Fantastic experience: Hopefully I have the right location. Nick and the other instructors (Todd and Leticia?) were awesome for the defensive driving class. Even as an adult it was beneficial and fun, especially the skid practice. I really felt cared for considering my driving trauma.

Fantastic experience: Today I called Drive Safe to schedule a driving test for my daughter. I had THE BEST conversation with Melissa! She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. She was very empathetic when trying to set up the earliest available appointment for my daughter who is so ready (and emotional) about getting her license NOW. Melissa took time to explain everything to us, which we so appreciated. Thank you, Melissa, for your amazing customer service and for making this part of a very important milestone even more memorable!

Negative experience: i didnt realize i was so easy to scam. i was still in the enrollment process when they charged me- i hadnt even made an account. then they charged me for a $50 “refund fee” because apparently i was in the wrong for not choosing their school. also, the lady was acting like she was the highschooler.

Negative experience: Watch out for drive safe driving school! My daughter tried to enroll and the their website had trouble processing her payment. The staff was really nasty to her so she asked for a refund. They charged her a $50 fee to refund her money 2 minutes after she tried enrolling! Now they aren’t returning calls and we have to dispute or with the bank. I know one driving school just went under recently and I’m telling you now that this one is sketchy.

Negative experience: A warning to parents and students: Read to the end. This is a predatory establishment. Their sales team pulled a bait and switch tactic on me. Before paying for the test, I asked what was required to take the test and was told “just 50 hours of drive time.” So I paid for and scheduled my daughter’s test for two weeks out. However, the info given to me was NOT correct (students under 16.5 years old need to have an additional 6 hours of instruction with a driving school) in order to test. First red flag. When I said this wasn’t communicated to us when we paid for the test, the option they offered was for us to book the 6-hours of instruction at their school, rather than refunding us the $115. Second red flag. Since they had initially refused to refund us for the test (still 2 weeks away, more than enough time to cancel according to their policy), we decided to do her 6-hours of driving instruction with American Driving Academy instead. Comparatively, ADA was wonderful to work with. My daughter completed her 6 hours of instruction and passed FIVE mock tests with flying colors. The instructors she worked with commented on how advanced her skills were and said she was ready to schedule her test. Since DriveSafe already had our $115 and couldn’t guarantee a refund, we decided to call them back to reschedule her test there instead of taking the test with ADA (to save money). BIG mistake. Long story short, the tester at DriveSafe was condescending and automatically failed her AND said many students fail the test at this specific intersection he takes them to. We were told not to worry because we could “test again in 24 hours,” paying yet another fee (and a $50 DMV fee for a fail too). Third red flag. This establishment is only interested in your money. They will intentionally FAIL your student so you have to pay the fee again to retake it. Why is it that 2 instructors at ADA did FIVE mock tests with her and said she was a great driver, only for a tester at DriveSafe to fail her at an intersection that had unclear signage/lights that many kids fail at? That said, we booked her test the next morning with a different school and surprise surprise SHE PASSED and was told, again, that she’s a great driver. Unbelievable. SAVE YOUR MONEY and do not give this place your business. In this economy, parents do not have the expendable income for multiple test-taking when you know your child is a safe driver. Do yourself a favor and take your student to a school that is genuinely interested in young drivers’ success rather than putting them in scenarios with improper traffic lights/signage. Key issue here is that this instructor takes kids to this intersection knowing many will fail. If this type of intersection isn't common in every day scenarios, why do this to them?

Fantastic experience: So far all I can say is EXCELLENT!!! From the parent orientation to the ed classes to the driving instructors, everything has gone smoothly with EXCELLENT communication all around. Stellar. UPDATE: 100% all the way through to passed driving test!

