Negative experience: Was not impressed by the instructor stepping out of their car and immediately saying ... that a new driver needed to hurry up because they were on a time crash. They are new drivers. Some are nervous, some are cautious... Don't rush them! Not happy.

Fantastic experience: Mike was a phenomenal instructor! He made Joseph feel at ease, made jokes, and provided constructive criticism when necessary. I would definitely recommend Driving Right.

Fantastic experience: I took my lessons with Suzzie. She was an amazing instructor. My driving test was with Mike. He took his time to explain what was expected of me before I began the test. He made sure that I was comfortable during the whole test session. Thank you Driving Right!!!

Fantastic experience: Claudia was super nice and very supportive throughout the drivers test. She made me feel very comfortable and I’m very happy to have had her as my instructor.

Fantastic experience: Didn’t take any lessons with this school, but took my test with them through Mike. Totally fair, just, clear in directions and friendly. I was able to book my test date within a few days from calling and everything worked out perfectly. Put your trust in this school and their services. Edit: I read a lot of comments about Mike, quite a few of them mention him poking them or trying to get their attention while they drove, I feel like they are a bit dramatized. During my test, he tried to engage me in conversation as well, without obviously putting our lives in danger, and I took that as part of the test as well and never took my eyes off the road or engaged in talk while my attention needed to be on the road. To me it was fair and I understood why he was doing that, because real life driving presents obstacles like that and it’s the drivers responsibility to stay locked in on the road and their surrounding traffic. On the flip side, he also offered comforting talk, tips on driving, and positive affirmations every time I did well on following the rules or taking the right action on the road. Bottom line is, if you’re taking the test with him and he fails you, you really need to put in more time on the road and practice.

Fantastic experience: They offered in person classes and my son just took his exam last week and passed, yay! I have a kid who can drive. Now he just needs a car!

Fantastic experience: I took classes from Floyd and took my road test with Claudia. Floyd is a very skilled trainer. He taught me all the tactics of driving so well that I can say I am very comfortable and confident in driving around now. Claudia was very calm throughout my test. I was nervous as most of the first time drivers. But she made me feel relaxed and her instruction was clear, which helped me a lot to pass my test.I would highly recommend driving right school to any learner! It’s a great place to begin your driving journey.

Fantastic experience: We didn't have driving lessons here, but my teen took the road test and it was a great experience. The instructor Mike was friendly, kind, and explained everything clearly. His calm instructions eased my teen's nerves and helped make the test as pleasant as this potentially stressful milestone could be. And bonus - they passed! (But I feel like if they hadn't, Mike would have explained clearly and encouragingly what needed to change to be successful the next time.)

Fantastic experience: Such a great experience, both my lesson instructor and drivers test examiner were extremely kind and patient. Susie did my lessons, she was helpful and answered all my questions. I did my test with Mike and he was extremely nice and made sure to give clear instructions and feedback!

Negative experience: I failed twice at this place. The examiner's altitude here is super bad. In particular, the first time I took the exam, a guy yelled at me and cursed a lot when I made a simple mistake. Never took a driving test here. If you are a new driver, you will most likely have bad memories that will take a lot of time to recover from. Not only me, but many of my friends and colleagues have been treated horribly here. I passed my driving test at another place with ease on the first try. The examiners there are super nice and friendly.

Fantastic experience: I just took my test and fortunately I passed it. I took my test with Claudia as my Examiner, I would say that she is very great as an examiner and educator. I would really recommend to take your road test at this place.

Negative experience: Absolutely terrible place to take the road test. I would not recommend going here especially if you need to use that places vehicle. The parking sensors on my instructor's car kept going off extremely loudly whenever something was within 3 feet. Which she, Claudia, said to just ignore. Which inevitably caused me to fail the driving test since you have to reverse park within two feet of the curb. Even after an hour of being away from it caused ringing in my ears and a migraine. They should not be using a vehicle like this for this purpose. Not only that the tester Claudia is not the person to be tested by. She was not understanding, she also made my nerves 10 x worse. After calling them to try to schedule with a different person. Found out that she is the only person that is not booked out, wonder why? Would not recommend this place and the only reason I have to use this place is because of the location.

Fantastic experience: I passed my road test this week! Mike was my examiner and he was a very nice grandpa who was very patient and supportive when I took the road test. If you want to have a great experience in your road test, choose Mike to be your examiner!

Positive experience: It’s good place just know u pay before you Schedule an appointment But Claudia is a nice person. Yes, she will work with you. I’m hands on but she isn’t a bad person I think she actually amazing she just doing her job

Both Michael and Claudia are fantastic, patient, and so knowledgeable - they have completed thousands of tests over the years! Fantastic experience: Everything from beginning to end was very easy. Driving Right Training School are very prompt in responding. We took driving lessons with Susie. She is very knowledgeable and experienced instructor. She explains all skills in such a way that it is very easy to remember ( she called it as "Susieism" ). Scheduling Lessons and Road test was also easy ( Just a call away ). Trisha the road test examiner was also very calm and patient with new drivers. She explains all the rules very thoroughly. She also provided some very good tips at the end of the test. Overall it was very pleasure experience for us and we would highly recommend DRTS for your licensing journey. Good luck to all new drivers and let me assure you that if you go through DRTS you do not need to worry about anything. Thanks.!!!!

