Negative experience: Just go somewhere else. Waste of time

Fantastic experience: The instructors were a pleasure to deal with. It took about 3 months to get completed, but at least this was mentioned online. I have some friends and their kids took somewhere else and waited double the time it took here but that could be because it’s Baton Rouge. Great driving school, my daughter had no complaints and she now has her license.

Negative experience: I’m seeing a lot of great reviews on here, which is why my wife and I decided to go with Road Scholars to get our daughter the required drivers ed. I can’t help but wonder if there’s been a change in ownership because our experience has been quite different than what I’m reading. After a positive experience taking the four day classroom portion, it’s been all downhill from there. It has been almost four months (the state mandated max time allowed) and not only has our daughter not even had her driving instruction scheduled, the lack of communication or response to our inquiries has been unprofessional and quite frustrating to say the least. I understand the school has many students to schedule and accommodate through the driving process, but for the amount of money these classes cost there should be much better communication and planning so that parents can plan accordingly. Four months of radio silence is unacceptable, not to mention how it’s made our 17yr old daughter feel knowing that our hands are tied until the school decides to call and provide some sort of update, which at this point will be on very short notice. This is unacceptable and inexcusable with all of the ways of communicating in today’s world. To be clear, I’m not upset with the length of time it has taken, I’m upset with the lack of overall communication. Especially when the instructor informed my daughter during her classroom training that they would be doing the driving portion based on age, with older kids going first. If by some miracle this experience turns around I will change my review, but we have a long way to go.

Fantastic experience: I had an awful fear of driving for years after having an miserable time in drivers ed, but a couple years ago I mustered up the courage to try again. At Road Scholars they were friendly and understanding of how I felt about driving, and really helped me get more confidence in my abilities. Thanks to them my second try was my last try, and I have had my independence ever since!

Fantastic experience: I am a 15 year old taking the course. They have great instructors that covers everything that needs to be learned.

Positive experience: I’m a 15 year old who took this class, and it was very easy going and informative. I enjoyed the class and had a great time. The only downside was that the information was a bit out dated. All of the statistics were from 10 years ago and many have been proven different or changed. Other than that, I highly recommend this class.

Road Scholars Driving was very courteous and scheduled his road skills test ASAP. They were very friendly and took the time to talk with him before the test. Positive experience: I feel like I could have been better prepared by the written test instructor, but he did cover the basic material fairly well. The driving instructor, however, was much better. He was good observing and helping when I was making mistakes, or getting nervous.

Everything was read aloud, the instructor answered every question that was asked. They gave us great example's through out the class of how to handle different situation while on the road. My experience of driving with them was great, Chris allowed me to drive as I pleased, he was great at reminding of my speed, turning, and staying focus. He didn't yell or get upset at my mistake's. He simple instructed me on how to fix with. He was great with driving on the interstate for the first time. I was scared but he help me stay come and gave great instruction's. I can honestly say I would recommend them to anyone I know !
