Fantastic experience: My son learned alot at Defensive Driving School of Kent. The online classes were super convenient for our busy schedules. Website was easy to navigate for easy scheduling of drives and the observation. The school is at a great location where traffic is light on non peak hours of the day, which made for less stressful drives for my son. There's also ample space in the back to practice parallel parking . Lincoln was a wonderful student driver teacher and answered my various questions! Overall, excellent customer service for our beginning driver! I highly recommend this school for new drivers!!!

Negative experience: I took an online test at the office. I found something is problem in opening the account. All of the informations that I filled are correct and yet I can’t get into the account. I asked the examiner for help but he answered he doesn’t know, I should figure it out by myself. But I have no idea he should’ve help me. I paid for the exam $35. $35 is not a joke. I was really disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Great experience, I will sign my youngest up here as soon as it is time. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, easy to communicate with and scheduling as well.

Fantastic experience: Clay is a really nice drivers instructor and he explains stuff really well! He's also just a friendly person and makes sure we understand the topic instead of just rushing past it. Clays a winner

Negative experience: 100000% would not recommend. On top of material being outdated they also make rescheduling drives extremely difficult. My child was sick and contagious and they still refused to let us reschedule the drive without a large fee. Insane how they want a new driver driving while sick and also risking the health of the driving instructor.

Negative experience: Very expensive he used orange poles for cars example parallel park in between poles and used the driveway for hill and flunked me he made it confusing don't test here it's a ripoff

Negative experience: was following behind one of the cars yesterday and i'll admit i was tail gating them a little bit since they were going around 5 mph in a neighborhood then when i dropped my friend off they parked behind me so i couldnt leave then some old guy got out of the car and threatened me by saying he would punch me in my face (he swore alot during it) even though im a minor.

Fantastic experience: Shout out to my course instructors Clay and Paul!! Clay is a very fun guy who explains the course very well and makes the course more enjoyable. Paul is a keyboard legend who is impossibly quick with answering all questions in the Q&A section and is super polite. They both handle the class very well and I’m super grateful for them!

Positive experience: The school itself is pretty nice and convenient. I’m giving a 3 star review because of an instructor - Rick Bartlett. The two times my daughter has had the displeasure of driving with him, it has been nothing short of infuriating and disheartening. The first time he grabbed the wheel without saying anything when she was entering a highway (even though she was driving fine), which freaked her out. He was worried about her hitting the potholes in the highway. He’s the only one you can schedule with for the drivers license test and he failed her for apparently not stopping long enough at a stop sign. He said she “sat weird” in the seat (she’s short and has short legs and arms so she has to sit close to the wheel). She passed the class final test with no problem with a different instructor. It’s no wonder others have been having bad experiences with him. Until they convince him to retire or use him less with driving tests, i wouldn’t recommend them. She’s a good driver. I’ve road with her to Tacoma during rush hour from Covington and she’s even drove to Spokane with my wife. DON’T PAY TO SCHEDULE ANYTHING WITH RICK!

Fantastic experience: With thanks to the Instructors that work here I was able to pass my test on the third try, third times a charm they say haha! Along with the Instructor Japhet who was really patient as well as helpful in explaining what I needed to improve continued with positive feedback. I had a great time learning to drive here. ^_^

Fantastic experience: I took my driving tests at the Defensive Driving School in Kent. Japhet was my testing instructor and he gave me very thorough feedback regarding ways to improve driving strategies including illustrations of explanations after my drivers test. It was very helpful for me because he was patient and understanding about new drivers like myself with the desire to clarify their knowledge and get better. He took at least 15 min after my test to ensure I understood where I needed to improve on and emphasized safety driving practices in his explanations. I would highly recommend taking lessons and taking the drivers test with Japhet. He is professional and communicative. He provides helpful post-test guidance and creates a comfortable environment to ask questions. I had a great experience at Defensive Driving School in Kent with Japhet as my testing instructor. I cannot say the same for other testing instructor who gave rushed feedback after the drivers test and when I asked to clarify they said “you should know this,” while moving to their next tester.

