Negative experience: The female receptionist is extremely unfriendly. (September 23rd 2024, 9:11am) She shouldn't be doing this job.

Negative experience: unprofessional company and discriminates special needs and is too quick to kick kids out of a course without finding out what is truly goin on with the child. Then you loose your money to them and your kids don't get to finish the course. Therefore this company is sitting on piles of money after all the kids they have kicked out and it is a lot of kids!

Fantastic experience: I had Mr McEntire, in his class he taught me everything I needed to know and he was an amazing teacher. He was excellent during the driving super nice actually taught instead of getting mad if mistakes were made.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had Mr. Mcentire as her instructor both in class and on the road, and he was absolutely wonderful! He understands the anxiety of new drivers and lets them know that it’s normal. He is so kind and encouraging, and you can tell he truly wants to see his students succeed. We could not have asked for a better experience!

Fantastic experience: Ms. Phyllis Ray was an awesome instructor. Particularly, my daughter was extremely anxious and Ms. Ray handled the situation so professionally!

Fantastic experience: Mr. McEntire was so nice and we got a long great, i was lucky to getting him, and i’m writing this review because he made the experience enjoyable. Whoever gets Mr. McEntire will be lucky.

Fantastic experience: So awesome i had mrs.shook. a lot of people say she’s scary but honestly if she yells at you u probably deserved it because your mistakes could kill her. I passed btw so very good instruction

Fantastic experience: My driver was Mr. McEntire, he was a very funny instructor and excellent teacher I really enjoyed driving with him it helped me a lot on knowing the types of things I had to know and was really helpful and hope to see him agian thank you soo much:)

Fantastic experience: She was a good teacher and definitely helped me understand the material even if she was strict. However I feel that her being strict was one of the factors that helped me remember the material.

Negative experience: I had Tanya Shook and overall she is horrible, she made me feel like I was a danger to her even though I was following TRAFFIC. Everyday I was nervous to get in the car because all I knew was she was gonna yell at me constantly. She made me cry twice and this place did nothing for me and my family. She was also way to nosy of my personal life, and even assumed my dad didn't live with me. She is highly disrespectful and as a student driver I am saying this to parents, don't even let your kids drive with her and be aware of other driver educators. She also offended my own mom, and she has done the same things to my friends who had her. Im glad I get the chance to switch but overall this is not a professional place.

Fantastic experience: My teacher was Mrs.Shook. She was very helpful on the road and helping me understand what to do and when I needed to do it. I felt safe at all times with her.

Fantastic experience: My driving instructor was Phyllis. She was friendly, fun to talk to, and clearly knew her stuff. She made me feel comfortable behind the wheel. She was encouraging but also didn't hesitate to correct my errors. Very happy with my experience!

Fantastic experience: Ms. Michelle Roberts may be the driving instructor EVERY teen driver needs- she is patient and kind and gives constructive feedback. For parents, she’s easy to work with, for scheduling and specifics of driving instruction. After delays caused by the pandemic, our 16+ year old son finally got in-car instruction time- and we were grateful it was with Ms. Roberts. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We felt like we hit the jackpot. We also appreciated quick responses from Angie in the office as far as DMV questions and getting everything done in the proper sequence. Grateful to MPI! Thanks for your services!

Fantastic experience: Very professional, and caring. Billy Coren is an excellent instructor. Both of our sons received driving instructions from Billy. He is encouraging, calm and made our two boys feel confident and at ease behind the wheel.

Fantastic experience: I had a very good experience and really enjoyed my time with Ms. Ray. She made the whole experience feel comfortable especially for a new driver. I feel like more of a confident driver now and I am glad I had such a great teacher.

Fantastic experience: My daughter was taught by and drove with Mr. Canipe. She had a wonderful experience throughout. He answered all of our questions and went above and beyond to provide us with all of the information we needed to apply for her permit, even after the course was complete. We are so thankful for Mountain Professionals and for a great driving education experience for my daughter.

Fantastic experience: I can’t complain about anything ! My daughters instructor Gary was awesome ! Great to work with and made her feel very comfortable ! I hope all instructors are as good as he is !

Fantastic experience: The drivers Ed teacher Mrs Roberts is a wonderful patient person who immediately put my daughter with anxiety at ease. We could not have asked for a better person and feel blessed to have Mrs Roberts teach my daughter.

