Negative experience: Sadly the registration process is horrible, and I am never successful at getting my sons into this program. Is something going on, under radar, that allows others quicker registration success? We were FAST! So, others are surely told or given some sort of easier way to register. I write this review out of disappointment. I have tried for years to get my 2 sons in for training. PDS only opens up slots at a particular time and day for training that is 5-6 months out. So each time I set my alarm and each time I have two of us on laptops to try and get them registered. Each time, in under 6 minutes, all 5 time slots are grabbed up before I can submit the forms. It is absolutely asinine. They referred us to some place else, with those people answering the phone and telling us that PDS keeps referring people to them, but they do not teach drivers ed. What happened to drivers Ed in schools? I mean, they took God out of schools, took away cursive writing, and drivers Ed. Shaking my head in frustration. So, whoever was fortunate to grab slots and take away our chance...enjoy. Stay safe on the roads and pray that I will eventually (before they turn 30! Lol) get trained.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend PDS driving school. Every staff member is great to work with and they equip the children with skills needed. From everyday to maneuverability. Our BTW instructor was great and feedback is provided after every lesson. There is a list in the office of what will be covered in each lesson. Yes, downtown Dayton is one of them, and our kiddo said it was the most stressful out of all the drives. They also send a list of what to practice with your children beforehand to help them be better acclimated to what is coming. Thank you for preparing our kiddo for the roads!

Positive experience: My 15yo really enjoyed the classroom learning and would often verbally refer back to what he learned while we practiced driving. The driving portion is the reason for the 4 star review. I completely understand the need to develop adequate driving skill, but these kids are not going to be master drivers at the end of 2 driving sessions and 25 hours with parents. My son was taken downtown Dayton for his 3rd driving lesson and covered in sweat when I picked him up. To me, that’s the most difficult driving a person can do. As an adult, I avoid downtown and I have 25+ years experience. I was just trying to get my teen comfortable on city and country roads, with maneuverability and parking prior to testing. It will take more than 6 months experience in my opinion for those more complicated driving skills like downtown, but the instructor made me feel like I was failing by not practicing in those ridiculously high stress areas in the first 3 months.

Negative experience: We were first to enroll exactly on 10 30 am but it’s hack in system for all slot within 1 min we got 404 or form disabled. This review is for enrolling experience .

Fantastic experience: Excellent driving instruction both in class and behind the wheel. Former police officers are the BEST instructors due to their real-life stories and experiences.

Fantastic experience: My 25 yr old went through it 10 years ago and he was a skilled driver from the start. Now my 16 yr old has completed the in-class and in-car training getting ready for his test. The quality is the best around. They care about keeping your child safe. I couldn't be happier.

Negative experience: I went online to sign my daughter up for driving school exactly at 10:30am Jan 4th 2024.Once it came for the payment part it said that the class was already full. I'm not sure how their system generates but we were on it. I think they should have in person enrollment at a certain time as well. The computer system wouldn't allow me to continue. All the classes were fill at 10:32am I didn't have this problem when I enrolled my other child it was easy breezy now it soooooooooo hard to get through the payment process. Hopefully they come up with a better way to enroll students. The reason I gave 2 stars is because they enrollment attempts sucks but the school is awesome.

Fantastic experience: Very bad experience. We were online immediately when the Registration opened at 10:30. We completed the form & upon submitting it we received a message informing us the class was full. We tried several other class dates/times but received the same message. How is this possible if we began the process as soon as Registration opened? The office was not taking phone calls until so there was no option to speak with someone at the school.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend PDS. The school is very organized and provides excellent customer service and instruction. My 16 year old son completed the course and passed his driving test on the first try. I feel like he is well prepared to be a defensive and safe driver.

Fantastic experience: I have a question if you are preparing for your road test, are we allowed to borrow a driving school vehicle for the driving test?

Fantastic experience: I personally went through the classes and In car driving lessons, along with some of the extra defensive driving training, my in car driving instructor being Mr.Caldwell, I could not recommend this company more for anxious parents, new drivers, or otherwise. When it was all over and time to get my license I felt 100% prepared for anything the test threw my way. After completing my license exam I felt completely over prepared for the test, in the best way possible of course. Mr.Caldwell, is one of the greatest, most down to earth people you will ever talk to, and he single handedly boosted my confidence on the road tenfold. I can’t express how much I recommend the courses offered by PDS.

Fantastic experience: We were told to go to PDS by so many people. We are so glad we listened. The instructors kept class interesting and informative. The in-car instructor we had was great at explaining things and treated my daughter and myself with respect. They were punctual and courteous. The skid control trainer was patient and helped explain how to get out of a skid clearly. We are so pleased with this group of people and will continue to recommend PDS!

Negative experience: This is not a good school for a special needs driver.

Fantastic experience: My daughter completed the new driver program, the skid training control class, and the 1 hour test prep. Overall she had a great experience. Jason, her behind the wheel instructor, went above and beyond to get her in last night for her 1 hour test prep before her drivers exam today after I had made an error with the scheduling earlier this week. Happy to report she passed today! Thanks PDS!