Fantastic experience: We have used this for 4 of our children and will keep going there and recommending them. They will prepare your child for the crazy Colorado streets! We always do the package that includes the defensive driving skills day, which I think is probably the most valuable class they provide for new drivers. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I went to the Highlands Ranch location because that was nearest to my house, and it was a very fun and wonderful experience overall! I just finished Driver's Ed today, and even though I passed my permit test, I was honestly kind of sad to leave. It was a wonderful four days and one of my favorite things I decided to do this summer. I had an amazing teacher, Jake, who made his lessons super engaging, entertaining, and informative. I learned a lot over the course of four days. All of the staff were super nice and they all made it a very welcoming and comfortable space. I would definitely recommend this school, it has helped me a lot and my instructor taught in a way that made me excited about driving. I look forward to continuing learning from them as I work for the next year towards getting my license.

Fantastic experience: I had my son come here for 2 hours of behind the wheel and I was so impressed from start to finish. I wish I could go back in time and put my son with this school for everything from the beginning. I have my son in a competitors school and everything has been so difficult to schedule behind the wheel and to call and speak to someone. This behind the wheel is a 10 out of 10!! My son feels so much more confident, and they gave amazing advice for what he can improve on and what he should expect for his test. It was so easy to schedule with multiple locations. I think it is more pricey than other programs but let me tell you it is worth the price!! Great service and staff. I also loved that they sent my son videos on what to do if you're in an accident, pulled over, parking lot safety, ect... for free!

Negative experience: Very trash Experience with Mary There is literally 3 or 4 people who actually work there and no one answered the phone between 350 and 4 o'clock making me not able to call for my appointment After these sessions I will go to another office because they are complete trash

Fantastic experience: My first US driver's license. It was nice to receive a high level of service from professionals in their field. I also really appreciate the recommendations of the instructor on safe driving. Although my English is at a very low level. The instructor explained everything intelligibly and I succeeded. Fantastic experience: I’d recommend josh if you are learning how to drive. He is a very calm instructor & helps you feel more comfortable driving.

Positive experience: Paid for my daughter's package online and then told we need to pay another 100 dollars to let her complete it. Will update after this issue is resolved, but they committed to looking at this issue, so 3 stars. Would be 5 without this wonkiness.

Negative experience: This is the second time using this location. Both times the scheduler has incorrectly input the schedule we agreed to verbally. This last time we showed up for a lesson and it was listed for a test. I asked what would happen if we took the test and failed. They said the package I bought comes with two tests - ok then let’s try the test. The student failed the test. No big deal, we rescheduled the correct lesson and a future test. The student passed and we went to the dmv. The dmv told us that we were going to be charged extra ($50) because she failed the test. The drive school messed up the schedule, No one at the drive school told us that if she failed the test that there could be potentially added fees at the dmv. If they did, then we wouldn’t have taken the test that day. My other big problem with this school is they don’t take the drivers test on any highway. This is so important where we live and is a big gap in their system.

Negative experience: I understand that they do not have enough staff, but then do not take on more clients, and/or let them know ahead of time that you have VERY limited availability BEFORE you take their money. There are drive schools out there with better customer service and more availability.

Fantastic experience: Eric H was a terrific, calm driving instructor who gave positive helpful feedback.

Negative experience: Our family has used Drivesafe before and I was happy with their service at the time. Currently though they are, by their employees' own admission, significantly understaffed and hence unable to deliver the lessons and tests that they have pre-sold. Their Highlands Ranch location has no space until late September. We were offered the opportunity to travel to another site further away, but even that will not happen until late July. Yet when I went to the website right after the call there is no indication that they do not have enough instructors and they are more than willing to sell more packages. If they know that they cannot meet their current obligations they should not be selling further packages, particularly without telling people that they have insufficient capacity. I did ask to speak with the franchise owner or someone at corporate to discuss the problem and was told that Drivesafe is going through a 'transition' and hence the employee did not know who I might speak with. Avoid this driving school and call around for one that can meet its obligations, or at least will be clear and honest with people about how stretched they are.

Negative experience: I have called 3x and no one from their corproate office is returning my phone call regarding a billing error on their side. Over one year ago we paid over $700 for the full program. During COVID we called to move the classes from in person to virtual. A few weeks ago when we called to schedule the three driving session they said I x sound schedule the 3rd session because supposedly I had a $20 outstanding balance. They informed me that when we changed the classes to virtual that they had a system update which resulted in charging us $20 additional dollars. The rep said that they couldn’t help and and that I would have to call the corp office. I’ve now called the corproate off 3x with NO return phone call. Today the rep said that they would email the corp office and I should hear back in several days. Seriously!!! This has been going on for weeks and it seems like no one can help me. I really don’t like writing bad reviews but this current situation is extremely disappointing and frustrating.

