Fantastic experience: I couldn’t have passed my driving test without these guys! When I just started taking driving lessons, I had terrible anxiety but with my instructor, Jill’s help, I got over it in no time. She always made sure I was comfortable. She was extremely patient and understanding. Jill taught me everything I needed to know. She made sure I was 100% prepared to take the test. She provided me with tips to help me improve my driving skills. I had a wonderful experience working with Guthrie Driving School. The communication was great and scheduling classes was always easy. Fantastic experience: We used Guthrie Driving School for our daughter because lets face it.... sometimes as parents we get a little spastic trying to teach our kids to drive!! We had Jill and she was fantastic! My daughter is a confident driver and moms mind is set at ease when she leaves the house. Jill was patient, and privided practical outside of the box tips to help my child. She was able and willing to work around our busy schedules. Fantastic experience: Guthrie Driving school was a great experience and worth every single penny. JILL was ours son's instructor and she made him feel relaxed and comfortable. Something parents sometimes can't do with new drivers. He had the 12 hour course and passed his first time. The test administrator said all of Guthrie's students are well trained and ready for their test. 5 out of 5 stars for sure. No regrets here. Sign up asap. YOU WONT REGRET IT.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Guthrie Driving School. Both of my children took driving lessons through Guthrie with Jill and are confident and safe drivers as a result. Jill was patient, knowledgeable, offered practical tips, and explained things clearly with context and in a way my children could grasp. My daughter most recently passed her driver’s test on the first try. She felt very at ease driving with Jill, and never felt like she was being talked down to or made to feel like she should know more than she did. If there was a skill my daughter felt she needed extra practice with, Jill accommodated her. Jill was also happy to work with us on schedules for lessons if issues arose and for the test. Also, my husband was out of town during my classes. Even without the extra practice between sessions, Dwight made it super comfortable and easy to learn!! I was super nervous and I have really big anxiety when I drive. Dwight helped me to suppress my anxiety and channel it into concentration!!! He was very knowledgeable and easy to learn from. He made my son feel so comfortable on the road and taught him things in a way that I would have never thought of. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Guthrie Driving School! My daughter is my little best friend, but not so much when I was teaching her to drive. Dwight and his employees were extremely knowledgeable and patient, while making my daughter comfortable through the whole experience. They addressed the concerns I had with her driving and explained and corrected these habits. We passed our test today with flying colors! We both couldn't be happier. Fantastic experience: For someone who has never driven before I was scared but I was lucky to find this school. My Instructor Jill helped me gain that confidence to be a safe driver. She was so calm and patient while teaching me and she made sure to answer all my questions too. She was always on time and their pick and drop service is incredible. Fantastic experience: Guthrie Driving School is the best. My wife went to another driving school and learned nothing. I didn’t have much time to help her get into the road by herself. Fantastic experience: My son was so hesitant to learn. I know not the typical. He has Asperger’s and often gets to the typical milestones a bit later than his peers. He did great & he passed on his first try! It warmed my heart to see him smile with that accomplishment! I would totally 100% recommend them!!!

Fantastic experience: I thought my daughter was a lost cause when it came to driving until she met with Jill for the first time! My daughter’s skills and comfort behind the wheel blossomed quickly with these lessons. Jill was very knowledgeable and was able to teach skills in a way my daughter could easily understand and implement. Fantastic experience: Tim and Dwight were great with my 16 year old son. We decided to invest in driving lessons once we realized finding the time to teach our son to drive ourselves, was few and far between. They made the lessons easy by picking him up, and dropping him off, and our son passed his test on his first try!

Fantastic experience: We were looking for a driving teacher to save the parent child relationship! Ms. Jill was the superstar!!! She was so relaxed and calm with my daughter! I no longer had to argue with my teen about how to drive, I just would use the phrase, Ms. Jill said this… My daughter passed the test on her first try. About nine months later, we came back to Miss JILL to teach my son how to drive. Again, he passed his test on the first try. Miss JILL is a superstar!!

Fantastic experience: Tim was an excellent instructor. He was very thorough in teaching my daughter. They drove the DMV course and many other traffic situations. Picking up and dropping off at home/school is an added bonus to Guthrie Driving School. I will use them again for my other kids.

