B&B Driving School

Negative experience: DO NOT take your skills test here. I got the same instructor both times and was failed both times. The first fail made sense because my front wheel had went up the curb. As for the second? The same instructor, an old man who never introduced himself to me, made offhanded and rude comments about my driving the entire time. At one point I was waiting at a stop sign for traffic to be clear before I turned, looking both ways multiple times. Not even 15 seconds of waiting before he says "We can wait here all day if you want." I respond with "Excuse me?" as he says "You're waiting too long. If someone was behind you they would've been honking by now." I pause, then respond "I'm just waiting for traffic to be safe. I don't want to cut anyone off." He sighs, rolls his eyes and proceeds to mark me down. Other instances include unsafe actions. He tried having me back around the curb—a curb that lead right into a busy street. I was lucky that no passing traffic hit my car on that maneuver. As for parallel parking, he tried having me do that in a one lane street—which was right up by a stoplight. The entire thing felt off to me and I felt unsafe, especially since a truck was coming up behind me. I had used my right turn signal as I lined up with the parked car next to me. I tried waiting for the truck behind me to drive around me (what you're supposed to do), and that's when the instructor chimed in yet again with "what are you *doing?*" I explain to him why I'm waiting, and he says "No. No, don't worry about him. You have the right to park." The truck had to have thought that I was simply turning right at the light, thanks to the way I was set up for this maneuver. As I began to back up, the truck driver gives me an angry look and starts backing up to properly give me room. By then I was breaking down from that moment as well as the instructor's previous comments. I knew I was in no condition to drive like that. I'm crying right in front of the instructor and stop the maneuver to instead drive back to the school to end the test. He seems flabbergasted over the fact, and once again, exclaims "what are you doing?" So I respond, "I'm in no condition to drive while I'm breaking down like this, I'm sorry. I'm just going to drive back to the school." He gets snippy yet again and clearly doesn't care about my wellbeing at that time. The 2nd time, I got a 79, which was the nail in the coffin for me. I instead tested somewhere else in the valley today and had a much better experience. Finally passed with an 86, and the instructor only ever talked to give me directions and to review my results once the test was over. I felt respected and felt that I was tested fairly, let alone this instructor didn't put me in dangerous situations like the one at B&B did. TLDR; please do NOT test at B&B on Sullivan... Unless you want a rude instructor who makes comments and doesn't care about basic traffic safety.

Negative experience: Would Not Recomend B&B driving school to anyone wanting to pass there driver test. The driving instructor I had who was an older gentleman (I forget his name), seemed to be going out of his way to fail me and mark off points, he gave me no leeway whatsoever, and failed me twice, it's clear to me that what they really care about is the money rather than seeing people pass there test, as I had to pay 55$ twice for a driving test being failed both times for the dumbest reasons, I know I'm a good driver which is why I scheduled a driving test with interface driving school and passed on the first time easily there with another driving instructor, which just proves to me that it's not my driving skills that are at fault in this case but the fault of this overly strict driving instructor at B&B 1/5 stars

Negative experience: Hopefully they don’t leave slanderous reviews on my business :). As defamation is a civil court thing. B&b if you leave a review on my page I’ll use a p.I. Link the review and sue you. Anyways My gf used b&b & past her written, paid for the driven. When she went they said because she had a leg brace, very minor brace for an old surgery on her leg which was years ago. She walks fine does everything fine, never has had any issues interns of mobility and safety. they saw her brace and refused to test her. They then called the dmv and said she’s an unsafe driver, so she just got her permit and now if she doesn’t pass her driving test in 1 month her license gets suspended. Lol good way to discriminate against the handicap specially some one who isn’t really even handicapped that bad lol. Also thanks for booting her from all the driving school. Not sure how you would know she was an unsafe driver when she never even took a driving test with you. We’ll be calling managers at B&B & talking to the dmv about who filed the complaint so we have PROOF, discrimination and defamation are heavy things especially when a license is some one’s livelihood

Negative experience: The teacher is purposely failing me. I have studied so much and all my answers would be correct but he marks them as wrong. He says he has DOL books with him but he sends me out to go to the DOL of Spokane to get it. I am giving the legally right answers but he says they are wrong and I am done with b and b either they get their stuff together and replace him or actually help us see what we are doing wrong

Negative experience: The amount of kids they pile into the online class multiplied by the crazy high tuition, you would think they could spend some money on their internet connection so they can share screen correctly. The lady running the class says she isn’t wearing glasses so she can’t read some material. There’s been a student with his hand raised for 20 min and she can’t see it. This is such an overpriced scam of a business.