Fantastic experience: My daughter took driver's training here and it was a very good experience. The instructors are very knowledgeable and gave great feedback during the final test. Having a practice course for students to use gives them the confidence they need to pass!

I was very nervous and anxious before taking the road test, but his presence made me feel very relaxed and happy. He was very responsible and patient during the road test. Negative experience: I came from Saginaw to take my road test here due to the long wait period in Saginaw I unfortunately got Tresha as my driver instructor the lady with the really long back who showed a ton of racism she never even greeted me she’s a very rude and unhelpful instructor I wouldn’t recommend coming here to anyone Save your time and money they are not here to help I have many years of driver experience

Negative experience: I liked the school overall, hence the first star I even gave, but the road testers are awful, if you go here, do not take your road test with Claudia, she is nice until you hand her the money and then her optic is to make you anxious until you fail. I took my test here and failed, went elsewhere a week later and passed. Do not waste your money and take it to better kinder people who have your best interest in mind.

Fantastic experience: I completed driving training as an adult driver. Driving Right Training School, especially Susie helped me prepare for my exam and pass on my first attempt. Susie is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and supportive on the road! Practicing with Susie made me more comfortable and knowledgable on the road, and I could have not done it without her! Trisha, my examiner was also very friendly and was able to explain my tasks and after the test explained what I should continue to work on. If you are looking for a driving school, Driving Right Training School is the place to go!! DRTS provides easy scheduling, and are very responsive to email and phone messages.

My road test was very professional and everyone was always super kind. I 100% recommend this if you are a new driver or if you have a kid who is learning how to drive.

Negative experience: Absolutely the worst experience, they discriminate against people with disabilities! We will never go back here again! They hire state troopers and they think they are GOD! Trisha was so mean to my daughter with autism! Stay far away! We went to another testing site and she passed! Trisha is a complete a-hole! She should not be testing anyone! Cannot believe how we were treated! She never smiled once and completely hates life! Good luck if you go here!

Negative experience: If you are Black, speak with a foreign accent, or do not like Putin, I highly discourage you from taking a road test in this location. There is definitely a deliberate profiling and discrimination against a wide swath of minorities in this location. Read the reviews with 1 star: my spouse and I had exactly the same experience. The tester was poking my wife in her thigh with a pencil during the test on the highway and yelled at her. Possibly he didn't like a small Ukrainian flag on the lanyard. He also bragged of having his birthday on the same day with Putin. UPDATE: Two days after the traumatic experience with emotionally incontinent Mike at Driving Right, my wife passed the road test in Lansing (on Holmes Rd.) without a single hitch. The tester highly praised her driving skills.

Tia in the office was so friendly in helping me get a test scheduled quickly and Claudia made the road test as stress free as possible! Negative experience: Mike was absolutely terrible, my gf took a test with him for starters he was all smiles when I got out of the car but once he saw my gf was black it quickly turned into a straight face, he was very impatient with her and rushed her along the parking portion, insisted I stayed at the church and sit in one of the cars they provide which wasn’t warmed up and key east left with car, during the drive he was touching her legs saying she needed to “go faster” which him even touching her is inappropriate let alone Covid restrictions, he kept grabbing the steering wheel and made her pull over on the side of the highway and wouldn’t let her move until she answered his questions. Which unless it an emergency stoping on the highway is hazardous. Claimed she was a habitual speeder and was hostile towards me when I asked him to elaborate, all in all this place is a scam took my money just to flunk her and didn’t even offer to give discount if we returned. Do not go here..

Fantastic experience: I have never driven before. Susie gave me very good and detailed training all along the way, and has always been a caring and sweet friend of mine. And Claudia made my tests (I had to retake the test because I am inexperienced, had no one and no car to practice with) so much easier with extra guidance and help. Driving is a serious business and it is a very good beginning that I learn to take responsibilities for both myself and other people seriously. My parents would always be worried for me but at least the training I received would lift their burden a bit. Would highly recommend for anyone who had no experience and considered driving as a necessary and serious skill to master!

She also pinpointed what I need to improve on, which was very helpful to think about before the test. He may sound mean ish while driving, but he's really not he just trying to get a point into your head to keep you safe . Ahmed also brought some fun to the class room it was very boring. Fantastic experience: I took my road test yesterday with Tom. He was very encouraging the entire time which helped me really calm down. One of the first things he said was, "Ask better questions, get better answers." Even during the test he stressed to not stop learning, which helped me a lot during the test. It was overall a very positive experience. They really want you to pass your tests, and it shows. This school really does it right!
