Fantastic experience: Thank you Robert and Viva driving school! Overall great experience with the driving lessons and very accommodating in picking me up from my house. I drove comfortably in unfamiliar areas and even drove on the freeway which I never thought I’d do. I also passed my driving test on the first try. 10/10

Fantastic experience: David and the team at VIVA were very helpful and accommodating when trying to schedule my twin daughters’ driving lessons. We had a unique situation and David was patient and friendly as we worked thru scheduling challenges. Their driving instructors are very professional, knowledgeable and courteous and helped get my daughters on their path to their licenses.

Fantastic experience: Just passed my test! George is a fantastic instructor - very patient and knowledgable. I felt extremely prepared for the test after 6 hours of classes. The administrative staff (Dayz) is super helpful, and I felt like my lessons were well curated to suit my needs.

Negative experience: Paid 10 hours for my wife and barely learned from them and failed the test horribly. She only had 5 minute parking lesson from them, some of the instructors was more distracting than helpful, talking about their lives etc... She even ask to learn the free way on the last lesson and they completely disregard her. We asked them to give us a discount for another two more lesson but they refused. Had to pay another 5 hours with another instructor and later passed the test.

Fantastic experience: BEST DRIVING SCHOOL EVER... HELPED ME TO OVERCOME MY DRIVING ANXIETY... GOT MY LICENCE EASILY. (as a 35+ yo first time driver) Like many people in my age that had never taken their license, I was anxious about driving. In my previous attempts with another driving school just before finding VİVA and years ago with my parents I had near-collision experience so I was scared to death when I first started with Instructor Robert: I was even hesitating to hit the gas beyond 10mph in my first lesson. However, he was such a nice instructor, calm, professional, skillful, safe and supportive and encouraged me so much to overcome my anxiety and get my license easily in my second attempt. He was the real hero behind my success. Besides Instructor Robert, when he wasn't available, I took lessons with Instructor Dean, Dave, Sam and Noha all of them were nice, calm, professional, well-skilled and helped me to better my driving skills. All of my instructors were there on time, we had great communication, and they encouraged me while also respecting my borders and fears. All of the cars that I had driven with Viva were well equipped and fully branded with driving school logo and signs indicating it was a student driver inside. The routes that Viva and Ins. Robert had been choosing, were all wisely structured to teach the student the essentials with increasing challenges step by step: It was the perfect example of curriculum design for a hands on learning process. Last but not least, Daisy from the Viva office showed me she was in my team all the time, always tried her best to adjust the schedules, find me the best instructors, understood my needs as a student and informed me at every step about lesson scheduling, payments, exam scheduling, lesson heads ups, and responded even my silliest questions (I now see that some were really dumb questions) with great patience and with all of her sweetness. Positive experience: Great teachers and services! Except for George, he was obnoxious and demanding spoke too softly, so I couldn't hear him. I learned nothing from him, and on top of it all, he was pretty condescending and kept interrupting me. I don't know how he got his job here.

Fantastic experience: I love this company. Always professional, and the best prices in and around Pasadena area. They pick up and return you home! Using their cars for the DMV's test is also available.

Apart from excellent exam preparation they took my on freeway and taught even much more. Recommend this school to everyone whether you are new or experienced.

Fantastic experience: I had to stop depending on uber and the bus to get to work or to go out. I knew I had to start driving, I stopped because of my experience with another driving school. I found CDS and read their reviews. I then looked them up on social media and saw they had a good rate of students passing their behind the wheel test. I called them up and sure enough I was greeted and given the information I needed. I booked the 3 day 2 hour classes, the car rental, and an extra hour right before the test. I learned a lot as my instructor Edgar made learning fun. Never yelled or told me harshly that I been messing up. He kept a vey positive attitude. I kept practicing some movements until I nearly perfected them. Come test day, he suggested I add another hour of practice warmup. Best choice I made. Had it not been for that warm up hour I would have not passed. Today I finally passed my test on my first try and got my license. Best school to recommend to anyone needing drivers training. Fantastic experience: We highly recommend Viva Driving School. My daughter was nervous to learn to drive, and Sam was patient and encouraging. He even gave us tips about the different DMVs in our area and had her drive the route. She passed the first time! We also scheduled a one-hour freeway driving lesson for her with Sam, which was money well spent.

