Orlando & Carlos Driving School

Negative experience: This is my first review but I did it after losing so much money and time . I told them I have just one problem: the parallel parking is only this, so the instructor needs to help me most on this . But the same problem sorry but their learning way is not good. I failed the road test 2 times because of the same mistake and I know it . Also one thing I paid them for 2 classes from 11:15 to 12:45 but I was surprised at 12:25 he told you have to go where .. and for those 2 classes I suppose to pay just 90 $ but they took 100$ . You have to review your service guys .

Positive experience: I would of given them a 5 but the problem was my introcter didn't focus on my problem which was parking, 45 minutes and it felt like 20 minutes of just driving and 1 parking. Not enough practice with the parking even though I told him that was my biggest issue.

Fantastic experience: After transferring over from another driving school that wasn't working out (after 16 lessons and two road test failures) I signed up for this school and picked package number 2. I received an additional class because I took my own 5 hour online class. So in total I had six classes, the car rental, and the road test appointment. My instructor was Nancy who provided a lot of help for me. She helped adjust what I learned from the other school to meet the road test guidelines. It took a bit to adjust and I couldn't believe what a difference it made. I was able to pass my road test over at Starrett City (or you can choose Ridgewood) and I want to say thank you for your help and your humor and to the agency who had kind support and helped explain any questions I may have had.

Fantastic experience: I recommend this school to anyone who is nervous about their test. Passed on the first go and my instructor was always helpful on making sure I knew what to expect.

Fantastic experience: For anyone wanting the most efficient way to get a license, I recommend this school in the terms of choosing Nancy as your driving instructor. Some instructors will not have the patience to deal with mistakes or teach you how to drive efficiently. Nancy, a very joyful and outgoing instructor with much experience enjoys teaching others and finding ways help them learn in what works best for them. If you haven’t picked the wheel in a while and get nervous easily, or are a slow learner like myself, Nancy will make sure you understand everything and will reassure you if you are doing something wrong. There is no such thing as a bad or good student, just a bad or good teacher. She enjoys to share her personal stories and will make it her priority to help you get that drivers license.

Fantastic experience: I passed my exam with flying colors. This is the cheapest driving school in the area with the best quality. The instructors are very nice and helped me gain the confidence I needed.

Fantastic experience: I had an absolutely amazing experience with this driving school! My brother, Carlos, is truly the best instructor out there. His guidance and expertise made the entire process so smooth and enjoyable. If you follow his advice, you're sure to pass your road test with flying colors! Negative experience: Sadly this is my first negative review. I am not sure where all of these positive reviews are coming from, however, this company has been extremely unprofessional. I was excited to have a female driving instructor. However, this instructor was on her phone the entire time, had me drive to her home to pick up lunch, told me excellerate when pedestrians were crossing in front of me (i did not), and took the wheel from my when trying to park ( no other cars were around, not sure how we are expected to learn when she interrupts when there is no safely hazard). She then had the audacity to get me purchased more classes. A couple weeks after they refused to reschedule 2 classes due to a death and funeral. They did not specify that reschedules were not allowed, and informed me that with my package car and drivers exam was included but not that this 'expired' after a certain time. These people do not care about teaching and they definitely do not care about their students. Will not return or recommend.

Negative experience: The customer service needs a little attention and I still don't get a solution on my issue. The certificate they gave me after the 5 hours course is not allowing my to take the driving exam. Seems like the certificate is not registered and I didn’t receive any solutions, people who took the course in other places after me got a date for their driving tests before me. Doesn’t seem right.

Fantastic experience: Best driving school ! I took 10 driving lessons package and got my license in the first try, they have professional front desk staff. If you want to learn to drive come to Orlando and Carlos driving school! The instructors are professional and specialized in nervous people.

Fantastic experience: My result are in and I PASSED on my first try ! Words can’t describe how grateful I am to come across Carlos and Orlando driving school. I had the pleasure to take my driving lessons with both instructors Nancy & Oscar. However I chose to take the rest of my driving lessons with Oscar. Negative experience: Extremely unprofessional. I took some lessons with Nancy and she was good but one experience kept me from going back. I had a class with Carlos and he said very personal and sexual things about himself casually while I was driving. It’s distracting and inappropriate. I had some classes left but I didn’t bother going back.