Fantastic experience: While I'm not sure I will ever NOT worry about my son while he is driving, I feel PDS did a great job preparing him for the road. Prior reviews convinced us to make the drive rather than try a different driving school closer to home. So glad we made that decision, it was completely worth it! Dean's personality was a great match for my son and I really appreciate how much he worked with him on the maneuverability. We will definitely be back when it is time for our daughter to drive.

Fantastic experience: We were very pleased with the thorough and caring teacher. (Great sense of humor, too.) The in-car lessons built upon each other, increasing my daughter's skill and confidence.

Fantastic experience: Had 2 kids go through their training and have been completely happy both times. I have peace of mind knowing that they get their behind-the-wheel training from police officers (currently serving or previously). Dean was great at explaining everything that was being covered during the driving lessons, what my daughter did well, and what she needed to improve. The office staff answers the phone promptly during office hours and are always very professional and helpful.

Fantastic experience: PDS is a great driving school!!! It is so comforting to know my daughter was trained by police officers. The entire staff was incredible and the communication was as well. Her on road driving instructor, Jim Young was a great match for teaching her and keeping her comfortable.

Fantastic experience: I have an older daughter who took driving school at a different school. We chose PDS for our youngest daughter and are so glad that we did! This school truly aims to teach new drivers the safest way. My youngest is a superb driver in a large part due to PDS. To be totally honest, I kinda want to take driving school with them and I've been at it for a while. :) We HIGHLY recommend this school!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: The office ladies are always so helpful and friendly. The owner is great and kept my attention during class. My in car instructor taught me a lot. Classes were great. I liked using the speed gun and checking out the semi truck.

Her driving instructor, Dean, was so patient, helpful and made sure we, the parents, knew how she was doing and what to work on. Fantastic experience: Outstanding instruction. We have put two of our three kids through this school (our 3rd couldn’t make the class schedule due to other school activities). I feel very confident this is the top program in the Miami valley. Don’t skimp on the instruction your child receives. This school will make conscientious, attentive and prepared drivers!

Fantastic experience: If I could give PDS TEN stars, I would! We chose PDS based on past reviews and were not at all disappointed! I feel a sense of relief knowing that my teenager is learning the tools needed to be a safe and become a good driver. Not only were the classroom instructors thorough and engaging, but our in-car instructor (Dean) was absolutely wonderful! His manner of teaching and how he related to my daughter were exactly what a nervous new driver needed. I also appreciated the time spent as a parent seeing her maneuverability lesson. Time and money WELL spent. Thank you for creating a new drivers' program that is so thorough. As a side note....on one evening when I was waiting during her classroom training, the battery died on the car and the folks at PDS were kind enough to help me and give the battery a boost! SO VERY appreciated!

Fantastic experience: We were extremely happy with the quality of the program that Professional Driving Systems offered. The didactic work covered the extremely relevant materials that our kids need to be out on the road by themselves. The individual "on road" experience was much better than we expected. Brad was very good about teaching different experiences from driving on the highway and driving in downtown Dayton as well as driving in the country. He was very thorough in his communication with us after each driving experience. We are very happy that we chose PDS for our driving school.

Fantastic experience: PDS is the best place to send your kids for a thorough, practical driver's education. They do a great job of keeping the kids' attention and communicating with parents. Scheduling and make-ups classes were convenient and flexible, even during the time of COVID-19 shutdowns. I allowed my oldest to take online classes and the cheapest in-car driving we could find, and I was not going to make that mistake twice! My younger child learned more from PDS and is a much better driver as a result. The extra money spent on classes is NOTHING compared to the money saved in traffic tickets, insurance, and damage to my car (and others) - and more importantly, it could save lives.

My son would often quote things he learned from class and they showed them a blind spot by sitting inside a semi truck. Road sessions were also great. Everyone was so kind and helpful! We will be back with kid #2!

I also enjoyed the parent class and really liked their curriculum. They are strict with their policies, as they should be. Driving is a huge responsibility and needs to be taken seriously. We had Brad as our driving instructor and he alone gets a 5 star⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Negative experience: Terrible company to work with. Would not recommend at all. No flexibility. Called multiple times to change course after unforseen work and sports schedule changes. Only offer was to push off classes for 6 months and no refund of money. Terrible!

Fantastic experience: 100% TOP NOTCH FACILITY. The staff was very professional when signing my daughter up for lessons. Everything was explained to us prior to starting the lessons. Joe Levigne was an outstanding instructor who made us feel at ease and who made my daughter feel comfortable and confident. I would recommend this facility whole heartedly. In reading the negative reviews, it amazes me how people cannot follow directions. We were given thorough instructions on what to do prior to our arrival. When we arrived there were two parents who acted as if they had no clue. These parents were upset with the staff. I find that the ones to give negative reviews are the ones who don’t and will never follow directions. Anyway, thank you PDS... We have two more coming up the pipeline and we will definitely be back.