Negative experience: I am disheartened how abrupt and rude the tester was. 11/11 Sullivan Location. I took my son in to get his drivers exam. We scheduled both written and Practical, however when we showed it to the tester he refused the practical after my son passed the written. The tester stated "You can take another test, but not with me". I really wish that B&B would stress professionalism with their staff.

Fantastic experience: I came here to take a second swing at my driver's skill test , had a far better experience, and passed! Art is a great guy and was very chill and made you feel at ease.

Fantastic experience: Tip from me just practice a lot like more then 100 times I would say I have fun and a good time. But you should take your test serious. Both of them. Happy driving and stay safe

Negative experience: B & B Driving School is anything but effective. They don't teach their clients what's needed to pass the drive tests. Part of this is due to different teachers grading vs teaching! Total DISCONNECT! My First Son went through All Seasons without a hitch and my second son has the exact same driving skills and ability. Sometimes instructors need to retire because they are beyond the age that is required for Effective teaching. FACIAL PARALYSIS should be considered a problem for ANY driving instructor! or "grader" My son was negatively graded due to not putting the vehicle in PARK in a "pretend" parking situation. If he was actually "parking", putting the vehicle in "PARK" is a given! To pretend otherwise is simply disingenuous! Only DRUNKs try to get out of a vehicle that is still in drive! Or how about being negatively graded when reversing to and around a curb; Driving a 4x4 requires one to look at their mirrors to guide them. This is AFTER doing "head checks" and the like! The dingbat instructors simply don't understand the correlation between mirror use and reality! If you don't quadruple "head check" you'll get dinged! Or how about a "head check" when pulling over to a curb on a street where you are 3 feet from the curb? Again, total lack of understanding in regard to mirror use-age. I am disgusted by this school and I will tell everyone I know about the horrendous experience and comical ineptitude of this business. Don't BELIEVE IT? LOOK AT THEIR 1 STAR REVIEWS!

Negative experience: I took the written 6 times and I missed 9 on all of them and they do not tell you what ones u got wrong would not recommend come here

Negative experience: Didnt know this was a charity, Went to take the test, had one of my useless brakelights (the one in the window) out apparently (was working the night before). Fine my bad, but they took the 55$, whyd I even show up? Just donated to them. On top of having weeks upon weeks of waiting just to schedule these. Scam city

Negative experience: The school is great but Mr. Marward I'm pretty sure was very rude, if your son or daughter gets him for a drive be ready for him to be nice at first but if they make a mistake while driving he will most likely be very rude about it. But the other instructors were really nice and I wish I got more drives with them.

Negative experience: The one off Sullivan is very un-welcoming. They make you wait while they take their drive test out in the cold

Negative experience: I got treated extremely rude when I asked to speak with the manager and they told me that I was my son that he was able to if he felt his first test that he had an unlimited time after we paid the $20 to be able to retake his test because he has a learning disability they never offered us no testing for to accommodate his learning disability as far as giving it to him orally and calling three different times and got three different answers three different stories each time extremely poor communication extremely the gentleman one of the gentleman that takes and gives the written test is extremely rude and made fun of my son with his autism and I will never come to this place again awful awful place I hope there's other places in the valley that I can go to

Fantastic experience: Took my driving test yesterday and the instructor was very nice and encouraging!

Negative experience: I enrolled here at B&B driving school and completed drivers Ed and passed my drive test. I went in to the DOL to go get my license and was told because I have a prosthetic leg on my right side I have to retake the driving test with the DOL to make sure I can properly drive with my left foot, even though it’s legal in Washington to do so. I was not informed by B&B that I would have to take the test with the DOL. The instructor that was in the car with me during my drive test was aware of my prosthetic leg and did not say anything. I want to spread awareness to anyone else with a physical disability that B&B does not properly inform you of the protocol you will have to follow to get your license. The DOL handled it best they could but B&B needs to better communicate with them.

Fantastic experience: B&B Driving School prepares the students to be safe drivers. My daughter learned valuable driving skills that she can utilize in the future. While I do believe all of the instructors are wonderful, Mr. Mauel excels at helping the student gain confidence. Mr. Mauel's teaching approach is effective because he sets clear expectations while maintaining a fun environment. My only recommendation to B&B Driving School would be to have the same instructor consistently. Overall, my daughter was very happy with her learning experience and I as a parent, feel more comfortable letting her go out into the world as a new driver. Thank you Mr. Mauel for preparing my daughter to be a safe, attentive driver!!

Positive experience: Participating in the driving experience here at b&b is most heavily reliant on your chances of driving with Mr. Mual. He helped exponentially in just the hour I had him even after driving with other instructors prior. His mantra of treating the driver as an adult and continual repetition of key driving characteristics is what makes him an affective unit of drivers education. Good luck.
