Fantastic experience: I just passed my driving test, and I can't express how happy I am! This test has been one of my best experiences, and I learned a lot. Initially, I was pretty nervous at the start, but he made me feel less anxious by talking to me (he's pretty funny). At the end of the test, he gave me plenty of tips on how to be a safer driver. Even though I made a few mistakes, he remained calm and explained why those mistakes could put myself or others at risk. Overall, I highly recommend taking a test at Alert Driving School!

Negative experience: I did not like this person at all. I would not recommend using his services. This guy charges more than anyone else in the area. In addition, he will hustle an additional $40 from you if there is anything wrong with your car. Unless you go somewhere else you will end up paying $120 total to this guy. He was late to the test, talked down to me and my daughter, and was an overall unpleasant person who hides behind his status at the church he hustles out of. No one else does this. Save yourself some time and money, and explore other options in the area.

Fantastic experience: I took my Road Test with Andy at Alert Driving School, and I highly recommend it! Andy was fantastic: he took the time to explain every step with patience and clarity, which was incredibly helpful for me as a French person. Thanks to him, everything went really well. Fantastic experience: If anyone’s wanting to get their driving test done with care and patience, this place is it! My daughter went for her 2nd test actually, first was at another location. She was so nervous, she failed. So, we decided to switch to another place to see if 2nd time around she would do better. SHE PASSED! The entire time, Keith was very gentle, and very detailed in all his instructions that helped calm her down quite a lot. He made small talk with her to get her familiar with him and not think about the “test”. He was very patient and clear with her while asking her the questions for the tests. He gave instructions ahead of time before she has to do them during the test so that she was not nervous to not knowing what she should do next. I even learned quite a lot from Keith! At the end, he had her sit and listen to a few last words that brightened my day as he pointed out the importance of being safe on the road, more importantly “why”. All in all, he was a great tester and I’m very glad I had chosen this location this time around. My daughter passed and reason is she was able to feel comfortable and actually bring out what she can do instead of not remembering anything because she is too tense. Thank you Keith for your help!

Fantastic experience: Excellent place to have your teen tested. My daughter was originally to be tested on a Sunday, but Keith called and asked if we could come in Saturday due to a pending storm. That was much appreciated. My daughter ended up testing with Andy - who was beyond accommodating and kind. He did a great job of explaining everything and gave my teen a lot of useful feedback. I was recommended Alert by a friend and will recommended them to all of my friends. Overall a great experience.

Fantastic experience: All the praise for the instructors is well, well deserved. Even when I butchered my first test, I still felt that Keith was incredibly kind and understanding. I just took my second test with Andy and passed, and he was just as personable and reassuring. They aren't kidding when they say these guys are the best! Take your test with them!

Fantastic experience: Took my road test this morning with Keith! Passed my road test at a ripe 31 year of age! I was a nervous wreck a day before my road test that I could barely eat or sleep. Keith calmed me down as soon as he got in my car. He was funny, extremely patient and very clear with his instructions. I never write reviews and I am a firm believer that people only write reviews when they are not happy with the service/business. Not in this case! I truly believe this place and Keith deserve all the hype and 5 stars reviews! I’m from Shelby township area and I came all the way to Beverly Hills to take the test with Keith from reading the reviews and I do not regret one bit! Highly recommend Keith and taking road test with alert driving school! I also happened to saw Andy while waiting for my test to begin. He seemed awesome too! FYI- schedule the hour (eg: 9:00am, 10:00am, etc.) if you want Keith and schedule half hour (eg: 9:30am, 10:30am, etc.) if you want Andy!

Fantastic experience: This was my second driving test. I was nervous but Mr. Lee is amazing. He made sure that I am comfortable and present to answer his questions properly. He was great at giving instructions. He made sure I understand and do it properly. He also gave good tips at the end of the test. The test is designed to see road rules are known, signs are understood, lane changes and head and shoulder checks are done at the right time and if I was focused on the road. I was confident and did all the checks fine.

Fantastic experience: I had a very pleasant experience on my road test which was with Andy. He was very calm and knowledgeable and provided me pointers that helps with driving post my driver’s completion test. I was given clear instructions prior to the test on every section of the road test. I was able to find an appointment for the very next day which is not is case with other driving test centers. Negative experience: Shady. They make you pay cash, and our instructor turned us away for document problems within five minutes even though someone was running the extra docs out right away, fine, but then the instructor helped himself to $40 of my cash even though the published terms say document fee is $30. Never heard of any legit company charging cash for driver’s Ed, sound like tax fraud. This place charges $80 too, even though the more reputable places are $60. Go to Courtesy Driving instead.

Fantastic experience: It was a very great experience. I went there after reading some 5-stars reviews, and the exam was well-performed and I am totally agree with the reviews of the other Local Guides. He had to cancel the first appointment due to a winter storm and instead of not doing anything, he define some new spots the next day in order to be able to make the exam ASAP. Also the during the exam he makes me feel comfortable and not nervous at any time. Finally when we finished the exam he gave me some tips in order to drive better in Michigan. I recommend this driving school 100%.
