Fantastic experience: Dee at Defensive Driving Stanwood is intuitive to pick up student dispositions. Her fun and matter-of-fact style of instructing encourages reserved teens to comfortably warm up with confidence. She is patient, quick to notice improvements, and is very understanding that students have on and off days. With a lifetime of experience working in literally all capacities at the DOL, she is competent with a wealth of helpful knowledge. Her classroom is interactive and engaging. On the road, she is focused, giving her undivided attention, while customizing and maximizing learning on drives. She lights up and sees the potential of young drivers that she teaches. We are immensely grateful, especially through the extra purchased drives, for top notch A1 instruction and mentoring, on and off the road. Stephen was great and Taryn delightful to work with.

Fantastic experience: It was required for me to renew my drivers license that I take the written and driving test. I made my driving appt.with Stephen, who had a great presence over the phone. I had to change that appt.and drive with Dee. She put me at ease right away. I was very comfortable with Dee. She is a warm and very kind person and very professional. She left me feeling better about the human race. I recommend DDS of Stanwood and highly recommend Dee!

Fantastic experience: My wife Ivy needed help for driving since she is from the Philippines. She needed 3 months of instruction. Dee has been instrumental in helping teach all the aspects of driving. All the issues she had were helped in a way she could understand. This is one of 3 languages Ivy speaks. Today Ivy took her driving test and passed. Later in the day she got her license. I recommend Dee highly.

Fantastic experience: So I was on the online class for drivers Ed and MAJOR props to my instructor Jason, this dude is awesome and it is crazy that he can keep up with the online classes, but he is awesome and the school is awesome 10/10 fully recommend.

Fantastic experience: This is my second child attending Defensive Driving School in Stanwood. Jason is a great web teacher! Every teacher that has taken my children on drives have been incredibly patient and helpful and know just how to take the stress of Driving lessons off my nervous kids. I've even learned so much by them allowing me to go on the drives as well! I would refer anyone looking to enroll their kids into a Driving school to choose a Defensive Driving School location.

Fantastic experience: I was pleased with our experience with Defensive Driving. They were patient and helpful in teaching my daughter how to drive and whenever I contacted them, they were easy to get ahold of and communicated well with all the steps we needed to complete. Very good experience!

Fantastic experience: The instructors were great as well as the classes. I have few complaints. The one I do have is the time between drives is odd to say the least. The need for 9 days between drives was a slight inconvenience. But other than that I enjoyed the experience throughout.

All of the driver instructors are great at their job, they are clear and concise in their instructions and are just fun to drive with. the teacher I had (Mr. Jason) made what could have been a boring curriculum quite engaging and fun. I highly recommend this driving school.

Fantastic experience: I cannot more highly recommend a place to take driver's ed, your written, or your road test than this place. The instructor is incredibly helpful, friendly, very open to communication, honest and constructive with feedback and the atmosphere of the place is very friendly and welcoming; I went here to take both my road test and my written test for the first time and never once felt any kind of judgement for my prior lack of driver's ed or renewing my permit as an adult. The instructor works well with you, and I honestly learned so much from just my warm-up lesson + road test! I sincerely can't recommend any place else for anyone who needs to take their tests or is learning to drive for the first time in the area.

They’re really good at communicating at what you need to do when unexpected situations may come up. The driving instructors are all reliable when you’re on your drives!
