Fantastic experience: I would completely recommend Horizon Drivers Ed to anyone who is looking to learn how to drive. They are small business in a shared office space. I had Rachel as my instructor the whole time. She was patient, even tempered, understanding, and fun. I liked how she would give me tips on what to look for when parking and merging into other lanes. Anytime there was a sticky situation she would calming assist or take over. I would recommend booking an hour lesson right before your driving test if you go through the third party tester. It really helped to have that lesson and be able to driving around Clackamas. I wasn’t as nervous when it came to the test because of that.

Fantastic experience: I took 4 lessons with Kadir and passed my driving test 1st try. If you have no prior experience driving I’d recommend 5-6 lessons. Kadir is good at teaching, but even better at helping you overcome mental hurdles (anxiety,fear,ect)

Fantastic experience: Adult learner here. Racheal was my instructor and she was wonderful to learn from. I paid for the ten hour package. I started off feeling very nervous as I had no driving experience prior to these lessons. Racheal put me completely at ease (and was a blast to talk to!). In the first lesson, I went from parking lot driving to driving on side streets and main roads. In my final sessions, 3 weeks later, I was driving comfortably on the freeway. I passed my drive test first time through! Thanks Racheal!!!!

Positive experience: Could use some work on punctuality, but overall very high quality instruction and very understanding and patient instructors. When you take your test you’ll be glad you invested in your own driving record with Horizon.

Fantastic experience: They are the best if you want to get your license. They adapt to their clients' schedules and on the day of the appointment for the test they go with you and help you with everything until you pass the exam and they even warm you up by practicing before the exam. I went through all the instructors and they are all super good especially Rachael and Mohamed. I recommend them 100%. You won't regret it!!

Fantastic experience: very Indian place and employees! it took me a couple appointments to get the hang of communication because I'm autistic, but Kadir eventually got it too and he was a very good teacher! after I scheduled my drive test at the DMV, I passed it first try!! Kadir is very friendly and he did the driving instruction and also helped me do all the DMV stuff as well :) they don't actually do the drive tests, but Kadir helped me schedule one and let me warm up a little bit by driving myself there. overall very good experience, would recommend!!

Fantastic experience: I would definitely recommend Horizon Driver Education to any driver who wants to learn and build confidence. They are very patient and always accommodating with scheduling. My son had 4 lessons and I liked that Horizon always asked what specifically we wanted to focus on. He passed his drivers test with a 97 out of 100!

Fantastic experience: I never thought I would ever drive, and never planned to learn. I have always been scared to learn and just thought it was too dangerous. After completing my permit I was recommended to sign up with Horizon Driver Education. I was again still hesitant… here I am finally having passed the driving test all thanks to Horizon. I can’t thank them enough, they were very patient and understanding of my fear but pushed me each lesson to get more comfortable. Even on the day of the test, they walked me into the appointment and helped me practice 1 hour before the actual test. I highly recommend Horizon Driver Education especially if you can… work with Dadir!!! Again can’t thank them enough and highly recommend !!!

Fantastic experience: Great experience, I got around 6 l lessons then scheduled my driving appointment. The classes were smooth and flexible, my coach was well informed and motivated me, which made driving easier as it is a mental barrier at first. All around good experience.

Fantastic experience: I learned to drive from Kadir and he was an incredible driving coach! At first, I had a lot of anxiety when getting onto the road and he really eased me into the experience. He was honest, but friendly and easy to get along with. He was also very patient and supported me through the driving process up to the minute before the exam! He has helpful tips and tricks to help sharpen drivers skills and gives special attention to areas of growth in order to really help you improve. I would 100% recommend the drivers school for ANYONE especially those with driving anxiety and it was the most affordable course from all the ones I researched!!!

I really wanted to actually get on the road so I decided to seek out a driving school and Horizon Driver Ed gave me a great experience. Fantastic experience: These lessons were amazing helpful. I had some driving experience, but not enough to feel nearly confident enough to take the test. I ended up having Kadir and Shane as my instructors, mostly Kadir. Their input was fantastically helpful and they were very open to focusing on areas I felt weakest with on top of the areas that they noticed as needing improvement. I passed the driving test, and the 1 hour of practice they offer prior to the testing was a great way to work out the nervousness that had built up. My wife has also noticed a dramatic improvement in my capabilities. I am super appreciative of their help with finally completing this goal.

