Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Smith & Solomon CDL Training School. The instructors Nick, Don, and Taj were committed, patient, and really good at teaching. They made sure we understood everything and built our confidence on the road. Carolyn, the admissions coordinator, was super welcoming and helpful throughout my time there. She made the whole process easy and stress-free. I also enjoyed learning alongside my classmates. We supported each other and celebrated getting our CDL licenses together. I highly recommend Smith & Solomon to anyone looking to start a career in commercial driving.

Negative experience: The worst experience of my life, Address (402 Rising Sun Rd, Fieldsboro, NJ 08505) I was the target of racism for being a Hispanic student, I already reported the incident to Amazon so that they would not recommend the school to other employees, I wasted my time and money $5250, I just have to learn from the terrifying experience and move on to another school next year. I do not recommend it at all.

Fantastic experience: I am very glad that I chose this particular CDL school in Bordentown. This school participates in the program for Amazon employees - Career Choise, which allowed me to study there at the expense of the employer. Thank you, Katrine Cruz and Carolyn for prompt assistance with the preparation of documents for participation in the studying. Especially thanks to the manager Nick, who helped me and cared about every student during education. Also to Juan and my super positive and professional instructor Tadj. You are a cool team, all the best to you, prosperity to you and your school. I thought that I wouldn't be able to do study becouse of very poor level of English, but I'm glad that I got to this school, everyone helped me and supported me, telling me that everything would work out for me. I already pass my CDL exam and encourage everyone who want to get CDL and worried about language or education process take a look on this school and their great team of professionals. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: First and foremost I would like to thank God for this opportunity. If it weren't for Gods love and guidance I wouldn't have acquired my CDL. My experience of Smith and Solomon was above anything I expected. Never settle for less because when you settle for less you get less than what you expected and I felt confident and secured knowing my money was going to the best reputable institution in the country. The instructors worked with everyone not just in groups also individually, one on one, with any issues from pre trip inspection to maneuvers or on the road training. The instructors were aficionados of the truck driving industries. Highest caliber knowledgeable premium level experts at your convenience. Investing in myself never felt so good when I decided to go to Smith and Solomon. The knowledge of reputable lessons are never compromised by discrimination or sabotaging human flaws. Understand that if you attend this school they'll work with you till the end but ultimately is up to you to go everyday or when required from you and take advantage of the resources this school has to offer. Theres no excuses of failures here. You can only blame yourself for not coming in and doing your part. I enjoyed everything and made sure I left with everything this institution had to offer. The staff were amazing people. Mrs. Carrol I'll miss the most. Her wonderful personality could brighten the darkest rooms. A diamond in the rough. Shell guide you thru the initial interview explain and advice you on your journey thru the curriculum. My first instructor Malcolm. Someone please invent a way to cool the brakes when they overheat... The man is a relic in the trucking world someone I would trust to give the most honest and straightforward answer in anything that has to do with truck driving. Nick the most patient, unbothered, nerves of iron steel manager/instructor, I've ever had the privilege to know. Allan is the Paul McCartney of truck driving, a rockstar, he'll explain how to shift and make it sound cool but like in a 70s setting. Dom is the equivalent to a reset button. If you think you know how to shift but you haven't driven with Dom then you know nothing. Everything and anything anyone has ever tried to teach you about truck driving a semi tractor trailer you can throw it away and scrap it. People will talk about how bad instructor he is and complain about how he yells and curses at the students. I want to make this abundantly clear if it weren't for him I wouldn't know how to drive a tractor trailer 10 speed manual transmission. You have to first breath say your prayers and understand that if you dont listen or if your mind is in la la la land you have no business being in that driver side chair with Dom next to you. It's just the bottom line if your too much of a snowflake or too fragile then you shouldn't be in the truck with Dom. I never had any experience with truck driving I've never driven a 10 speed tractor trailer but after one ride along with Dom took all doubts that I could do this for the long haul. Tosh my friend took time to recognize how committed I was and how much this means to me and guided me all the way. He always assured me that he had my back and never let me down. Thank you. Above it all it was the best decision I've ever made in my life. I hope everyone's experience was as educational and motivational as mines. Thank you Smith and Solomon.