Negative experience: Our daughter had online classes earlier in the year which she finished then was told her doctors letter for her eye exam wasn’t enough, (she has no eye problems) so we done as they asked and they tested her eyes. After the test we waited and waited finally decided to call them to come and find out they had lost her results along with 18 other students. It’s now been 7 months and we still have not heard from them. We called again to check on everything only to be hung up on by the receptionist that answers the phone.

Fantastic experience: My daughter really enjoyed her lessons with Michelle Roberts; she is patient and responsive. Michelle listened to my input about specific skills my daughter needed to work on, and despite my daughter's initial disinterest in taking private lessons, she ended up having a great rapport with Michelle, and was able to build skill and confidence.

Negative experience: how are these guys still in business? the online portion is a joke, and now with COVID they do not return emails or calls. there is no way to schedule driving portion. horrible!

Negative experience: We have been extremely disappointed with MPI. They have taken months to schedule my son’s driving times. At this point, he’ll be 18 and away at college before he can get his license. Their communication is pathetic. I wish we’d gone with a different vendor.

Negative experience: While I wish I could rate 0 stars 1 will have to do. The only way I can feel good about 1 star is my son's driver was excellent and made his experience really fun. I went with a private driver for my daughter because they were ONLY working on early January birthdays when COVID-19 closed everything down in mid March. Everyone I have talked to said if you don't either connect directly with a driver or call and e mail Mountain Pro all of the time, your child will have to wait at least 2 months past their birthday to get a chance to drive. This is not acceptable - terrible service. Then I had to go pick up my daughter and 3 of her friends paperwork (we all went with a MUCH better private company) and, although we were VERY CLEAR that I would be there to pick it up, the woman put it in the mail that morning. When I asked her to please go to the post office to see if they would return it (we had the driver exam the next day) she was rude to me, got in her car, nearly hit mine and drove off. When she got back she threw them at me. Upon further inspection, she had messed up the paperwork and was so rude. HORRIBLE RUDE service.

Negative experience: Has not responded to emails or phone calls. No updates how they plan to schedule all the kids who are eligible for the driving portion. My child has been eligible to drive since January. Extremely unprofessional!!!

Fantastic experience: My son just finished taking the drivers ed course with Mountain Professionals. They came to his school in Fairview, NC. The instructor, Michelle Roberts, did an INCREDIBLE job teaching this course and helping my son ... who has trouble focusing. Michelle was VERY patient with him and assisted with making sure he took accurate notes to pass the final test. We are extremely pleased with the instruction and assistance our son received and will recommend this company to everyone!

Negative experience: I do not like that NC or the local school district has farmed out it truly public responsibility in making sure our kids receive there license through our tax paid schools

Negative experience: This is the most annoying thing ever!!! Every two weeks on a Tuesday at specifically 11:30 I'm trying to sign up for it, but every time I try it tells me that it's already full, and I have to wait another two weeks, and I've already waited two months!! I've emailed them, and got no responses, so I'm positive this is the worst driving school I've ever had to deal with.

Negative experience: Should be named "Mountain Unprofessionals" The staff will not respond if you contact them with a question or problem. My son had to wait almost 5 months to drive, due to this company's incompetence. I dread to see the drivers on the road that had this as their driver's education. Yancey County needs to put driver's ed back in the schools.

Negative experience: Horrible driving school. My daughter homeschools and has open availability to do the driving portion and took the class back in November and didn’t do the driving portion till the end of May. The instructor kept making excuses as to why she couldn’t drive her. Now she has finished the driving and we’re waiting on the certificate so she can go to the dmv to get her permit and guess what she still hasn’t mailed it to us. This is the worse experience I’ve ever had. My daughter has to wait a year to get her license after getting her permit and with how this has gone on so long, she will be 17 before she gets her license.

Negative experience: I wanted to share my experience. I am very leary of this place. I was worried I had been scammed right up until I got a refund. While my interactions with 2 individuals associated with here were pleasant, communication is lacking. The turn around time to set up driving lessons took me about a month just to talk to an instructor. I paid and set up an appointment. Unfortunately, the instructor keep cancelling the appointments and had to contact the school to assign me another instructor. I heard nothing from the school. Attempted a few phone calls and emails. I was told me information was passed on to an instructor and they'd be in touch. I attempted to follow up via email, but got no response.