Fantastic experience: Words can’t describe how grateful I am to have come across this driving school. I have pretty bad anxiety and being behind the wheel freaks me out. I was paired with Oscar and, as dramatic as this may sound, he was a gift from God lol. He is so patient and understanding. He teaches you at your own pace and has trust in your capabilities. You can tell by his teaching style that he truly cares about the impact he leaves on you and wants you to pass your test. He helped my anxiety go out the window and it’s because of him that I was able to gain the confidence to believe in myself and have faith. I took my road test for the first time with this company and passed. Extremely happy I came across this location! Also, everyone who works here is super nice. Please do not hesitate to give it a try, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Been extremely busy and didn't get a chance to do this sooner but they absolutely rock!! Had the pleasure of taking lessons with both Nancy & Carlos and both are extremely knowledgeable and well versed. They don't lie where they say that they build your confidence in your abilities. Just trust and listen to everything they tell you regarding your test and it should be an easy pass. My mistakes were my own and that's why it took me multiple attempts to pass my road test.

Fantastic experience: I will never forget these people I spend a lot of money with another driving school super star driving school which was a big waste of my time and money until I found Orlando & Carlos driving school Carlos as my instructor he was patient and he pointed my mistakes and we worked on what was needed to work on when it was time for my road test I was sick but on the first try I passed I just wanna say thank you to the team. I guarantee your not wasting your money when you allow these people to teach you it’s been a year now since I got my license and every time I pass by the driving I smile thank you guys once again

Fantastic experience: I passed my road test on the first try and within one month of starting my classes. My instructor was Oscar. He was the best instructor ever. Taught me everything seamlessly and showed me how to park so easily. When it was the day of the exam he took me and three others and was there every step of the way. I felt very happy to have been able to pass and have a great instructor. Oscar was very patient in showing me everything and what to look out for even on the days I forgot how to do things. Overall my experience was 10/10 with this school and instructor highly recommend. I did the Package of 10 classes, with everything included for a total of $480. In my opinion its the best price for what you get and learn in the neighborhood.

Fantastic experience: This driving school is wonderful. They let me try another instructor after two practice lessons with accommodating times to my work schedule. Ever since, Oscar had made my lessons very calm and easy to understand what the exam will look for. I aced my test last week and I really couldn’t have done it without his help! I am really grateful and recommended him to people I know that want to learn how to drive.

Fantastic experience: Just called with some queries and the young lady who answered was really helpful. No rushy or snobby behaviour. Kudos to them.

Positive experience: The good: * Nancy, the instructor for most of my lessons (see below for more details), was super patient and encouraging throughout all my lessons. She taught me great hacks for nailing turns and parallel parking. Nancy is 100% the reason I passed my road test, and I'm incredibly grateful for her support. * Nice front desk staff who will help you whenever you have questions or issues (again, see below). * Solid price for lessons. * Online 5-hour class. * Great cars that are super recent. Wow, things have changed DRASTICALLY since 2017 when I started learning to drive! The bad: My first few lessons were with Carlos. Partway through my last lesson with him, he asked increasingly intimate questions about my current and past relationships — even when I tried to keep the conversation PG. I'm not sure how discussing sexual aspects of my relationship helps me improve my driving. After that lesson ended, I asked the front desk to change me to someone else. They made sure I wouldn't have to interact with Carlos for the remainder of my lessons. If it wasn't for Nancy, I would've gone somewhere else and given this driving school the lowest rating. I would never recommend Carlos as an instructor to women or girls. The way he treated me was unacceptable; I can only imagine how he speaks to younger women. I hope Nancy starts her own driving school so I can recommend it wholeheartedly.

Fantastic experience: THIS IS THE SCHOOL YOU NEED TO GO TO IF YOU WANT TO PASS YOUR ROAD TEST!!!!! I only took 3 classes with Orlando & Carlos Driving School and it was amazing. They received me with open arms and made me feel so secure and welcome. I felt like I've been driving with them for so long and they made me feel like they actually wanted to teach me unlike other schools I've went to. Nancy is an AMAZING teacher and she WILL make sure she does everything in her power to help you pass. As I was waiting to take my road test the guy who took me was so sweet and made me lose all my nervousness. He played music and gave me great tips before it was my turn. Fantastic experience: They’re simply the best! Nancy and Carlos are both extremely friendly, patient, and helpful instructors. They really just want you to do well. Even the front desk workers are extremely nice (which you don’t find everywhere). I came in with little to no driving experience (just driving with family 2-3 times) and passed my road test on the first try. They also taught me the easiest parking method I’ve ever seen. I recommended them to my partner and all my friends who don’t have their license yet.