Negative experience: Horrible! The lady who booked my wife’s appointment told her over the phone a completely different time and date of the driving test! We had to spend an extra $45 to reschedule it because of her incompetence!

Negative experience: As a parent Drive Safe has helped my kids get their license -the class instruction is fine and the instructors are good. However, there simply isn't much flexibility and availability for my child to schedule their drives. They are booking out 6 -8 plus weeks. They just don't have the staff to meet the demands.

Negative experience: Office location is very good but instrictor was not professional and didn't give specific feedback what was my fault during test that lost my confidence level.

Fantastic experience: I recently took my 6 hours of instructional driving here and even though I had all of my required hours already, Jake helped me with a huge amount of patience, knowledge, and expertise, and he made me a much more confident and safe driver! I would highly recommend DriveSafe and Jake especially to anyone looking to be a better driver!

Fantastic experience: Amazing Driving school, Josh was fantastic and I learned a lot. Easily the best driving school in Colorado I'd recommend this school to anyone teaching a child to drive or especially for adult learners. I've had bad experience with driving schools in the past and Drivesafe was a breath of fresh air. Give them a try you won't regret it.

Fantastic experience: I took my license test yesterday and they were great. Jon is an amazing instructor, and if anyone is taking the test, I would highly recommend taking it with him. I also want to give a shout-out to Keith for teaching me the necessities of basic driving. He was awesome, informative and definitely knew his stuff. But Joyce is the one who deserves more than these reviews. I took three drive lessons with her, and she was so sweet, very calm and gave good constructive feedback. I was very anxious when I went to drive, and she put me at ease right away. Jon also was very good at putting my mind at ease when I took my test. The two ladies at the front desk were very friendly and made me feel more confident when I went in for my first lesson(which was taken with Joyce.) I love would recommend this place for any teen or adult driver that is anxious to drive or wants to build skills. You guys are awesome.

Fantastic experience: With no driving experience, I failed 2x on the road test after taking the 6-hr driving lessons. The problem is not because I didn't get good training, it's because I didn't execute what they taught me. Special mention to Josh and Jake for doing an excellent job. On my 3rd attempt, I took an hour of driving and do the road test right after... And I passed with good results. All the instructors who handled my 6-hr lessons are awesome. Fantastic experience: I love DriveSafe. The admin helped me get an appointment because I am joining the military soon. My driving instructor was John, and he went out of his way to explain things to me that I never even knew about when I was driving he was nice enough to help me get some required papers to take my drivers test that I didn’t have, and anyone taking their driving test here I would really recommend they take it with John. He was extremely helpful and he definitely knows how to instruct someone so that they retain that knowledge when it’s time to take their drivers test.

Fantastic experience: We chose this location and Drive Safe school per a friends recommendation. We have been so pleased. We had some back and forth communication in the beginning. I received an apology for the delayed call with no excuses! It was so refreshing. We have had professional and kind treatment the whole time. Diane the manager assisted me in finding the correct driver for my son. My son has a neurological disorder and drving was a skill we wanted to make sure he was solid with. Diane heard my thoughts and concerns, she addressed all of them and assigned him to the appropriate skilled driver for him. I would recommend this location.

Negative experience: The lady working at the front desk accused me of getting upset and "taking my emotions out" on her for having a mildly distressed tone of voice while she was rescheduling my test, despite the fact that I had just failed my test and was weeping.

Negative experience: This isn’t my own experience. My boyfriend is trying to get his license reinstated. We paid for his permit and drive test in May. On May 18th he took his permit test. After you take the permit test, the school sends the result to the dmv. It is now August 3rd and for SOME REASON the DMV doesn’t have his passed permit test so he can’t get his permit number to take his drivers test! This is ridiculous! Some one messed up here and all AUBREY can say is “I don’t know what to tell you” DO NOT GO HERE TO GET YOUR LICENSE REINSTATED.

