Fantastic experience: I had wonderful people for behind the wheel and the overall experience was perfect! Mr. Ahmad and Mrs. Sundas were both amazing!

Fantastic experience: Dean was a great instructor, he was very encouraging and really helped me develop my confidence as a driver. He was also very knowledgeable about the routes they tend to take you on for your road test at the Alexandria DMV, so by the time I took my test I knew the route like the back of my hand and I passed with flying colors. Thank you, Dean!

Fantastic experience: Mr. Nitan was my instructor and he was wonderful, very good instructor. He was very calm and concise when it came to giving instructions and tips. Great instructor, I would recommend this driving school if you want to get it right!

Negative experience: It’s unfortunate we did not have a positive experience with NOVA Driving School. I paid for 5 private (one-on-one) lessons for my teen daughter. Of the 5 lessons, 3 were cancelled by the instructor. I had to constantly reach out to reschedule each lesson. The last lesson pushed this experience from disappointing to awful. Near the end of my daughter’s final driving lesson, the instructor told her to pull into a neighborhood and stop on a street. Once in park, he told her to get in the back. This immediately made my daughter nervous and confused as she didn’t know what was going on. She told him she didn’t live there. The instructor said, “I know. Get in the back.” He never offered an explanation. Her confusion turned into fear until a girl approached the car. The instructor had stopped to pick up another teen but did not explain this to my daughter. I paid for private lessons. I did not give permission for another unlicensed minor to drive my child. As an educator and parent in the community, I cannot recommend this driving school due to the many issues we had. UPDATE in response to NOVA Driving School’s comment: Firstly, note I intentionally did not name my child’s instructor. NOVA Driving School revealed this instructor. Secondly, NOVA has our cancellations incorrect. According to the texts I received, the first incident was due to a “flat tire”. The second cancellation was due to “weather” despite the weather being clear. The third cancellation was due to an “accident.” Lastly, and most importantly, NOVA disregards the fear my daughter felt during that last lesson. She came home in tears. NOVA did not have my permission to put my minor child in the backseat with another unlicensed driver at the wheel. Period. Also, my daughter never “acknowledged the excellent service” she received. That is absolutely FALSE. In fact, she struggled with her instructor’s teaching style— he grabbed the wheel aggressively when she was making turns appropriately. He was also on his phone constantly. I encouraged her to stick it out, which I now regret. Yes, a monetary refund was offered which I declined. A service was provided and we were dissatisfied. Period. Refund or no refund, my review stands.

Fantastic experience: I was recommended this driving school through a group on Facebook for my nephew. My nephew’s instructor was Farhan and my nephew felt very comfortable with him. He liked that he was easygoing which didn’t make him feel pressured.

He gave me really good advice on what to expect on the test as well as overall good things to keep in mind when driving. The sessions were a very good way to practice and get an understanding on how to be a good driver. The entire experience payed off and it got me my driver’s license! Fantastic experience: Mrs. Asifa was a truly wonderful instructor, and helped my son to completely come into his own as a driver and gain the confidence and security he needed to start his driving journey. His attitude about driving changed entirely, and he seemed calmer and more prepared on the road than I’d ever seen him before. She helped him get through a lot of learning curves, and provided the additional patience and support he needed to come into his own. She was professional and thoughtful throughout, and I would highly recommend her to anyone thinking of taking driving lessons.

Fantastic experience: I took the 5 day one-on-one driving course with Asif Gill and it was a great experience. I came in as a very nervous driver, but Asif made me feel more confident in my skills and corrected me/explained the rules of the road very calmly. I would recommend this course to others.

Fantastic experience: I enrolled in the One-on-one adult training course with NOVA Driving School to improve some of my driving skills. I have taken courses through other companies and have not had a good experience which caused me to be nervous on the road. My wonderful instructor Mrs. Maysoon Salih understood my past experiences from the day that I talked to her on the phone to schedule my classes. She is always on time and has a positive attitude. When I sit in the car with her, I feel very comfortable. Mrs. Salih is very patient and guides me through every step. On the first day, I told Mrs. Salih that I wanted to brush up on my parking skills and my right and left turns. I learned how to properly park on the first day of my class and by the second day I was able to do it all myself, but Mrs. Salih stayed attentive and gave guidance as needed. Mrs. Salih has also provided me with guidance on my turns and is attentive and provides feedback after. Mrs. Salih always makes sure to complement you when improving your skills. When making a mistake Mrs. Salih is very kind and does not get upset but will kindly walk you through your mistake so that you learn from it. Mrs. Salih is truly a wonderful driving instructor, and I would recommend her and the NOVA Driving School to anyone looking to learn how to drive or brush up on their driving skills. I know I will be a better driver and already feel much more comfortable and confident because of Mrs. Salih’s patience, kindness, and guidance.

