He has a lot of great tips and helps reframe complex maneuvers into digestible techniques. I highly recommend this driving school.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Polar Driving School to all beginners! I recently completed the adult waiver course with Gabriel, who was both friendly and professional. He taught me valuable driving skills and helped me become familiar with the main roads in my neighborhood. The receptionist is also very kind and patient. Thanks to their support, I passed my test and received my license in just a few weeks. This is by far the best experience I’ve had with any driving school!

Fantastic experience: I just completed my driving lessons with Ligia. I felt so glad to have a mentor like her. She is so comforting, patient and good with teaching the techniques and skill. I had to wait a week more to have the lessons scheduled due to a long waiting time but it was all worth it. I would highly recommend taking the lessons with Pola driving school especially if you are beginner and looking for trainer who is good at techniques and skills and patient at the same time. It was a great experience.

Fantastic experience: Gabriel was an incredibly patient and knowledgable instructor. The school may take some time to schedule your classes, but once the schedule is set, they are very prompt with communicating any changes/updates. I found the longer lessons to be immensely helpful, and I felt that I improved so much after taking the classes.

Fantastic experience: I grew up overseas and never needed to drive and then I moved to New York City at 18 and didn’t need to drive with having access to public transportation. After seven years of living in the city, I moved to DC for school and still didn’t need to learn to drive because I had the metro but when I moved to Arlington and was expecting a child later that year, I thought it was time to learn. Pola driving school was a great experience to learn to drive as I was very nervous at 28 years old to start the skill. They were very accommodating with scheduling my lessons and picked me up and dropped me home. The real credit to my success though goes to my driving instructor: Gabriel. I highly recommend you ask for him to be your teacher. He changed my perspective on driving from fear to enjoyment and helped me pass my test. Thanks so much!

Fantastic experience: School is great and instructor is really helpful, I love all of my instructor's tips. I know for sure that noone else would give me so many good advices. One Important thing, dont choose this school if you are in a hurry, bc it will make you mad. They probably wont have any free time for your classes right after you applied. If you are ok to wait for a month or so you will be satisfied for 100%. Be patient and instructor in this school will teach you everything you need to know.

Fantastic experience: Gabrielle was my instructor and he was awesome. I had driven before, but I had not driven in about 5 years. I had a lot of anxiety about driving again, but Gabrielle made me feel relaxed and really helped ease my anxiety around driving. He pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me build back up my confidence. I am very grateful to have had a patient instructor who helped build back up my confidence on the road.

Fantastic experience: My teen had Keith as her instructor. He was a fantastic teacher. He made sure to teach her what to do if the car hydroplanes. About 4 months after completing her class she hydroplaned on i395! Thanks to Keith she knew what to do and was scared but safe. I am so grateful to Keith!

Negative experience: This school is just disgusting i would never recommend this school to anyone they only concern about getting your money. The instructor will never come on time they don't value your time once they get your money they don't care about anything else. And at the end they will tell you o you are not ready yet you need more practice and they want to get more money from you. In my case I got my driving license from DMV right after they denied to give me my driving license . That's why I would never recommended this disgusting driving school to anyone.

At first, there were difficulties booking my driving lessons because they have a large waiting list and scheduling conflicts. But once I started my classes (3 classes 1:30 hours instruction), the instructor said was very reassuring and informative. Strongly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Honestly one of the best experiences I’ve had! Doing the online course was hard but it definitely helped later on. The lady at the front desk was always helpful every time I called and had questions. Gabriel was my behind the wheel instructor and he was amazing! He definitely has a lot of patients and made me feel really comfortable. He corrected me when it was needed and let me know when I did a great job! I definitely recommend this place 100%

Fantastic experience: As someone who did not have much experience on the road I was pretty nervous about going to driving school. I wanted to find a place that would push and encourage me to be the best driver I could be and Pola Driving School did not disappoint. Their secretary was nice, polite, and helpful. They do their best to work around your schedule and find the time that best works for you. They are great at communicating with their customers while trying their best to make the customer happy. My instructor, Ligia did an amazing Job at teaching the information on the book. She always made sure we understood everything we needed to know and gave great examples. My behind the wheel instructor, Gabriel could not have done a better job. He was very professional, supportive, Friendly, and overall a very cool dude. He allowed me to open up and feel positive about my driving. He is a pro at what he does and will make sure that you are comfortable and understand how everything works. There was never a dull moment with him. He even influenced me to change my perspective on things in my personal life which I am forever grateful for. So if you’re looking for the perfect driving school, search no longer and head to Pola Driving School. 10/10 would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I just want to say that if you live in this area this is the best driving school! Pola has a very nice staff that always communicates and arranges changes in schedule. They're very flexible with timing. I am an adult student who finally saved up enough to do the road test waiver. Ligia was my road instructor and I am thankful she taught me so much. Even though I have never been behind the wheel and was nervous, I successfully passed. She was calm and attentive, always giving constructive feedback before and after lessons. Even during COVID-19 they kept everything safe and clean during classroom and driving lessons which is a relief. If you are considering this driving school, please don't wait, call them! You won't regret it.

