1ST AVENUE DRIVING SCHOOL & License Testing: Reviews
Fantastic experience: I took my drivers exam and permit exam at this location. It was overall a easy experience. It cost about 50 bucks for the permit. You can take your drivers exam one day after you get your permit if you’d like to do that but overall doing the driving exam wasn’t overly complicated. It was super easy and I really appreciated the instructors.
Negative experience: I went here to do drives, but instead I got called a liar and got yelled at very rudely by staff. I was crying after the drives constantly, feeling like a total failure. I am now scared and nervous to drive anywhere. Very, very rude staff! Wouldn't even want my worst enemy to go here.
We’d like to get in touch with you to find out more about the concerns you’ve mentioned here. Without your name or profile picture we aren’t aware of who you are or the specifics. Please reach out to our admin at 253-845-3333 we’d like to make this right for you. Thank you
Negative experience: The owner of this establishment is completely rude and disrespectful!
You obviously work at Value Village. Your managers Maria and Chelsea threatened to immediately have the owner’s car towed from our employee parking area (which has to accommodate employees of 3 small businesses) after parking in front of a semi which had at least 30 feet behind to use to exit the area. The constant dominance of the parking area by Value Village semi-trucks puts a strain on the already limited parking. That would frustrate anyone. What's more, your review is irrelevant to the services we provide
Fantastic experience: They are on time, organized and provided great customer service. It was easy to get in. I called same day and was able to get in by that afternoon. Prices very reasonable. I paid $60 to get my standard drivers license and that includes using their car for m my driving test.
Fantastic experience: I went to 1st Avenue a while ago and I forgot to leave a review. I absolutely loved this place it is quick, simple, and reasonably priced. The staff are excellent and genuinely wish to see you pass to get your license. I went in there nervous and came out taken by surprise with how fast my jitters went away. The instructors are incredible and I had an excellent experience with the front desk receptionist. I will/ would recommended 1st avenue!
Thank you for this nice review. We enjoyed our interaction with you also. We wish you all the best for your safe traveling future!
Fantastic experience: I believe I forgot to leave a review after my experience, so here it is. I came here to do a written and drive test, so I have no experience with the class portion of the business. It was a straightforward process, quick and easy. At one point the instructor made a very mild mistake and it didn't reflect negatively on my score, so they are quite fair when it comes to things of this nature. Try to ignore the negative reviews, as many of them are because people are not punctual, don't know the rules, or feel like they are entitled to have the rules/routine changed just for them. I am glad I came here, and it is the best priced one in the area. I will definitely use them again when it is time to enroll my son for classes.
Negative experience: In RE to your reply on my initial review. You fail to mention how your office lady and instructor are the ones that stated the stop sign ran was directly off Meridian when i asked them in person immediately after my child's drive test. Take accountability and stop scamming people out of the money they worked for, not you! Reviews mention this taking place time and time again, as well as mention the terrible customer service, bad attitudes, and childish/bully like replies to honest reviews your company does not like. It is not a fluke that my child passed with an almost perfect score when she took her test for the first time with another company!!!
