It's all thanks to my teacher and my ability to learn. Yes, the reason I passed was because I studied, but I also trust my teacher and his words! Negative experience: Very Unprofessional. We called, we’re told to be there at 3pm for driving test. We get there and the guy doesn’t know anything, wanted us to wait for 1 hour till one of the ladies came back but even then it wasn’t for sure we could take driving test. Frustrating experience.

Negative experience: Today I found out my son had noticed the "Teacher" texting while my son was driving. If it is up to a Parent to practice with their son, there is no way I would be focused on anything else other than the Student Driver. Don't raise your voice out of frustration from unanswered questions you may have. The "Teacher" and husband will threaten you on how happy I should have been not being there at the school, after raising my voice to his wife. I asked if he was threatening me, and he answered yes and how I was not allowed to call back. Trusting someone with your child's life in their hands will cause frustration and anger if simple questions cannot be answered by the people who are supposed to be teaching them. Please note that the Owner blames my son's ADHD disability on my anger that I had to use with them, due to not being able to get any answers from them. Having to show any anger on the phone has nothing to do with my son's ability to operate a vehicle. Read their response to this review's response from the Owner, and they still state that all of their attention is towards the students. They just tell you how my son will lie about how he noticed a "Teacher" texting during a practice lesson, when the Owners weren't even in the car at the time. The parents are always wrong in their eyes. They are there to only suck as much of the government's money as they can to buy nice cars you'll see in their photos.

Fantastic experience: The BEST driving school in the valley!!!! I am from Harlingen and it was worth driving my kids 30 min from my house to the school.I had a friend that recommended it to me because she had experienced trouble taking her kid to another school and she told me how she went to this school and finished with her son as quick as they could. So I decided to take my kids to the driving school and as soon as you enter the business they greet you and answer any of your questions as soon as they can. They are very honest and work with you depending on your situation . They explain every thing and all your payments. They are just very very honest people and both of my kids really loved the instructors. My kids are now driving and it only took the amount of months they promised !! I EXTREMELY RECOMMEND this school !! They are very honest people that are willing to work with you always and at all times they are open !!

Negative experience: Warning! Do not got to this school! The owner is rude and does not stand by the contract. After covid I called to schedule my sons driving test that I had already prepaid for, only to be told that I would have to pay additional charges because I did not have my son test within 6 months of attending school! Covid was no exception! The owner also told me that if my 16 year old son did not keep paperwork given to him during class he would not test him. I explained that I have the original contract where I paid for the driving test however, the owner was extremely rude and stated that even though the additional charges are not stated on the contract the students are told of the potential extra charges. As a tried to explain that he cannot hold kids accountable for additional charges especially when a contract is already in place and it does not state anything about additional charges, the owner tried to correct me saying he does not teach kids to drive, he teaches “young adults” and the “young adults” are told of the additional charges. The owner uses the words “young adult” to justify his actions on adding extra charges! He also said if he had a child thar was not responsible then he wouldn’t send them to a school. Insinuating my child is not responsible! Sorry to burst your bubble but children go to schools to learn responsibility!! For the record, I haven’t even asked my son if he has the paperwork just the fact that a person is trying to charge more after a signed contract and payments have been taken is fraudulent and not ok!!! I even told him I would bring the contract and all the paperwork that I signed when I paid for the driving classes however, the owner was adamant that additional charges would be in posed. If you’re planning on paying close to 400 dollars on drivers education save your money and go to a school that will stand by their contract and not try to milk you for some more money! There are plenty of driving schools in the area, go to one that will respect you and your child and not try to scam you out of more hard earned money!

All the instructors mixed in the right amount of seriousness as well as being able to take a joke. Fantastic experience: Both of my kids have completed their driving instruction at 1st choice and I think they do a fantastic job. The office is extremely accommodating and I certainly appreciated them helping me book an appointment for my son at the DMV. Highly recommend.

The instructor presents us with information from the state, the AAA and personal experience which allows us internalize the lessons more while being provided with up to date tips. We're also taught to practice good habits such as the IPDE process, and habits about planning ahead for the drive.
