Fantastic experience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Truck Driving School – Highly Recommend! I had a really good experience at this truck driving school. The instructors are knowledgeable, patient, and actually care about making sure you understand everything. They take the time to explain things clearly, whether it’s pre-trip inspections, backing maneuvers, or road driving. The hands-on training is solid, and they give you plenty of time behind the wheel to build confidence. The environment is professional but also friendly, which makes learning a lot easier. They also guide you through the CDL process and give helpful tips for passing the test. If you’re looking for a reliable truck school that truly prepares you for the road, this is definitely a great place to train. I’m really glad I chose this school, and I’d recommend it to anyone serious about getting their CDL!

Fantastic experience: I went to this school back in 2018 to get my CDL and man I can tell you that these people are very professionals and they teach you right. I would recommend it 13 out of 10. I don't know if they have new teachers but the ones I had were the best.

Fantastic experience: I did my school with a third party but I did my testing at National with Instructor Rob. Rob is very helpful in making the driving test more of a routine drive then a test. Super insightful on the mechanics on how to be a good CDL Driver. Feel free to ask him anything that comes to mind during any part of the inspection and he will give you a straight answer. This was my experience. Cheers.

Fantastic experience: Everything about this school is great. We employ people who love their profession and are experts in their field. The teachers are real experts. I recommend the school to those who want to study for a CDL.

Fantastic experience: To all who want to learn to obtain your CDL, I highly recommend this school. Before I start, I am a business owner in the construction field. I.e Heavy civil, small parking lots and anything in between with 16 yrs of experience. I’m also a former military member who was a tanker. So needless to say, I have plenty of heavy equipment experience, and I also held a CDL in the military. I’m doing this for personal and business reasons. With that being said, if there’s one thing I can advise students, that would be to exercise patience with yourself, patience with others and patience with the instructors. But there is a point that is also equally important, and that is to set aside your ego. The instructors are there to help, guide and assist you to be a competent CDL holder. Not only is the school’s reputation on the line, but their personal reputation is on the line as well. They are federally regulated, so again, be patient, they will not steer you wrong. Thank you to not only the office staff, but the staff in the field who has endless knowledge about the industry. Much appreciated.

Fantastic experience: I had the best experience at this school. Drew, Jeff, Bill, & John are awesome instructors they all helped me to get my CDL A. They will help you to achieve your goal as long as you put in the dedication and have a positive mind set. The day of my test my examiner was Robert. He was excellent. I was very nervous He helped to ease my nerves. He was very helpful, during the entire testing process and patient . So grateful he was my examiner. I also, would like to give a shout out Kayla she works in the office and will help you with job placement or any other concern, you may have about your future career. I cannot say enough about this school. I really enjoyed my experience there and the awesome staff.

Negative experience: Thank you for saying you appreciate my business. I would like to tell you that it was unfair for y’all to just take my money. Yes, I need a third-party tester, but it did not give you any rate for your examiner ( Robert Bilonick) to lie and say I did not pass my pre-trip. You can FaceTime me anytime you want and I could do the pre-trip for you. Your examiner is a liar he’s taking people money he knows I passed that pre-trip and I also passed my break Test and the in cab but I know it’s his word against mine and y’all are going to take his side and I read your reviews. I am not the first one who said that that man has Lie and said that they did not pass a pre-trip You really need to watch out because there is going to be a person that is going to expose y’all for taking people money there’s no way I would’ve came down there and spent $450 if I did not know my pre-trip , I drove all the way from Georgia to come and take that test and if you want FaceTime me, I will prove him wrong. I know what I know he is a liar. he’s going to be expose and y’all are going to go down with him Thank you and God bless

Fantastic experience: Great school! I got my CDL with them back in 2016 and had a blast doing it. My brother got his CDL through them and now my boyfriend is attending the same school. He seems to be happy with all the instructors and having a good time learning. Keep up the good work guys. I will continue to recommend you to anyone the ask me for advice on a good CDL school or heavy equipment training. Don’t let the bad reviews deter you. Some folks just aren’t cut out for Trucking.

Negative experience: Went here on 11/29 had rob for my examiner on my pre trip first the truck we started with wouldn’t crank needed primed offered to do he said no switched me to a old freight liner then did my air brake test and failed because buttons didn’t release I mentioned the issue before concluding my test he said it was fine then failed me on it I reached out to discuss my issues and never got a response .. all I wanted was a re test with a different examiner because rob was impatient and rude also argued/fuss with me over the ac compressor and alternator telling me I pointed at the compressor calling it an alternator I offered to go prove him wrong he said no I’m confident unlike you .. I do not suggest this place at all I had several issues with the old truck and he didn’t care one bit and I pointed out every issue and he said it was fine then used it against me.. 0 stars just selected 1 cause I had to in order to leave a review

Fantastic experience: This school is probably the finest in the country, where one can get a license to drive a semi truck, a box truck, and/or train to operate heavy equipment. I am a former student and instructor and I can attest to the training program. The instructors have hundreds of years of experience and they are patient with you. They do not treat you like a recruit in the military. The management team are professional and they are helpful in getting you signed up. The general manager,Mr. Andrew and the training manager, Mr. Mike, are great to work with and they are eager that you suceed! There are companies that come into the school, ready to hire you as soon as you graduate. Some students are already pre hired by companies before they even leave. The school has a private track, so that you are not exposed to real traffic until you are ready. If you want to make great money, drive nice looking semi trucks, or operate big Heavy equipment, this is the school you need to go to!