How many new accounts are you going to create to keep giving us one star reviews to sabotage my business? Who's the real bully? Our ability to respond to your review is considered by you as “bullying”. You have a right to post a review and unjustly insult our business. We also have the right to respond truthfully. You continue to divert the focus on where the “stop sign” was located rather than the fact that your daughter ran a stop sign with a crosswalk. She admitted she ran a stop sign during the exam right after it occurred. This action presented a serious risk to both herself, our examiner and pedestrians. I have downloaded the video and audio footage from our office camera of the time (5:57 pm on 4/23/24) you entered our office demanding to know where the stop sign was that your daughter ran. The “office lady” was not in the car so she would not know where the incident occurred. The examiner had just come into the office right after and was still shaken up from that terrifying experience, so when you came in loudly demanding (video shows) to know the exact street numbers it was understandable she may not have the exact street numbers on the tip of her tongue. However, she clearly described the turns involved to get to the location. You have since been provided with the exact street numbers of the location. The examiner clearly states that they “made a RIGHT TURN OFF Meridian at the LIGHT before the light at Stewart and then straight”. At no time during that conversation did anyone say there was a stop sign ON Meridian. The Department of License has qualify/disqualify (pass/fail) statistics for both knowledge and skills exams on each examiner and each driving school and monitors them. We don’t “scam” people or “fail” them so we can make money. We don’t have enough availability to accommodate the customers who call on a daily basis to test as first-time customers, let alone for people wishing to retest. This examiner has been conducting skills exams for 9 plus years. On that day she had conducted 12 skills exams. Out of those 12 exams your daughter was the only one to NOT qualify for their license. Your daughter was given skills exams by 2 different seasoned instructors with varying schedules who had no contact with each other between your daughters’ exams. This examiner is repeatedly requested by customers to conduct their exams. At the end of an exam, the examiner informs them of the areas they had deductions in and encourages them to practice before trying again. We discourage people from immediately coming back in to book another appointment after disqualifying, like your daughter did, but the customer has the option. The “almost perfect score” statement you make is disingenuous. The bottom line is that failing to stop at a stop sign and traveling more than 5 mph over the posted speed limit are violations and result in an automatic disqualification on a skills exam.
Fantastic experience: The receptionist with the short blonde hair was incredibly nice, and reassuring. She made it easy to access a spot to test, and was extremely professional/considerate. Same with the blonde instructor, she was informative, attentive, patient, and amazingly kind. Made driving, and parking a breeze. So glad I came here.
Fantastic experience: Super Amazing Experience Super Funny And Nice Super Helpful At Helping People About Learning To Drive And Getting Their Drivers License I Would Recommend This Over 911 Driving School.
Thank you for the nice review. We enjoyed helping you to achieve your goal for getting your license and your bubbly personality. Good luck to you!
Fantastic experience: Best place to i got my driving license here today and very affordable only cost me 60$ all other places they ask for 20$ more highly recommended very respectfully team and the nice lady how gave the test was so respectful and nice i didn’t feel nervous and helped me understand the rules and gave me enough time to adjust my seat and was so nice and calm during the exam and thnx to her i was able to pass because i didn’t feel nurvs during driving test not like other places i have been like 911 how didn’t let me have enough time to adjust my seat or mirrors and thanx to her Professionalism and give students time to be ready to road test i was able to drive normally and i was able to focus on road and speed limit and everything really i cant thank them enough real place not expensive at all and nice car to drive in and honestly this place checks every green flag hope we have more great places like this highly recommend dont go anywhere else please this the best place to get the knowledge and driving test best place in puyallup
Thank you for the 5 star review. We’re glad you had a good experience with us. Congratulations on passing your drive exam. Best of luck to you!
Fantastic experience: We chose this driving school for our daughter over the other two schools in our town due to the fact that they charge $100 less and still offer the online course option. We were very happy with the entire process from beginning to end. The online course, five, in-person drives, and written and driving tests all went smoothly. I had to call the front desk multiple times with questions and the phone was always answered quickly by either the owner or the office manager. They both were very knowledgeable and always politely answered my questions and were very helpful. I would highly recommend this driving school to anyone in the area. I did notice that some of the online, negative reviews were regarding this school's lack of leniency regarding missed classes, tests, drives, etc. As frustrating as this must be, I do want to point out that 1st Avenue was very upfront about their cancellation and missed classes/test policy, so we were aware from the very beginning about how strict their policy is. So students just need to be careful about not exceeding the allowed number of missed classes, cancelling scheduled drives in advance, and completing the entire course with all of the requirements within the required amount of time. In addition, I believe that this strict policy is very common with other driving schools in our state, so it's not just 1st Avenue that operates this way.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us this positive review. We are thrilled that you were satisfied with your experience in our teen drivers program. All of us here appreciate your feedback. We wish you and your new driver all the best!
Fantastic experience: I usually get really, really bad anxiety to the point where my palms get sweaty, especially when it comes to tests. This was my first attempt for the road test at this location. Kim Johnson, (hopefully I got her name right) was my grader. When I say she made me feel so comfortable; I felt even more confident behind the wheel. She allowed me to make my slight errors while driving and showed me the mistakes I made when the test was over. She was very professional, even her tone of voice was calming and at one set tone, not too loud, not rushing her words or instructions - just clear and precise. I would recommend this place to everyone.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a kind review! Congratulations on passing your test! Best of luck to you.
