Fantastic experience: Went on my drive time today it was so fun and a learning experience I learned so much. Their are so many amazing personable people at best choice,tat it makes you feel at home. It really is the BEST CHOICE!!!

Fantastic experience: I am very happy with my experience at this school. My permit was about to expire so I was added to a fast list. I was able to finish and pass the school before my permit expired, and they even let me drive myself home after because I didn’t have a ride. I learned more about signs, roads, etc and was able to practice and better my driving. This school has definitely helped me with my driving and I would recommend it. The employees were very nice, and good with coaching/teaching me to become a better driver. :)

He teaches through real life experiences and lectures that will make you view driving from another point of view. My favorite instructor is mr.Garry he is very humorous and having class with him very educational. Best choice driving school is really the best choice you will not be disappointed when choosing this driving school.

Fantastic experience: TROOPER COOPER IS THE BEST!!! he’s taught me so much more than I thought I knew. He’s honest and gives real life examples. He took us outside and had us look at the car and some of the features. He also taught us how to check your oil. If you haven’t came to best choice driving school you don’t know how to really drive.

The instructors in class were all very informative and implemented different teaching styles to suit for all the possible learning style each of of the student had. But my favorite part was getting Mr. Fred as my instructor! He was so patient and informative in the safest and easiest ways to drive and pass for the skills test and for the rest of my life. Negative experience: Trooper Cooper felt like a bully in the classroom. He taught well, but it did not feel like a friendly and welcoming environment. I did one drive time and the older gentleman who was my instructor treated me terribly. It must've been the same instructor from Mel's review 2 years ago because he said the same things. Blamed and accused my working parents for not teaching me perfect skills when it was his job to do so. When I scheduled my next drive time they were booked for 4 months. The day of my appointment, after waiting that long, I was cancelled on. Between working graveyard shift 50 hours a week and covid I was unable to rescheduled that drive time until now. And they're telling me I have waited too long, am no longer in their system, and have to re-enroll in the classes I already paid for and passed? The prices here aren't even comparative. And now they want me to pay double. Go anywhere else, because here you'll be singled out in class, referred to by a rude nickname, and possibly get an instructor who will shame and degrade you.

Fantastic experience: Best choice is hands down one of, if not the best learning experience ive ever head, first off mrs. Linda makes it super easy and quick doing paperwork and weighing out your payment plans, secondly the teachers are so diverse and innovative which each style! Mr. Richard is great and has a bunch of stories about the fire department. Mr. Gary is cool because he conducted trains and has some awesome experiences also. Last but not least trooper cooper is the best, he gets everyone involved in a fun and creative way in which you are still learning the basic rules of the road would definitely recommend to every teen or even adult.

Fantastic experience: This driving school isn´t like a normal everyday school, which was a good thing for me because going to school for 7-8 hours and then going to another school for 3 more hours would make me exhausted. The school gives multiple instructors that all have different styles of teaching, so there's a variety of ways in case you're a type of student that prefers lecture or activities. Trooper Cooper is always full of energy and gets everyone to engage. As a person that doesn't normally talk much, he got the whole class (10 in total due to covid impacts) to create bonds and honestly although there are adults in the class which may unsettle some high school students, we all seem to get along well. He did separate us, not sure of the motive but it may help for some people. Mr. Gary, I only had him once because he had an appointment, but he is funny and gets the class to laugh. He even brought in a snack from one of his stories that happened to him and that was nice to experience. Mr. Richard is more of the lecture type and tells us stories as well. Ms. Linda is also nice too as she reminds us of things that need to get done, like signing in or paper work and both of those are important. Trooper Cooper makes learning easy with a lot of repetition and games that have helped me a lot and feel ready for the final test that we'll do on the last day. He takes time to create relationships with his students, however, he does take driving education seriously because it is a serious thing. He took us for a walk as well to get some visuals on where to stop, the types of turns, and how to do things properly. I know my review is long but this driving school really teaches well and everyone there works together to help us become more comfortable when going to take the state test and just driving in general. A lot form Best Choice Driving School has helped me and gives opportunities for different types of learning experiences and everyone is respected. Also another thing to add is that the instructors all have different experiences. Trooper Cooper is a state Trooper, Mr. Gary used to work as a conductor (trains) and Mr. Richard was a firefighter. They also brought in a guy from the national guard so not only are you exposed to normal driving experiences. You also get advice on careers and how you'd want to go on in life. Of course everyone will have a separate experience from me, I just hope me telling mine publicly will help you decide which school you want to go to.

Negative experience: I took classes a few years ago & was told in order to get drive time I’d have to get outside drive time from someone else. I informed Trooper Cooper I was new to Maryland & didn’t have anyone to take me out. He then said I’d have to purchase additional hours after paying over $300 for the class itself. I still have 2 unused lessons I paid for. If you’re green behind the ears and don’t have anyone in your corner to guide you through this driving journey I don’t recommend this driving school.

Positive experience: I’ve really appreciated Trooper Cooper’s guide through The Best Choice Driving school because he didn’t just teach us, he made sure we understood along the way because he actually cared. For everyone who’s looking for a great instructor and a great learning experience, I completely recommend this one. He even gave us visual representations by letting us actually go out to apply our knowledge to real situations.

Fantastic experience: I chose to go to best choice driving school and that decision did not disappoint! my instructor Trooper Cooper always makes sure everyone one understands and retains the important information from our lessons. This is my second time having to go to driving school due (because of missed classes) and this experience was much better than the first...I am soooo glad Trooper Cooper was my instructor. He even had the firmen and firewomen come and visit us!