Fantastic experience: I enrolled in the Adult Waiver program and initially I was extremely nervous and very doubtful of my abilities behind the wheel. Gabriel was absolutely phenomenal in helping me learn how to drive and building up my confidence behind the wheel. He was patient and took his time explaining the do’s and don’ts of the road. There were a few touch and go moments where I didn’t think I would make it..lol but overall it was a GREAT experience and I am happy I chose Pola driving school. Excellent customer service and they genuinely want to see you succeed...can’t get much better than that!! Just remember if you there is a line at the stop sign ALWAYS stop at the line Thank you again!!

Negative experience: I would not recommend this driving school to anyone, I got their book to study from and they gave out practice tests that had nothing to do with the book. I then emailed them for the chapter tests and they send you a really bad quality picture of the test where some of the answers are even blurred out. This driving school isn’t worth your time and money.

At every stage of lessons, both classroom and on the road, Pola Driving School treated me to a professional, personalized and caring experience. I'm 35 and held off from driving for so long because I am 'high strung' and very anxious. I never thought I'd be able to do this but my instructor, Gabe, was the absolute perfect person to teach me. Not only to pass the test but to be confident and safe on the road. Pola driving school is a family business and that is a big plus in my book. Fantastic experience: Hace unas semanas empecé mis clases de manejo desde el primer día... me gustó la manera de explicar y de enseñar se que al principio es muy difícil... pero conforme las prácticas uno se empieza a sentir segura en las calles... obviamente por el personal calificado que tienen... en mi caso estoy muy feliz y agradecida por todo lo que aprendí por la pasciencia tan grande que tuvo mi instructora... y por cada corrección tan detallada que tenía conmigo.... jamás creí que andaría manejando... obviamente poniendo en práctica todas las correcciones... y tratando de ser mejor conductora... recomiendo demasiado esta escuela... me súper encanto y estoy súper agradecida por todo lo que me enseñaron.... obtuve mi certificado... de aquí en adelante la responsabilidad es mía.... manejando con precaucion!!!! Fantastic experience: Best decision I ever made was to sign up for the adult waiver driving classes with Pola Driving School. My instructor was Ligia and she was amazing! So kind and patient with me as a first time driver. The skills she taught me were easy paced and so simplified in explanation, zero stress!! Best part was passing my driver's test and going to the DMV to get my picture taken. This is the absolute best driving school in the DMV hands down. I have been suggesting them to friends and family since day 1. I was very impressed and the whole course exceeded my expectations. If you need any classes definitely go with Pola because you will be 100% satisfied. They also speak spanish so that is a huge plus for much of the community! :)

Fantastic experience: As an adult that works a 9 to 5 job, it's difficult to find the time for something like driving school, but Pola and I made it happen! I've had major driving anxiety for years, but at 30yrs old... I knew it was time to sign up for classes and get the confidence I needed to get on the road. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that VA offered adult waiver courses for driving, meaning you could do x-number of hours in the classroom and behind-the-wheel, followed by testing with your instructor. That's right... testing with your instructor! No DMV road test! Pola is certified for this waiver program and it was exactly what I wanted since I have test anxiety as well. My instructor was Gabriel. He's a great teacher ...he was patient and knowledgeable and when I made mistakes, he helped me to correct them. Since my pick-up & drop-off locations were near where I lived and worked, we drove in and around those areas for a couple of hours per lesson. This was especially beneficial to me, because these were the roads I would be driving on, so learning the intricacies of certain intersections helped prepare me for driving on my own. In total, all of my lessons lasted over 6 weeks or so. Signing up for the waiver program isn't your ticket to an automatic license. You have to be just as serious about learning as they are about teaching you... they're the ones that are going to share the roads with you, so why pass horrid, incompetent drivers? Despite my anxiety, I managed and I feel great! A plus is that they're about a 5 minute drive from the Four Mile Run DMV so I picked up my certification on a Saturday, went to the DMV, and one week later I have my license! I am most appreciative to Pola Driving School (shout out to Soledad who runs the show! She was so helpful with getting the ball rolling and handling the certification process at the end). Trust me... Pola could be the right choice for you... it was for me! I called around to other schools in the area, and the instructors sounded soo shady -- here I was, wanting to learn, and they just wanted to throw price tags at me. Mmmyeah, not the greatest impression, guys. I know this is a long review, but if you were like me... you're reading dozens of reviews for schools in the area and trying to find the ones giving real accounts of their experiences. Pola wasn't even on my radar at first, but I'm so glad I found them! *Note for anyone curious, they're fluent in both English & Spanish.

