Fantastic experience: I passed my driver’s test the first time. I had a great, patient instructor named Troi! He helped me practice the DMV routes and gain confidence driving! I highly recommend having him as an instructor!:)

Fantastic experience: I had recently completed my drive test on first attempt, and AP helped me by providing a good driving instructor, Troi De Silva. The experience overall informed me of all the parts of the drive test and ultimately got me my license and made me a better driver.

Fantastic experience: I did the VIP Driving Lesson package. I just passed my test with zero errors. My instructor, Troi De Silva, was amazing. He is incredibly patient and met me where I was at every lesson.

Fantastic experience: Passed my test first with Alisson with very few errors. Highly knowledgeable instructor with clear, concise and friendly teaching methods. Took me only a month from my first lesson to DMV Test. Very much recommended.

Negative experience: Avoid instructor Denys Bushell at all costs. He is an extremely impatient and rude instructor. He made sarcastic comments throughout my lesson such as “Wow. We’re all over the place today, aren’t we?” and “You know you can turn at a red light, right?”. He did not give clear instructions on how to do certain tasks for a beginner and got angry at me several times for my mistakes. These tasks were ones that I were brand new to and have never done in my first driving lesson. I was extremely uncomfortable throughout my session with him, and do not believe people like him should be doing this job.

Positive experience: Had a good experience with AP driving school. Troi was a knowledgeable and patient instructor and gave me lots of tips that helped me pass the driving test first time. Taking lessons with him made me feel more comfortable and confident with driving overall.

Negative experience: I received a call from the owner Jason yesterday. I was told that my son's driving instructor, Troi de Silva, did not feel safe during lessons with my son and they have decided to cancel all future lessons. I let my son drive in between lessons so that he can get enough practice behind the wheel to improve for the next lesson. Again, this is after his third lesson over the course of about 6 weeks or so. I would think he has gotten better over time, but if not, I wanted to know what about the lesson was so dangerous so we would know what to work on with the next driving school. Jason told me he was not going to share that information with me and that they reserve the right to refuse lessons to anyone. If it was driving related, why would you not share what had Troi so uncomfortable? And if was NOT driving related, as a mother I want to know what happened. This is what upset me. I asked my son about his lesson right after he returned home, and he said everything was good. The ONLY feedback he had ever received from Troi was that they would need to work on turns in intersections after the first lesson. I asked my son about the lesson again after I received the disturbing call. He again stated the lesson was just as normal as any other time, and they were even discussing how school was going for him. The school takes your money and then gives you a limited schedule with very few options for lessons and they only have 1-2 instructors available at the location closest to Bellflower. I am disappointed that my son did not get an instructor that cared enough to at least tell me why he felt he did not want to continue lessons. Again, if it was safety related, you would think he would have enough integrity to let me know after his lesson that he won't be continuing, and tell me what was risking his safety. Instead he was a coward and had Jason make a tasteless and pointless call about cancelling future lessons with no further elaboration. Please, spend your money elsewhere and find a reliable, dependable driving school that actually cares about the students they are supposed to be serving. This review is not posted to receive a weak response from the company with you repeating what I said in a way to make you look like you're the victim in this. Save it. I just want people to know what a waste of time this place is. Truly disgusted.

Fantastic experience: My son worked with Troi De Silva. Troi was very patient, friendly, and professional. He arrived on time and had my son drive to the DMV where he was scheduled to take his test so my son would be familiar with the route. We also worked with Troi a few years prior for my daughter and my nephew. Everyone passed their test on the first try! All teens had a positive experience and felt more confident about their driving ability after their sessions. I highly recommend Troi as a driving instructor.

Fantastic experience: Great experience with this school. Khoa was my instructor, he’s a super chill guy who really cares that you learn how to be safe on the road. He goes above and beyond the basic curriculum to ensure that you become a better driver overall.

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience with AP Driving School. Jason is very reliable, knowledgeable and easy to work with. He always showed up on time and my daughter enjoyed every lesson with him. Thanks to Jason, my daughter passed her road test in the first try with very good scores and a "well done" remark from the DMV instructor. Jason is very honest too. We liked how he trained our daughter so much that we wanted to purchase more lessons, but he told us there was no need. I highly recommend AP Driving School!

