Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience at this driving school! The schedule accommodation was amazing, and flexible, and I had no issues at all scheduling my test. I’m incredibly grateful for the support I received from Master Mr. Lin. He was extremely patient with me throughout the process and immediately helped me work on any skills I felt needed improvement. I highly recommend this school and Mr. Lin for anyone looking to get their driver's license!

Fantastic experience: The best driving school in Brooklyn! The scheduling was perfect and the driving instructor, Johnny, was very patient and helpful! Qing was excellent in scheduling my lessons and my driving exam. I was able to pass on my first try thanks to them! I am very grateful for them!

Negative experience: I am international in NY and I knew how to drive my only concern was to learn the toad test rules because here is so different with my home country. I had 2 lessons and road test with this driving school. During the lessons the instructor did not teach me properly how the NY road rules are regarding observation, look over my shoulder, potential hazard, how many second I need to stop on a all way stop sign where is the difference between all stop and only stop. Also he could barely speak english and I barely understood him. He did not teach me how to look for potential hazard when parking. I went today to another driving school and with one lesson the instructor explain me everything. Later on I came to Carson driving school again to explain my points too. I paid and they didn’t told me everything and the lady at the desk was a little bit rude because she was saying it was my fault that I failed. I didn’t went to blame anybody but just to get a discount for another road test. She refused and said I need to pay in full. Now I need to repay another driving school for lessons and road test. I don’t recommend because I paid and they didn’t teach me nothing so now I am paying another driving school for lessons and road test.

I discovered this school and it was one of the best and cheapest. They give you the full time for the lesson, which is 60 minutes, unlike other schools. Negative experience: Save your time and money and go somewhere else. I honestly regret choosing this school. I wouldn’t even give it one star because it’s just not worth it. While my friends passed their driving tests after only 5–7 lessons at other schools, I had to go through 13 lessons here and I failed. The whole experience was frustrating and felt like a waste of time and money. The instructor didn’t seem interested in teaching me properly, and I was left unprepared for the road test. Don’t make the same mistake I did; look for a driving school that genuinely wants you to succeed.

Fantastic experience: I am 30 years old and I have never driven in my life. I started learning how to drive from 0 with Carson Driving School and got 28 lessons. I managed to pass my Road Test from 1st try with 15points. Entire school staff were friendly and helpful. Always responsive , the instructor was strict and explained all road rules clearly. By 15-20lessons I started feeling confident and passed my road test without feeling nervous as I was confident about my knowledge.

Positive experience: Bad experience. Teacher didn't look interested to teach. Mostly time I drove straight. I asked him to drive in more traffic, more often turn left, right on on traffic lights. I already failed my road test and I know my weak point. But I was ignored, just driving straight almost all the time. I asked many times to teach me a parallel parking. The instructor told later, not here. And finally we made only 1 Parallel parking and the instructor told the lesson is finished. But why all the lesson we wasted driving straight? Instead of making parking and turning on the traffic lights? It looked like he wanted to pass 1 hour with minimum efforts, waiting for the end of the lesson. And the instructor has strong Chinese(?) accent , very difficult to understand what he said. I gave 3 points instead of 2 just because of the price. It's the cheapest place in NYC, 40$ for 60 minutes

Positive experience: The instructor was constructive and provides good feedback. The school is considerate to the times if you need a change of schedule and gives long hours to practice your driving, which was helpful. Allowing me to pass my driving test my first try. However, the school does provide good instructions but it’s on how you feel within the car.

Fantastic experience: If you're looking for a driving school to go to, definitely try out Carson Driving School! It was super easy to book and schedule lessons with the receptionist (with text or call)! She was polite, helpful, and very accommodating to my schedule. She also scheduled the road test for me at the Seaview site. If anything were to happen, she would be the first to let me know. (Found out I passed the test from her first before I had a chance to check!) Bought the lesson plan + 2 road test combo. Each lesson is 1 hr 30 mins long and cost about $45/50 per lesson which is pretty affordable compared to other nearby schools. (You can also get a small discount if you buy the combo/more classes). What is good about the road test combo is that if you fail the first one, you still have a year to use your second road test and they provide you with the car that you practice with. My first instructor (Jimmy) was amazing and encouraging! He taught me how to drive from scratch and built many good habits that I needed to take the test. I wasn't able to pass the test the first time but I was only a few points off passing. My second instructor (Johnny) was very patient and attentive. He helped hone my driving skills and structured lessons around my weak points. Driving with Johnny made me more confident and I passed my second road test! Both instructors are punctual and speak English & Cantonese. I recommended this school to my sister and she also passed the first time she took the test from them. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I would definitely recommend this driving school. I was scared at first because I didn’t want a teacher that would be yelling at me and being mean. However, I got really close with my driving teacher because he is SUPER nice and will take the time out to explain anything I don’t understand. He is super friendly and patient. Anything that I didn’t understand, he would explain it and try to show me the best he can so that I could understand it. He never once made me feel upset or anything because he was just always trying to crack some jokes to make me less nervous while making sure I was able to understand everything. He gave me a lot of freedom in what I wanted to practice, making sure I get the most out of it. He also encouraged me and complimented me in things that I was able to do correctly. The only reason I was able to pass my test on the first try was definitely because of how patient he was with me! I am beyond grateful. I was also kind of upset right after my driving test because I was super nervous and didn’t think I did too well, but he was there and continued encouraging me, thinking more on the positive side, cracking jokes to make me less upset. I definitely recommend!!!

Wing was my instructor and he was very patient and knowledgeable. I was able to brush up on my Cantonese while learning how to drive. Highly recommend!