Negative experience: Aubrey is Awful terrible customer service and takes forever to do anything right. I had to sit on hold for hours trying to get my Drivers license I’m 21 should be easy not with this lady Aubrey damn.

Fantastic experience: Diane and Katie at DriveSafe Highlands Ranch represent the best of the best! They are incredibly compassionate and understanding towards the students. When you walk through the door you quickly gain an appreciation of their kindness. They went out of their way to accommodate us and help us throughout the entire learning experience. I'm very grateful and appreciative of all the help they provided. Thanks, Diane and Katie for doing such a great job - and for being such kind people! To the owners - gives these guys a raise!

Fantastic experience: Excellent all around services! In person classes were great and informative. Driving lessons were wonderful with lots of feedback to both the student and parent. Drivers test was great, again with lots of great feedback. Highly recommend and will use again with my other children.

Negative experience: I have not taken my driving test here, but was highly frustrated by the scheduling process. I called in to schedule my test, and the operator either could not hear me well or was not listening and I had to repeat most of the information multiple times. Additionally, you have to pay the $79 fee to take your driving test before they tell you availablity of appointments. This is highly frustrating as ideally, I wanted to test sometime next week but there were no available appointments for almost three weeks. If I had known this before paying, I probably wouldn't have gone through with the transaction which was nonrefundable (even if we chose not to schedule an appointment). Overall, it seems a little shady to not disclose the available appointments until after payment was taken through.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had a great experience at the Highlands Ranch location. The instructors were very professional and great to work with. She took her Test through DriveSafe. They are working really hard through this time, and keeping everyone safe by following the safety guidelines. Thank you DriveSafe!

Negative experience: Instructor/Drive tester Joyce was simply ridiculous. She was completely subjective and decided outcome before testing. I had to take a driving test to reinstate after a DUI. I'm a retired Navy helicopter pilot and safe driver with no accidents for over 15 years. She failed me for the most ludicrous issues. FYI I passed with fewer than 6 infractions and 0 traffic violations at another location 3 days later. This reflects on your company. She wasted my time in gaining my license under the standards of the state. My debrief with her was superbly embarrassing. I was thankful the company gained some respect at another location. I question her integrity at this point. To follow up to your reply comments. Her "infractions" in debrief were not based upon objective criteria, and exerienced drivers should not be failing driving tests based upon your perception of "bad habits." Just because the senior citizen instructor can't see my scan of mirrors or you have construction right next to your office building which requires a quick forced lane change with the workman in the road does not mean it is a traffic violation. Also, a orange cone protected construction turn lane doesn't constitute a traffic violation when you are forced to turn your wheels at the intersection and your turn signal turns off due to how modern vehicles are equipped. I was incredibly disappointed with the number of infractions she cited which were plain due to her own lack of perception. I didn't know I needed to verbalize every time I viewed a mirror. Experienced drivers don't twist their neck around their body like a 15 yr old to check lane clearance. Lastly, she said that using the Interlock during the drive test was an infraction, yet your 2nd instrutor said otherwise. Review it again, and I am betting you could delete more than half of the 2 dozen "infractions" she formulated in her dream state. Driving too far away from parked cars on an unmarked residential street not to clip mirrors? Hand control of the steering wheel during turns? Her comments directly contradict the handbook and the question on the written test given by the State. Where do your instructors come up with this stuff? I am very lost in how your standards are developing safe experienced drivers when these tests don't even require operating the vehicle over 45 mph on a highway. There is theory and there is practice.

Fantastic experience: Very large place. Lots of cars in the parking lot. Very friendly staff. This place is for Driver's Education and Tutoring for academics and standardized tests. Clean and presentable. Two large classrooms. Multiple smaller private rooms. Nephew loved it here.

I walked in stressed and full of nerves and right when I entered he greeted me with a warm welcome and smile. Right then I knew that I could relax, breathe, and not freak out as much. He made my first driving test a wonderful experience leading me to have an amazing day. I would most definitely recommend this location all because of him!
