Fantastic experience: I found out about this driving school through Google Maps and I went for it because of the great reviews. I took the the 10-package class, then took a few additional lessons as I fumbled my first road test due to test anxiety. I passed the test second time around a month later! The lessons took place in a quiet part of Washington Heights. Unlike some other driving schools, here you will have the same instructor who will remember your driving skills and provide continuity than if you were to go with a larger school. I also appreciated that on the day of the test, Ruben will be lined up at the test site bright and early so that you can take the test and get on with your day. Highly recommend the school.

Fantastic experience: I have been taking lessons with Eruben since January and every lesson was amazing! I had no experience driving prior so he suggested the 10 lesson package which was worth every penny! I was able to take my time and ask as many questions as I wanted, as Eruben was very informative. I took 2 additional lessons outside of my package since my test was a month away, so I took refreshers the week of my test and he explained the entire route of the driving exam and every single thing I needed to know. If I had to do it all over I would pick The Hudson brother driving school every time. I passed my road test the very first time and it took under 10 minutes from start to finish! Ruben is truly one of the BEST teachers I have ever had. He is professional, patient, supportive, caring, and provides a safe environment for students. He really understands that every student is different. Unfortunately, I didn’t pass the 1st, 2nd, or even 3rd time. My anxiety was getting the better of me, but Ruben was supportive and switched up some of the lessons to help me with my anxiety. I can honestly say I didn't just grow as a driver but as a person overall. The hardest part is saying bye when it's all said and done. I wouldn’t have wanted to take this journey with any other teacher. God led me to Ruben who is such a gift to his students.

Fantastic experience: I am a graduate student at Columbia and needed to learn how to drive before moving to a different state for a job after graduation. I never drove before taking the lessons with Ruben. He is a great experienced teacher who assesses your level of comfort and proficiency, starting with the very basics (if you need it) and building upon that. I took 9 lessons with him and passed the road test on the first try. Importantly, Ruben was very responsive and accommodating in terms of lesson schedule around my classes and timing for getting my license before I move. In contrast to other driving schools in the area, with Ruben, you will have one teacher who tracks your progress and truly cares about you passing the test and driving safely after you get you license. Negative experience: My sister went in about three weeks ago to inquire about driving lessons. The girl at the front desk asked her to leave her name and number and that they will call her back. The driving test was two weeks away and she wanted a couple of classes. Well, the test has come and gone and they’ve never called. The place was pretty raggedy but as long as the instructors were competent we would’ve not cared what it looked like. We wanted to give it a shot but they never called at all.

Fantastic experience: This morning I passed the road test, and it is all thanks to Ruben!! I highly recommend that you take driving lessons with Ruben. He is a wonderful instructor who has patience, respect, and words of encouragement. Ruben explains each lesson in detail and specifies any errors you have made with the utmost sincerity and professionalism. My permit expires on March 16 of this year and I was booked for 7 lessons in February as well as the road test. However, due to the severe weather conditions, Ruben rescheduled my lessons for the beginning of March and my road test for March 15. Despite his tight scheduled, he still accommodated me. Not only did he follow COVID-19 guidelines, but his vehicle was extremely hygienic which we can certainly appreciate during these difficult times. This was a great early birthday gift!!

Fantastic experience: I just passed my road test this morning!!!!! It was my second time taking it and I was super confident. Ruben did an exquisite job in teaching me how to drive. He is patient, professional and straight forward with what needs work. Ruben takes the time to give you pointers on exactly what you need and follows it up with words of encouragement and acknowledgment! I highly, highly recommend this driving school! I most definitely recommend Ruben as a driving instructor/teacher!

Fantastic experience: For someone who has never drove before, the very act of stepping into a vehicle can be nerve wreaking. However, with Ruben that’s all forgotten he is as patient and kind an Instrutor should be. I have had the pleasure on learning from him and not only do I have my drivers license but I am also more confident stepping into a vehicle. Thank you Ruben!!!!!!!
