CDL Rapido - Truck Driving Schools El Paso, TX

Fantastic experience: Excellent course for CDL test purposes, I got the opportunity to experience both schools, the one located in El Paso: Mari, Coco and Irma are very helpful and professional; and at Odessa: Rocio, Denisse, both Pauls, Shawn Christina, Donnie, are the same. Highly recommended for Test purposes (theory and practice). Note: If you want to learn more details about trucks, go to a university or collage; this place helps a lot preparing students for passing the tests.

Fantastic experience: Got my commercial license with cdl rapido. Great instructors, Anna made sure I was ready for testing. Mari was very helpful, making sure I got the right appointments for the dmv as well as for everything else I needed along to way. The help didn’t end when I graduated. They also helped me find employment. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: Don’t go to this school. They tell you all the things you want to hear so you can sign up with them which is what happened with us. My husband was supposed to finish in 21 days according to their advertisement and it didn’t happen. We tried getting a refund, we paid 4k and they gave us back 500 dollars. We are livid. They don’t have enough staff to teach all the students so my husband was in the yard teaching himself and since he was there the longest the newest students would go to him and ask him questions. This is bad business.

Negative experience: DON'T BOTHER... Save yourself a headache, time and money! We've gone through 4 directors in 6 months. My poor drivers still haven't gotten the attention we agreed and paid on.

Fantastic experience: I got my CDL last week thank God, and I’m so thankful to the instructors at CDL Rapido for their knowledge and patience in teaching me all the skills required to get my CDL. Mendez, Marisol and Rosa excellent driving and maneuvers instructors. Also, the owner, director and all staff at CDL Rapido were always kind and ready to serve. According to my experience at this school, to be ready to get your CDL will depend on your effort, dedication and availability to attend school. Some students are ready to get their CDL faster than other students. This school worked very well for me because they open Saturdays and I was able to attend school almost always only Saturdays. In my opinion, the price to attend this school is not so expensive as other schools and also they gave me a very good discount for paying in full at the time of registration, but they offered me payment plans as well.

Negative experience: The school will tell you that you will get your CDL in a short time THEY WILL SAY ANYTHING FOR YOU TO ENROLL but they want you to pay the tuition as soon as possible but what they don’t tell you is the even if you are ready for next level you have to wait because they have a lot of students and we have to wait till the students get their CDL for us to go to the next level and the trucks are Always having mechanical Problems and the Teachers and Directors Don’t Last Long there only Mr.Rodrigo Amazing Teacher that Cares for Us and is the only one that hasn’t left the school yet when we are in maneuvers and driving the instructors except Mendez and Alex but Alex is not their no more they give their 100’/, to teach Us the other instructors are most of the time on their phones instead of focusing on Teaching Us and when We are Having a Hard Time Learning they get upset and at the end they say Our Hours are Finish and they want more $$$$$$ SO MAKE SURE YOU ASK ALL QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU SIGN WITH THEM AND PUT IT ON PAPER.

Negative experience: My Opinion Take it or leave it! Save your time and Money! Blame nobody but yourself you were warned! Stay away! For me , I was not able to attain my CDl with them , and I would never encourage anyone to get into same trap as myself. That school was nothing but: 1- waste of money: if you make little research you will understand 2- waste of time: From April to September I go to school in el paso burning summer sun with no shady area to cool of , from 8 am to 12 am 4 hours every single day except weekends just hanging around and I get 30 minutes training max if it was my lucky day! as long as you signed attend and signed whatever is handed to you thats all what is cared about and valued most by the school. (“Look! You are signed for me”) means you did received what you signed for (Training and time ) of course lol Then, I was asked to pay more money to complete my training “Much more money that I couldn’t afford again ” guess what ! because I ran out of training hours! What a joke! End of the story, unfortunately , I was not able to get my cdl , meanwhile , you can have it in just 3 to 5 weeks maximum by any other school. Do your research! I wish I could take my money back! Only in my dreams maybe! 3- I was not able to have 1️⃣Not enough driving and Training 2️⃣Not enough instructing 3️⃣ Not enough customer service to resolve issues as well If you have a problem or issues whatever big or small there are nobody to talk to to get it resolved 4- misleading information I live by Eastside thats why That school were chosen at the first place, close by my house and then after two weeks I was told that they are moved to Fabens where its like 30 mins driving back and forward everyday form my house. Once again you were warned! I wish no one else fall at same mistake I did. Do your research before you lose you Money and time Doesn’t deserve even one star