Fantastic experience: I took my driving lessons with Viva Driving School. I had no prior driving experience. I had instructor Sam. He taught me everything I need to know about driving. He was always very patient and helped me improve my driving skills until I was ready for my driving test. I ended up passing my driver's test on my first try! Fantastic experience: Best driving school ever! I've booked 6 hours behind the wheel training with instructor Sam and then 2 hours DMV Test with David. And passed it from the first attempt at Pasadena DMV despite getting the toughest examiner! During the training Sam took me to examination area and we did all required maneuvers there. He is extremely friendly and professional. He corrected all my mistakes and gave me a lot of valuable suggestions. David is very friendly guy as well. He picked me up one hour before the test and verified that I remember how to do all the elements of the exam. Thank you so much Sam and David for making me happy California licensed driver. Recommend 1000%

Fantastic experience: Excellent school! The instructors I had (David, Sam, Dave) were all very friendly, patient and professional, noticing every mistake and telling how to correct those. I only took 10 hours and was able to pass the behind-the-wheel test with 4 mistakes. They took me to the DMV as well, explained what the test consists of and reminded of the tricky parts. And even accommodated me when they were fully booked and I needed a two-hour block to pass my test -- one of the instructors was working on his day off! Thanks, Sam!! Overall, extremely positive experience. Recommend 10/10

Positive experience: I did the 3 behind the wheel training lessons for $315 as a teen. First going there I was quickly taken care of, I would say less than 10 minutes. Communication and service seems good. I would say that sometimes the cleanliness is questionable especially during COVID-19 (not wiped down, masks sometimes slipping out). Overall it was a good experience.

Fantastic experience: Extremely nice and friendly instructors. The receptionist is super nice and understanding I had less than 1 month to get my 6 hours of required instructor driving and the receptionist was able to get me scheduled in. I had instructor Sam and he was amazing 11/10 would recommend him, he gives a lot of tips and explains in detail, I learned a lot during the lessons. Definitely recommend taking this driving school.

Fantastic experience: My son took a 10 hour driving package with Viva. He passed the DMV drive test yesterday. He practiced with 3 instructors. All of them are good. He likes Sam because he is friendly, patient and always smiling. Sam went with us to the DMV and guided us which window to go before and after the test. I will recommend Viva and Sam to anybody needing a driving school.

Bert is more reserved, gives more of a blunt assessment of your skills. Recommend both to prepare for the driving test. Randy took me to my test-helped with nerves (you know how parents can be). Fantastic experience: Randy is such an amazing driving instructor he made me feel very comfortable on the road and it was my very first time driving. I thought I’d have an insane panic attack but he was very patient and calm with me. He gave detailed instructions and let me know all the rules of the road. Previously I had had other instruction so I didn't stay the full course at VIVA but I would definitely recommend this school to anyone else looking to learn to drive and pass the driving test. Other conveniences: - Pay Online - They'll schedule your driving test for you if you are using their car for it (Pasadena or Glendale DMV only) - Pick-up for lesson and drop-off after at desired address(es) - School cars (Prius C) are nice and well-maintained

Fantastic experience: Overall the instructors have been good with my son (almost 16). We had to cancel a session and then had to scramble to get a new session before his drivers test--they were great in making that happen. Our younger son will go to Viva in a few years!

Fantastic experience: Instructor Razz was cool and patient with my driving. Knowing your instructor has control of the vehicle puts off a lot of stress when first starting off. Razz explains things very well like road markings, dip, signs, etc. Scheduling is easy people on the phone are nice.

They really prepared me for the written and practical tests. They made me feel confident for both of my tests. I would highly recommend them for new teenage drivers.

Fantastic experience: My instructor, Hovig, was great at preparing me for the test. I bought a 10-hour package as I had never driven before. He was excellent at teaching me what is required for the test and what I need to do to be a good driver. At the end of my 10 sessions, I felt completely prepared to be on the road by myself. I passed my test the first time.

They were able to accommodate my schedule and I was able to take the driver's test after two 2-hour lessons. I took my driver's test on the third lesson and passed! The instructor was patient and challenging in order for me to become an alert and cautious driver.