Fantastic experience: Right place at the right time. They have lots of availability and I just got lucky that I’ve found an available spot for a road test with them after i passed the knowledge test from on of the DOL offices. Ladies at the front desk might be misinterpreted as rude but they are just spunky in a good way! They’re great and friendly. Loved the lady instructor for being super understanding and great to be with especially she understands how Canadians with other provinces have to go through by taking both knowledge and road tests again just get a WA License. Absurd rule by this state. But, got my license though. Thanks guys!
Fantastic experience: 1st Avenue Driving School were fantastic when it came to arranging my driving skills test, their website is easy to use and the lady on the phone was really helpful when it came to booking my test at short notice. On the day, again the whole team were very nice and welcoming. The receptionist was super friendly, and the examiner was great at creating a low-pressure environment, and she was really good at letting you just show what you can do. Thoroughly recommend this driving school for testing, and if I was actually looking to do lessons, I would definitely choose them.
Thank you for the nice review. We appreciate kind customers like you!!
Fantastic experience: From the scheduling to the actual road test, I felt comfortable and ready to drive all the way through. The price was very reasonable, their vehicle drove smooth, and the instructor was pleasant and answered any questions I had. I recommend this place to anyone looking to have a good road test.
Fantastic experience: 1st Avenue Driving School was a breath of fresh air to work with! We unfortunately had to make an out of State move while we were in the midst of our daughters drivers education . As you can imagine it got a bit chaotic. The folks at 1st Avenue were incredibly kind and patient. I ended up calling up to three times in just one afternoon with all of my questions and was never met with anything but kindness and a willingness to help. Thank you so much. We appreciate you.
Thank you for your kind words. Each time a student gets their license it's just as exciting for us. If we could give stars to customers you'd get 10 from us!!
Negative experience: The receptionist's attention is terrible, the 4 times I called and went there her attitude was not the best. I lost my money because she did not do her job well and did not even have the intention of wanting to solve the problem. I won't go back there for anything in the world.
Positive experience: Not bad employee at front desk could be nice Also be warned if you get the ford for be warned worst alignment I've ever seen
Fantastic experience: Very friendly instructors, pass both written and skills test from the.
Negative experience: We won't come here. when setting up my appointment, the lady was rude. They gave the wrong date that I told her we weren't available for, but the lady had no problems taking my money.
The video/audio shows you were treated respectfully for both interactions and you were given an immediate refund. Good luck with your test!
Negative experience: Not the best experience
Negative experience: I would not recommend this driving school, my daughter took this course twice and paid almost 1200 dollars. The reason we took it twice is because the first time we took the class we missed a couple tests due to Covid protocols and they have no forgiveness for missing classes, so we failed. I called in and decided to take it again because my daughter needs to get a pass so she can get her license. I asked them if she could just take the tests again or something because she passed everything in the last course, but they said no. So I paid for the whole class again and sure enough we miss some tests because of school and work and they don’t even let us reschedule they just fail us AGAIN. So I call in and explain that it wasn’t my daughters fault, I had to work and please don’t fail her again, let her make up the tests and their answer was NO again. I can’t stand businesses that have no remorse for the real world, life happens! There are 7 driver’s education businesses within 10 miles. I would recommend taking your teenager somewhere else, somewhere with nicer employees that at least act like they care what happens….
Negative experience: While looking at responses from the owner regarding negative feedback'; it seems the company's response is aggressive/slightly bullying. If most people have the same complain about disrespectful behavior with your staff, it's probably true. Everyone is not lying. Stop creating a culture where it's okay to escalate problems and not use any deescalating skills. You’re dealing with mainly young adults. We should have a better community of supporter than what's being displayed here. ( Like I said, " Response from Owners are telling) My mother was there. I heard her report. ( We know who responding to these reviews) Not slick. Judging is real. You within yourself know when your doing wrong.