Fantastic experience: This is a very great drivers school. The owner is really nice and helpful. Shane and Kadir really took their time to safely teach me how to drive and now I feel good about parking and driving on the highway. I am now confident that I will pass my test.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience with Horizon Driver Education and their instructor Kadir. I never got my license when I was a teenager. Twenty years later, and after eight driving lessons, I passed my driving test easily and now enjoy driving, all thanks to Kadir. He was kind, calm, encouraging, and funny; he put me at ease, took my driving anxiety, and gave me confidence and good advice as I was learning. He also did a final drill with me shortly before my driving test, which was great. Scheduling was also a breeze – I work full-time, which Horizon accommodated with great flexibility. All in all, I am so glad I pulled the trigger and finally took real driving lessons. It made a world of difference.

Fantastic experience: Mohamed was a great instructor and was a helpful, calm, and positive presence. I went in with previous practice, but wasn't feeling confident about taking the test and had a lot of anxiety. In one session, he coached me on the specifics of the test and helped me build enough confidence to take the test the next week, which I passed!

Fantastic experience: I had a really great experience! I've dealt with a huge fear of driving and the instructor Kadir was a very calm presence who did a great job reassuring me. I started Jan 2024 terrified and now in Feb 2024 I passed my driving test first try and significantly more at ease. Learning how to drive has made me a lot more confident in myself, which I am very grateful for! The scheduling is also very easy :)

Negative experience: bad experience, my first class was good with Mohamed, but the second time I was waiting for kadir for 30 minutes he never showed up, if it continues like this I will want my money back.

Fantastic experience: I signed up as an adult driver and took a few lessons a week with Mr Mohammad. The teaching I received was super clear and easy to understand as we worked up from slower speeds to highway driving, learning about road signs & driving etiquette along the way. I passed my test first time! you won’t even realise as you’re learning but the horizon team will overprepare you so that by the time you do your test you’ll feel super confident and be completely ready to drive anytime thereafter. Fantastic experience: I passed my test with ease on the first try thanks to Mohamed and the team at Horizon! I’ve been terrified of driving for most of my adult life and was able to make do with trimet, walking, and biking for over fifteen years. I had a baby in the last year though and knew it was time for me to get over this fear so that we could get out and do fun things together without the additional stress and time of navigating public transit. I was so scared that I cried before my first lesson, but Mohamed immediately put me at ease as we slowly eased into driving in the road by starting worth a full hour and a half in safe parking lot (this is what I needed to build confidence). In subsequent lessons we navigated some of Portland's busiest roads like 82nd, division, & 122nd, practiced on neighborhood streets, focused on all types of parking, did highway driving, and even did a full lesson of windy country road driving. We concluded with some drills practicing for the test. I am so happy to have this skill now and enjoyed my lessons getting here. Mohamed is sweet, but direct in his feedback which is just what I needed. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I was in a car accident about 8 years ago as a passenger and have been pretty scared of driving ever since. I finally got up the courage this year to start learning, and I am beyond happy that I choose Horizon Driver Education. Everyone I drove with was very helpful, patient, and explained everything so thoroughly. I signed up for the 10 hrs plus the 2 hrs for DMV testing. After my first lesson, I already felt more comfortable being on actual city roads, and by the time I was ready to take my test, I had practiced everything from downtown driving to freeways. I was very prepared for my DMV test and Mohamed even went above and beyond the day of my test to make sure it was all taken care of and I could get my license. I could not recommend this program more, I am finally a confident driver after years of being so scared of it and I am so so grateful for all the help from Horizon Driver Education!

Fantastic experience: Excellent session. Did an adult lesson as I've had a license but almost never use it and get nervous thinking about driving in fast-flowing traffic. We moved naturally from refreshing on the basics to navigating more challenging conditions and I walked away with a lot more confidence on the road as well as some solid tips for continuing to improve.

I went in as an adult looking for some scheduled driving practice before taking my first-ever driver's test, and every session I had helped me get the mechanics and regular feel for driving much quicker than I had imagined. Their style of instruction really gets you prepared for taking the test, especially if you are planning to take it in the city. I was able to pass easily on the first try thanks to this instruction and practice. Incredibly accommodating, incredibly cool people and expert teachers. Worth your time and business.

Fantastic experience: Our 16 year old daughter went through driving school at Horizon and I could not be more pleased with the organization, efficiency and time that Mohamed gave to her and seemingly all the students.
