Fantastic experience: This driving school was great and very understanding. They were very accommodating and the staff was very professional and encouraging. Classess are not overcrowded. Resources/trucks are plentiful. Simulators are very helpful. Definitely recommend to anyone serious about obtaining their CDL.

Negative experience: This school is not recommendable at all, I was missing 30 hours of class and they did not want to give it to me, I had to pay extra money when everything was paid for. They treat you super bad, the trucks all have flat tires, the manager speaks to you badly and where you take the 40 hours of classes everything is cold in winter, everything is poor hygiene and the instructors teach very badly because one tells you not to pay attention to the other, they confuse you on how to do the practice, very poor coordination. The physical exams you can go personally to a place to do them. If you pay them at school they steal up to 40 extra dollars, an exam costs 60, they charge 40, you have to be careful, it is the worst school 0/10.

Fantastic experience: Finishing up my last week at Winsors. Comparing the reviews with my experience is completely different. I was almost discouraged reading the reviews but it was different when I got here. The staff, Hector and John, give proper and helpful instructions, you just have to put the work in learning and following the instructions. Not grade school no one's holding your hand, you're given time to get familiar with the maneuvers and ample opportunities to ask questions if need be. I recommend coming if you're ready.

Negative experience: I applied for training in this school twice and was denied twice. I feel I am being denied possibly because of race because I don’t understand why I was denied if I am more than qualified for the training seeing that I am. CDL driver already and was simply seeking to upgrade from a class B to an A. I empathize certainly will not apply to this school again since there are plenty of other schools that will do the training without discrimination.

Negative experience: This “school” (Windsor driving School) if you can call it as such, is supposed to teach you to drive, but they do anything but teach. The instructors are horrible teachers, they do not have a way of teaching that will help you to drive. They all contradict themself. You bette off learning on your own watching YouTube videos because they are not going to teach you anything. They try to confuse you even more just to have you upgrade to a higher number of hour. They do not stick to the contract when you try to upgrade and John the owner comes with new policies to overcharge you the amount that he desires and not as per contract in order to buy an upgrade. Be very careful with this school. I personally have a terrible a experience. I also will file a complaint against this business with the better business borough with the State of New Jersey. Consumers affairs has to be aware of the rip off of this so call driving School.

Fantastic experience: Winsor is a great school with a lot of opportunity. They are hands on with you and even having a driving simulator if you’re not use to driving a truck. They are very positive and love to help people get their cdl license. They help me so much that I want to help others in the future I would recommend them to everyone.

Negative experience: For the Expense of what you're paying for, my expectations were too high. For starters they don't have enough instructors for each student so you max out on 2 instructors for 7 students. Instructors were great btw. Each one house a unique technique they can teach you that you can take to make your own. Their selling point is the virtual simulator which in my opinion dosnt do justice for the overall knowledge of getting a feel of an actual tractor, gives instant motion sickness. The reason for my scoring tho is the quality of one on one time and the actual knowledge given to prepare you for the examiner. The place is dump! For the living conditions it matters when you can't focus in the dead of winter. But I didnt come there to relax in a spa I came there to learn which brings me to my last reason which was the quality of one on one time. Not just one-on-one but the content they hand us in general, is literally the same stuff you get from the DMV and they tell you read everything esp. sec. 11 and your on your own. Of course they make themselves available for you in case you have any questions. But if I am paying close to if not $5k for some quality education I expect it to be worth $5k, not something the DMV does for free! Overall I failed the first time simply off the fact there was things that wasnt pointed out to me that they should have noted before sending me off to the lions! And the second time I passed simply because I went on youtube to study more in detail what they expect combined with my past failed experience. That alone should tell you how much of a waste $5k was. But I did get to use their equipment... I guess.

Negative experience: Today was the day I finally passed my road test. I am so glad all of this is behind me. WINSOR School is the worse school to go to. I went to IDEAL DRIVING School where they taught me how too operate a truck. I was determine too pass so I spent 3000$ cash out my pocket to make sure I passed my road test. Winsor will sale you a dream for a dollar. Only reason you took me too my road test was because my job paid for Winsor too take me 3times. This was my last opportunity and I PASSED. Because I invested into myself and went to IDEAL DRIVING School for driving lessons.