During the interaction you are referring to, your adult son signed in alone to take a test. The staff member heard “noise” coming from the stocking cap he was wearing pulled down over his ears. She politely asked him to pull the cap up to make sure he was not attempting to use electronics while testing. She asked politely several times and he refused each time. At that point she informed him that if he refused to comply she would not be able to let him test, and he would lose his ability to test here. He refused again so she refunded his money and he left. Her demeanor was professional through the whole transaction. I’ve captured and reviewed the video/audio to verify the interaction. There was no “escalation”. Per the Dept. of Licensing, the use of electronics is strictly prohibited during testing. The staff is required by the Dept. of Licensing to ask testers to remove hats, hoods, ear buds, smart watches, etc. The staff undergo extensive training and certification to become licensed to administer these tests. They must comply with the rules of the Dept of Licensing or risk losing their license as well as jeopardizing the business license. It’s unfortunate My staff’s professionalism is being targeted for following procedure. After viewing the video/audio I’m grateful for the opportunity to address the situation after being review by someone who wasn’t even there.
Negative experience: Teacher continuously kept refusing to let me in the classroom meeting after being there on time and tried to say I was absent
Fantastic experience: They really worked around the crazy schedule and my son is a great little driver. Even of some snow driving experience.
Negative experience: This is the worst place! Don’t waste your money and time!!! Like the other reviews saying, now I regret I didn’t see the review before registration. when you registered the front desk would say everything just make you believe they are professional and helpful. When the instructor canceled the driving lesson in last minute they just call and say sorry; when I happened to cancel a scheduled lesson, I was told to pay $50 for that. They said the time will not be a problem when the instructor cancel my last lesson in last minute right before my longterm summer camp. Then I was signed out by saying incomplete because of refusing pay more and time is out. That means all the time and money all gone !!! I am very serious and angry about that!!! The front desk is very disrespectful and hung up when I talked to her.I will be contacting State Attorney General further to file unlawful business practice.
We are very clear in the beginning if you do not show up to a scheduled drive you must pay a $50 fee (still unpaid) before a replacement drive will be scheduled. We did have an emergency with an instructor but we gave you a replacement drive right away. When you postpone finishing you take a chance on our schedule having availability to accommodate your last minute needs. Unfortunately you reached out a month past your deadline. You also signed into 7 out of 15 classes after class had already started. We have over 500 students a year and almost all have no problem successfully completing the requirements in a timely manner. The front desk did not hang up on you...it was you who hung up on us after ranting.
Fantastic experience: Very helpful testing location, instructors are very safe and have a lot of patience with new drivers. My daughter took the written and the driving test here and passed the 1st time on both. You test in Ford Focus. Highly recommended, but you have to study and practice. The tester explains mistakes and make sure you know your hand signal. Turning signals is mandatory
Negative experience: exorbitant prices, staff is very rude and disrespectful
Our drivers ed program is currently the lowest price in the area. Our knowledge and drive tests are also. Knowledge tests currently are 2 tries for $25 and drive tests are $50 in our vehicle. I think you may be confusing us with another business. Without your real name there is no way for us to look up if you have been in our business.
Negative experience: SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSE WHERE THE GIRLS FAIL YOU FOR NO GOOD REASON AND ASK YOU COME BACK AND PAY THEM. THEY ARE NOT FRIENDLY AND ESPECIALLY TO PEOPLE OF COLOUR.. I write this in response to you petty feedback, address your bad service don't tell people what names they should use on social media platform besides those who come to you have family and friends who can post on their behalf
A 6 month search of our DOL score transmission history does not show any failed knowledge or skills tests under this name. Numerous Johnson knowledge and skills tests entered and all passing.
Fantastic experience: Very friendly and helpful
Fantastic experience: I got knowledge test done here for $25. It was very professional and the vibe was very welcoming. I passed and I honestly felt the test was easy to read. Would come here for driving lessons 10/10
Positive experience: Small but good; very efficient. Took here written and driving test, didn’t take the school. Friendly stuff. 2 attempts for $25 for written test - fantastic! $50 for driving test.
Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this drive school, affordable pricing and good drive instructors. I'm a 20 year old who payed for the adult driving lessons which was $399. The price was awesome compared to others. It was very difficult finding adult drive lessons and this place made the process super easy and simple. Best money ever spent ! I could not have gotten my driver's license if it were not for this place. I also took my 1st knowledge test here, i tried about 4 or 5 times at other locations, ik a lot i just have really bad anxiety, and trust me this school has the best test questions, they make sense unlike some of these more expensive places. I would not listen to the negative comments, just do it you won't regret it. Thank you for the staff at 1st ave drive yall are the best.
Fantastic experience: This is hands down the best place I've ever went to I can never thank you guys enough the lady at the desk sorry I didn't remember your name and lacey I believe you guys are the best thank you for making a dream come true
Negative experience: This is the worst place, save your time and go somewhere else. False information and hang up when you talking to them. I will be contacting State Attorney General further to file unlawful business practice.
You called on the phone to schedule a drive exam for a person under 18 years old who has not completed Traffic Safety Education. In the state of Washington persons under the age of 18 are required by law to complete a Traffic Safety Education (Driver’s Ed) course to be eligible to take a state drive exam. We verify eligibility when scheduling drive test appointments. This information is readily available on the Department of License website www.dol.wa.gov as public knowledge. You became argumentative, aggressive, and insulting when we provided you the information of that state law, so at that point we told you we were ending the call.
Negative experience: The cars for the driving tests are old and dirty, the steering is clunky and the pedals are stiff and unresponsive, the dash is covers in thick layers of dust
Our records do not indicate us registering your name for a drive test. Perhaps you've confused us with another business? Our vehicles are routinely inspected and serviced by a highly reputable local auto service company. We wipe down to sanitize our vehicles between each driver per covid-19 requirements. We are also subject to audits by the department of licensing. Most drivers education vehicles are basic and easy to operate for the ease of students.
Fantastic experience: Very amazing driving school! instructor was very polite and professional not to mention this is one of the most affordable places you can go to take your drivers test! I would recommend to go here over anywhere else! 10/10 (:
Negative experience: Throughout the entire class they have done nothing but belittle and teach only statistics. There is no part of the written or drive tests that are in any way focused on statistics. The staff flat out lies about scheduling and parent response. In their reply they continue to be dishonest and yes they finally refunded my money but right before my student was to graduate. All the wasted weeks and extremely unprofessionalism is all that they strive to do at this very poor driving school that waits till the end to show you the door simply because you leave an honest (bad) review. BEWARE
Our program consists of several topics on each day of the 15 class sessions and is approved by the State of Washington Traffic Safety Education. We provide workbooks for each student that help address each topic during the class sessions. Statistics are covered for a specific class topic to which they relate, but not as the sole focus of the classes. Our goal is to prepare students to be good safe drivers, not just to pass a test. Driving is a big step in a young individual’s life. We have expectations of the students and the parents for how they conduct themselves during the program. Our staff does not lie. If there is a misunderstanding or a mistake, we willingly correct it. Scheduling drive times for 60+ students is challenging and In your case if you had responded back to our original email or phone calls in a timely manner there would have been no confusion. It seems we have not lived up to your expectations. We have removed your student from the program and processed a refund back to your card. Good luck with your future experience at another driving school.
Fantastic experience: Glad that we called this place. Professional, the communication is good and was very helpful.
Negative experience: Says staff has great communication, I disagree. I wish I would have done more research and payed for a higher rated school. My mistake for trying to save a few bucks.
Thank you for your feedback on our communication. We will certainly look at extra ways to present the information that students need to purchase a permit from the DOL to be able to participate in the drive lessons with the instructor. Along with information provided on the DOL website, we send two parent emails, with detailed instructions, prior to class starting. The students go over the permit process on the first day of class with the teacher. Students are provided workbooks which detail the permit requirements and process. We have a mandatory parent meeting, (you did not attend) which also addresses this. Needing a permit and the consequences of not having one physically when coming to a drive is talked about regularly throughout the 15 class sessions (which your student attended). We provide each student with a convenient “permit holder” to attach to their phone to help insure they have the permit when coming to their drives. We also have office hours and staff available to answer questions 6 days a week. We provide an excellent program and charge a very reasonable price with the anticipation that students and parents will have a commitment to the process requirements so we are able to maintain the pricing we offer. We are always interested in hearing how we're doing and welcome suggestions on how we can be 100 percent successful with getting parent support with the information we currently provide.
