Roadmaster Drivers School of Fontana, CA

Negative experience: Let me Start off by saying if you choose Roadmaster you will get your class A CDL license (possibly) BUT!!! You have to be okay with feeling like a little kid in school again getting locked behind a gate outside in the blazing summer or freezing winter depending on when you start. They promise it’s like a month program but it will probably be longer because there is 1 instructor per like 15 + student and you will average maybe 30 minutes in the truck per day per 7:30am to 5:30pm shift. If you are okay with being told you can’t be late but the instructors can then this is the place for you and also if you like “certain” instructors (Robert) to humiliate you or talk rudely to you if you are late and to say “sorry to the rest of the class that I’m interrupting your learning cause this student was late” instead of just talking to a student on a break it makes them feel more superior and stokes their ego. Theres DMV instructors on site which is nice shout out to Paul and Monica cause they are the best. Monica may talk down on you but you can tell she actually cares. If you get Eric I feel bad for you because he is impatient and rude and contradicts all the training you did before. There isn’t enough studying for PTI they give you a slightly outdated paper as well and tell you some trucks have different parts but it’s your job to remember it anyways. Also Richard and Tim are goated also. Rick doesn’t care if you actually learn and is a cross between Richard Simmons and SpongeBob. After you deal with all this drama and some days a big waste of time and you get your license then CONGRATULATIONS and also now you have a loan that is super over charged if your lucky you only gotta pay about $17000 if you didn’t stay in a hotel and about double that if you did. So yes a whole Month or 2 program for $17000 hella worth it in my opinion. Also if you start to lag behind because lack of instructors and getting to practice don’t you worry because they will make sure to put you on probation and let you know if you don’t finish within 1 week on probation you will be kicked out of Roadmaster drivers school and still have your $17000 loan to pay with no license. Who could ask for more?

Fantastic experience: Roadmaster is a great School wherever I do not like the fact that the enrollment fee was mentioned on the first day I felt like that that should have been mentioned before I came to the school on my first day also the school had a hotel and instead of asking me do I live with someone close by they never asked to see if I was going through something to see if I needed to be in the hotel but other than that the instruction was great the teaching was great the learning was great

Made a few friends along the way, and the instructors were not only knowledgeable but very helpful in learning what I needed to know to become a successful truck driver. And to Paul and Joel who I had the pleasure in working with taught me so much on straight line backing, off-sets, parallel parking and alley dock. They also use a 53' trailer unlike some of these "off brand no name" driving schools that use those cute little micro trailers lol. Fantastic experience: It was a great experience. The instructors were detailed and thorough during training. The atmosphere was positive and welcoming. Although I had some rough days grasping the concept, I am super grateful to have a staff that was patient and understanding.

Fantastic experience: In 1998 I first got my Class A license (CDL) and after some years I went in a different direction of work, when doing so I let my license expire. 13 years later I decided to go to Roadmasters (Fontana) and get my license again. Mentally I was sure that I wouldn't learn anything new do to the fact I had about 300,000 miles of over the road (OTR) experience, not only was I wrong, as I learned things that I'd never even considered thinking about. Keep in mind in the 90's a lot of us drivers were taught by experienced drivers of the companies we worked for "but" they really didn't have a designed structure to training, it's just the way it was back then. Turns out that going to Roadmasters in Fontana was the best decision I ever could have made. I not only got my CDL's again but I have been able to "quickly" get employed right out of school and I must say, that me personally, I've never made "so" much money before in my life and if you knew my background you'd understand that is saying a lot. The instructors are all skilled professionals and can help you obtain the "safe" skills you need to become a professional Class A Truck Driver. Shout out to Robert for "not" letting me quit and to Monica for teaching this old dude some driving techniques that I use everyday on the road. Positive experience: During my training I was dealing with alot of outside personal family matters. The staff was friendly and my classmate's were awesome getting and keeping me focused on my goal. I loved all my instructors but Monica was outstanding!!. Trust the process and it works. I switched schools to come here and that was the best decision I made following my instincts.

Negative experience: Couldnt start heres. Went through WIOA program waited 3 months to start school, theire excuse was my background didnt come in yet. I lost 3 months of time because of them. Also you will have a E restriction on your license they only train with automatic transmission. If you like wasting your time, Go to this school.

Negative experience: Tuition here costs are 7k for 3-4 weeks. They will give you studying material that aren’t in the dmv test and then make you take a test that is unrelated to getting the permit. You are better off studying on your own to get your permit and then choosing a different school to learn the hands on driving from at a much lower tuition cost. The only thing that is good about this school is that they do give you employment after you graduate from this course but if you are not trying to work for Werner, you are better off looking elsewhere.

Positive experience: I give 3 star to this school. It is a good school to get you started from zero to a CDL. They teach you to get CDL then a bit more real world knowledge such as trip planning and log book. Student service is pretty poor, do you research, this school is associated with Warner, so if you not working for Warner you are kind of on your own with job search. Was send to Arizona for testing, told I will get a hotel room from them over there but when I arrive I had to pay my own hotel. Overall, instructor are good, stick to it and trusting the process! Student service really needs to improve and it is ambiguous, inconsistent!

