Fantastic experience: A kindfull service, I took the PENNDOT prectice driving tex. The examiner was so profesional and clear on every comand, task and conditions that I felt comfortable on the execution of them; even so I was nervous.

Fantastic experience: Instructor was amazing, very smooth drivers test. Very informative about driving techniques, and will calmy guide you through the lengths of the test. Didn't catch his name, but was a taller man. He reassured me of what we would be doing during the test and made sure I was fully ready and comfortable before starting the test. I was very nervous because the person before me had smacked the cone during parallel parking and failed. As you know it is on a hill so it is a bit tricky if you have not been practicing parking at all. But luckily I have been practicing everyday. We went around the building, and we stopped and he instructed me to as of what we would be doing for parking. I pulled around the ramp and up the hump to the parking and smoothly parallel parked. After that I backed out of the spot and went up the ramp, went around the neighborhood, and came back to the Agency. Then boom, I passed! Once you pass you will go inside and they will stamp your permit as your temporary license until they mail you your photo card for the DMV. 100000% worth the money.

Fantastic experience: Examiner was amazing! So calming and supportive! I failed at the Shillington DMV and just passed at John’s this morning! A nice examiner really changes the experience entirely. And at a good price too, only $100! Would definitely recommend going here if you’ve got the $100! There is no reason for the examiner at Shillington to be so intimidating! Parallel parking spot’s cones are a bit different than the Shillington dmv, but just use what you know already from the DMV’s cones and scale it down to the thinner cones they use here. It definitely seems harder than it is!

Fantastic experience: My daughter appreciated Dennis working with her as she learned to drive. She felt it was worth it to have the lessons. He did great working with her in driving the highway and parallel parking.

Fantastic experience: Well worth the money spent. Katie was a great instructor & helped gauge where I need the most improvement. She was calm & constructive at the same time. It also helped to have extensive online modules to understand various aspects of driving. & god bless Mac. He’s a very calm spoken gentleman who helped ease me during my parallel parking. I need to retest but at no fault to John’s Driving curriculum , just because I have limited means to practice. If you’re an adult who is now learning to drive or have young one’s that need to learn this is the place . You can also purchase additional courses as needed, which is a great option if you have the means . Plus they coordinate being able to pick you up & drop off at home!

Highly recommend. Very nice people worth the money to pay for lessons and I now feel confident in my driving abilities.

Fantastic experience: Scheduling for our daughter's driver's exam was fast, easy, and accurate. The thorough yet casual review with Mack, her examiner before the exam was very helpful for her to be more relaxed for this big event. Parallel parking can be dreaded by young drivers, but Mack advised her through it effectively. Wow! Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience here. I was very nervous but my instructor, Mac, made it so much better. He explained everything straight forward even before we took the test. If you've been ther before you know that the parallel parking spot is on a hill in an awkward position. I though for sure I would fail but Mac talked me through the whole process like I was learning it for the first time. The actual driving test was very simple. Mac gave very clear instructions and before I knew it, the test was over and i passed the first try! I would reccomend this driving school to ANYBODY!

Appreciate the whole experience so much, especially being able to take a test outside of the DMV. John's was a timesaver and a lifesaver and we highly recommend this well oiled machine of a company!

Fantastic experience: Coming here was def worth every penny, no hassle, literally got an appt 2 days after I initially called compared to the month minimum I would’ve had to wait for penn dot. The employees were welcoming and chill. My examiner (Mac or Matt please don’t be offended I’m bad with names lol) was a WHHHOOOOOOOLE sweetheart, all I have to do now is wait for my pic card in the mail to get my license. I was beyond nervous for no reason. You guys are awesome!!

Fantastic experience: My Grand Daughter Morgan Colley just finished up and passed her test. The school was very responsive and the instructor was very professional. My Grand Daughter passed test the first time. I would highly recommend. You need to make your reservations at least 2 to 3 months in advance. They have a very full schedule.

Fantastic experience: We scheduled my son’s test here. After some technical difficulties it was his turn to test with Tom. He answered questions before they began & instantly put my son at ease. He was the last exam of the day & after seeing 2 prior students fail, my son had gotten nervous. As they headed over to parallel park I could see my son smiling. What a great testing experience

Fantastic experience: Amazing examiner. Wish I knew his name. But I’m 33 years old. Never really cared to get my license up until I had kids and a wife. So I had to get it. I practiced for a long time but was still a bit nervous but the guy was amazing. And to future drivers that end up coming here. I know nerves gets to you everyday closer to test day. But it’s not as difficult as you think. Just do what you have practiced you got it. It will be over before you know it.

The instructor was phenomenal and was really calm and wasn’t miserable like everyone at the dmv. It was a great experience I very highly recommend you take your test here. Don’t even bother with the dmv just go here. There was zero hassle at all with anything, it really could not have been a smoother easier process, pay the little bit of money it’s worth it.

Positive experience: Great program to avoid the DMV!! Great instructors. Only downfall, my daughter was in a t-bone crash the night before her drivers test, she went to the hospital via ambulance and we didn’t get home till 200am. I had to reschedule her test because was tired and sore. I had to still pay $50 fee, don’t agree with that BUT…. She passed her test!!!

