Negative experience: Don’t come here! I can’t fess this enough, it’s a complete scam!!

Fantastic experience: Super professional and kind. Before we started the test, Victor took the time to review each of the videos that explained precisely what they would be testing, and, as we watched the video, he pointed out the little things that they'd be looking for (signal here, look over shoulder there, etc). They're really working hard to make sure the student is successful! It's awesome

Negative experience: The classtime itself is nice and no pressure. But the drives weren't my favorite. The instructors were patient and nice for the most part. But on my first drive I was asked some more personal questions about my life than I think we're needed. And third drive one of the instructors had me drive them to their apartment complex without my knowledge then left me alone in the car at night for about 10-15 minutes. I did not feel comfortable and was slightly panicked for the rest of the drive. It may not be a huge thing you may people but especially when you have younger people in those cars it should be a bigger safety concern for the person and the instructor.

Negative experience: Mala experiencia. No te preparan bien para el test con la intención de volverte a cobrar. No los recomiendo. Perdí un trabajo por no poseer la licencia

Fantastic experience: Excelente, hace un par de semanas aprobé mi examén teórico y hoy 12/27/2024 acabo de aprobar mi examén práctico de manejo, evaluado por Driving test Center West Valley City-Utah. Quiero agradecer a la Escuela de manejo Alta Driving School, por su valiosa enseñanza para obtener mi Licencia de Conducir.

Negative experience: Esta escuelita esta estafando a la gente, tengo 10 años de tener licencia en mi pais, en mi examen me dijeron que conduje 20 MPh arriba del limite y que no me detuve 5 segundos en los altos, el instructor Hugo es un tipo pedante e engreido, Es como que te estuviese haciendo un favor y de mala gana... evitense la molestia, lo hice por segunda vez y ... Hugo salio al rescate y lo hizo otra vez y esta vez con peor actitud.. ESTAFADORES!!!

Negative experience: Avoid This Driving School! I had a very disappointing experience with this driving school. The instructors were unprofessional and seemed uninterested in actually teaching. I paid for a package that promised a certain number of lessons, but they kept rushing through them, and I felt like I wasn’t getting proper instruction. The cars were old and uncomfortable, which made the whole experience worse. I tried to address my concerns with management, but they were dismissive and didn’t seem to care. Save your time and money – look for a more reliable and professional driving school.

Fantastic experience: I had the absolute pleasure of having Felipe be my driving instructor on my visit here. He did an incredible job teaching me how to better my driving skills. You can tell he's very passionate about what he does. I was nervous on my road test but his friendly and upbeat attitude was really helpful. Everyone that works here has a joyful and positive demeanor that makes you feel welcomed the minute you step in. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone! Thank you Felipe for all your help, if I could give this place ten stars I would!

Fantastic experience: My daughter took her driving test here! The staff went above and beyond sending her driving videos and clear instructions to help her prepare for her test. When we arrived the instructor went over what she would be tested on, showed her videos that demonstrated what was expected for each maneuver. He was very kind to my daughter and asked if she had any questions. I recommend Alta to anyone in need of driving instruction or a road test!

Fantastic experience: I just got my license passing with 100% and I owe it all to Alta. The driving instructors here are amazing. I drove with both Hector and Hugo who both are very calm, funny, and collected. They teach very well and are relaxed and informative when you make mistakes. Ethan who teaches the classroom helped so much as well, he makes the class very open and exciting environment. The classes flew by and I learned so much! Thank you Alta for helping me get my license. Agarras una cita, te dan unos vídeos para que practiques y llegues preparad@ y el día de la cita te dan una charla respecto al examen de manejo y si tienes preguntas te las aclaran antes de salir a conducir. En mi caso la realicé con el señor Victor persona muy servicial. Cuando requiera otra vez de sus servicios iría sin pensarlo nuevamente. Los recomiendo.

Negative experience: I think it is better other's school's.

