Fantastic experience: I am new to the US, but an experienced driver. I scheduled my driving test at DPS Dacoma. I reached out to many driving schools for a short driving lesson and a rental car. After many calls I spoke with Tony at Road Ready Driving School. He not only helped me with a 1-hour driving lesson, but also gave me a rental car for the test. He is a very experienced professional and helped me relax and ace the test. I later got to know that it would have been much better to take the driving test with this school itself - not necessary to take it at the DPS only. Anyway, I passed the exam. Thanks Tony!

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I relocated from New York and needed a drivers license. I purchased the max amount of classes despite having taken lessons in New York. MR. KING LARRY is the BEST INSTRUCTOR HANDS DOWN. He always had a playbook of illustrations to make what he was teaching make sense. I felt so calm and confident behind the wheel. Aside from Mr. King Larry, the owner was amazing too! Positive experience: I give them a 4 star rating just off the pricing for the service they provide I took my road test in there car honestly in my opinion use your car because the car they offer is kind of rinky dinky the shifter was broke as I was trying to put it in reverse it had pulled up so I had the whole thine in my hand the driver instructor told me juss to be careful and place it back down in the hole also driving the car it doesn’t recenter it self when turning be mindful of that it will continue to go in the directions it’s in an you can lose control of the car an fail but all in all I past but try to use your own car if so

Fantastic experience: I just finished my road test today with Mr. Tony and I have to say, hands down, he has some of the most respectful, patient, positive and calm energy. I came in extremely nervous but that all went out of the window from the moment he greeted me to the moment we got finished the test, went over how I did and parted ways. I'm extremely grateful to him and satisfied with the decision I made to use Road Ready to assist me with getting my permanent license. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place. Also, the receptionist was EXTREMELY pleasant and helpful during my payment and booking process. Overall, this place is top tier in my book.

Fantastic experience: I’d like to thank Road Ready driving school and in particular my driving instructor - Ibe. I’ve done all the steps in the school: in-class lecture, driving lessons and driving test. Ibe is a wonderful instructor with a talent to teach people. I used to drive not often around 10 years ago and it was a stress for me to sit down and drive again as I didn’t gain enough confidence at that time. Ibe helped me to recover from such long break, she was patient and supportive all the time! I greatly appreciate her explanations how to feel the car sizing, proper driving behavior and safety techniques. I’d like to highlight her attitude, when I made a mistake and I started feeling frustrated with myself, Ibe’s cheers up helped me to keep going a lot. Thanks a lot to Ibe and Road Ready driving school!

Fantastic experience: BEST driving school in Houston, hands down! If you’re looking for a great Houston driving school, this is the place for you. I highly recommend Mr. King (Larry) as he is an incredibly patient and exceptional instructor. I had some previous drivers ed classes but needed to take a few additional lessons to hone my skills. So glad I did! Mr. King uses repetition as a teaching technique so that everything you learn becomes second nature. It was like driving with a compassionate father figure—it doesn’t get much better than this, especially if you find yourself a bit nervous. The receptionist (India) was very efficient at scheduling lessons and so encouraging prior to my road test. Really positive energy. The examiner (Tony) was super thorough and by the book, but don’t be intimidated by this; he just wants to ensure that you are truly “road ready” before you start driving in Houston, and you’ll appreciate it later. My advice is to practice as much as you can prior to the exam and make a list of any questions you may have before you begin. Overall, this was an excellent experience and I highly recommend Road Ready as the top driving school for adults (and teenagers) in the Houston, TX area.

Negative experience: Website, registration, and customer service is such a joke. Specifies that you can pay by check, gives you a registration confirmation number, gives you a registration confirmation email, but never actually registers you. Happened two Saturdays in a row, including one where we showed up and there was … no class happening. After calling, was told the website just provides inaccurate information, including the claim that classes are held “every” Saturday. Also was told that those registration confirmations are “not real” - but that this failure to register was “on me” lol.

Fantastic experience: I only took one lesson, along with the third party road skills test, but it was extremely helpful and a good experience. The instructor really makes sure you’re comfortable with the car, checks your knowledge of road signs, and makes sure you are safe while making the best of the instruction time. I would recommend this place to others.

KC was my instructor for the classes and he is wonderful! He is patient and kind! The best thing I learned in my lessons with him was to trust myself and to trust my abilities. Tony was also very helpful in my road test and clarified any questions I had! I am very satisfied with the services provided!