Negative experience: The old man instructor at this driving school is extremely judgmental sexist & prejudiced & very very picky. I took my test twice paid $90 both times & he failed me each time extremely ridiculous reasons. I went to the 911 driving school in Kent & passed my first time with a very high score. Was told that my driving was perfect there. I definitely would not recommend going to this driving school. Especially if you’re a young female with tattoos. I would 100% recommend the 911 driving school, they give you tips before you start your test, they are very friendly & understanding plus it’s only $70.

Negative experience: This place is severely under budgeted and understaffed, the lone instructor they have is terrible, doesn't know some of the laws such as being able to enter a bike lane on a right turn as long as it's vacant. He is also very prejudice, if you have tattoos or visible piercings you already failed because he assumes you're a degenerate. Just go to 911 driving school, they have more than 1 instructor and a lot more experience and a lot cheaper! Don't waste your time with this place!

Negative experience: Would not recommend this place for the driving test. I took my driving test yesterday in Auburn and my overall score was a very high grade but I didn’t pass due to an error that occurred at the end of the exam. Then I came here to take it a 2nd time and the instructor I got gave me a way lower score than the other instructor at the location in Auburn. Clearly the instructors here are way more strict!! Not coming here again. This place is also very expensive. The knowledge test here is also more expensive as well as the driving test. I paid $50 in Auburn and paid $90 here for the driving test. I paid $35 here for the knowledge test and it was $20 at the Auburn location. I feel very ripped off!!!! The instructor I got had a bad attitude and was very strict. I will not be coming here again and will not be recommending this location to any of my friends or siblings. Bad place to take a driving test! I wouldn’t be surprised if they failed people (who didn’t take their driving classes)and then recommended their classes just to get more money and more clients. Seems to be a scam they are running. KEEP CLEAR OF THIS SCHOOL!!

Negative experience: I had my wallet stolen on Saturday night so naturally i call to reschedule my appointment or cancel right? here’s the kicker, they’re closed on Sundays and when i call to explain on Monday when i can finally get a hold of someone, they tell me there’s a 48 hours notice for reschedules required or id have to purchase another driving test. just don’t want anyone else going through the same headache if they don’t have a form of ID and are misfortunate enough to have booked their appointment at this driving school. i know the school isn’t responsible for what happened, but they also didn’t make it less stressful than it should’ve been.

Fantastic experience: I honestly think I would not have passed my driver's test if it weren't for the lessons I took at Defensive Driving School in Kent. As someone who is in their 30s and finally learning to drive, I had tried a couple of driving schools and was floundering in my one on one driving sessions. When I signed up with Defensive Driving School, my confidence went up, I understood driving concepts much better and felt like the communication of where I went wrong and how I could improve was clear and concise. I'm incredibly thankful for the patience and understanding provided through this school and will highly recommend it to any other nervous adults I know that are looking to finally get their license! Vallare was my driving instructor and I can’t say enough good thing about her she was helpful, patient, and just a great driving instructor. Fantastic experience: Gayan was a great instructor. He did not just teach the rules, but also the why behind them. I learned a ton about driving safely and in a easy to remember way. He broke the tension with light hearted whit which was appreciated during the potentially stressful drives learning new things.

Fantastic experience: I was worried that I wasn't going to get enough information to feel confident enough to pass my driving test but my instructor Gayan gave more information than I ever could have hoped for and gave me the confidence I needed to pass my tests.

Fantastic experience: I was nervous about going to drivers Ed online but the teachers/ instructors are really good about working with you and are super patient with you. My teacher is Vallare and she is super good at explaining the materials as well as giving you techniques, tips, tricks. I’m so happy I decided to go with this driving school and I would recommend to everyone ! :)

Even though I have driven many years I was surprised at how some of my ol driving habits and how they could cause me some problems!