Fantastic experience: I signed up for three 2-hour driving lessons and was able to pass my road test with a 98/100 all because of the things I learned from Victor and Hugo. As long as you are willing to learn and accept feedback about your driving, the lessons are 100% worth it. I would definitely recommend Alta to any adult learner that has driving anxiety. Victor and Hugo always made me feel at ease on the road even–especially–when I made beginner mistakes. I wish I could've taken the road test with them, but the third-party tester they recommended to me was equally as amazing. I can't say enough wonderful things about Alta. Thank you thank you thank you!

Negative experience: Hice mi examen practico en Alta porque hablan español, tengo 30 años de experiencia conduciendo, licencia válida en mi pais, nunca he provocado un accidente y solo 1 multa en todos esttos años, sin embargo no aprobé el examen porque el instructor me dijo que conduje muy rápido(24 m/H) que lo puse nervioso, otras cosas similares y a dos personas que lo hicieron antes les dijo lo mismo. Entiendo que es negocio pero yo no lo haré otra vez con ellos. Eso si, son muy amables.

Fantastic experience: I was able to ace the road test after taking a lesson with Nadine at Alta. She gave me clear instructions on what I was doing wrong and how I could improve my driving skills. She was also especially friendly and made me feel at ease.

Fantastic experience: OMG. Victor is an amazing guy I ever seen in my life since I moved to Utah. I'm from another country and it was really nervous to take a road test in US and Victor really made me to pass the road test kindely and safely. Please come Alta to take a road test and trust me, you will super love it here and Victor.

Negative experience: Do not and I repeat do not waste your money here. Instructor were bad especially one of the ladies. The only good one was Victor. Other than that the lady was straight up just trained and was not whatsoever ready to instruct others. She yelled and was rushed the whole time. Super unsafe to jerk the wheel especially if there is no danger. I don't write reviews but this place was just terrible.

Fantastic experience: My son did his driving test here and they did a great job. They took time at the beginning to go through the whole thing--each maneuver they would be doing and how it would be graded. The test is on Orem back roads. It didn't take long.

Negative experience: I signed my daughter up for the program but because of where we live she is unable to attend. After just one day I ask for a refund, because of the situation. I called and text but couldn’t get anyone to answer after days of trying, I finally got someone. They said the wouldn’t do a refund. 350.00 for what?!? Horrible customer service would not recommend!!

Negative experience: Horrible experience, save your money and time and don't go here!!! The chubby guy was super rude to my bf cause he didn't bring a car, he was never even told he had to bring his own. Contradicted himself many times in the exam. I understand letting the person know what they did wrong in the exam, but was talking to him like a child in trouble. He was I'm general just rude, arrogant person. Never coming here again Super unprofessional. They're are money hungry here. Update: My boyfriend went to another place and passed the exam at his first try, was told everything was perfect.

Fantastic experience: Had a pleasant experience doing my road test with a Chilean instructor( I forgot his name). But it was very quick took about 15 minutes of driving and doing the maneuvers and he helped me along the way giving me tips to make sure I made no mistakes I passed my first try and it was nice to know they actually care about getting your license. And plus they already have student cars so you don’t have to use your own vehicle if you don’t have one.

Negative experience: This driving school is a joke. I Paid for a 1 hour personalized private drive but received a solid 30 minutes of rushed, generic training. On the website is says "One-on-one experience with a certified instructor only. Specifically tailored to each student based on their skill level and goals." but this wasn't the case at all. I was scheduled for a drive at 6:00pm but he teacher showed up 12 minutes late, at about 6:50 he had us head back because he didn't want to be late for his next class. The entire time I felt very disregarded and didn't receive the "specifically tailored" help that I had paid for. He said since he was pressed for time he was only gonna go over the 6 basic maneuvers which was not the help that I explained and asked for. So after paying for an hour of specific behind the wheel instruction, I'm upset because they showed up late, cut the drive short, and didn't help me with what I needed. The extra frustration comes with the customer service call afterwards. After calling to share my frustration with my negative experience the agent had nothing to say other than "on the website it says no refunds". The agent wasn't empathetic at all and seemed annoyed that I was calling to complain. After saying that there was nothing she could do about it, and that only the owner is in charge of that. The agent was very resistant to me contacting the owner about my experience and dismissive of my experience in general.