Fantastic experience: I have generalized anxiety disorder and performance tests really get to me. I chose to do my license driving test here as they offer a 30 minute warmup. The secretary was the kindest when scheduling the appointment. When I went in for my warm up and test the instructor was very kind and professional. If you have performance anxiety or just need to get used to the car before your license test, I absolutely recommend this facility!!
Fantastic experience: So friendly, helpful, & affordable. The staff here are great and helped settle our daughter's nerves before her drive test. The best part was they gave her some very helpful tips to help her do her best on the exam. I highly recommend this school.
Negative experience: I walked in for the written test. I had no clue what I'm supposed tell them other than I need to take a test for the dmv. The blonde lady either didnt want to be there or didn't want to deal with me. At one point said I have better things to do with my time. She tossed my id on desk and I just walked out, i won't be going back and id suggest the management put someone polite in office because they are your business first impression to the customer. The first impression i got today lost you a customer
Hi Brandon, We have several blonde ladies working and none recall someone "walking out" around the time you posted this review (and video cameras captured nothing). If you had picture ID you would have been signed in for a knowledge test and your picture ID (or any other) certainly would not be tossed back at you. We offer knowledge tests 6 days a week but picture ID is a requirement.
Fantastic experience: Pretty great...my daughter was very comfortable with her first drive. The instructors are top notch, and are relaxed enough to not freak the kids out.
Fantastic experience: Excelente magnífica instrutora que me examino muy amable les doy 5 estrellas
Fantastic experience: Just passed my driving test. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful! Made me feel comfy and gave me good tips. I was very very nervous, the instructor was very friendly. I passed! Highly recommend it!!!! Soumaya
Negative experience: This lady need to be put out of business. Have to let the better business bureaus, what happen & how she is a misrepresentation of the school. Don't waste your money.
Fantastic experience: I must have given them 10 stars Very professional and helpful
Fantastic experience: Affordable, friendly office staff and instructors! I highly recommend them!
Fantastic experience: The employees are great! The test examiner was awesome, down to earth, nice all around!
Fantastic experience: Very direct, very nice. Kid starts jan 5th, so we'll see how it goes. Price is better than some places.
Fantastic experience: Perfect
Fantastic experience: This place had the BEST customer service and SUPER military friendly! Jess went out her way and made sure I was taken care of and their staff was super professional. I highly recommend this business!
Negative experience: i called them multiple times to confirm my drive time, and i got no answer. i decided to just go with one of the times i thought and they then called my mom to say i’m late and i have 5 min to get there. i rushed down there and when i got there they said i was entirely too late and now i have to pay $50 and reschedule my drive which won’t be available for the next month. they also all have attitudes. bad place with awful communication
Fantastic experience: Very polite and awesome instructor!
Positive experience: Signed up my daughter for the course and she said it was extremely helpful. And for me as a parent it was very affordable. However, the times offered are difficult due to trying to get her there during the heaviest traffic hour. Maybe consider 7 to 9pm or 8 to 10pm classes?
Fantastic experience: This school is amazing. I took my classes here, and I loved them, they were very enjoyable, Dennis made them fun. I took my driving test today with Dennis, and Casey and I was really nervous, but I got more comfortable, everyone at the school is really nice. Going on my drives, my instructors didn't ever freak out, they talked in a calm voice, I can't thank my driving instructors enough for helping me with my driving confidence. Especially Tonni, Dennis and Casey for being patient with me on my drives :) thank you everyone!
Fantastic experience: 1St Avenue Driving School Is Top Notch! I am 47 years old and scared to death to get my license but I finally did it yesterday thanks to this amazing school! When I got there I was so nervous, felt like I was gonna throw up from anxiety but the receptionist was very calming and patient as I took my written and I passed! Next was the drive about 5 hrs later so my anxiety was even more intense! So there I was 5 hrs later getting into the car they provide with my instructor Kari and it was great. She made me feel very relaxed and it was that easy! And bam I passed! This place is the reason why I have my license because they gave me the confidence that I needed to succeed! I highly recommend this place to anyone who has the same fear I did! Thank you 1ST Avenue Driving School for this life change!
