially, they were friendly when I wasn’t registered and hadn’t paid yet. However, once I paid, the service took a nosedive. During the first lesson, they were late by 20 minutes, which was frustrating but tolerable. The second lesson was even worse – I was forced to wait for over an hour without any explanation. Things went from bad to worse when I had to cancel my third lesson due to a prior commitment. Not only did they fail to inform me upfront, but they also demanded an additional $20 on top of the $45 I had already paid. The following lessons were equally disappointing, with wait times stretching up to 60 minutes each. The climax of my frustration came on the day of my exam. Despite being told to arrive at 1 pm a week in advance, they suddenly changed the time to 12 pm. Despite arriving promptly, I was left waiting until 2 pm, causing unnecessary stress and confusion. When I raised my concerns, the staff showed blatant disregard and rudeness, with one individual even stating they “didn’t give a damn.” In summary, avoid Alpha Driving School at all costs. They will waste your time, energy, and money. The young girl at the front desk and the older staff members are equally rude and unprofessional. Save yourself the hassle and find a reputable driving school elsewhere.

Negative experience: Paid a package of driving classes for my mother. I have told them when we personally went in to pay for a package my mother has never drove before and of course it was fine for the boss and the receptionist at the place. The problem here is with the driving instructors. Absolutely one of the worse driving instructors and a horrible experience. My mother had different instructors each time. One female instructor was constantly on her phone and kept saying how tired she was. A male driving instructor LAUGHED and told my mother driving wasn’t her thing and recommended she should learn to ride a bike first (EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!) & last but not least there was another male instructor who showed his frustration in teaching my mother. These driving instructors do not know how to be professional and encouraging at all especially for people who have never drove a car before. I truly hope this doesn’t happen to anyone. It’s a shame this driving school has instructors that just discourages you from wanting to learn how to drive.

Fantastic experience: This driving school is amazing. I joined a course for my driving test day , all the trainers are nice and well experienced. On the test day a lady trainer took me. (Her name was Barisha , I guess) she’s such a nice helping person. I highly recommend this school.

Negative experience: Unfortunately I have to leave a poor review for this school, not because of the quality of teaching, but unprofessionalism on the staffs part. For 4 weeks I have been trying to get a lesson with this school, I even paid ahead of time to make sure I get a slot. All 4 times they cancelled my lesson. They even went as far as to say that I myself canceled the lesson, which I did not.. Then the receptionist calls me and apologizes, stating that they kept mistaking me for another Danny they have on file, and cancelled both our lessons essentially. The receptionist then says the next lesson scheduled would be on them the following week, which I thought was fair after being cancelled on 4 weeks in a row. Upon arival for my lesson today, the owner (a much older gentleman who is usually very kind), was overwhelmingly aggressive, stating that I was lying about the whole situation and demanding that I pay for the free lesson they previously promised as an apology for canceling on me so many time’s. He even went as far as to say that I came and took the lesson, and that he just saw me last week, when I hadn’t been in the Brooklyn area for almost a year up until that point.. Clearly he had me mistaken for someone else, and it’s sad because I really enjoyed their lessons and supported their business, but the owners aggressiveness and sheer unprofessionalism has cost him a customer. I would not recommend this school to anyone that is looking for a outlet professional experience through and through.

Fantastic experience: My son who is an active United States Marine was home for short visit and wanted to take some driving lessons and his road test. Considering his short stay and it being last minute his gf and I called several driving schools and only Alpha was able to accommodate him. They were able to book lessons and his road test all before he had to head back to CA. In the end he was a very confident driver and passed his road test. His instructor Rubi Zack was amazing with him. Thank you!! I highly recommend!!

I took three lessons with Ruby & one with Maria right before my road test & passed , The entire staff , owner literally everyone in Alpha are amazing they treated me very well I’m 8 months pregnant and everyone was sweet , nice & patient with me ! Negative experience: Paid $150 for a 45 mins lesson and road test. The instructor first came late, I got only 25 mins lesson as he wanted to have ice cream before my test. The rude guy dint want to take me to my test coz I questioned the short duration of the lesson. Forcefully took me back to the driving school and not my road test location, with a lot of arguing finally made it to the road test site 5 mins later than my scheduled time. They act like they’re doing you a favor even after paying so much for their service. Such people should be closed down. Would give zero stars if possible!

Fantastic experience: I got to take lessons with almost all of the current instructors. Learned more in 1 lesson with them than I have in 10 lessons in another local driving school. Ever grateful for this team of instructors--communicative, keen on details, affordable.

Fantastic experience: I passed my road test and have been driving for 2 months with a daily 2 hour commute between home and work with no issues at all, all thanks to Alpha Driving School. Like any business, they want to make money but they also take pride in their school and want to see you pass. You'll know what I'm talking about if you take lessons with them. The instructors identify where your weak points are and work with you to improve them. They have tips on how to turn, park, etc. Santiago and Julio are both excellent instructors, I strongly recommend you go with them. I also herd Vick is good.

Fantastic experience: Alpha Driving School has by far the best instructors that I have ever taken driving lessons with. The instructor that I had was Vik. He is a really cool, and down to earth person, who has a great sense of humor. He is very patient, and he takes his time in teaching the student on how to properly drive,turn, park, perform broken k-turn,and be observant on the road. He corrected a lot of the mistakes that I was making, which helped me pass my road test in Coney Island.....THANK YOU VIK, & THANK YOU ALPHA DRIVING SCHOOLl!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

Fantastic experience: My dude Julio taught me everything I needed to know for the test, made everything a piece of cake. Real good instructor with him teaching you'll pass no problem. Alpha is a really good school too everyone there friendly and always called to remind me of classes. They care about their students.

Just a quick p.s., If you already have a little bit of stress about your road-test since it's your second time, you may take your classes with the younger instructor. Fantastic experience: TRUST ME, this is the school if your want to learn to drive; and not only but drive well in NYC. I'm a New Yorker and if your a New Yorker as well, you would probably agree with me that NYC Taxi had freaked us all out when it comes a new driver on the road driving in NYC or passing the road test. I took lessons with just about all the the teachers, all except for the pretty lady, which also held a great reputation respectfully. However I highly recommend AbuShadi and VIK, both of whom were very calm and informative with questions and concerns and highly skilled as both drivers and teachers to ensure yourself with confidence and teachings to run the streets of NY and any road test standing in your way. Rest assured........and if you call and check out their prices also, you will be shocked of how you can still find gems at such a low price; I mean, we do live in NYC.
