Fantastic experience: We have used suburban driving school twice now with both of my newly licensed children. I 100% would recommend Mike to any new driver! From giving them the ins and outs of driving, what to do in different scenarios to getting ready to take their road test. Very patient and professional. I even learned a trick on parallel parking! A+ in my book. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: We had such a great experience with Suburban Driving and consider our time with Mike money well spent! He quickly identified the areas my son needed to work on and provided concrete, easy to follow instructions for practice. Mike was able to really connect with my teen, which made him more open to feedback and strategies for improvement. Our teacher Mike was able to effectively teach tricky skills like parallel parking; blind spots and three point turns. We took 2 lessons with Suburban, his confidence exploded, and he passed his road test! Our entire experience was amazing. Fantastic experience: Recently, I took a 3 session driver evaluation with Suburban Drivers School. This was required by the assisted living facility where I live. My instructor, Michael DeMay, took me out for lessons in residential, highway and expressway driving. He was an excellent instructor--very patient when explaining everything I needed to do. He was calm and never raised his voice. He explained what I did wrong and praised what I did correctly. It was a pleasure driving with Mike! In conclusion, I would like to recommend Mike DeMay and Suburban Drivers School to anyone who would like to start driving for the first time or just refresh their driving skills. Fantastic experience: My son recently completed a defensive driving course at Suburban Driving School in Fairport, NY, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the experience. The school has three instructors, two of whom are named Mike, and all three are also coaches for high school sports. Their background as coaches showed in their teaching style—fast-paced, focused, and adaptable to athletes like my son. The instructors provided excellent driving tips, such as driving one mile per hour below the speed limit, never crossing a solid line, and avoiding entering a crosswalk when pedestrians are present. These were all key for acing the driving test, and my son managed to score a perfect 100%. We practiced essential maneuvers, including K-turns and parallel parking, both of which were thoroughly covered. They also ran several mock driving tests, which gave my son the confidence and practice he needed to excel. What really stood out was the personal touch—this course was clearly tuned to my son’s athletic background, keeping him engaged and on pace. The instructors made the experience educational, practical, and enjoyable. I highly recommend Suburban Driving School for any young drivers looking to develop strong defensive driving skills and prepare for their test.

Experienced, knowledgeable instructors giving clear, explicit lessons on defensive, safe driving while preparing first time drivers for their road test but also teaching our children the laws of the road, for lifelong safe driving. Both of my son’s passed their road test the first time!

Fantastic experience: Our experience with Mike and Suburban Driving School was excellent. My daughter took Driver's Ed and then we did a few additional independent lessons with Mike for some personalized attention (and a sanity check for Mom!). Mike is professional, kind, courteous and patient and extremely knowledgeable for both continued safe driving as well as road test tips (which aren't always one and the same!) My daughter's concern, of course, was passing her road test, which with Mike's assistance, she did on her first try, but being able to ride along in the car, was both instructive for me as a parent as well as reassuring that she was truly ready to take this step as a licensed driver. I highly recommend Mike and Suburban Driving School. We intend to also sign up for the Defensive Driving Course to cut down on insurance costs over a 3 year period. Thank you again, Mike!

Every new and experienced driver needs a reminder of all things involved with being on the road- and about who else is on the road. Fantastic experience: My son took Drivers Ed with the teachers from Suburban Driving School, as well as individual lessons with 3 of them. I can't say enough good things about this driving school. My son was somewhat hesitant about driving at first, but because of these teachers, he enjoyed the lessons, learned alot, and passed his road test on the first try. As a parent riding along in the back of the car during the lessons, it refreshed my memory on alot of details that fade when you start driving in "auto-pilot." I highly recommend this school for both kids and adults.

Fantastic experience: My daughter took 2 driving lessons to fine tune her skills prior to taking the road test. The Suburban Driving instructors shared many helpful tips to ensure that she was driving safely and in accordance with the expected rules of the road for the test. The instructors were very positive and encouraging which really boosted my daughter’s confidence. She passed the road test on her first attempt and was even complimented on her parallel parking by the DMV tester!

Fantastic experience: Mike was very helpful. I definitely reccomend this driving school. I stated my concerns (I have complex ptsd and severe anxiety) and I was listened to, and with help and effort I got my license. If you would like to learn give them a try and don't be scared. It will work out. Also I live in the middle of nowhere with no one else to teach me, and it worked out well any way. Good luck to everyone else learning to drive, and stay safe.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had a few driving lessons with Coach Demay. She learned many key points to remember when driving every day and things to remember when taking the test. He gave her great tips to use when parallel parking and doing the 3 point turn! . What I also like about his lessons are that as a parent you are in the car as well so you hear what he says to your child and then you can replicate than when practicing on your own. I highly recommend Suburban Driving when preparing your young driver to get out on the road. His lessons will give you peace of mind when your young driver is out on the roads alone.

Fantastic experience: Mike was very helpful. My son needed help preparing for his road test. I came across Suburban Driving while searching Google for driving instructors. After one hour with Mike my son was able to pass his road test. He gave very helpful tips and practiced all the things a road test expects. The rate was very reasonable and he was quick and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend him for all your driving needs!

Negative experience: Less painful than the online class. Can be a waste of Senior money & Time. Lesson should focus more on: Driving with Cataracs Reaction Times Managing GPS Coping with G'Children in your car etc..

Fantastic experience: Highly highly highly recommend!! I was on zoom for the 5 hour course and BEST CLASS EVER!!! Honestly he’s a lot of fun. I’m one of those kids that loses focus after a few seconds but I took Mr. Demays online 5 hour course and I focused the whole time !! I learned a lot that’s a record for me. I was giggling so much my mom honestly thought I was lying about being on the zoom! And after words she asked me questions to make sure I payed attention and I rattled every answer off perfectly!! Can’t wait for doing drivers Ed here ! My brother said he had tons of fun too we were both on together. Honestly that was the best zoom I have ever been on it was a lot fun ! He is always extremely nice with my questions also I ask him things like everyday and he answers everyday! He goes above and beyond! Honestly I see why he has perfect ratings he is amazing and my parents are gladly going to drive me all the way up to this school to learn to drive. Honestly for me to give 5 stars says alot go through my rating for companies and businesses I am harsh I NEVER give 5 stars ever !! But I mean he’s really really good he deserves like 10! Highly highly highly recommend! I will add more on to my review after drivers Ed. The pic is his drawing of a tree I think I can’t remember but if it is a tree it’s a very nice tree.

Fantastic experience: The owner is extremely helpful and has a lot of knowledge about driving. I just took the 5 hour pre license course and it was simple and went over a lot of useful information including: what to If pulled over, how to place your seatbelt, how far you should be from the wheel and used visual aid to help explain his points for intersections and things like who has the right away. Overall he was a very good teacher and I would 1000% recommend him

Fantastic experience: The 60 minute road test prep lesson was super helpful and gave me confidence going into my test. Mike teaches a great parallel parking method that allowed me to nail my parallel park every time. After only one driving lesson, I was able to pass my test.

Fantastic experience: After talking with Mike we had our son do his 5hr pre licensing course with suburban driving school. Mike made the class interesting and engaging. Mike also took the time to make sure everyone in the class understood the material he was presenting. We also had our son take a 1hr road lesson 2 weeks before his road test. John was a huge help making sure he knew what would be expected from the road test examiner. I would highly recommend these road lessons to any new driver, or someone preparing for their road test. We have been so happy with the service and communication we have received that we are all going to take the defensive driving class next so we can take advantage of the insurance savings.