Fantastic experience: New drivers are anxious when going for their drivers test but Mac was so wonderful with my son. He made him feel comfortable before, during and after testing! He explains what he is testing for and how he’s going to give instructions. Answered all our questions. Scheduling for testing was quick and easy, very affordable with an option to use your own car or theirs. Testing availability is more than if you go to the dmv. I definitely recommend testing with John’s!

Fantastic experience: I am 41 and I have been driving for 25 years. I have not had a citation in 17 years. I signed up at PennDot Lebanon, the first available, waited weeks and got a proctor that failed me. He did not tell me why he failed me. He gave me no scoresheet or details to work on. We did not even complete the entire test. Tired of waiting, I signed up at John's for four days later. I needed my license this week because I am taking a motorcycle class this weekend. I had a friendly, courteous, and insightful proctor who treated the road test for exactly what it was: a formality. Needless to say, I passed with a near perfect score the second time around.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service at John's Driving School in Reading. Several customer service windows with friendly, knowledgeable help and the driving instructor was fantastic! It's a nerve-wracking time for those who are taking the drivers test, so having someone with a sense of humor, patience and clear communication skills is wonderful.

Fantastic experience: Yesterday I took my third attempt at my driver’s test and passed with John’s and it was absolutely 100% worth going to take my test with them. The employees and test examiners are so amazing, and kind, and try to keep you relaxed as much as they can. I do recommend practicing their parallel parking setup as it is on an incline and for a student driver it is daunting to try and attempt it.

Fantastic experience: I went to Johns to take my driver's test today. The people were very nice and Mitch, my examiner, was super friendly and put me at ease. He gave step by step instructions and made everything I was supposed to be doing very clear. Would highly recommend John's driving school. I would however recommend practicing on their parallel parking spot first as it is in a bit of a tricky spot.

Fantastic experience: I don’t catch my instructors name but he was great. It was a quick and painless process. We were having trouble with our vehicles registration and my instructor was very patient. When I went to parallel park he went over the instructions with me and even though I hit the curb he was cool with it. A quick road test and we were done.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had her drivers exam at the Sinking Springs location on Wednesday and could not have had a better experience! The instructor, (I wish I knew his name!) immediately put her at ease and helped her pass her test flawlessly. Upon arrival, while checking in, an issue arose which caused a delay, but the receptionist found a solution to the problem and my daughter was able to take the exam as scheduled. Two years ago my son also had his driver's exam at the Pottsville location and had an excellent experience. Everyone we have dealt with from John's Driving School has been exceedingly pleasant, helpful, and professional. My 3 older children dealt with the DMV to get their driver's license and had totally opposite experiences. Another great feature of John's is the short waiting period to schedule an exam. Both times we were able to get an appointment within a few days of contacting them. Well worth the $99.00!

Fantastic experience: I avoided driving most of my life but I found it necessary to get a license in my 50's. I was very nervous about driving. I tried another company for lessons and realized quickly it wasn't a good fit for me. I found John's I Can Drive and had lessons with Mack and Ken. They listened to my concerns, took them seriously and quickly put me at ease. They were both very professional, patient and gave clear instructions in a very timely fashion. They were able to take me out of my comfort zone without pushing me over the edge during lessons which I really needed. Thank you Mack and Ken! I also found the comprehensive evaluation I received via email after each lesson to be invaluable. I took my drivers test with John's. The examiner saw how nervous I was and tried to put me at ease. He also gave very clear, precise directions. While I did not pass the first time(nerves) I did pass and am now a licensed driver! Thanks to you John's I Can Drive and your very patient and capable staff! I would recommend your driving school 100% to anyone looking for driving lessons. I am a very happy and satisfied customer!

Negative experience: DO NOT TEST HERE!!! They have you treat a cone as a stop sign. You have to ignore a do not enter sign and proper flow of traffic arrows, you have to enter a very busy intersection go around the block and once you turn into the parking lot again you immediately have to turn and parallel park backing uphill in a spot where it is crooked and very difficult to line up to the spot. The online course is full of mistakes. I needed help from my parents to pass parts (the answers for some questions make zero sense). I would recommend however doing driving lessons with them on the road. That is the one thing they are good at.

Fantastic experience: Great service! Little to no wait time upon arrival. Those conducting the driver’s license exam were courteous and friendly. Instructions were clear and the entire process was smooth. Will certainly take my next driver to be there as well!

Negative experience: Very unprofessional. I Try to support local business as much as possible. Instructor was very unclear almost to a mumble with directions. Seemed to be annoyed in the rain and have a line of others outside waiting. To parallel park you must pull out of the state posted DO NOT ENTER sign and make a hard loop coming back into the business at a sharp angle to put you out of position. Instructor later admitted that the hill gives a lot of people problems. If this is a know situation then the course should be adjusted to the countless other areas in their parking lot. Feel this is their sure way to collect $100 and more for you to attempt a flawed course. Contacted the company and they wouldn’t credit or cancel the test for an additional try at a reputable place. STAY AWAY!!!

Fantastic experience: This is our second experience with John’s and the driving exam. Appointments are extremely easy to obtain, the dissemination of information and communication is excellent and Mac the examiner made us feel very comfortable from start to finish. He was very professional and an excellent individual.
