Fantastic experience: Coastal truck driving school help me accelerate my life in the right direction. Ms Donna drilled that pretrip like no other. But when I started driving I struggled a bit. Halfway through my training I was ready to quit but, Jared stepped in and gave a calming environment. He allowed me to find my footing and taught me in a way uniquely suited for me. His guidance and patience reassured me and gave me my confidence back. Whatever they’re paying that man, they need to triple it.

Fantastic experience: My experience at this location has been the BEST experience so far! If I had to do it all over again I wouldn’t change a thing. Huge shout-out to the best costal rep there is, ms Kathy!!! She is one of the many people in this world who takes pride in her work and helping student obtain jobs, answering questions, always willing to do whatever there Is to be done so we can continue furthering our careers once graduating! Some workers are here for a paycheck but she’s there for the long haul journey of seeing students succeed she’s going to stay with you when you join, when you graduate AND after you graduate she’s going to keep in touch to check in! Job placement, she makes it easy!! You WILL have a job before you graduate! To Mrs Donna, I walked into coastal not knowing a thing about driving a semi let along a manual lol but I walked out with so much knowledge & the utmost respect for a female trucker who dedicated her time, knowledge, leadership abilities to mold her students into passionate professional drivers!! Your voice will forever be instilled in my brain lol! If you have her as a instructor take the time to actually listen & comprehend what she’s saying she won’t steer you wrong! She takes her role serious and makes sure we understand that it’s serious as well. They say it takes a village to raise “kids” Mrs Donna & Ms Kathy they are that village that we need in this world I highly appreciate you both!

Fantastic experience: Hands down the best school and instructors right here in cenla. Mrs. Tina was definitely helpful throughout the process. Ms. Donna and Mr. Harrold have definitely taught me alot to prepare for my trucking career. If i was looking for a school to attend, coastal is definitely my number one choice.

Positive experience: Good instructors and staff. Very helpful and they work with you. My only concern is not enough time to get you comfortable behind the wheel. This may be due to over saturation of students coming in and not enough instructors or trucks. Overall my experience was not bad. I appreciate the instructors and staff for helping me on my path.

Fantastic experience: Great school they actually worked with me being I have a full time job and I was coming to the school during my work hrs had a federal investigator come to the school from my job to build a case against me to try and fire me But Mrs. Nicole defended me to the end I had Steve as an instructor really good guy once u get to know him he knows his job period he’s not there to make friends he’s there to make drivers remember that and you’ll be fine

Fantastic experience: Nichole help me through the intire process. Mrs Dona helped me with the road skills. And Steve was a great test examiner explains everything about the exam . Hadn't drove a truck in several years. First time around on backing fail. Was able to rent truck before 2nd test to practice From and tutoring by Dona costal, was able to pass on 2nd go around. Fantastic experience: Everyone at the COSTAL- College of Alexandria Truck Driving School was very nice from the minute I went inside to register for class to all the instructors in their teaching techniques. I graduated on October 21, 2021 and even though I had very little experience in driving a manual truck from being in the military. It was a very long time that I had touched a stick. The Instructors (Steve) (Nick) (Donna) (Lorenzo) walked me through every aspect of the course. I finished with an 89% average and came in 2nd in the class. I was a 1st time go on all events. Overall very good course. I recommend it to anyone who wants to get their CDL-A.

Fantastic experience: Just graduated and received my CDL. All instructors and office staff answer any questions you have and are invested to see you succeed. It has been one of my most informative and enjoyable experiences. Was in the Alexandria campus and would recommend it to anyone who is interested in the trucking industry. Fantastic experience: The fact that they want you to pass is awesome! Not one issue with these people all the instructors are very helpful, they may come off as rude but you have to remember they don't know you just as you don't know them. For instance the big headed instructor Steve, I thought he was flat put ignoring me then I find out he really is hard of hearing! Over all a great place to get your cdl if you don't get them its cause you put forth zero effort

Fantastic experience: During my time at Coastal i was not only treated like a part of the family there but like someone they wanted to see succeed at the highest level later on in life. The instructors are patient and supportive throughout the entire process and made sure i got the absolute best instruction inside and outside if the class room. The faculty and folks in the front desks and offices are easy to talk to and give you all the resources you need to be the best you can possibly be.