My application to the DPS was expertly handled also. All my fears were taken away within the very first day. I guess that's what you get when you have a well trained staff. Fantastic experience: Overall my experience with Road Ready Driving School was really great, I wish I could give 4.5 stars though do to one minor complaint. I went from having never driven to being a licensed driver in exactly 30 days from my first lesson. My two instructors were the school’s owner Tony, and Larry, they were patient, encouraging, and understanding of my situation. I failed the first test but Tony immediately encouraged me to calm my nerves and not give up. I tried again and passed a few days later. I was able to go to DPS that same day and get my license. My biggest concern was with the website and scheduling system, an online scheduler or at least real availability would be an excellent addition. Had a couple reschedules but everything worked out. I also intend to come back for more lessons as I’m still learning to drive.

Fantastic experience: I brought my wife to get the road test with Road Ready Driving School as my step son had already completed his road test with Tony. My wife was very nervous as she has had a driver for the last several years when we were living overseas. Tony was very patient and calm with her and as a result she was able to pass all of the tests. I would highly recommend Road Ready after the experience of dealing with the impersonal approach of the test at DMV myself. Thanks Tony!!!

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience learning to drive at Road Ready Driving School! As an adult learner who experiences a lot of anxiety behind the wheel, I feel I was in the best hands at Road Ready Driving School. Tony was a fantastic instructor- he made me feel safe while giving concrete instructions and helpful tips. After 5 lessons, I feel much more comfortable behind the wheel and am confident that I now have the baseline skills to drive safely and defensively. I passed my road test on the first try and am now a licensed driver. I highly recommend this service to anyone learning to drive and looking for professional instruction. Not to mention, you won't find better value for your dollar anywhere else in Houston!

Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed my driving lesson today! It was affordable and learned a lot in a short amount of time. Will most definitely be coming back here for lesson #2. I will update when i get my license! UPDATE: I got my license! During my driving lessons he gave me great advice and helped me build up my confidence on the road and freeways. Fantastic experience: I just moved to Houston and was looking for a great place for a road test. Tony was highly professional in making sure that I was attended to quickly. He communicated clearly and made me comfortable for the road test. I recommend this place to any one moving from out of town and is located in the uptown area.

Positive experience: i liked my experience with tony, he was my instructor for all 6 of my lessons and i had no prior driving experience before coming here but i learned a lot from him. he was friendly and engaged in conversation while i drove which eased some of my anxiety making me feel more comfortable on the road as i wasn’t overthinking what i was doing. he answered every driving related question i had, and even repeated anything i needed to understand better. however he can be a bit discouraging when you make a mistake or aren’t making quick progress especially if you’re a slow learner and need constant positive reinforcement like me, but he did give praise for skills i was improving at each lesson. on my last lesson, he was kind enough to offer to show me the testing route so i knew what to expect on my actual test!

Fantastic experience: I absolutely loved the customer service and the environment of the school, I took my class and road test with them. I really recommend ROAD READY DRIVING SCHOOL!

Negative experience: Casey was great in boosting my confidence for my first time on the road and freeway. However Tony was unfriendly and made me wait in the office for ten minutes after my appointment time without acknowledging me, while he made calls with other people. I've had better experience at another driving school.

He was very patient and gave me professional advice on how to be a safe driver. My license was sent to me in a timely manner. I would recommend Road Ready Driving School.

Negative experience: I have to be honest! The driving test went good,only good thing I can say. Timing he’s not good with! He tells you to be there at 3:30.... to get there on time and the door is locked because he’s eating! We waited 10 mins at the door before he came. We Had to go back to get some more paperwork and envelope sealed .... let me remind you he opens up at 10. We called him and told him we were headed over to get everything... to get there he’s not there! So we sit there for a hour to see if he would show... HE NEVER DID! We called him and he says come back at 3:30 after we talked to him at 10 that morning saying we were headed over and got the okay from him!! I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go to this place. Idc if he is cheaper!

Fantastic experience: I've taken the Basic Driving Course with Road Ready Driving to prepare for my first driving exam, and I passed on my first attempt! The course was extremely helpful and it taught me a lot and what to expect in my driving exam and which route I will be taking when doing my exam. There is a ton of useful information that I haven't been aware of and it gave me a leg up in my driving exam. Fantastic experience: My daughter was a student of this school. She was a little timid. The instructor was very patient and gave her good guidance. She felt very comfortable . One day her ride could not drop her off at class and the school came to pick her up. Such a great instructor! Much thanks for putting my baby girl at ease!!!!!! Great school, very professional and makes you feel welcomed. Looking forward to sending my nephew.