Fantastic experience: Just completed my 5 x 1hr sessions with Asif Gill. I am an adult learner with ZERO driving driving experience. He was really patient and guided me well. The added security of him having the gas and brake on his side enabled me to learn well without fear. I can see major improvements in my driving when I compared my 1st session to my 5th one. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I had driving lessons with an instructor named Dean through the Nova driving school and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed my driving lessons. My instructor was very patient with me and guided me through everything I needed to know. I am a much confident driver on the road now and I highly recommend Nova driving school.

Fantastic experience: Highest recommendation possible for NoVA Driving School (Fairfax County) and, specifically, Instructor Dean Meyer – who is simply, the best! NoVA taught all three of my kids to drive, and all three are extremely safe and conscientious drivers. Instructor Dean Meyer taught my two youngest sons to drive -- from their first time in the driver’s seat all the way through their final road test for their license. Dean was extraordinarily patient, kind, calm, friendly, and most important, especially safety-minded. Even though my two sons who were Dean’s students have very different temperaments and learning styles from one another, Dean did an excellent job meeting their individual needs and teaching them both to be exceedingly safe and confident on the road. They enjoyed learning with him, and we appreciated his being cheerful, flexible, and impeccably courteous, always!

Whenever I made a mistake, he wouldn't just point it out and move on; he took the time to explain the reason behind the error and help me correct my mistake. He was always open to answering questions, and was overall a very kind, professional, and friendly driving instructor. Not only was he a highly skilled driving instructor, but he also displayed remarkable patience throughout the entire learning journey. His ability to remain calm and composed, even during challenging moments, made the learning experience all the more enjoyable and effective.

Fantastic experience: NOVA Driving school has a great program for teens learning to drive. Really easy to book, quick response and accommodating for busy schedules. My son drove with Asif Gill and in just 5 lessons, is feeling totally confident! Asif spent time on turns and parking, as well as, situational driving (rain!). He was very patient and my son felt comfortable throughout his lessons. I am planning to book more sessions with Asif and definitely recommend both Asif and the NOVA Driving School.

Fantastic experience: Overall, it was great! I took two courses with Asif Gill and not only developed more confidence as a driver but learned a lot about safe driving habits. Highly recommend this driving school and more specifically this instructor.

Fantastic experience: Asif Gill was very calm and professional; the driving experience was a great addition to her already existing road skills and therefore became another essential learning environment for my teen driver!

Positive experience: Dean was very calm and made me feel comfortable as I was practicing for my road test exam. He went through everything that the dmv examiner would ask and answered all my questions. When we were at the dmv, it took a long time before I could take my road test due to computer issues, but Dean was willing to wait with me. Thankfully I was was able to get my license that day. My only critique is that the driving school asked me to pay extra money because of how long the dmv took. Since I was already planning to pay extra because of Dean’s professionalism and patience, I had no problems paying it. However, had I not been planning to pay extra before, it would have caught me off guard. After all, the DMV’s issues were not my fault. We didn’t leave earlier because the computer’s got fixed and the road test process was able to continue, albeit slowly, plus DMVs are infamous for taking a long time to do things. So, I think the driving school should tell people beforehand that extra charges may apply for the 1 hour practice + DMV road test service depending on how long you and the instructor take at the DMV. But overall my experience with the school was positive and Dean was a very good instructor. I would definitely recommend him to others!

Fantastic experience: My son had a great experience with Vandna. He did the 'behind the wheel" driving training for 16 year olds. Vandna was very flexible for scheduling, and got my son through all the required lessons. Their vehicles are equipped with passenger controls so they can take control of the vehicle at any time...very reassuring. My son felt she was forthright, fair, and instructive. Super happy with the whole experience. I was not asked to leave this review...they deserve this great review!