Negative experience: Creo que no es la mejor escuela, para obtener la CDL, yo fui estudiante de esta escuela a mi me cobraron $3500, Pero yo ya tenia mi permiso solo necesitaba aser mi pretrip y manejo, y si la escuela me prometió ayudarme en eso, y lamentable mente no me ayudaron, yo tuve que ir a otra escuela y pagar $3500 y Ayi fue donde si saque mi CDL en 1 semana, pero todo lo que disen los otros comentarios que las trocas no servían y que los instructores no asían caso es verdad. ! Si quieren ir a una buena escuela les recomiendo 99.9% esta escuela Mountain View vocational

Negative experience: Do not be mislead by the good reviews this company has by accounts that only have 1-2 reviews. This school took thousands of dollars from me and fellow students and offered nothing in exchange. The trucks are broken/missing key parts and do not meet DOT standards. The owner and recruiters will tell you a beautiful story that you will get your CDL promptly which is simply not true, they will take in as much students as possible just for the money thus an overflow of students and no quality training to actually pass your test. I paid a “promotional” rate which was THOUSANDS of dollars only to be told later that I need to pay more money to continue the course because I was “undercharged”. Total scam due not recommend at all and I am not one to talk bad about businesses (check my reviews) but this company will take your money for nothing in return so I must speak up. You are better off getting your CDL through a company sponsorship like SWIFT, Knight, Danny Herman etc.

Negative experience: Total scam of a “school”, the recruiters will lie to your face just to take your money. They say you can get your license within 5-6 weeks and that is not true. The trucks they have are garbage, broken equipment. They charged me 5,600 dollars for absolutely nothing! You barely have time to drive the trucks due to them being broken or no instructors to take you out and teach you. I do not recommend this school at all.

Fantastic experience: CDL Instructor Alex was thorough in his teachings. With his tips and insights, passed the written, pre-trip, maneuvers, and driving test without hesitation. There were no surprises at the state exam. Passed on first attempt. Thanks Alex, keep up the great work!

Negative experience: They paint this picture of getting your cdl in 6 weeks, the hours they operate is simply impossible to get it in 6 weeks when you do 3 hours a day to learn pre trip you get 1 hour of credit so total u have to go 20 days minimum when you finally think youre gonna get to learn the driving and maneuvers portion they have a line of people waiting to get called to drive its not the students fault for the school only having a small fleet of trucks to teach. its not the students fault the school decides to not operate from the morning until night. Its not a cheap school ,so they should be more organized and efficient and actually get students in n out in 6 weeks like the picture they paint when you first sign up , simple. Hats off to the front desk and the instructors for doing the best they can with so little but dont paint a picture or promise you simply cant keep.

Negative experience: I went just to get information on the course and was treated very rudely. I was turned away just because my driver's license was from out of state. I told them I just wanted info on the course and that I would have a TX driver's license by the time the course began. I was practically accused of lying and turned away. With so many other trucking schools in the area, why bother with unprofessionalism? This attitude might even transfer to their courses.

Negative experience: Highly don’t recommend! Waste your time going back and forth from edgemere to fabins and always rescheduling class. They paint you this pretty picture that they are flexible with your schedule but then when you go to class in the afternoon they say there done for the day. Save your money and your time go somewhere else!

Fantastic experience: Every cent paid fpr this school was worth it. Mr. Rodrigo is the perfect teacher. All the lessons taught were perfect to pass the test. Mario on his pret-trip, got every part correct in order for me to pass test as well. In manuevers Mike and Filemon taught me how to parallel, and taught me exactly how to get my truck perfectly aligned. Melissa on the other hand, taught me exactly how to up and down shift, and how to control my truck and every driving skill she taught me was used ont the test.