My instructor, Jessica was very patient with me, especially a middle aged person who rarely drives. Told my mistakes at the end of each lesson and what I need to improve. Passed with flying colors when I took my driving exam.

Fantastic experience: My son had an excellent experience with AP Driving School. Before selecting a driving school to go with I looked over numerous reviews. Many reviews talked highly of the instructors and this was the selling point for me. My son had been anxious about driving and I needed someone understanding and calm to assist him. AP Driving School surpassed my expectations from the first lesson with David "Mr. Adventure" Mason. He was kind and funny from the moment we opened the door. He helped us, the parents feel at ease. Brianna Spyier was absolutely awesome as well. My son found it beneficial having different instructors to get different perspectives. The website was user friendly in allowing me to schedule an appointment that fit into his schedule, as well as reschedule an appointment. Thanks so much AP Driving School for making my son a confident driver on the road!

Fantastic experience: Dude, Randy is a freakin legend. As an ex-cop, he knows all the rules inside out, and teaches more than how to pass the test. He really gets people to learn how to drive properly and safely in the streets, and his teaching method fit perfectly for me. I would say that the 20 hour package (which I took) is the perfect sweet spot or price and effectiveness. It’s not complete overkill, but it’s more than enough practice to get the skills you need. This place rocks, plain and simple.

Positive experience: Bri was an amazing driving instructor. I would recommend her to anyone wanting to prepare for the drive test. Imnot giving 5 stats because you have to talk to the owner before scheduling and he was really frustrating to deal with.

Fantastic experience: I had Randy as my instructor and he was an amazing teacher. As an international student, I had experience driving abroad but was not familiar with the US road rules. After around 6-8 lessons, I took the drivers exam and was able to pass it with full marks. Investing in these classes was a great way to learn how to drive and I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested.

Fantastic experience: My instructor in Davis, Randy, was very nice. Always on time, sometimes 5 minutes early waiting outside for me! He could see my skills and let me drive a lot from the get go and that helped me really step out of my comfort zone while feeling safe knowing there was a professional driver next to me! Randy made useful tips that helped me along the way and made sure I could ask any questions I had. Worth the money because those sessions helped me feel more confident on the road and now I have my license, not possible without the help of an instructor on the other side of the wheel!

I was an adult student driver with zero experience and was very nervous but Kiki (Keilana) made me feel comfortable instantly due to her awesome personality and professionalism. Her teaching style was so helpful that I upgraded to the freeway package (very simple to do) and ended up passing on my first try in a very short time. Thank you :)

Fantastic experience: Randy was my instructor when I took lessons in Davis. He was super chill and knew all the routes inside and out. I’ve drove and took the test but failed before, so I was relatively calm behind the wheel. We talked about school and just whatever, it was fun taking lessons with him. I basically cussed at everyone who pulled out in front of me haha. Overall, I do recommend him as a great instructor. He lets you make decisions on your own at intersections to go or not, but is still there in case you mess up. In terms of the test, it was pretty easy. My DMV didn’t test lane changes even tho I could lane change no problem. I passed with only two errors on my new permit first try :))

The fun, amazing and professional Keilana was my instructor from start to finish, thought me everything I needed to know to become a safe driver and pass the drivers test in no time! Would recommend this driving school to anyone at any age looking to improve their driving skills.

Negative experience: didn't tell me I didn't need to take driving test for out of state license transfer, but still Eric acted like I needed to take the test and the fee for dmv accompaniment test was $400 for 2 tests, pricey. had only a few good road pointers, but complete waste of time. failed both tests. and Eric was disrespectful of space, suddenly took the wheel nudged my arm when I wasn't really off the lane. don't trust them.

Positive experience: I had a good experience with the AP driving. I took only one driving class and the instructor was very patient with me. She explained everything, what all I need to clear my behind the wheel driving test. The only issue was it was quite costly. I took my behind the wheels driving test and cleared it in the first try.

Fantastic experience: My driving instructor, Allison was very professional and was always clear on when to take turns and when to stop. Thanks to her, i was able to pass my behind-the-wheel test on the first try! (My google name is different from my actual name) I wish i could give Allison a gift card for Starbucks or something. 10/10 would pay to let her teach my sister too!

