Negative experience: You need to set up a better answering service. We have tried to call several times and are not able to get a hold of someone or leave a message.

Fantastic experience: Great place my son enjoyed it while learning we had to make up a day and it was easy to do on the weekend . Always answer all our questions

Fantastic experience: i was so nervous and scared about learning how to drive, but this school has really helped me to become a good and save driver! the staff is so sweet , understanding and very informative. i took my drivers license test with them recently and passed on my first try! i would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is wanting to learn how to drive :)

Fantastic experience: I will never try learning to drive with my mom again. The instructors here are incredibly patient and understand how to work with students of all ages. It is evident that they clearly care about producing safe and effective drivers who will not endanger others around them unlike so many other dangerous drivers in the RGV. If you want your child to go from tricycle rider to (safe!) racecar driver in just a few short months, pick Benavides Driving School!

The 6 hours spent there flew by. I didn’t think I would actually enjoy spending a Saturday taking a mandatory course. I highly recommend them!

Negative experience: They lost my test for my teen class that i had paid for 6months ago now since i turned 18 they want me to pay 160 for my adult class when i already paid 270 for my teen class a while back horrible driving school choose c.o.p.s instead great school by the way guys the teacher enriquez is very unfair

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL THE DRIVING TEACHER, YOU HAD MY SON DRIVE ABOUT TEN MINUTES CAUSE YOU KNEW A GIRL WAS WAITING, MY SON HAS BEEN DRIVING FOR 2 YEARS YET THE INSTRUCTOR TELLS HIM AS THEY GET IN LOOK YOU DON'T ASK QUESTIONS JUST LISTEN TO WHAT I SAY, HE STARTS SPEAKING TO MY IN SPANISH (MY SON DON'T KNOW SPANISH) AND HIS ALARM ON HIS PHONE KEPT GOING OFF! CALL THAT DISTRACTION, PLUS DIDN'T EVEN TELL ME HOW MUCH TO RETEST CAUSE HE DIDN'T KNOW! THIS WAS ENRIQUEZ!

Negative experience: front lady with a big ring is very rude! and claims she is the supervisor. she did not allow me to even finish my complaint and was telling me “i don’t know who you are talking about. i don’t know the students name” well that’s because YOU cut me off while i was trying to explain the situation. they make you pay for forms that THEY should already have copies of in their files. VERY RUDE

Negative experience: I would give this company a ZERO if I could. They are very rude and not helpful at all. They don’t have anything in writing. They assume you know their prices and when you ask why you are being charged the amount they say that’s the rules but yet they didn’t explain them before and now all of a sudden you should have known. They like to point fingers as to whose fault it was that the information wasn’t provided. I asked for their prices in writting and they say they don’t have it written it’s just their policy. They over charge for the test the DMV gives you three chances and they charge for retests. They just want your money and they don’t actually help the students learn. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

Positive experience: Good service! The front office was very helpful with providing information when needed. The lack of air conditioning prevented this rating from being a 5.

Negative experience: Before I enrolled i had had a learners driving license for almost 2 1/2 years. I was told before i enrolled that i did not need to take the first 3 hours of class because they are only required for a certificate to obtain a learners permit (which i already had). Other than the first 2 classes, i attended every session except one. When i was told i needed to make it up, that one class was the only one i was told i needed. I finished the course and went to recieve my certificate of completion, but low and behold, i could not recieve it because i missed those first 2 classes. I tried explaining several times my story to the lady in charge, and she was in fact the one that said i did not need the first 2 classes. She eventually said that i still had to make them up contrary to her prior statements. As well as this, the instructors are not very knowledgable, approachable, and do not explain everything you need to know for the final test of the class (written by bds). On the final test, almost half of the questions were not covered in class, and had nothing to do with driving in general. One odd i questio i can remember asked about newton's law.

Negative experience: Unfortunately I have to give this company at least 1 star, otherwise they would get 0. This driving school is also the worst Harlingen location I've ever been to. The woman at the counter is very rude and disrespectful. She is not very helpful as she would not answer any of my questions. i told her that I did not appreciate her attitude and she then proceeded to tell me I should take the stick out of my A**. Needless to say I would not recommend this place to anyone. This place should be closed down.
