Fantastic experience: Passed my road test today! It's my 2nd test (my 1st test was with another driving school). Reasonable price, great quality instructions. Coach is very knowledgeable and patient. He gives a lot of driving tips, and he never yells at you or curses, which I found is very important, because it helps me to build up my confidence in driving. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this driving school. They are very nice and knowledgeable. I had told them that I wanted to get my license before summer vacation ended and they were very understanding and accommodating. We were able to schedule my classes for 2 weeks and had my road test right after my permit was delivered. Ms. Mai always made sure to let me know when my next class was scheduled either by texting me or calling me. She also responded to any questions I had when I texted her. She was fast to communicate and respond. Mr. Yao is a great instructor. I don’t speak very good Chinese but he knew the proper terms in English and was still able to teach me well. He went over every skill needed for driving and used our time well in order to help me improve where I needed the most help. In the end I was able to pass my road test on the first try. I am very thankful to Ms. Mai and Mr. Yao.

Fantastic experience: It's a very convenient and proper place to get your license! The boss lady is very nice and understanding, and the coaches 100% know their stuff! Aside from driving related stuff, it's probably one of the best business experience I've had. Fantastic experience: After a horrific experience with a terrible instructor (NOT from this school), which led me to fail my first road test because of my utter inability to parallel park, I knew I had to change instructors, and fast. My old instructor never let me drive without him grabbing the steering wheel 90% of the time, he'd always brake me suddenly whenever I did anything he deemed incorrect, he'd be on his phone while teaching me, and worst of all, he'd use up my precious learning time to have me stop for his lunch shopping, cigarette breaks, and potty breaks. As a result, even after 20 lessons with him, I felt like I didn't even know what I was doing, because he taught me nothing. I searched around online and found two schools that looked promising, and I eventually decided on Yu's Driving School, because the price was more agreeable to me and I liked what I saw in the reviews left by others. Ms. Mai was super nice and friendly over the phone. She was very sympathetic to my situation and completely understood why I wanted to changed instructors so abruptly, and told me that my instructor from her school, which she will assign to me, would definitely help with my parking woes. Something important to note is that this school doesn't do pick up and drop off, and you will have to meet your instructor at the school each lesson. There are three instructors at the time of this writing. The school looks closed most of the time, but its location serves as a fixed meet-up point for the students and instructors. You can usually drive yourself back to whatever location you need to go at the end of your lesson, though. Also, it helps if you can at least understand Chinese, because the instructors here don't speak much English. Of course, if you can speak Chinese too, that would work wonders for communication, obviously. If you can only understand English, you'd probably be better off with an English-speaking driving school, but the prices will most definitely be higher (I checked). And so, a week after my call with Ms. Mai, I met Master Guo. I want to sing praises about him, but I'll try to keep it short. He was a breath of fresh air compared to my old instructor, it was like night and day. He was so patient and professional, and he immediately spotted my mistakes within the first five minutes of my very first lesson. He told me I had picked up a lot of bad habits from my old instructor, and he had me relearn everything in my first lesson with him, like how to turn the steering wheel his way. It made my life so much easier! I used to panic whenever I had to turn the wheel, because my old instructor liked the hand-over-hand method, but Master Guo's method was more intuitive and I felt like I truly controlled the car, and not the other way around. Master Guo never touched my steering wheel, and he never braked me, and best of all, he stayed focused on me the entire time. I felt more and more of my confidence growing with each lesson, something I never had before when it comes to driving. And not only did Master Guo teach me things to pass the road test, he answered any questions I had about driving in general, and he'd let me do other things I wanted to try, like adding gas to a car, parking on the left side of a one-way road, parking in parking lots, etc. I learned so much from him, I'm really, really grateful. Unfortunately, I didn't pass my second road test after 10 lessons with Master Guo, because of downright rotten luck with a stop sign. However, today, on my third attempt, and 10 more lessons later (second attempt with this driving school), I passed! I'm ecstatic! Thank you Yu's Driving School! Thank you Ms. Mai! Thank you especially to Master Guo! I am going to recommend you to all my friends!

Fantastic experience: Everyone at the driving school is so nice and friendly. My instructor was very patient and encouraging and he thoroughly answered any questions I had. He also gave me many tips and taught me how to drive on roads similar to the ones on the test. I had initially started lessons over the summer but I couldn't register for a road test any time soon because I had to leave the city to return college and even then, Ms. Mai was able to accommodate my lessons and road tests to my schedule. I had a really good experience here and would highly recommend this driving school to friends and family!

They are very patient on answering your questions, responsible on your schedules, professional on driving skills and nice to communicate. The knowledge that I acquired from my instructors, Mr. Kang & Mr. Guo, are not only about how to pass about the road test, but also it is more about how to drive in a safe way in a daily driving. I tried 3 times on my road test, but eventually I passed it on my 4th attempt.

Fantastic experience: Mr. Guo was a patient and thorough instructor. At the time I bought lessons (Nov 2020) the rate was $320 for 10 lessons and $250 for 6 lessons which includes up to two tries for the road test and the mandatory pre-licensing course. There are other packages depending on your level. Lessons are 45 minutes each and each class is made up of 2 lessons so 1.5 hours per meetup. Extra classes are $40. Ms. Mai and Mr. Guo were also responsive via text. I would recommend calling to get more information!

He taught me all the details that I should pay attention to, the stuff that you will learn from him are not just for passing the exam, but also important for the future if you are planing to get a car. I couldn't believe I passed the road test. This is the first time Mr Yao took me to the road test, and I only took about 6 classes with him. (I failed more than 5 times about two years ago which made me didn't want to take the road test anymore...) In conclusion, 5 stars for this place and their friendly staff, and MANY THANKS to Mr Yao!

Fantastic experience: I was a little apprehensive coming here since the preferred language for the instructors is chinese (canto/mando) and my chinese is just so so. however, its actually not too bad so if you’re an ABC and have like elementary level chinese you will do just fine. the school secretary was super nice and very accomodating. she helped squeeze me into a 12 hour package in the weeks before my permit expired (LOL). The instructor was also very kind and gave great visual pointers for general driving as well as giving tips specifically helpful for passing the road test. The price is also amazing, very low price for the lessons, although slightly shorter than advertised. Only downside is they are cash only and it is best if you can speak/understand canto/mando.
