Negative experience: They don't accept credit card over the phone and asks for Zelle payment, which is very strange and inconvenient. Sounds like shady business to me. SMH.

My instructor was Marvin and he was great to be with, very friendly and knows his stuff. He will let you know information that you need to know throughout the courses and about the road test. Negative experience: This driving school is horrible in the day of my exam I was told at 7 am to be ready and at the place but when I arrived the person who was supposed to drive me was an hour late . Imagine someone who is already nervous about a driving exam having to worry if he will even make it . To add on they promised to give me the same exact car for my exam but they lied and gave me a whole different car . This driving school isn’t the best find someone better

Fantastic experience: A huge thank you to the representative answering the phone at Totally Cool, she was a very helpful and thorough communicator and answered all of my questions with really short hold periods. I’ve almost never had such a pleasant experience while cold calling a business and asking multiple unusually specific questions with follow ups about their services. I’ve not had the pleasure of using the school’s services in person but if they operate anywhere near as adept as Miss Norris they are not going to disappoint. I’d give them 10 stars if I could!

Fantastic experience: My first experience with Totally Cool wasn't the best... My driving instructor whose name I can't remember (Guyanese guy w/ long hair) was horrible. He was also 50 minutes late to take me to my road test (which I failed). I took the test a 2nd time with a different car and failed again and was starting to lose hope until I decided to retake classes here with Marvin. This man was godsend! He was able to teach me the right way to drive, built my confidence, and helped me pass my test on my 3rd attempt this last Thursday. Thank you Marvin, you deserve a raise!

Hacer el reclamo y la señora que atiende dijo que. Ellos acostumbran a desconectar. De la. Clase. Que mejor devolvían el dinero no vayan allí busque. Un mejor citio perdimos dos. Sábados y logramos recuperar el dinero mal servicio y son groseros. Con los clientes. No saben tratar. Ala clientela

But whoever they have at the front desk or operating their phone system is rude and unwelcoming. I decided to find business elsewhere based off of the encounter with her alone.

Fantastic experience: I don’t even write reviews but My instructor was amazing! After I failed my road test twice I finally passed my test! I had practiced a little with different schools before but I took one lesson before my road test with this driving school and I feel like they were the reason I passed. My instructor was Fredo he taught me so many new techniques that I needed that no other driving schools taught me before , and I’ve tried a lot of schools . This school was professional and they really do help you pass your road test ! Thank you Totally Cool Driving School

Fantastic experience: If I could give them 100 stars, I will. This is the best driving school and has the best driving instructors. They’re so patient and understanding. I lacked so much confidence when I first started, but thanks to my driving instructors, I became more confident. I had the pleasure of working with Sharuk ( I hope I’m spelling his name correctly) and Hassan. They addressed all my concerns and helped me out overcome all my fears as a new driver in NY. I took my road test on March 16, thanks to them I passed.

Fantastic experience: I dont even know where to start!! I am blessed and truly grateful I am to have chosen Marvin to be my driving instructor! He is one of the BEST instructors out there. I am a very anxious person but Marvin was able to tell me exactly what I needed to hear and taught me everything I needed to pass my road test. I passed my road test on September 21!! I took the last class with him in the morning and then he drove me to the road test site. We were the first ones there and he kept repeating to stay calm and giving me all the positive vibes! Negative experience: Sharuk owner at Total Cool Driving school on Jamaica Ave. Before you bought your car at our shop to be repair, your car was illegally parked by blocking someone driveway this was when your car got damaged BEFORE you bought it to our shop. Your Registration and Inspection was expired on your car thats why you got tickets. You DID NOT pay us a dime to fix your car. We have spent OVER $1,000 to fix your car. You are the one that Robbed us and ran away. We should have collect a deposit from you, now we are at a lost from you. This is what you get from people like you. Make sure you get your facts right before you start writing reviews.