Over the years, this driving school has only gotten better and there are more vehicles/instructors available. Carlos will do everything to help you pass your driving test, and will definitely push you to be successful. Him and his school are truly an asset to the community.. your money will be well spent learning and preparing with him/his team.

Fantastic experience: Carlos and his staff Nancy, patricia and Gabi are the best. I initially took 15 lesson package, passed road test on first attempt and signed up for more lessons. Carlos and Nancy are the best instructors and their cars are comfortable and modern. They are very understanding and attentive, make you feel comfortable and safe, and won't hesitate to intervene if necessary. You are in very good hands. They offer the best packages. I recommend the 20 lesson package and even after you pass road test, to sign up for more classes. Passing the road test is one thing; but being actually able to drive in actual life situation is also very important. I highly recommend (after getting license) to get some highway driving experience and Carlos will make sure that You are safe. Patricia and gabi run the office smoothly. What are you waiting for? Fantastic experience: Awesome, beautiful people who will treat you like family. Carlos is passionate about his job and gives his students 1000%. Carlos is patient, dedicated, persistent, punctual and driven. Carlos can not control the intricacies related to difficult inspectors nor their odd ways of assessing candidates but what Carlos can do is get you ready to overcome any challenges that come your way the day of the road test. I am sorry I did not find this school earlier in time. I would have avoided unnecessary stress and saved valuable time, energy and money. I really want to also thank Shirley in the office for all her dedication and patience coordinating and planning and repeating over and over the same information while always keeping her calm. I only had one class with Gabriella the new instructor but she was also phenomenal : detail-oriented, positive and professional. If you sign up with them, make sure to book your classes early enough because their schedule is packed. If you are committed, serious and attend your classes as scheduled, they will lead you to success. Go to them with confidence. These guys are the real deal.

Fantastic experience: Great experience with Carlos - really affordable and he is an excellent instructor. My focus was passing the test - which I did after 10 lessons. These are good people who actually care (if you are not on time, they will call you to make sure you haven't missed your lesson - even if you pay in advance). The five lesson deal (great deal) includes driving you to and from the test site and use of the car on the test. I'm really glad I found these guys.

Fantastic experience: Had my permit for 3 years and struggled with parking and never could get it right. Carlos explained it in the most easiest and simplest way and with just 5 lessons I passed the road test in my first attempt! the packages are cheaper than other driving schools I've seen too. Fantastic experience: Best in brooklyn, my whole experience was nothing but great. Carlos is the Best driving instructor that i ever had, very patient and gives the best tips on driving. Fantastic experience: I was terrified of taking my driving test as it was my first time. Luckily I met Carlos and his wonderful staff! He was very patient with me throughout my ten lessons and was very accommodating as I had to leave the state for two months due to school, helping me schedule the lessons and the test around my life. His staff was organized and made sure I knew of any changes well in advance. I passed on my first try which was amazing as I was so nervous but his calm and reassuring manner really helped on the way to the test. I guarantee that you will be confident and skilled by the time you reach your test!

Fantastic experience: Definitely definitely recommend going to this driving school. Carlos is very patient and professional. I went to another driving school before and failed at my first try to get my license. I had a very hard time with parking so I decided to go Carlos driving school. My road test was due in a week and I took only 2 classes with him and I PASSED my road test. Carlos thought me such a simple and easy way to park and I nailed it at my road test. I am so grateful for and thankful for finding such a great instructor that works with his students and is very patient. I definitely recommend any one to go to this driving school if you want to pass your road test

Fantastic experience: My experience with this driving school was phenomenal. I am so happy I invested my time and money on this company. Customer service is awesome and the secretaries are professional and have a lot of patience. My instructor Carlos is very committed to his work. He cares for his students, very professional when he teaches , and has a lot of patience. Nervous customers are his speciality; and that's a fact. He taught me so well how to drive, park and do u turns the correct way. If this is your first time driving and wonder if this should be the school to learn,I really recommend this school to be your first choice. All you need to do is be committed and stay focus. I just want to say thank you so much Carlos I wouldn't have done this with out you and my high all mighties along with my husband my huge supporter. Im so happy I now have my driving licences . I pass the driving test with only 5 points. Thank you! You are the best.

Fantastic experience: I know alot of ppl that had bad experience with driving school and instructors. But not in this case Carlos is one of the best I seen every respectful and doesn't lose he's cool he takes his time and teach you the easiest way to park. I got my license in the first time. I still owe him dinner meal. Thank u once again Carlos I appreciate it and wish more driving schools were more like this school. Thanks ones again :-)
