Fantastic experience: I go here every three years 4 the Defensive driving Course and the instructor is funny, engaging and straightforward. I enjoy the class and you will too. I just don't understand why his phone # is disconnected! Smh

Negative experience: Bad school, worst experience, they took my money and said the school is closed for repairs and I waited a lot and I called every day and no one answered and after a few months they said the school is closed, they did not respect the contract, I lost my money, and they did not accept to give me my money back,

Negative experience: Horrible attitude voice and overall presentation bring breath mints and earplugs he yells

Fantastic experience: I admiringly recommend ARC driving school. I learned through three(3) different instructors in a relatively short period (6 lessons)of time and passed the road test on my first and only attempt. Mario was a big help he gave me a confidence of “I can do attitude”,Persistence and tenacity are the keys.

Negative experience: This man is a thief and very disrespectful. He cussed me out on the phone because he didn’t want to give me back my refund. Very unprofessional,they only have one instructor who has a speech impairment and it’s so hard to understand what he’s saying.DO NOT GO TO THIS DRIVING SCHOOL

Fantastic experience: I passed my road test the first time, thanks to expert instructors at ARC. To pass, choose at least one of ARC packages to have adequate supervised driving lessons and heed to instructor’s advice during lessons. ARC will train you on what’s required to pass, and you will pass. I highly recommend ARC AUTO SCHOOL. Wishing everyone good luck in their tests.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this driving school I learned so much and passed on my first try taking the road test. Steve was a big help throughout me learning to drive he’s calm and very patient in making sure you feel comfortable and ready when scheduling your road test. Mr. Mario and Mr. Ansel were also helpful in making sure I felt comfortable while driving.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend going to this driving school !!! They are absolutely amazing !! I paid for the package with six lessons, and they scheduled my road test within that same month & I passed thanks to their fantastic team; Mr.Mario, and Mr.Hinsi Kathia.

Fantastic experience: I passed my road test with only two lessons, each lesson was with a different instructor. Both instructors were patient yet firm with driving safely and properly. I definitely recommend this school, they work with you and for you.

They are very unorganized and unprofessional on the day of my road test I had one more lesson then my road test they never came for my last lesson because they said both cars broke down and I paid for 10 lesson so I’m not taking my road test without getting all the lessons I paid for and they made me pay again to reschedule when it was 100% their fault

Fantastic experience: Cons: They were late about two times; however, they did apologize. As a reminder, most times, I called the day before to make sure they would come and pick me up. They need to implement a system where they text or call you to solidify your driving appointment. Other driving schools do this as well, and it would provide a more seamless process. Pros: I will like to give gratitude to God and ARC Driving School for helping me to obtain my license. Thumbs up to Noah and Steve, who taught me tips for being a safe driver. Additionally, they were very encouraging throughout the entire process. When an instructor presses the break, do not get annoyed. Remember, on the day of your actual driving test, if you make a mistake, the same can happen; it may even cost you your license. Lastly, never finish a negative statement; reverse it and relax. Negative experience: All around a**hole Mario is the rudest person and he is the owner. Decent staff some has REAL BAD breath too gotta open windows BAD.

Fantastic experience: It was not easy for me sometimes during my driving lessons. But I will say thanks to everyone specially to the instructors Steven. He gave me the best practices to get my driver's license.

Negative experience: PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS!!!!! ….the owner is rude and unprofessional . When my partner first came to this site he was told he would be taking the road test before Christmas and two weeks later when he went in for the first lesson he was told they didn’t add him in the first group so now the date was pushed back to next yr …Jan 23 to be exact .The driver is late to every appointment and today we had an emergency last min we called in two hours prior to change the date of the lesson and he was yelling on the phone stating that he did not care what was going on and he was not going to reschedule anything. Mind you this is my partners last lesson (and u can tell they messed up on scheduling the road test because of the date of the last lesson ).most driving schools schedule the last lesson closest to the road test date ! ALL THE REVIEWS ARE THE SAME ESPECIALLY ABOUT HIM BEING EXTREMELY RUDE ! SO PLEASE DONT NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS ……..you should never pay to be disrespected!!!!!!!!! I wish I could give this business 0stars they don’t deserve 1 star !!!

Fantastic experience: So I took the driver’s test before in red hook and I failed. So I took two years off and then decided to go to do my road test. Looking on google to find the closest driving school in my area. Stumble upon Arc Auto School. Long story short I decided to take one lesson just for a refresher. The owner’s son took me to the lesson on Tuesday gave me good pointers and on Thursday I passed my driver’s license test. Thank you so much

They are literally robbing people in there & then when you try to ask them for better understanding the older guy tell you WHATEVER. he is so rude, nasty, and disrespectful. Fantastic experience: With just four lessons. Yes 4, I passed my road test on the first try. All my instructors for each lesson were able to guide me through my driving process and instilled some very valuable lessons and techniques when it came to driving. I couldn't have passed my road test without them. Think about if they weren't marvelous at what they do why would someone recommend them to me?