I have to move to california.. so they arranged my scheduling pretty fast to help me ou for my work time to move out from new york, thank you for help me out and I loved the service! 1 - They call you to all appointments, friendly staff and the 5 hours course is a shortcut for what you need! For a small business I was pleasantly surprised at their level of professionalism and how they communicate with me. Everything is well explained and the instructors are awesome especially CINDY!! Negative experience: Had few lessons with them and the first time was horrible. Having 2 people in the car telling me different things. Not blaming the instructor. The least they could have done for me was offer me the courtesy for another lesson or extra time. It was truly the Lack of Concern. I still tried 2 more lessons but finally gave up. Thanks for Nothing. And to Add: I asked to speak to someone regarding the Incident 3 Times But The Lady On The Phone Had A Whole Attitude Like It Was Personal To Her.

Negative experience: I went to this driving school I took the package with the 8 lessons. I had the 5hr class before I was able to take any lesson, as I was told that they cannot schedule a driving lesson for me until after I took the 5hr class which I had on 9/12/20. After the class we were told that we have to pick up the certificate on that very same da . Which I never knew about. Mind you its Saturday l have a lot to do and I was already late for another engagement. I called to find out if I can pick up the certificate another day. I was told by the girl there no because she told me all that the day I came in to register, it's in the student manual and she also called me and told me I have to pick up the certificate right after the class. First I dont know what student manual she gave me. When I signed up I received two pieces of paper. One is a receipt of the $300 I paid the other is a piece of paper titled Driving School Student Agreement, nothing else. I dont know if to her that's a student manual. When she said she called and speak to me and told me that I have to pick up the certificate after the 5hr class. I know that was a lie, because I didn't speak to her. I asked her out right if she speaks to me, I left you a message. That is completely different, because leaving a message for someone does necessarily mean that person receive the message and by the way I check my messages after she did left a message only about the time the class begins. I save the message on my phone as proof. I realized she just keeps on lying. So I told her she is lying I asked her why she is lying and I called her a liar because that's what she is, a LIAR. She accused me of yelling at her and hang up the phone on me. So I went asked for a refund in which they took $45 for the 5hr class. I refuse to do business with someone who is rude and disrespectful to me. I know there would be a problem with her because when I went there to register she pretend as if the thermometer wasn't working. She had me there forever trying to take my temperature. She took it to the lady at the front and the guy sitting next to her. They both tried it on her and on the first attempt it worked. She came back to me and had me there again going over and over with the thermometer, I think she was hoping that someone else came and register me instead. She acted soft spoken but do not let that fool you. THEY ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

Fantastic experience: Marvin is the absolute best instructor!!!! I never drove in my life and my family doesn’t own a car so these lessons were the only thing I relied on to practice. He teaches you everything you need to know, as long as you follow his advice and do your part there’s no way you won’t pass the test, like I did! LISTEN TO MARVIN!! He does not want you to fail and you need to be on the same page, tell him if there’s something you want to practice more or ask what he thinks you need to focus on and he will tell you the truth. I was absolutely thrilled that I passed my road test on the first try

Positive experience: The people are good BUT they cut off lesson time. I bought a package with them which has 2 driving lessons. Both lessons are supposed to be for an hr each but I had it for only 45-50 mins because the instructor feels that he doesn't have anything else to teach altho i told him I need to practice parking. Also, during my driving test, I had 11am spot and they put another girl in that schedule. So during the actual test, i waited for the girl to finish it and then waited in line again to get my turn. When it should be one car each person so no wasting of time and that's what you paid them for. Just don't let them do this to you as well. Nonetheless, they're nice people.

Positive experience: Decent place, but definitely consider. The 5 hr class, cool. Maria, the instructor that came in after the 5hr class, gave really good tips and I assume is a very good instructor. However, I didn't get Maria and the instructor I had did not prepare me sufficiently for the road test. I used the backup camera during practicing for the road test and the day of the test the examiner put paper over the screen. Then, on the day of the test when we were driving to the test site he was blaring music and texting at stop lights. I was so nervous and that didn't help. It's not his fault I failed but I wish I was better prepared. I had to prepare on my own for two months, doing parallel parking on my own and other preparations before I felt comfortable attempting the test again. Be aware and be adamant that your instructor teaches you everything and don't attempt the exam if you're not ready, even if your instructor says you seem ready. I passed on my second try, but it took a lot of learning on my own. And I'm only giving 3 stars because I was only picked up once, all the other time I had to go to the school.