Fantastic experience: Just got my cdl last week and im very happy how i was treat , smith and solomon team was very helpfull, from pretrip inspection to road skills,i was on weekend class i what recomend for all of you is dont lose any time you are in the yard if you are waitng to get in the truck practice pretrip, remember its only one chance to one and done, THANK YOU TO SMITH AND SOLOMON TEAM

Negative experience: I am a current student at this location. I started this course in November of last year. Since my time at this school I have accomplished alot. But i am very unhappy with their services and their resources. When you get your pre trip down and you know what your doing. Once you get to straight line, offset expect to wait 8 hours to get into one of the trucks twice for about 15 minutes each time. The higher ups that are allowing all these students in and are not proving the resources (more working trucks) to be able to get students in there. I think this is a way for them to just get 5k from all these students and tell these students well its on you when its not. I just want to be abled to get my cdl but this school not even the instructors or the people that work there are the problem its the higher ups that are making it a problem. I dont recommend any of you from taking the course hear period. I am taking the course right now. Safe your money and go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I graduated in 2004 for here, 1st job Swift O.T.R. then I started driving local moving around state to state traveling and getting hired within 1 week everywhere I traveled too. Now almost 20 years in no tickets, accidents and drive every day. This is the best school hands down, they drilled all the answers in my head, when I took the driver's test got everything correct, easy and fast with all my endorsements. Now almost 20 years in I have my own truck and trailer.. All because of this school, I would recommend this school and I have to everyone wanting to drive truck. This was my best investment thus far

Negative experience: Smith & Solomon is NOT military friendly so to all my veterans out there, beware. Be afraid! This place is absolutely horrible. I regret even going. Everyone’s experiences are different. I however am 2,000 dollars in the debt because of this school. While attempting to get answers from the school through phone calls and emails I received absolutely no assurance and as it stands they don’t plan on helping me. Be afraid. I’d advise a different school.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this school, I went from knowing nothing at all about trucks to getting my cdl in a month. Vanessa at the front desk and all the instructors were great, from Malcolm in the classroom to AL in the yard and Nick and Don on the road. If you pay attention and follow what they’re saying it’s no way you won’t have your cdl in no time.

Negative experience: This place is terrible now that Asia left the company. Instead they got some new woman named Vanessa who pretends to be busy and give people attitude depending how she is feeling. I called several times she only picks up once on purpose then let's the phone ring like 4 more times when I call back. She left the door to the office unlocked when I went into the office building for the school when she had gone home apparently. What would have happened if some crazy guy decided to walk in there. I was going to attend there but after all this it's not worth it at all. Save yourself the money and headache.

Fantastic experience: I just graduated from SMITH & SOLOMON commercial driving school I had the best instructors Mat and Nick you are the best they teach you what you need to know to pass the day of your driving test I would recommend this school to anyone who asks me about a good driving school driving. Aja the office secretary always helped me to accommodate my schedule and guided me in everything to make the right decisions. Dan is a great driving instructor. He got me from having no idea what I was doing, to driving on the highway in about a half hour.

Fantastic experience: I graduated from Smith and Solomon. Don is by far one of the greatest instructors I've come across. He has his way of instilling knowledge into you but if you listen and do what he says, you'll be grateful when you're on the road ALONE with that DMV examiner. Hats when you'll know the value of what he's been teaching you. There's no way you won't keep hearing Don for the rest of your trucking carrier. Great school if you ask me. A little of my opinion tho, the school should invest in more and newer trucks, otherwise, everything'sgood, I would recommend to anyone.

Negative experience: Imagine being with 15-16 other people and doing nothing for hours waiting for one turn. Imagine getting one 30 minute turn out of the 10 hour day you are there ... I still go here and I'm on my friends account, I don't want my identity revealed. They have a total of 4 trailers, 1 is broken. 2 are gone on Mon and Wed. That leaves ONE for students to take turns on with 16 other people. This school is a joke. Should have paid attention to the reviews. If you really want to learn to drive a tractor trailer do not go here, You will be sitting for hours doing nothing, you've been warned.

Fantastic experience: I received my training and CDL in a month and half. The yard training was good. The road training was excellent. The training is what you make of it. If you listen and do what the instructors tell/show you, you will succeed.