Fantastic experience: I came into this school knowing a little bit about trucking. 3 months later, I finished my course with a lot knowledge about the various rules, functions, and maneuvers when driving a truck. The school has been very helpful in helping me learn how to drive a truck. I appreciate the instructors Hector, John and Phil for their teaching and wisdom. Office staff Giancarlos and Marianela are respectful and helpful with whatever I needed. I'm glad that I invested my time and money into this school and would recommend anyone who wants to obtain their CDL to do the same.

Positive experience: I really enjoyed the experience. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. As students we had a lot of time in the truck actually learning maneuvers.... hrs at times. The school provides the tools but you as the student must put in the work. The school owner was even out there helping with training. You would never know he was the owner... very unassuming. Overall I feel Winsor Driving school really wants to help change people's minds and in turn... their communities. Negative experience: I decided not to go to the school. I did not have any driving instructions or any of the classes and I informed the school of my decision in a timely manner. The policy is that they have 30 days to return my full deposit. So 30 days have come and gone and after numerous attempts by myself to contact someone absolutely NO ONE from the school has reached out to me to return my deposit.. so obviously they're trying to jack me for my money. Don't know much about the quality of their school but that's the type of people you dealing with...... Notice no response from owner.

Negative experience: This place is terrible!!! Don’t waste your time or money here!. They do not care to help you gain any knowledge. Truck was broken for three months and was still expected to pay 1500 before the test with no knowledge of how to properly drive/park the truck. Staff is very unprofessional so is the instructor. Everyday someone was going off on the instructor due to lack of teaching.(i have video proof of this happening on two different occasions) The women at the front desk are very rude and unhelpful.

Fantastic experience: I, Boaz Ovilma, attended Winsor Driving School to get my class A CDL . I was working a full time job, so I took part time class hours. Anyway I found the Winsor Driving School to have the small class size which allows you to get plenty of "Sit Time" to practice and master maneuvers. There are No Time wasted at Winsor, any time you are not in driving, you are doing Pre-Trips Inspections. The school have grow since the last time I been there, but the one thing that hasn't change is the great quality of instruction time. I still can hear my instructor, Hector, yell out, "Get Out And Look", a industry basic rule and something I repeat everyday. The great staff, small class sizes, and the chance to learn from real truck drivers who are in the industry, are my reasons I would recommend Winsor Driving School to anyone.

Fantastic experience: When I came to this driving school I had known nothing about driving Commerical truck and the most my challenged was straight backing but thanks to skillfull instructors they taught me everthing from the begining of pri- trip inspection up to the end. They have more than enough wide space and one to one training with supporting by simulation. Hostly the teams Marianela,Ivan Hector and Star are humble and respectful with enthusiasm for everybody even me I dont follow my schedule like Ivan. I cant pass Hector's enthusiasmness and patience and he never complain once a time when we call him here and there. I recommend anyone who want CDL! . this driving school is great even within this two months they have improved alot such as they have expanded the training place more than enough, and instructor of Star assign to give amazing pri trip inspection in easy and unforgetable way. She is really true Star!.