Fantastic experience: We chose PDS for our daughters as it was very highly recommended by several other parents. We were very impressed with PDS from the very beginning and throughout the entire program. The office staff is kind, professional and helpful and the classroom and driving instructors were wonderful as well. We feel *less* nervous now about our girls getting their licenses. Fantastic experience: Our experience with PDS was great from start to finish. Starting with the front office staff to the classroom teachers and then to the on road driving instructors. Everyone was very helpful, knowledgable and committed to teaching our child the necessary information needed to be safe behind the wheel. The skid class is an absolute bonus. I wish I had had the opportunity to safely experience different road conditions and learn how to navigate them safely when I was learning to drive. I would recommend this program to anyone who puts a premium on safe driving.

Fantastic experience: PDS is EXCELLENT for driver training! Look no further... Multiple parents recommended them to us and we've since put both of our kids through their program. There are cheaper schools which are closer to our house, but we're glad we chose PDS. The law enforcement-based instructors are very good and go well beyond the state minimums for curriculum. Great program and a great investment in your child's safety!

I am an insurance agency owner and have talked with many parents(typically after their new driver was just in an accident) about how other driving schools prepare their students in the class room and on the road. In my opinion, PDS is hands down superior to the other programs in town.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic driving school. Even though it was further away, both my boys went to PDS and fortunately, both had Jerry as their behind the wheel instructor. The boys are way more prepared than I was at 16. Office is well organized too! Worth every penny!

Fantastic experience: All three of our children attended PDS and I couldn't imagine them going anywhere else and getting the quality of instruction they received. The staff was friendly and professional. Our three kids had three different instructors who were provided them with the knowledge needed to drive defensively and with confidence. We were grateful for their concern as our kids learned to drive.

Fantastic experience: I completed by BRC to obtain my motorcycle endorsement in 2012. Now, i am proud to say, my daughter completed driving training with them too. I have two more daughters, i won't send them anywhere else. Thank you PDS for what you've done thus far. Super proud of the service rendered to date. I highly recommend this company. They are professional and they give real, honest feedback to help you help yourself or your child.

Positive experience: The office staff are amazing and class room experience was wonderful. On road driving instruction was a completely different experience. Scheduling time with the instructor was VERY difficult but we managed to make arrangements that worked for everyone. Unfortunately the instructor had to change the time or day for every lesson of the afore agreed upon schedule. When I called to ask for another instructor due to the poor customer service and lack of planning on the current instructors part I was accused of rushing my child through her classes. I was not given another instructor but accommodations were made so that we could finish by the originally scheduled time. It took 9 weeks to completely finish the program. My child was also informed that her instructor was NOT a retired police officer or state trooper which is disappointing to me since this is one of the main reasons I chose PDS and feel as though this is a huge misrepresentation. All in all it was a decent experience and my child passed her driving test with a perfect score but due to scheduling issues and the customer service received from on road instructor I would not return to PDS.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I recently took the Skid Control training and it was fantastic!! As native Georgians new to Ohio we wanted to make sure we were prepared for icy and snowy conditions and what to do to prevent a skid or should we ever go into a skid. We learned both. While everyone is always told what to do in a skid, there’s nothing like actually being sent in to one and being able to navigate out of it without panicking and that’s exactly what this class taught us. I felt confident after leaving that I’m prepared and have the skills to control my vehicle in a skid situation and to prevent putting myself in that situation in the first place. Jeff was so friendly and patient and is great at what he does. I’ve had nothing but professionalism and courtesy since signing up to take the course with each staff member I’ve encountered. I love the phone call and email reminders with all the instructions and expectations of where to be and when for training. I highly recommend them to anyone and will definitely take our daughter there when she’s of driving age!

Fantastic experience: Very thorough training, and I really like how everything is done by active or retired law enforcement officers. The staff is very friendly, but strict on the rules (which they should be!)

Fantastic experience: The in class driving lessons are good, and my son really seemed to get something out of them, but I am SUPER impressed with the behind the wheel sessions. My son worked with Dean, and when I spoke with him to set up the sessions, he informed that he is "amazing". I challenged him on that and guess what? HE IS AMAZING. My son is not particularly interested in getting his license, and I was a nerous anxious mess just thinking about being in the passenger seat with a mostly uninterested teen. But after one lesson, my child was driving well enough for me to relax and have some confidence. Not only that but Dean has a really laid back style and sense of humor that made the whole process easy. He is done as of yesterday, and we may reach out for another session or two for manuverability before his test, but otherwise I feel like he really prepared my son well. HIGHLY recommended! Ask for Dean! But not so much that we can't book him if we need him. Ha ha, just kidding! Seriously, ask for him!

Fantastic experience: My son just finished up with his classes at PDS. The staff was very professional and my son really liked his instructor, Brad; which was important to me. I looked at all the different driving schools in the area and chose PDS because of the instructors background and skid control training. Did I have to wait 4 months to get him a spot in class? Yes. Did I pay a bit more? Yes. However....I got what I paid for and it was definitely worth the wait. Thank you, PDS!