Fantastic experience: Tremendous overall experience learning a new skill that I had no previous experience in doing. Like anything worth while, you’ll get out it what you put into it. Definitely need to apply yourself and be open minded enough to absorb the various instructions and lessons from multiple instructors. Be prepared to have your personal affairs in order and able to work long days. Truly appreciate the professionalism, competence and flexibility of all the personnel at the Phoenix school house as well as Fontana. Roadmasters is a really good school they have lots of useful information I still use, i was amazed at how quickly I had a job waiting for me I thought that was cool. I recall thinking at one point I can’t do this! I was having difficulty with the maneuvers and shifting the gears i began having doubts & I remember praying asking the Lord to please help me get through this. The following day while out driving with our instructor I heard the Holy Spirit clearly speak to me He said ( “Just listen to your instructor“ ) And that was truly the turning point for me Experiencing Gods faithfulness in my time of need. Friends if you ever find yourself in a difficult situation call upon the Lord and ask for help. I just want to thank all the instructors in the classroom, or I. The skills paid for their motivation, help, kindness, and most of all dedication to safety, and good teaching practices. I want to name particularly Mr. Vega for his commitment to high quality education and training.thank you all for an outstanding method, organization, and execution.

Positive experience: I am mostly pleased and satisfied with the training, support and thoroughness of the truck driving training at Roadmaster Fontana CA. . I must express one concern I have regarding one particular instructor however. First of all, I believe all of the other instructors have found a respectful balance between positive reinforcement and encouragement and the sometimes little tougher negative reinforcement that is needed that stretches students out of their comfort zone. Most instructors were respectful, professional and sought to individualize instruction based on student’s needs, tendencies and learning style. Instructor Rudy did not display these training qualities. It is my opinion that Rudy's style bordered on harassment. He was most often extremely brash, verbally abusive and often disrespectful to the learners. On at least two occasions, he mocked and insulted myself, and I also witnessed this with other students through the 3-4 weeks of training . My frustration with Instructor Rudy began when he insisted that the way he was teaching was the right way and the “only way”. Even though I had already spent 2 weeks prior to being with him working with other instructors studying, memorizing and putting into practice the material. But according to Rudy it was wrong and that I must immediately learn his way before I could drive his truck on the road. In my opinion, his harshness, lecturing and badgering was extremely unprofessional and unproductive to my training in my opinion. Other than that, I would recommend Road Masters Driving School in Fontana CA. Thank You so much to Robert, Rick, Ms Monica, Richard, Fred, and Joel.

I had never met instructors and staff that actually care that you graduate and get your CDL. Not only did I learn but I had a good time here at Roadmaster. Negative experience: They steal your personal info. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH ANYTHING. They lied to me about filling out a form. They told me that I had to fill out the paperwork before speaking with the admissions coordinator. I made it clear that I only wanted to listen and was not sure i wanted to attend the school. While sitting in the office, I got a notification that they were running my credit... before I agreed. They claim that giving them the information was giving my approval but they lied and said they wouldn't use the info until I approved. So, I took the paperwork back before leaving but apparently they copied it and put it into their files. I've been asking them to remove the credit inquiry for a year. Now they are lying again by saying I need to give them my info for them to take it off. In other words, they want an excuse to having my info so they can pretend like they are doing me a favor. When in reality, they have my info ILLEGALLY. They made a copy of my info ILLEGALLY. This school needs to be investigated by the proper authorities ASAP!!! I HAVE A REPORT ON BBB AND NOW I'M ALSO FILING WITH ALL OF THE CREDIT BUREAUS AS WELL AS A CLAIM FOR FRAUD. THEY ARE CROOKED LIARS AND I CAUGHT THEM!!! DO NOT TRUST THEM FOR ANYTHING!!! Just look at all of the fake reviews!!! All the 5 star reviews are random accounts with 1 review only. They are crooks!!! Do not trust them!!! Just look at their cheap response. It's like they didn't even read my review. Because they can't explain when they get called out for being crooked. You would be really dumb to trust this place with anything. They are probably closing soon so don't be surprised if you lose money after giving them any.

Positive experience: The school is good. But make sure you get the proper details because they might tell you one thing and then when you actually start, they’ll tell you another. I struggle with dyslexia and it was super hard for me to get past the quizzes and understand the curriculum. they only teach one way.

Fantastic experience: Grown man and woman rules, very professional. They don't just train you to get a Class-A license, they prepare you for the actual career and lifestyle of a professional driver. The instructors and staff make you feel like you're at your second home. Be prepared for a fast pace course, but you won't be left behind. Be prepared to learn and be taught, or else you will be reminded there are other students hungrier than you and that are willing to work with them. Military friendly* and understanding of real life problems. You get what you put in, use the instructors for their years of knowledge and thousands of miles on the road......don't use them as a punching bag!!! Positive experience: Polite and respectful, VA approved! Only bad thing is its training on automatics only.. (fontana ca) would have attended if they had manual transmissions.

Fantastic experience: Love the school, and instructors. School manager Mr. Salazar is a good manager and he's a good human being as well. Gave me respect and respected everyone else at the school. Time management was a plus +. Instructors Richard, Joel, Bad Boy Rick, and Fred were all awesome.

Fantastic experience: I wanna give special thanks for each and every instructor I've dealt with and been taught by in Fontana: Mr Robert, Mrs Monica, Mr Fred, Mr Rick, Mr Eric, Mr Richard, Mr Dave and Mr Joel. And thanks to Phoenix school for having me and welcoming me during my preparation for the test. PS: I passed the test from the first time. It's not hard it just needs commitment, discipline and hard work. It's an amazing school with experienced crew.... I'm strongly recommend it for everyone and if you thought about going to Phoenix.... please don't kill your self by going in the summer, just enjoy it in the winter. And good luck everyone.