Fantastic experience: This is a good school and the instructors all know what they are doing. The only real variables in your success or failure here will be your ability to understand what they are saying to you and your willingness to learn what they try to teach you. Also, if you are the type to have your feelings hurt by someone correcting you, you should probably just stay out of this industry altogether but that's not a reflection on the school. They will correct you if you are making a mistake but it is for your safety as well as the safety of your fellow students. Overall, a fantastic school and I would go back here for my training again in a heartbeat.

Never driven Manual ever in my life and her and Don changed that in just a few days. Negative experience: School may be good, I didn’t go but they don’t give info or pricing over the phone? I shouldn’t have to drive 40 minutes to just know the price. Probably a sales tatic that’s only in the best interest of the company. Whoever came up with that policy should remove it because I hear good things about this school but coming in for person for a price is ridiculous, do they give certain people different prices? I don’t like it. They just missed out on business.

Fantastic experience: Listen if u want your CDL go to Smith & Solomon-Bordentown that's where I went and I have mine with all endorsements. Idk why ppl are whining about the staff. I enjoyed the staff. My pleasurable experience began with Tracey in the office then I met the instructors and I learned from them all Blair, Don, Jill , Tom and Juan the couple times I spent with him on the weekend. Negative experience: Don’t waste your money and Time here I’m currently attending this school at Boarden town location weekend classes they advertised flexible times 7:00am to 4:30pm for weekend but the truth is they close around 1:30pm They have 1 instructor for 20 students,and 3 old breakdown tracks so how much time you’ll get for training? This school is interested in your money not you once you pay them you’re done for getting nothing I’m attending this school because My Amazon has tie ups with this school but now I don’t think so more Amazonian will come to this school they can choose different better school to get CDL Instructors are Egotistical and stubborn and so mean if you asked any questions to them they phill you are arguing to them also more Students and less Trucks they can’t give enough time to the students in Yard out of 3 trucks only one and some time 2 trucks are in working conditions so mostly students trying to learn from another student:( Some students got their CDL from this location after spent more than 6 to 8 months and some they quite because of after 6 to 8 months spent in this school they’re Frustrated of wasting their money and time Because of I wrote the truth on review school Instructors are not giving enough time to me for training and starts trouble to me In yard I asked to help me for pre-tip he denied and told me to do your self I did already so I’ll not do again for you The fact was I’m the only student was present in yard that time And he walked to the seat on bench If there’s Zero or minus star for rating I’ll definitely give -100 star

Positive experience: The Bordentown, NJ facility I attended accommodated me in all critical areas of Class A tractor trailer training. All of my instructors (Jill, Tom, and Don) did their level best in preparing me for my MVC examination. The net effect was I passed all required components of the exam after less than three months of training. All in all, a very rewarding experience. Thanks Guys!

Positive experience: My experience was not exactly the same as most enrollees. I often used my gender and physical appearance to my advantage. Even then it only had a positive response with certain individuals. My job payed my scholarship and it took a year to get the money. Attending during the fall is probably the best time to go. I am not a fan of excessive heat (from truck engines) & bugs. To add, I have okay copping mechanisms with the socially awkward and umm ... right wing extremists.

Negative experience: Place is a cash cow. People in charge inflate their prices for attending this cheaply runned school. Place has a toilet that always stocks up. They stick about 20-25 students with one instructor and a couple of old raggedy trucks in a little yard to learn how to drive. At $4000 a pop. Owners walk away rich while you get a measly trucking job working with greedy trucking companies. Owners here drive luxury cars and laugh all the way to the bank with your hard earned money. They even have fancy advertisements at the DMV for this poorly budgeted school. They get the people mandated by unemployment and have accounts with companies like Amazon showing they somehow have managed to get their hands and influence in/on government contracts. They probably bid for them by contributing to the campaign of corrupt politicians. Who then allow this company to earn millions of dollars in profits for doing absolutely nothing.

Fantastic experience: The best school I have attended!! They had me training like if I was going to do the job. straight lining and alley docking and shifting in less than 3 weeks!! Be very carful in witch school you choose ( you have been warned) if you are a self paying customer "productive tax paying member in society" and join this school keep your eyes open to who is around you and listen to everything they say for the first week and I promise you will realize you made a very bad choice.