Fantastic experience: These guys are literally the mom and pop of driving schools in NJ. The office staff and trainers are super helpful and they really do care about you getting your CDL. Marianela and Evan are very diplomatic and Hector is a very enthusiastic and helpful instructor. Negative experience: Le recomiendo investigar las instalaciones de la “escuela “ y el método de enseñarles a los estudiantes en el parking ANTES de firmar un contrato vergonzoso, Observe usted mismo en persona ya que comparten la yarda con otros camiones de otra escuela. Soy chofer profesional desde 1996 en Ecuador y chofer profesional de trailer de transporte internacional en España desde el 2004. Llegué a esta escuela por error, ya que existe otra escuela (Driving Academy)con diferentes instructores, manual propio de enseñanza y camiones nuevos en las oficinas de al lado. Aquí me prometieron enviar videos a mi email y resulta que fueron unos links de otras academias, una de el estado de la Florida y los otros dos links eran de DRIVING ACADEMY (Ver fotos). Compré 8 horas ya que por mi modesta experiencia y no saber bien hablar inglés, solo necesitaba la enseñanza de PRE-Trip Inspection. Primer día, me hacen una evaluación de mi habilidad de estacionar el trailer, el instructor Héctor, me recomendó no gastar mi tiempo en este ejercicio y me dijo que me centre en practicar el PRE-TRIP INSPECTION, no tardé más de 6 minutos en hacer todas las maniobras que se requiere para pasar el examen de estacionamiento. Seguidamente el instructor me envió con UN ALUMNO a que aprendiera lo que yo había pedido y me descontaron 2 HORAS. En vista de qué la enseñanza no me la dio un instructor y viendo la informalidad y la falta de comunicación entre ellos pedí que me devolvieran el dinero , con lo que ellos se negaron y que me iban a devolver solamente $140 de los $950 que me habían cobrado , ya que estaban descontando el alquiler de camión por adelantado , los trámites y gestiones en la MVC. Etc etc. La siguiente vez que pude ir para no perder mi dinero, me encontré que habían siete personas practicando el PRI trip inspection alrededor del mismo camión, lo cual fue imposible yo poder practicar en condiciones normales. Pedí una cita para presentarme y me dieron para el día 12/20, luego me anularon y me pasaron al día 12/29, al final anularon porque no se habían acordado que no trabajaban esa semana, me llamaron el día 12/13 para darme una nueva cita para el miércoles 12/15 , fui a MVC de Rahway y nunca me pude presentar ya que solo había un cupo y se lo dieron a otro estudiante. Se disculparon conmigo y me ofrecieron dar un Route test de una hora antes del examen. Fui a hacer mi primer test de carretera con el manager y solo me llevó 20 minutos en calles que no pasaba nadie. Al final me presenté al examen y no funcionaba la caja de cambios, camión viejo y sin mantenimientos, no pude hacer el chequeo de frenos con l camión de caja manual. TODO ES UNA ESTAFA , INVESTIGA PRIMERO ANTES DE IR A ESTA ESCUELA.

Negative experience: My experience is the worst school everything is a lie the instructors ,they don’t know what are they doing , the communication is the worst, i drove the truck just one time and when you go with the instructors trying to ask questions they just ignore, or they said “give me one minute “ and they never come back, I took 4 hours but just one time drive a truck just 15 min, how I should to pass the driving test if they teache only 15 min in 4 hours? And when you gonna make a complain they said I will fix it , but hey never do anything. It is the worst school they only want your money and that’s all.

Positive experience: I didn’t rate them 5 star because i feel as a student I could’ve benefited more if we had more space to maneuver, but in the real world ample space to do maneuvers is a luxury. The instructors are very patient and knowledgeable and I was able to pass my road test using the information I gained from school the first time around. If you choose this school, trust the process and communicate, let them know what you need help with, and they won’t set you up for failure or throw u out to the wolves sort a speak by putting you on the test prematurely. I am very greatful for all they have done for me, all the information that was given to me as well. Fantastic experience: The Windsor Driving academy is hands down the best driving school in NJ by far. From the people in the office which include Mariella, Regina, Evan and John to the instructors which include Hector and Phil. All great people, who helped me achieve my goal of obtaining my Class A (manual) license, can do the same for you. If you are serious about getting your CDL (A,B or C) go no further than the Windsor Driving academy. It’s pretty much a lock that you will pass all your tests and most importantly you will gain a vast amount of knowledge at the school to really help you sharpen and hone your driving skills. If you’re reading this and considering a school to go to, take my word and come to Windsor. You will NOT be disappointed.

It was very helpful including behind the wheel practice. Phil was assigned to me to learn the needed pre trip requirements. Phil also took me to NJDMV with the truck to take the test. I just want to thank Evan and his Team for walking me through the needed requirements to pass the test and get my Class A license back.

Fantastic experience: Student to trainer ratio is 2 to 1, some days 3-1 but always plenty of time behind the wheel which is exactly what is needed. Everyone here is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Absolutely no complaints about my experience with Winsor.