Fantastic experience: A happy student rating Pola Driving School a perfect score!! I have a foreign country driver's license, and had failed my DMV VA road test the first time when I decided to get some practice on the road with an instructor before taking the road test again. I am glad that my search led me to Pola Driving School. I gave them a call first, and the lady on then phone was very courteous. I opted for their 6 hour package; spread over three days, 2 hours each day. My instructor Ms. Pola promptly picked me up from my residence every day. She arrived ahead of time on all the three days. The first day she gave me a call, but expected me to wait for her arrival the next two days. It would be best if you are ready to meet her at your pick up spot when she arrives. She was very detailed while giving instructions, and really helped me up my game. She has a lot to teach if you are open to learning. The last day that she dropped me back, she even spent some extra time teaching me how to perfect my parking. Ms. Pola's guidance helped me pass my behind the wheel driving test the second time. The examiner even said that I was perfect! :)

Negative experience: I enrolled my daughter in this school and deliberately told them that she needed to get her licence in about 3 weeks time. At first they told us that the written portion would take her about 9 days but they thought they could do it. My daughter finished the written portion in 3 days. Then they told us that they wouldn't have anyone available to do the driving portion of the class for at least another week AND they'd have to ensure there was another student so ahe could observe as well as drive. In addition, they aren't giving the parent-teen class so I have to pay another school for that portion. I now am hoping they will give me the paper portion of her testing so I can enroll her in another school to ensure she gets the driving portion completed and her test scheduled without having to retest the classroom piece. Steer clear!

Fantastic experience: i first learned about the school from online. i was looking for a school with a femal instructor. i read the reviews and compared with a couple more schools. then i decided to go with Pola driving school. they are good. really really good. from my driving instructor to the nice young lady who works at the office. My teaching experience was great. i would absolutely recommend this school to anyone who wants to learn how to drive and park the car properly and easily. Thank you so much.

Yo en mi vida habia conducido un vehiculo y gracias a la paciencia, la confiana entregada y el conocimiento de la instructora (Ligia) logre el objetivo, cosa que para mi era casi inpensable,,, Estoy muy agradecida y recomiendo la escuela a todas las personas porque ademas de entregar el conocimiento y ayudarte para aprender a manejar, te ayudan a perder el miedo, te dan la confianza que necesitas para sentarte detras del volante y un monton de cosas mas y posteriormente se preocupan de como sigues con las practicas y todo lo que viene despues... Realmente les digo si yo pude creo que todos pueden... Estoy sumamente agradecida...

Fantastic experience: It's my first review, though no one ask me to do it, I still feel I'm obliged to write it since the experience is so great. I remember when I wanted to pick a driving school, I read all reviews concerned available on Yelp, Google, Tweeter and some local forums, I sometimes saw those start with "it's my first review but blah blah blah", at that time I thought they were fake, why so many people say it's their first review, but now it's my turn and I finally understand it's mainly because the whole experience is great and great service should get good review to encourage them to do even better, just like the tips system, encourage those great to achieve greater. I choose Pola Driving School for several reasons. I read reviews online, it seems and turns out it really is the case that instructor there are polite and fun, won't yell at you and always try to help you understand what you did wrong and how you could do better next time, which is quite important to me since I'm a new new learner, have no experience in driving before and kind of nervous when I get on to the road. And my instructor, Gabriel, is quite methodical, knows how to arrange the order of learning all the skills based on your performance, so the whole learning experience is gradual and really ease my nervous. And after class he usually discuss my problems with me, and provides advice about how to improve and what I need to pay attention to based on my case. By learning in Pola Driving School, I feel really confident to drive on the road even on my own, and so do my parents. After my third class, I started to recommend this school to my friends. I just passed the driving test today and it's the end of my journey with Pola Driving School and Gabriel, I want to write this review to recommend the school and the instructor, thank them for the course and their service and wish them good luck. Besides, they covers the Arlington area, which is convenient and their price is quite reasonable though I mainly choose them because I thought they are great based on how they responded to my questions on phone when I contacted a lot of driving schools.

Fantastic experience: I made long lasting friendship with owner of the driving school, Mrs. Pola, who is also one of the instructors. unlike some driving schools in the area, pola driving school takes the time to thoroughly prepare their students for the vigorous Virginia roads.

Fantastic experience: The instructors are friendly, patient, and outgoing. I was really nervous about driving at first, but because of their encouragement I was able to overcome my fear. I've recommended countless friends. If I had a choice to go back in time and relive my behind the wheel course, I would choose Pola Driving School a million times over!