My son had several different instructors Keilana, Jessica, and Jason (due to our schedule) and they were all professional, patient, knowledgeable, kind, and encouraging. He felt comfortable and confident before taking his driver's test and passed on the first try!

Fantastic experience: I had Mr.Vaughan as my instructor and a great experience learning driving technique under his instruction. In my first lesson, he kindly taught me with thorough details, ranging from fundamental driving technique to logical traffic laws to ensure a safe driving.

Fantastic experience: Nothing but praise for AP Driving School! The owner, Jason Park, and my 15 year old daughter’s driving instructor, Lupe, were very friendly, professional, and accommodating to our schedules to ensure my daughter could complete all of her behind the wheel lessons in a timely manner. Lupe was not only friendly with a lot of positive energy, but she was also very patient and communicative, so my daughter felt comfortable and less nervous about driving being a first time driver. It was a great experience for my teenage daughter and for myself!

Positive experience: I had instructor Jason Park. He was very professional with my mother, and myself. I did not feel uncomfortable when I made any mistakes while driving, but it was was clear when they were made. He did a good job at keeping me calm, and he explained everything very clearly. I especially appreciated when he used a toy car to explain how to execute a three point turn, the visual helped immensely. Overall, a great first lesson.

Fantastic experience: I really want to take some time to think about this before I wrote it. I can't say enough about how amazing this man is. I know that should be review about his driving school but I honestly want to say that the owner it's just a solid guy with a great heart. I'm a guy so for me to say that doesn't come easy but he's honestly just a fantastic person. I had to take a re-examination test for medical reasons it was a humbling experience to say the least. He was so great in terms of understanding my situation and helping me to focus on what I need to do to make sure that I would pass the drive test (which I did pass by the way). The experience was honestly the best I think I could've had! Five stars all the way!

My son has gained confidence behind the wheel due to the patient and helpful instruction he is receiving. And as a parents, we are receiving the assistance we need to help him be a good and safe driver.

Teaching our own son to drive isn't the best for my blood pressure so we decided to use AP Driving school based off of a referral from one of my sons classmate that's already using them. Great value and wonderful communication. Planning to have our second child also use Jason and AP Driving school when it's her time. Thanks Jason!!

Fantastic experience: We were so pleased with AP Driving school for our daughter! Before we signed up, we had a million questions and AP Driving School was the only company to get back to us in a timely manner (and usually our questions were answered within about an hour). Our daughter was very nervous about learning how to drive, and Randy Vaughn (her instructor) was incredibly understanding. Randy's calm, patient demeanor put her at ease immediately, and when they returned from the first lesson, she had a new-found confidence. Randy gave our daughter helpful tips, took her on a variety of routes so that she was prepared for her driving test, and she passed with flying colors on the first try. We would wholeheartedly recommend AP Driving School to anyone who is new to driving!

Fantastic experience: My 16 year old’s instructor at AP driving school was Jason Park, he was timely, professional and also funny. He is a retired engineer who does teaching for fun. We used his car for the driving test and he took extra time to give my son encouragement and pointers. He also sent us reminders for our lessons. As a busy mom I appreciated his followup. My son passed the driving test on his first attempt. If he is still there when my second son is a little older we hope to find him again.

Negative experience: The driving instructor picked up a new student before my time ended and had me sit in the back seat while this new inexperienced driver did her driving lesson. After 30 minutes of this scary experience I was finally taken back home. I called to complain and the owner said that this is their normal policy and practice.

Negative experience: So I had a driving test this past week and due to there negligence of there vehicle I failed because there break light was out than they made it seem as if I was responsible and no apology or nothing but I was rudely told get ur refund and go somewhere else . I would not recommend this place at all everything that happened was due to them not checking there vehicle Please don’t waist your time here u may fail your test because they don’t check vehicle maintenance

Fantastic experience: Wonderful!! Randy is very helpful and has great conversation. I failed my first driving test, and he was great at catering to my needs as to what to practice in the daily lesson plans. Get your driving lessons with this school. You wont regret it!