Fantastic experience: I am beyond excited to say that I got my license after attempting with so many different schools. I am so happy this was my last stop. Took my road test today and I PASSED. if it wasn't for this school I don't know I probably wouldn't even think about driving again. Being someone who is extremely nerves, they taught me how to control the car and become much more confident in driving. ( like you’re an instructor your job is to teach..) anyways 8 classes was paid for I got 4 proper classes and then it was always an issue with coming to take my road test. Hot complete mess. Fantastic experience: I wanna thank the 3 instructors I had at arc. I LEARNED something different from each one of you. I do not remember every one name, only Mario. He was my main instructor. A very passionate guy, that will call u out when you are doing something incorrect.. I was a nervous wreck when I began this driving school in February and now I'm PROUD to have a driving liscence in March. THANK YOU arc for being so patient and professional. (Side joke). I was one of those students that made you work hard for the money.

Fantastic experience: Hey I Honestly can say that i had a great experience with ARC Driving School i got my Permit October 2020 & i payed for 16 lessons because i was a first time driver & had no experience . I took my Road Test in seaview Feb 9 2021 & Passed .. they showed me everything i needed to know & my 16 lessons was well needed they broke everything down for me and now im a license driver with my own car driving within 3 months thanks to ARC Driving School i could not have done it without them .

All he do is yell and call other black drivers “monkeys” and when you set a pacific time they alway trying to change your time and the OWNER never knows anything about his business like for example when a driver cancel on you last minute or if you owe any money because his Receipts are never together

Fantastic experience: If you want to take your road test and pass on your first try. I recommend you go to ARC. They are full of great instructors that will get you to where you need to be to be successful. I am so thankful. Even after I get my license I will be taking a few more lessons with them to perfect my driving, that’s how good they are!

Fantastic experience: Great choice in a driving school ! Reasonable prices, great teaching of the techniques to driving. Very vocal in what you need to work on and gives you the blue print for parallel parking and how make a U-turn. Glad I choose this school and I passed my drivers test on the first try, thanks to them.

Negative experience: I had a terrible experience from first lesson, The instructor Marino is extremely aggressive , he made me so nervous all through ,I decided to stop the second lesson and got my money back , he was screaming at me so loud that I thought he was getting out of line that I had get off his car. Fantastic experience: This one of the best driving schools I've been too. The instructor pit point what needs to be worked on and work on it. The instructor pushes you to make sure you get it correctly. Let's you know how it is with the road test and what is expected for first timers. He was patience with me and helped me a lot. I recommend getting lessons from him if you want to learn ways of the road.

Fantastic experience: The instructor Mario is a very stern, passionate, and focused teacher. I've come to this school twice because my first 5 hour lesson expired in 2015 (he was quick to remind me that I could have gotten my license by then, I was just scared and put it off tbh). He was also very patient when it came to the driving lessons, and even has a helpful worksheet to that he uses to help you highlight what you should focus on to pass. His lessons were great, and helped me gain confidence in driving. I would highly recommend. I passed my road test on my first attempt, just be attentive, patient, and focused on your goals. Negative experience: Don’t come here the driving instructor only yells in your face and doesn’t teach you much about parking or driving on the highway please please save your money and time

Negative experience: This driving school is horrible. For such poor rating he tries to convince you other wise. For someone new driving on the road like myself he scream and grab my hand making me extra nervous and his excuse was that's just the way he talks. He also said he was trying to make me an aggressive driver which will not help during a road test. He also got into a verbal argument with someone while we were driving which the person almost got out of his car towards us. Also I did not work on anything that we discussed. He has so many excuses for his actions. Stopping for personal conversation while I am paying for this driving class. There was so much more bUT I just want you all to know turn away from arc on pitkin. Completely unprofessional stay away take my word last thing he got into a full argument with me because I called to confirm my road test date telling me my name was not in the system which his receptionist called me prior to it.

Negative experience: I got referred to by two other friends to this auto school for me the worst experience of my life they are the cheapest seems like they are overbooked...simply put you get what you pay for I scheduled 3 driving lessons and the pre-licensing course...driving lesson are so closely booked that the instructors are never on time (which I was warned about)and class run into each other to make up...and it didn't help that my home/pickup location was all the way in prospect heights which was factored into the driving time so it was recommended that I find my way to brownsville because with traffic by the time he got to my house it would have been 20 to 30 Mintues into what was supposed to be the lesson even though that had nothing to do with me since I wasn't in the vehicle...he also didn't like my location because he preferd using streets in brownsville he already knew with less congestion than mapping out new ones around my area to use all this to say it's only good for the crown heights,East New York and Brownsville community. A bit of miscommunication caused me to miss my road test and rescheduling it is what caused me to write this review because that process made me feel like I was asking this auto school for a huge favor instead of being a customer.... I had one pass instructor who priced a bit more than this auto school but made my location work for practices saved a total of 30 dollars switching and being cheap, wish I didn't -_- .
