Every time we call, somebody picks up right away, answers all our questions, is friendly and always knowledgeable. Communication was always impeccable. Every appointment I ever made was easy to make and was always kept. Most of all, my son’s driving instructor, Tony D. was prompt, professional, knowledgeable, skillful, supportive, kind & patient. Fantastic experience: I had a handful of instructors here, I took road test first time and failed, then took more lessons with my incredible instructor Tony, and passed just on Monday Morning. Tony is a great instructor who made me comfortable behind the wheel with his comedy and good understanding of the road. Thank you formula 1!!! Positive experience: Already had pre-existing driving experience, but Formula One helped me build my confident and driving skills on more difficult roads/situations. Passed the road test on my first try. Only issue is it is hard to reschedule/find times that work because they are so busy

Fantastic experience: I purchased a 10 package lesson and I'm so happy with my decision & the outcome. Initially I had one instructor who I personally felt wasn't the most polite & I even almost felt he didn't like me which is crazy. I decided I would ask to switch and try someone else (I should say I didn't let them know of my feelings with the first instructor). Mark was the instructor they put me with after the first person and OMG it made all the difference. He is literally amazing. He helped me build confidence and taught me so much. I passed my test and it's all thanks to him. I'd like to also state that I'm in my early 30s and never felt the need to learn to drive up until recently & so I was really scared at first. I'm grateful to Mark & Formula One. When I first called about the lessons I spoke with the owner & she was beyond helpful. Every time after that when I would call to schedule a lesson the girls that answered were accommodating & very professional. Great experience aside from the initial hiccup. I would certainly recommend them & I'd like to add that if you feel put off by your instructor ask to try someone else. You are paying for lessons for yourself or a family member & it's ok to switch to someone who would be better for your journey in learning to drive.

Fantastic experience: I choose Formula based on review, and bought the 10 hours package with pre-licensing course. My experience was prefect. Office support was great. They answered all my questions and arranged lessons perfectly. My instructor Mark was very experienced, patient and encouraging, giving me confidence for the road test. I enjoyed all the lessons and would definitely recommend Formula to others.

Fantastic experience: I recently moved to White Plains from the city and was not a driver. I saw Formula Driving school from the train station at Mamaroneck on my daily commute and decided to pull the trigger. I worked with Mark and felt comfortable behind the wheel from day one with his guidance. He is patient, calm & a great driving teacher. I booked a package of 10 and had one extra lesson before my road test and passed. I highly recommend him & Formula Driving school.

Fantastic experience: I took driving lessons with Mark and a few with Victor. They were and are both amazing instructors! They helped me with everything I needed to know for my road test and they were extremely patient, nice, chill, and encouraging. Not to mention they also helped me with parking in parking lots and lane changing. I am a very sensitive and nervous person/driver, so they were the perfect ones for me with their levels of patience and niceness. Today I took my road test and passed on the 1st try! Thanks to Mark and Victor for helping me along the way! I totally recommend this driving school. I also 100% recommend those two instructors if you are sensitive and/or nervous like me.

Negative experience: Instructors did not teach me a single thing. What a waist of money. I was paying $75 for a 45 minute lesson and learnt absolutely nothing. They had no motivation, no interest in teaching me anything at all. I changed several instructors but each time it was just getting worse. One of them was utterly rude and I was even scared to ride with him in the car. I waisted all that money for nothing, failed my test but luckily my coworker friend helped me and explained things in a clear way. He did not charge me a penny and I passed my test thanks to him. Again. what a sad experience and what a complete waist of money

Took many a lesson with the instructor Mark who helped me understand what I was doing wrong as well as presented me with clean and precise solutions. He spoke in great deal as to what was on the test as well as practices that should be taken on the road in general. I would most definitely recommend this driving school to anyone looking to obtain their license, I know I'll be telling my younger brother about it!

Fantastic experience: My son did the 15 lesson package and passed the road test first time. He really liked Jose his driving instructor and much preferred driving with him than with me. Jose picked him up from home and dropped him off at school in the mornings which was very convenient and always gave him a few minutes extra. Overall, very happy. Expectations exceeded.

Fantastic experience: I was referred by a colleague when I moved from the city to the burbs. I have been a city gal all my life and never had to learn how to drive since there was always a train or bus that would take me where I needed to go. As I got older the need to learn was replaced by fear and anxiety. When I called the school the front desk person was understanding & immediately put me at ease. She set me up with my instructor Manny who was awesome! He is patient and very knowledgeable. He knows how to explain his lessons with easy step by step instructions. I started by learning how to make only right turns on my first lesson to Acing the Road test on the first try! Each week my nervousness slowly disappeared and I am a confident safe driver now. I feel very accomplished that I faced this fear at 41 yrs. old. I would definitely recommend this driving school and I'm sure all the instructors are great but I can only speak for Manny and if you are like me I highly suggest you ask for him.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic organization! My 17 year old daughter passed her road test after 10 hours of driving with Victor - he was patient, calm, arrived a few minutes early and spent the entire hour with her. Highly recommend you let Formula One schedule and take them to the road test as well - on the day of the road test, the driver will run through the entire road test before arriving at the site. And your student is using the same car in which they were practicing during the sessions!

Fantastic experience: I have used this company for both of my children. They are very professional and understand that the mother is terrified. I booked everything through them the 5hr the test and both my children had the same instructor Ira. He is wonderful man with a lot of patience. I know he was the reason both of them pass their tests. I feel so lucky that I was paired with Henry as my instructor. He was both very patient and hysterically funny. The lessons were pricey but worth every penny. And reception was super friendly, too!

Fantastic experience: I do not understand what has been irking those who gave such low reviews for this location. I frown upon the absence of detail in explanations with low scores, it harms a business that doesn't deserve low blows. I have had a wonderful experience so far. Prime location: a short walk from the local train station. Attentive and supportive office staff: consistently reminding me of my next lesson, being flexible when needed, encouraging me as I have worked to improve my driving, and providing tips. Everyone will have different experiences with an instructor, yet I'd recommend communicating with whomever they get in a dialogue: listen to them, ask questions, and observe them when stuck. I have had a patient instructor who has been helping me learn over time. Having not grown up with a car and with this school being my only chance to practice behind the wheel I am amazed at the progress I have made to this point. Formula One will help me get my license and I hope this school can continue to help other people get theirs as well. For the record, I did get my license with Formula Driving School!