Negative experience: I called 1 month ago for my practices.. they "scheduled" the time, day and instructor but in the end they didn't registered my name.. 1 week ago i went to verify the appointment and the teacher told me that they have some space available for practices, he didn't understand why they gave me weeks later and still my name doesn't appear for the practice. Very disappointing with the receptionist in that place, disorganized and poorly estructured the school (if x instructor has any emergency, they should have someone to cover him or send the student to another school just for the practices..instead of say: well you have to wait or pay AGAIN the practices in another school)

Fantastic experience: Victor Beltran is such a professional and friendly driving skills road tester. I needed to undergo a road test because my current driver's license is from the Philippines (and not from another US State). Although I have several years of driving experience, I told Victor that because it is called a "test", it still makes me nervous (hahaha) and so please make me feel comfortable. True enough! Victor made me feel so comfortable. In the end, I passed the road test without being nervous. He did provide me with added knowledge / info about driving in Utah too. Btw, before the road test, Victor provided a clear orientation on what to expect during the test and entertained questions just to ensure everything is clear to the customer. He told me I'm the first Filipino road testee he had. Well, I guess he will soon have more now that I'm particularly giving him and/or Alta Driving School a 5-star rating. For your driving skills road test needs (i.e., for those who don't have a car upon arrival in Utah as immigrant), you can avail of the paid services of what is known as third party road tester.

Fantastic experience: My daughter needed classes and road practice with someone who knew what she could expect at the DLD drivers test. Tanner did a great job teaching both parts. She was very timid but he walked her through the process and she passed all the parts with flying colors! Very patient, very kind and very professional.

My driving instructors were fabulous, Karlee and Trisha were very professional, and helped me improve my driving skills. They are very nice, and have conversations with you while you drive. Negative experience: I was taking the road test and the hand book states that when parallel parking you should back up tell you cannot anymore when I did so she said that a back up too far and to use my imagination that there is a car behind me.

Fantastic experience: Awesome experience. I took the driving skills test here. My nerves almost got the best of me, but Victor was understanding and set me up to succeed. He definitely was rooting for me to pass the test and he did what he could to make the process as simple as possible! Would absolutely recommend this place over the DMV. It's worth the 45 bucks.

Negative experience: I've registered my daughter on Alta Driving School's website about a week and a half ago with no directions on what to do next. I've called couple of times and one was able to leave a voicemail once. I choose this school based on the ratings. I would still love to use this school based on reviews but if I get no response I'll have to go somewhere else. I'm not sure if they take people who pay online quicker than those that want to pay at the school. I would've paid online but their website isn't secure so there's no way I'm going pay online which is why I opted to pay on-site (picture showing their website is not secure). With covid-19 going on it could be that they're just real busy are have limited time and staff (I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt) . I'll try again and if I can get through and have my daughter go through there schooling I'll certainly update my review.

Fantastic experience: Like most people, I’m very satisfied with their service. I took the driving test last week, and Victor was very kind and helped me feel less nervoud. I had been very nervous (since this was my first time taking the driving test), but Victor helped me with all I needed. He was patient and explained very well what the test was about, so I’m very satisfied! I would definitely recommend taking your test here.

Fantastic experience: I was so over the moon when I passed my test I cried my driving instructor was karlee(sorry if I'm spelling that wrong) I was so nervous my Whole body was sweating lol but when I got there she helped me and answered all my questions and she made me feel so at ease. she kept reminding me it's was okay to ask questions even if I asked them multiple times and. she was never bothered when I did she explain the test to me and what she would be scoring me on and made sure I understood everything before we started the test she was so nice and professional she was honestly amazing and I can't say enough good things about her and the way she made me feel so at ease with my nerves thank you so much alta driving school I will always be recommending you guys to everyone I know.

Negative experience: This school is a scam, please do not go here. My son completed his driving instruction at a different driving school and received high marks from his instructor. He went to AAA for the roading test and did not pass. The instructor asked him to make a U turn on a street that did not have enough room to make a U-turn (I tried it myself). It was physically impossible. The school took my $40 and then made it impossible to pass the test.