Fantastic experience: I had my permit when I was 17 like "normal" but I felt too overwhelmed and under-supported to actually go through with learning to drive. For one reason or another, I waited 11 years to try again. I knew I had to go the route of driving school for my best chance at succeeding. I live in Armstrong County and we don't have a driving school nor accessible resources to help people learn to drive here, so I knew I had to look a bit further. Although not without frustration, I was able to pass my driving test on the first try because of Dwight. Even though learning to drive really was a challenge, working with him was the best part of the experience. He communicated with me on a level that made me feel challenged but also remained understanding of where I was at in my journey. I'm very proud to say I finally have my driver's license and I owe so much of this to Dwight for his patience and skill. I would recommend going this route to anyone who needs to be challenged, yet supported. Even the most impossible cases can be helped with the right kind of teacher, and I can attest to that.

Fantastic experience: Both of my children have gone through the 6 hour training course at Guthrie Driving School. I would highly recommend them. The course instructors we had were both kind and helped my children feel comfortable and at ease. As a parent, I saw a very big improvement in their driving and knowledge once the 6 hours were over. That is PRICELESS as a parent sending your young adults out onto the road!

Fantastic experience: Very accommodating and easy to work with! Every other driving school I reached out to was either fully booked or out of my area. And although Guthrie was also out of my area they still took me on as a student! My instructor was Tim Keegan, who would meet me at the Penn Hills DMV for my lessons. Even when I couldn’t make it during their business hours because of my work schedule, Tim would meet me for my lessons at 8am. I really appreciated that! My first lesson was on June 13, and today July 29th I passed my test on the first try! Couldn’t recommend them enough! Thank you so much!!

Fantastic experience: So glad we went with Guthrie Driving School! We decided to go with lessons towards the end of the permit period for my son. I wanted to make sure all of the rules and techniques he needed to know were being addressed. Dwight was so accommodating in scheduling. He bent over backwards to meet our schedule and travel to our location. Both he and Tim were excellent instructors and very professional and relatable. This put my son at ease. Fantastic experience: Jill is an AMAZING instructor with Incredible patience and understanding, that would put any student at immediate ease. She is kind and flexible. Although I am an experienced driver, I was nervous of my road test. Jill walked me through the steps and patiently let me do the same routine multiple times till I was absolutely comfortable. She didn’t rush me or work just based on the clock. She even had lavender oil to soothe my nerves before the test :) She is PHENOMENAL and I would highly highly recommend her.

Fantastic experience: First of all I was glad that my daughter was partnered with a female driving instructor. Jill was fantastic and patient with her. I like that she emphasized following the speed limits and I also liked that she took my daughter downtown Pittsburgh to practice driving in that traffic and the road configuration and merging. We are glad that we chose Guthrie Driving school and am 100% recommend them, specially Jill!

Fantastic experience: Dwight is a great teacher! We have been driving so long that some of it is just instinct and we don't remember some of it needs to be taught. Having a driving instructor helps tremendously with those things. Dwight was great with my daughter and taught her everything she needed to know to pass her driver's test on the first try. Fantastic experience: Guthrie driving school was very thorough. I'm grateful for the foundational training they provided my son as a novice driver. Dwight was extremely patient with my son and taught him some tricks to pass the parallel parking test. I highly recommend to first time drivers.

Fantastic experience: My daughter was so anxious about driving and refused to get her license. After a few recommendations from people, I decided to sign her up for lessons with Guthrie Driving School, which made her even more anxious. Dwight was calm and fun and immediately alleviated her fears. She was so much more relaxed and confident after one lesson. We did the 12 hour package and they drove down town, on the highway and completely prepared for the test. Passed the test on her first try. Would highly recommend this school to anyone, but especially to those who are not so excited about getting their license and fearful of driving.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing! I am 22 and had much anxiety over driving. I started lessons about a month ago and just got my license this week on the first try. I recommend this place to everyone now.

Fantastic experience: Dwight was an amazing instructor. Both new drivers and individuals with some experience will be to learn from him. He made the whole process easier for me. From knowing what I need help with just from driving with me to helping me schedule my appointment for the test. I can recommend him for anxious individuals as well. Dwight was easy to talk to and work with and was very patient. I will be directing friends and family to Guthrie Driving School in the future.