Fantastic experience: As my driving instructor, Nitan was very patient, professional, and knowledgeable in his teachings. He took the time to explain and demonstrate what areas I could improve in and how. He also did a good job of letting me know when I did things correctly. Nitan is very good at taking the time to understand drivers and tuning instructions to where they need it most since every one is different. I feel more comfortable behind the wheel after my time working with him. Finally, I appreciated how flexible he was with scheduling around my work and family commitments. I recommend Nitan as a driving instructor for others.

Fantastic experience: This is easily the best possible option to both learn how to drive as well as to get your license. NOVA Driving School is filled with friendly instructors who rid people of anxiety when it come to driving. There were many times when I began to feel uncomfortable behind the wheel whether that be on the highway, or in traffic circles, or even just in complicated road situations. My instructor Ahmad was one of the nicest people that I have ever met, and even in these stressful situations, he walked me through them with ease, all while maintaining a professional and friendly manner. I highly recommend this course to anyone who is either looking to learn to drive for themselves or for those getting proper education for their children. Fantastic experience: This is a very great driving school with very helpful instructers and teach you a lot of tips while your behind the wheel. Definitely deserves 5 stars.

Negative experience: I took 3 lessons, 90 minutes each. I wanted to learn the basics of driving, and that I was able to do. The reason I am not giving them a five star review is because of the lack of professionalism I faced.

Fantastic experience: I didn't know which school to choose in northern Virginia and took a leap of faith with this one. I had to get a re examination certificate before taking my driving test again. Mrs.Vandana was my driving instructor and I had not had a female instructor until this time. I'm happy to say I finally passed thanks to her!!! (I passed at the Sterling court DMV) I was taught everything I needed to know and learned more each lesson. Every lesson on the road I became less nervous. 20/10 stars for this teacher. Thank you so so much I have no words. I will keep the knowledge she gave me and practice more and more every day to stay a safe driver. I'm 28 years old, it's never too late!

Fantastic experience: I had the best experience with Nova Driving School and my instructor Gil. I did 3 behind the wheel lessons, the online drivers education course, and the Adult Waiver Program here and I completed it in a very timely manner and was able to get my license before my son started school. I learned a lot from Gil and I was even able to pass on some tips and tricks to family and friends. He was very calm, patient and understanding. I am very happy with the programs, my driver trainer and the accessible courses and schedules were awesome to fit my scheduling needs. 10/10 recommend. I received my permit in June and I was able to do the work and complete the courses timely and received my license in July, without having to wait the 60 days and take the road test at the DMV (because of the Adult Waiver Course). I am now confident in my driving ability and skills. Thank you Nova Driving School and thank you Gil!

Fantastic experience: With Muhammad Afridi as my driving instructor, I feel blessed to have the privilege of having him teach me. It was certainly convenient having an instructor that lived near me. Afridi was never once distracted from his duty of guiding my on-wheel education and has made a point of personalizing my drives with him.

Negative experience: This place is a complete scam and disaster. I would not recommend to ANYONE. They took $600 from me, I learned nothing, I still don’t feel confident in my skills and was completely unprepared to take my DMV test. My instructor, Malik, was on his phone the entire time and never gave me instruction on what to do or where to go - I literally drove in a straight line for an hour and a half. However we never actually drove for the full 90 minutes I paid for because he would pick up high schoolers for their lessons that are completely different and I would sit in the back (I did not have the observation portion as a part of my lesson). His car was messed up right before my DMV exam which left me with a new instructor the night before who was very rude. I paid $150 to use their car for the DMV exam which should have at least been made known to me 24 hours prior. Completely unprofessional. After I failed my exam I contacted the owner of the school and he told me I would just have to pay for my Drivers Ed for $150 and then just test with them and he told me that that was okay. Come to find out after wasting 30 hours of my time and another $150 it is not possible to test with them, they wanted me to pay even more money to take MORE lessons with the instructor who taught me nothing. A complete JOKE AND A SCAM. The owner of the school could not keep track of who his customers were to begin with. Would not recommend to anyone, save your money and choose another school.

Fantastic experience: Muhammad Afridi taught me how to be more confident, staying in the middle of the lane while no drifting, and made sure I was safe when I was about to get in danger.

Fantastic experience: My instructor was Muhammad Afridi, A good, patient instructor. Thanks to him I lost my fear in many things when I was driving that was a challenge and he helped me overcome it, I 100% recommend taking classes with him.