Fantastic experience: This is from day four of my driving classes, Trooper Cooper has yet to disappoint! From the first day you get the feeling that he really cares, and he does. He took us outside to give us visual examples in regards to intersection visibility, and C vs. L turns. He was able to have the firefighters stop by for a bit so we could ask questions and get a better look at the firetruck (see pics). For anyone looking for a quality class, I can't recommend Best Choice enough. They offer both in-person and online classes. I would recommend the in-person option so you get a chance to learn from Trooper Cooper himself. And yes, I'm the guy in the Mario shirt.

Negative experience: So I’m not going to say who i am but i took my drive time test a couple of months ago and i keep pushing my next one back because the guy was so rude, he keeps tissues in the car because he makes people cry and he’s proud of that. He said do i have a mental illness because i forgot what the leakage under the car was. I wish i went to a different driving school. This was the worst experience ever!

Negative experience: if i could leave zero stars i would!! a personal friend had her first drive time today, whoever her instructor was was extremely unprofessional and extremely disrespectful. he blamed her for quite literally everything and claimed her mother was a “bad driving instructor” as if it’s not HIS JOB to be an instructor and help her as needed. it got to the point where she cried due to feeling completely degraded and anxious, and when she stated that, he claimed “she wasn’t diagnosed and was using that as an excuse because she didn’t study”?! he also claimed she was, again, making excuses as she stated she can only drive once or twice a week since her mother is a working woman and stated that “if she wanted to drive, she would”. i’m disgusted to say the very least.

Negative experience: Information that my stepson is getting is incorrect and he’s terrified of driving the road because of this place like they told him so many horror stories about driving that now he really doesn’t wanna drive and it stresses him out to a maximum level aren’t they supposed to be teaching them what to do on the road like for example turn left on this by putting your blinker on or how do you reverse my driver school was the best driver school ever heard of they taught me not to be afraid but be aware of the things they taught me made me a good driver

Negative experience: Let me start by saying that my rating is not a reflection of our family’s overall experience. However, our last experience with the instructor Fred reduced our perception of this being a good program that will work with teens to build their knowledge and confidence, while learning to drive. From the start of my daughter’s 3rd drive time experience at the Edgewood location, Fred was condescending and brash. During our initial interaction, he referred to me, a grown woman, as “girl”! I politely requested that he not address me as “girl”, to which he chose to dismiss my feeling of disrespect. After learning that my daughter scheduled her MVA test for the following day, Fred made it his mission to antagonize her about what he deemed to be an error. As my daughter became visibly irritated with his repetitive comments about not scheduling her driving test prior to her last drive time, Fred took her irritation as an invitation to keep digging....making sure that she was aware of how many people he failed already on this day. Although I spoke to my daughter prior to her actual drive time to calm her down, Fred was counterproductive with his constant negativity. During the drive time, my daughter had a hard time understanding Fred’s “routine” directions that were analogies of what was expected rather than direct instruction. I have been present during instruction led by Trooper Cooper and while he was authoritative, he was never condescending or dismissive to the students. Additionally, Fred instructed my daughter to cancel her scheduled drive time at the MVA for the next day. We did not! There was no 3-day mandatory wait time to take the test. She did pass her test, and she was not antagonized, criticized, or made to feel less than by the instructor at the MVA. Fred’s tactics of “preparing” students for the MVA drive test by being overly critical, and overly brash is not what I would recommend to the Harford County Community. There are so many other details that led me to leave this review that I can not include. If your child is paired with Fred for any drive time, I would recommend that a parent ride along just to supervise the supervisor. Thank you to the other staff members at this location that help build, and not breakdown their students.

Negative experience: I’ll gladly leave a reply as to why .. 6 , SIX of my family members were in the same class .. on THE LAST day you told us there was an additional fee.. so i called and spoke to Andrea .. she was the nastiest rudest human I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. She started laughing saying “ you really thought you were only paying 150 for driving school ” she blamed me when clearly none of us heard or read that. And it was not stated clearly on your website or advertisement at the time .. We aren’t the only ones , i have plenty of proof of everything . My kids are terrified to schedule drive time fearing she will answer the phone and be nasty. Also, there was a whole group of us talking about it on Facebook . Y’all didn’t want people to see that so you removed it. I’ll go on every single platform i can find about you to warn everyone. We were in the middle of a pandemic just trying to give our kids some normalcy and this is how we were treated .

Fantastic experience: I just finished my behind the wheel 1 with Trooper Cooper and i'm glad he was my first choice and after i finished my behind the wheel 1 i realized he was the best choice.

Negative experience: THEY SCHEDULED MY DRIVE TIME TO BE AT 8:30 & IT IS NOW 9:00 & NO ONE HAS GIVEN ME A CALL OR ANYTHING IN REGARDS TO MY DRIVE TIME

Fantastic experience: It is a very good driving school it was a fun experience learned lots of things I learned how to turn correctly I learned the you need to signal 100ft before making your turns. This class was fun but it also taught us about respect and laws of the road the teachers we amazing and very welcoming another reason this is a good driving school is because they care about all of us and making sure we stay safe on the road.

We had multiple instructors for visual, audio and kinesthetic learning, they showed videos and we had repetitive learning to remember specific key topics and on top of that, they gave us 110%. I am very glad that I chose to go to attend this school. As someone with a learning deficiency, I really feel like I am educated to know the importance of safe driving. Another thing I liked about this school is that they allow additional drive time which allows students that cannot do drive time the ability to do so.