Fantastic experience: Where do I start? Affordable driving school. Instructor Theresa is very patient and speaks to you clearly on what to do and what not to do. My first lesson with her I was terrified for my life than after a while I got so better and today (this morning 08-22-2019 11am) I passed my road test! Thank you so much Theresa I appreciate you! Recommend this school to a lot of people who are on a budget.

Negative experience: The worst driving school , the instructor I had was on her phone for most of my lessons . So I switched instructors and got a instructor who was worse he had no patience was always yelling and mad . The office customer service is okay . I ended up taking my money else where to get lessons . Overal this school is the worst school from my experience. They seem as if they just want your money and don’t care . I would not recommend this school to love ones or friends!!

Positive experience: I took 10 class package with 5 hous class so far so good! With 1 concern Instructor farook is cool respectable and teach well & technically awsome second great thing they call back and remind you one day before. concern is related only with management Using same route in every class like not attall change in areas makes little difficult for a student while appearing first roadtest. Different routes should be choosen if speciallly someone is taking 10’or 15 classes he will mug up same roads in every class.While my driving classes i use to know better now what instructor is going to command me (left right or parking). Fantastic experience: Choosing this driving school was the best choice that I made all summer. Being a college student, it is necessary to have your license to be able to get around on your own. They made everything so easy and stress free for me. Prior to taking lessons with this driving school, I was so nervous about the thought of driving. But they made everything stress free. They set up your lessons perfectly with your schedule and they call you the day prior to remind you. I purchased the package with 8 lessons, 5 hour class, etc. and that was all I needed. My driving instructor Faruk was AMAZING. I am so thankful to have had him. He taught me everything I needed to know and I passed my road test the first time without any stress and I only lost a few points. If you're considering this driving school, I definitely recommend and definitely request faruk as your instructor.

Fantastic experience: Came here for the 5 hour course. Now no one wants to sit in a class for 5 hours but the instructor was great he also cracks a lot of jokes so it makes the 5 hours feel like nothing. The customer service was excellent no problems at all very nice receptionist. Will be coming back soon for driving lesson! 5 hours course is only $30.00 compared to other people trying to charge $40- 55.

My instructor was Teresa and she was awesome in helping me perfect everything related to the road test, whether it be parallel parking, or u turns (after 4 lessons, I passed on my first try). I definitely recommend her to all students trying to practice and perfect their driving in preparation for a road test. All staff were very nice, and knowledgeable, and this driving school is definitely the one to go to.

Fantastic experience: I took six lessons along with the 5hr class. You only get one instructor at this school (unlike Ena's Driving school, that gives 3+ instructors to one student) for all your lessons. My instructor was Teresa, she helped me to improve on the areas that I was a bit rusty in. Our lessons were very calm, and she's a pretty laid-back person. (After a few lessons she told me if I was ready or needed more practice.) I did my test and passed on the first try, so this school is definitely worth attending.

Negative experience: They are cheater, they know how to cheat with innocent people to snatch money. Never gonna go there again.

Fantastic experience: Beginner's driving is very daunting but having patient instructors like those at Totally Cool sure does help. Their prices were very competitive in comparison to other schools. I also loved the fact they didn't nickel and dime me, and that I could go on a payment plan. I was nervous that I wasn't ready for the road test but they were honest and assured me that I was. It's been a couple of years since I've gotten my license and I still use their parallel parking technique.

Fantastic experience: Very very good service. My instructor was faruk and he was awesome in teaching me. Passed my driving test on first try. I highly recommend them.