Positive experience: I did the heavy equipment training which was very fun and taught me a lot. I thought getting my NCCER# would be a big deal, but it seems like no one actually knows what that is. The instructors were great, but $12k out of my pocket hurt me. I am grateful I got to attend, but I kind of wish I could have just worked up from a labor to an operator. Good place to start out if you don’t actually know if you’d like being an operator or not if it is payed by scholarship or something else, don’t pay out of your pocket.

Fantastic experience: I got my class A cdl back in 2013 here. Every other trucking school barely gets you road training. I did road training with this school every other day for 6 hours!! On the other day i did of all of the backing styles that can possibly be on the testing for 6 hours again. Then at the end of 6 hours of either driving or backing i went to class and did 2 hours there. Looking back now as a seasoned driver, i can clearly say that this is the best school available!! There is also a road track on site that has lots of valuable simulations that i use daily like railroad crossings and so forth.

Negative experience: BEWARE ASPIRING TRUCK DRIVERS!!! I do not advise taking your skills test and road test through National. I was just set up for absolute failure. The gentleman administering the tests, completely failed to tell me the exact boundaries during the ally doc, which resulted in me failing (as any new driver would). The boundary that is perpendicular to the ally doc, is jagged and allows for a wider turn after initiating in reverse. I verified with the instructor before hand, and his exact words were “the three cones are your boundary for that side”, which implies that you do not go past the three cones (when in reality you can and must go past them after the initial 10 feet or so, using the reversing techniques I learned in training... which apparently are very different than what National teaches). After failing the ally doc, which is virtually impossible to pass without being aware of the ACTUAL boundary, I was sent home with a “better luck next time” attitude. The instructor should have admitted to his false instruction and allowed me to take the test the right way, under the CORRECT instruction. I think it’s very possible that this was done to me on purpose. In any case I will be copying and pasting this review to every site I possibly can to ensure others know to steer clear from testing here. I will also be reporting this school’s incompetency to the better business bureau. $450.00 is an awful lot of money to be cheating people out of. I’m not one to leave bad reviews but I feel this one is a very necessary effort to warn others.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely worth the money. The training I received was thorough and relevant. The Instructors were very candid, and knowledgeable with an answer for every question. I took the CDL Now course. I was in the 7/20-8/20 Class. The material if you're willing to learn is easily understood. The actual hands on time was very beneficial, I was fortunate enough to be in a small class which greatly increased seat time. My overall experience was awesome.. I definitely recommend this school if your on the fence where to go...choose National Training.

Fantastic experience: I was very impressed with all the instructors! I hold tons of licenses and certifications, but this one, getting my CDL, IS MY FAVORITE ACCOMPLISHMENT! This school and all the instructors are top notch. My class was 5 weeks long and it took all 5 to get me where I could do everything they had to teach and build the confidence in me to pass my State exam THE FIRST TIME! I loved every minute of this class and my classmates! QUALITY AT ITS BEST! P.S. They offer financial aid so absolutely NO EXCUSES why anyone can't learn how to drive the big rigs.

Jay Stought 8 years ago

Negative experience: I went there in 2009, Most instructors were good except the instructor who taught maneuvering skills who only taught you Once how to do the maneuver, then sat on his behind under an umbrella and wouldnt lift a finger to help you afterwards. The trucks were junk. Very hard to shift. The loan was $3000. Afterwards I learned no companies were hiring drivers who lived in Florida. I was unable to continue making payments. After 8 years later they reported that I had gotten a $14,000 loan with them and didn't pay. That's fraud.

Negative experience: NTI, A "HAS BEEN" SCHOOL. The school starts with sixty online courses that seem to have been written by a fifth grader. You'll find misspellings, idiotic grammar and irrelevant courses to be a heavy equipment operator. Once arriving at the school you will see it has fallen into despair. The guard shack in disrepair is the first sign of what to come. Weeds growing over the guard shack and interior dangling insight. You will drive a short distance to school building and also find it in a dilapidated state. Weeds growing tall, laying palm branches, spider webs dangling everywhere and semis in despair greet you at the school. You will be scolded for walking on grass. What a joke. Then starting class you will find out all of the instructors have quit in the past year. Leaving fill ins. Including the school mechanic as an instructor. He teaches you how to nap with back up alarms screaming. All of the equipment that is owned by the school is also in despair. Missing grab handles, faulty back up alarms and lack of preventative maintenance. Only equipment leased is in 100% safe running order. You will be in groups of three for the resident training. Please bring a chair, reading material and try to find shade (or find a better school). Pieces of equipment will NOT be getting used but you will NOT be permitted to use it. Not sure why we are paying for it. Also be ready for an hour wait in between your operating times. You will NOT train with any real world scenarios. Merely dig trenches with the backhoe and excavator (mini and medium). All training on bucketed machines will be flat dragging the ground and moving piles of dirt for days. SUPER Exciting. Then at the end of every day you will grease the equipment you have ran. (school mechanic should do this instead of napping) The last couple hours of everyday will be back in the classroom going over information you have already studied from the sixty online courses. Mind numbing videos from the 70s will fill most of your class time. THERE WILL BE NO JOB PLACEMENT MERELY INTERNET SITES EMAILED TO YOU FOR RANDOM AREAS AND JOBS , SOME NOT EVEN BEING OPERATOR JOBS. Expect to find your own job. School costs $7845. Real cost of school no more then $4000. I FEEL ROBBED. Jay is great and Jim is helpful.
