Fantastic experience: Santino was my 2nd child who utilized Top Driver. We want to especially acknowledge Adam at the Oaklawn Location. He Was always kind, clear, patient and positive with my son. They had some down time so he even took him to see Christmas displays during their traffic. Adam always explained things to not only my son, but to the parent.

Fantastic experience: I had Adam for most of my driving lessons and my road test and he definitely helped me in all of my lessons and made sure i understood my mistakes and explained it very well. Negative experience: If I could give them zero I would- this is a scam company. NOT recommended, my child signed up for a basic class and learned at orientation he was in the wrong class, the scam-instructor told him to leave- he was removed from the class within an hour and they took $200.00! Place is a joke!! **We called &emailed-we attempted to explain the situation and your ignorant staff member didn’t care- give me a direct number and extension to call- I’m not emailing again.

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience with the Topdriver team at Cicero in general. But, cannot say enough about Instructor, Mr. Adam Wisemann. Very professional and wonderful to work with. He went above and beyond in helping us getting the scheduled driving lessons to suit my son crazy schedule. Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience for our son. He was able to take his road test through Top Driver with a person is was already comfortable with rather than a stranger from the DMV. We made an appointment at DMV and walked out with his license within TEN minutes. It was wonderful. We already signed our younger son up for the same program.

The in-car driving instructors were so helpful and explained how to do every part of driving, they helped you go through every step. I would recommend this class to anyone who is wanting to drive.

Negative experience: DO NOT use Top diver. Beware. You will get NO drives and it is a complete scam. You send emails and they do not respond. One Star for the classes and instructors. However to schedule drives is a joke which we were warned by the facility itself first day. All of customer service is horrendous to deal with and complete liars. They do not have enough staff to even do drives and are filled within minutes with all south side kids fighting for the same tines and slots.. Spoke to customer service more than once. The balance was to be removed due to a Dr appt for double vision and needing clearance to drive.
We checked into your teen's account and notice there is a balance due which is why you would not see any available drives. Please contact Customer Service to discuss the situation and they will be happy to help. Thank you.

Positive experience: Our teacher cj is a great teacher, patient, understanding and well informed on what he is teaching. But the curriculum isn't the best but cj does his best. This review is not a reflection of our teacher this a review of the buisness

Thank you for your interest. Unfortunately we currently do not have enough staff to service adult students since we are primarily a teen-focused business. Should that change and we are able to hire additional instructors then we are happy to begin scheduling lessons with adults once again. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Can not say anything more positive about Top Driver. I have had great experiences all around but one that stands out in particular are the in vehicle lessons with Charles Weis. I had Mr Weis for almost all of my drives and the way he teaches you to be a good, safe, responsible driver is like no other. Overall would highly recommend putting your child through Top Driver and definitely would recommend Charles Weis to anyone!!!

Negative experience: Website is a joke, your local 7-Eleven could handle traffic. Conveniently shut their phones down when web traffic increases. Place is a hot mess run with bear bones technology. Must have modeled their business after the DMV.
We completely understand your frustration, as it is shared in all of our offices as well. We have been working diligently with our IT service provider and hope to now have the issue resolved. Going forward, in-vehicle lesson scheduling will be staggered by location which will alleviate the stress on the system. This is a change that we planned to implement this month but the testing of the program was not complete by yesterday and we did not want to risk it. Thank you for your understanding.

Negative experience: I completed my 30 hours online but top driver didn’t remind me for 9 months that I have to have my 6 hours of in- person driving. (waste of 500 dollars if you ask me)
I am sorry that you were not aware of the program requirements. When you enrolled there was a Welcome email sent that detailed each part of the program along with an orientation video that also discussed the classroom and driving requirements. The Secretary of State requires all students to complete their program within 9 months and Customer Service does email our customers before they approach their completion deadline to remind them of any outstanding items. Fantastic experience: Top Driver is one of the best drivers Ed places that I have been to because they know how to give advice about driving after you get your license they know how to give good directions and the instructors are very nice I recommend Top Driver for future young beginner drivers

Negative experience: Website is hard for students to navigate. They have a 9 month window for course and will not adjust this due to COVID but they would NOT take students out for road training because of COVID. After spending 800.00 for two students, they now want another 300.00 to re-activate the course. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL
Hello, we have been following rules and protocol as directed by the Illinois Secretary of State regarding completion deadlines. Since June 1, 2020, we have been fully in operation providing behind the wheel lessons and since earlier this summer we have been conducting in-person classroom instruction at our Oak Lawn location. Negative experience: Terrible teacher to student communication. My son was in class and got kicked out a minute later for being late. Wasting both mine and his time. Would not recommend this for your student unless the instructor is fired.
We are sorry that you did not have a positive experience and would like to discuss your situation with you. The Secretary of State is our governing agency and one of their requirements is that students cannot arrive for class any later than 10 minutes past the stated start time. This is a strict Secretary of State rule and must be enforced by our instructor team. Students are allowed to makeup up to 4 classes and there are several options to choose from for these sessions. Fantastic experience: I just passed my exam yesterday, I really recommend them I did the 6 hour program for adults online and I half to say this is the best by far. It only takes 24 hours for them to email your certificate on top of it!