Fantastic experience: I just graduate from COASTAL TRUCK DRIVING COLLEGE today. My 4 weeks there was just wonderful. I learn so much about semi- Truck. Things like double clutching, pre-inspection; straight, off set, and 90 degree back; I also learned how to safe operate an 18 wheeler on road such as highway, rural road city. Mr steven( one of the instructor) ; Mr NiCK ( one of instructor and also the evaluator) and Mr Dana( the new instructor) are just a very nice persons to work with. The entire staffs there (top to bottom)  are just a lovely, nice people. Also I leave 1hour away, so i stay in the school dorms for free. What a great news! . I put a lot of work and time on getting my CDL. I study a lot, i practice a lot also. Yeah i want the CDL so badly lol .  So happy i have now. The instructors there at Coastal Truck Driving School of Alexandria working 7/7 to teach everything i need to know about Trucking. Like they say, if you want to learn how to operate an 18 wheeler, they will teach you for sure. They are very committed. They make sure i have a job lineup even before i graduates. At least 10 recruiters of big truck company pass by to talk to us. That was so helpful. Thank so much Coastal Truck Driving School of Alexandria, LA for everything. Thank to all my instructor. Thanks to all my co-students. It is was nice to meet all of you. It was a great time

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Coastal, they have the best instructors and Staff. They are all down to earth and make the whole experience fun while making sure you’re learning. You will leave Coastal with your license (unless you just really shouldn’t be behind the wheel of a truck). Great place to attend. I had Steven as my Instructor, he’s the best hands down. Miss Eddy and Nick are Great too.

Fantastic experience: Great Experience easy going straight forward people. Instructor mr Nicholas rebouche is the best hands down easy to get along with and has plenty experience. They aren’t in it for the money like other schools! Mrs Nicole was a great help and communicated what I needed to do and didn’t mind answering questions! If I had to do it all over again I wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Great experience!

Fantastic experience: I’m a recent grad from Coastal Alexandria. Mrs. Cathy Pearson will be the first person you meet through the door but you will remember her for ever! There’s a great atmosphere that surrounds that place and they make sure you will leave with your CDL’s in hand. Chose Coastal Alexandria you won’t regret it.

Fantastic experience: I went to Coastal Truck Driving College in Alexandria, LA to obtain my Class A CDLs with the double/triple trailer, tanker, and hazmat endorsements. Instructor Ms. Edy did the classroom with us and was very thorough about rules, regulations, etc. She worked with us on the pre-trip inspection until she was sure we understood it correctly. For backing and driving instructors TJ and Nick work with the students. I mostly had Nick all except two days and I was with TJ. They are both very thorough as well and teach us everything about safety and getting the job done properly and returning home safely after delivering a load. Great service in the office: Ms Tina and Ms. Cathy work with you on all the paperwork you need and get you lined out on the next steps of what to do. All around Great School. Examiner Ms. Paula is who gives you your final test. She is very thorough on her instructions as of what to do during the test and is very good at keeping you as relaxed as possible.

Fantastic experience: I love helping students reach their goals and realize that if they try hard enough they will make it happen. I love hearing all the stories from their travels and how many states they have been in since the graduated. If you have any questions please call and ask for Tina.

Negative experience: This started off being a very exciting experience in the very beginning but as things started to progress and some changes where made, so did some very key elements as well. Now that the end has come I can honestly say that I learned one key thing from my 8 weekend course that turned into 9. I tried to express my concerns in a rational matter and very little was done to in prove them. All I wanted was help in areas where I needed to improve and I would have been so grateful. It's very dishearting when u are SOLD a dream and the parties involved don't do enough to full fill that. If you are considering Coastal just make sure your getting what you invested in because consistently and time does go a long way.

Negative experience: In Alexandria LA, You have an instructor that her first lesson was complaining about her job, loud potty mouth, Dont give a dern attitude, I will not recommend nobody as long she is present there. Need to get rid of her. Very unprofessional and unpleasant, Totally a waste of money for anybody who goes there.

Negative experience: The most awful experience ever. They will pass you if you paid but I did not get what I paid for and was not what I expected from a school

Negative experience: A den of cackling hens, ready to fail anyone by the letter of the law!! I feel like they stole one hundred dollars from me!!