Fantastic experience: Great instructors. Easy to schedule driving sessions.
Fantastic experience: I had recently called to find out information for my son who will be ready for driving school this summer. I ended up talking to the front desk office manager for a while. She genuinely seemed interested and not rushed and very willing to make sure that I had everything I needed to make a decision. I definitely will be choosing this school to teach my son.
Fantastic experience: great school.instructors are to the point. which I like. cut the bull* please maybe that's why people thought they were rude? perfect fit for us. to each their own.
Fantastic experience: The receptionist is soooo nice and very supportive. I had a warm up drive before mu road test and my instructor is so calm so it made me less anxious during the exam. He answered my questions politely and didn’t pressure me at all.. thank you..
Fantastic experience: My experience with the staff has been nothing but professional. They are all friendly polite and courteous. I passed my knowledge test then went back a week later passed my driving test. The driving instructor is awesome, she made the process relaxing and stress free. Awesome services and highly recommended.
Fantastic experience: I LOVE THIS PLACE! Kari was amazing she was my instructor, I did the young adult drive lesson package and it was totally worth the money! I learned so much in just 5 drives I was super nervous but Kari had so much patience for me and taught me so much while I was out on the road with her. The front desk lady Jessica was a total help to she always was rooting for me when I took my knowledge test though I failed the first time and she made coming in early a delight. The third time was a charm! I got my license yesterday and I couldn't be happier I finished a huge milestone for me thanks to THIS driving school! Patsy was also a very welcoming person she had confidence in me when I was nervous before my drive test. My instructor really gave me a confidence I haven't ever felt in myself before. I would recommend this to anyone afraid or nervous about driving and has anxiety about it like I do. YOU found the right place so..GO sign up! because I LOVED it.
Fantastic experience: Have put two kiddos through down here. Fantastic instruction. No nonsense and committed. No cutting corners. Highly recommend if you want your young driver's to get an actual education not just pushed through.
Negative experience: Horrible school with rude staff.
Negative experience: Patsy was one of the rudest people ive ever delt with was very unprofessional and just mean. Was given a refund because she said she cant do it. No one should go here
Fantastic experience: My daughter had a great experience. Everyone friendly and nice and she passed. Thank you much appreciated. I would recommend. Price was very good too.
Fantastic experience: I took my knowledge test and driving exam here. Excellent customer service, wait time, and scheduling. They have competitive pricing and are informative in preparation for the test. If you fail your first attempt on the knowledge test, you have 30 days to take your second attempt. I did not attend their school, but the classes seemed very knowledgeable and informative, especially for the price. If you want quality drivers ed and testing at an affordable price, I recommend 1st Avenue. They are not out to dupe you or milk your money on the driving exams.
Negative experience: Not only did they try to make me take this post down by intimidation, they also have threatened me and have done nothing but harrass me. Please do not go here. Please go somewhere else

Fantastic experience: Excellent attention, they have the must kind and patient staff, was a great experience.
Negative experience: The instructors are crooked the will write you up for stuff you don't do.
Negative experience: Dont Go Here if you want to take driving test they will fail you like i experience i try twice and fail . . They just take your money the OLD WOMAN say i did not put my blinking AND she also said im not looking on my Blind spot what a lier . .

Negative experience: Worst experience. And older lady was there and she was just being so rude.
Negative experience: Had to wait almost two hours to take a test, even though I made an appointment.
Fantastic experience: Great customer service! Staff is very nice and cooperative. Affordable too. And very quick. Better than most place I've been in.
Negative experience: Disappointed we drove to 1st Avenue Driving School just to have the doors locked, and office closed. Please update business hours at your website, and business hours shown in window.
Fantastic experience: It was great! Cassie at the desk took my my call, had me in that day, gave me my written and driving test. I was done in less than an hour with enough time to get my license. I felt comfortable and not nervous at all. Sean says thank you for everything !
